On an island all of it's own, the prestigious University of Aquaria
is a powerhouse of Aschen education. The university tends to be
more liberal, expressly in the area of Xenophobia. During the
semester, everyone lives on campus. Beneath the island are
caves and waterfalls, surrounding it more small islands to explore.

Darryl clicked the television off. He would get enough politics as soon as he left the refuge of his luxury on campus condo. He kicked his feet up on the couch and stretched out. Prince was stepping down. The news was monumental; he just knew campus would be in an uproar almost in an instant. He could almost consider himself in a state of disbelief.
After a few minutes contemplation, for there would be a new election, Darryl sat up and grabbed a notebook. He wrote down his thoughts on the matter, set the notebook aside, and put on a cup of coffee.

Katherine just sat in the cafeteria being her usual, invisible self as she's rarely noticed by people. She's just munching on a ham sandwich while reading some books and a bottle of iced tea next to her.
Braxton was back at school for a whole month and still didn't feel like socializing. He sat near a quiet girl who was in his poly-sci class and unwrapped his own sandwich.
She simply looked over at him, doubting he can even see her.
"Maybe I should talk to him," thought Katherine, "You know what, I will."
So she swallowed what was in her mouth and said, "H-Hello there."

"I'll be completely honest... I've been so busy with school work that I haven't payed much attention to the whole thing. Though it is still surprising that somebody would step down though."

"It...It is kind of nice talking to somebody... Most people ignore me as I don't have much of a presence."

Braxton let out half a laugh, "It's nice to talk to someone too. I'll admit i've never noticed you before, but I've been keeping to myself as of late, anyhow."

"While I don't quite know what it is you asked me, I can tell you what my name is since we're speaking. My name is Katherine, Mom calls me Kate so that's also acceptable."

"My name's Braxton, er. I don't have a nickname really. Nice to formally meet you, Kate. I was wondering if you did the homework for poly-sci. You know, the one on Aschen-Taiyou relations? I came up a little short on question five- I don't remember the size of their fleet. I just know it's inferior to ours."

"Well... I did do the homework, but as for question five, I didn't know either. I just put down that they are a lot smaller than ours. I think it's like a 1:8 ratio? I can't remember..."
She shrugged her shoulders. What's one question?

"That sounds about right. I didn't put a ratio," Braxton laughed, but quickly caught himself and scratched the back of his head. He shrugged and gave Kate a half smile. One question?
"Do you wanna walk there with me? We can review the other questions, make sure we're all set just in case we get a pop quiz. Dr. Gwetchen has been a bit," He drew circles in the air by his head, "lately. Have you noticed?"

"Maybe he isn't sleeping," He said, speaking half from experience.

"They're scum," He stated plainly, then continued walking. "Do you know any Taiyou?"

Braxton, too, kept walking down the path. It lead a bit through some landscape, the path forking to descend to the left and ascend to the right. The downward route took them to the polysci building, but not before passing under a waterfall.

“It’s can’t hurt you, look!” He pointed overhead at the LED under lit aquaduct which redirected the water so nobody would get wet.

The two arrived at class, which was about half full. Braxton lead them to a seat somewhere closer to the back. Their professor, Darryl Gwetchen, already stood at the front of the room. He was, however, too busy texting someone to notice the new arrivals.
"So, um, are you a part of any on campus organizations? Sorority, club, or such?" He asked Kate while they waited for class to begin.
