Zale

A city built of function rather than beauty. The city exists solely because of the major trade road running along the north western corner of the city. The road comes in from the north, follows the rounded slope of the enormous mountain and finally exits the area in a mostly western bent. It is internationally illegal to impede traffic on this road in any way, so an additional road was added that loops southeast for a mile or so, then slowly swings around and connects back to the main route farther west. This road, known as the Loop, as the lifeblood of Zale, and the closer one is to it, and consequently, farther from the swamp, the higher one's prestige is.
