A quiet, laid back young woman. When she wants to be. Keeping the peace.
Mostly quiet and laid back, there isn’t much that can get this girl going. She’s so even tempered that it hurts her sometimes, being unable to express much other than a general good conduct and mood. She can be a smart ass, but it’s only a facet of her unique sense of humor. She’s far from warm and sensitive, but she does care. A preexisting tendency to smoke special weeds and herbs to stay calm and even helps her with this, and keeps her in a good mood. Things from her past can provoke a ‘shell shocked’ response, so she prefers to stay even and happy around strangers and loved ones alike. Though she’s a tough shell to crack, she’s a loyal friend, and a generally kind, caring, good person—despite her tendency to make light of even the most serious, horrible situations.
She lives strongly by the motto: “Laugh before you cry. Live before you die,” and her personality reflects it.
She carries a large burlap shoulder sack that hangs to her hip and is usually inflated with items.
Inside one would find:
A brown pair of mostly cloth and leather slipper-style shoes. She rarely wears them but they're old, hand made, and obviously worn.
Straps of cloth or all sizes, textures, and colors, serving various purposes. She gets creative with them, IE hair bands, to dress wounds, etc.
A pipe and rice papers to smoke her herbs with. She hand rolls everything, even tobacco.
A canteen full of water (when she remembers to fill it.)
A small change purse that rarely has anything in it.
One small pocket knife.
Flint.
Being a lover, not a fighter, she carries no weapons. (She doesn't consider the knife a weapon.)
Her past is a mystery even to her. This is what she doesn’t know.
She was born amongst the northern air temple, the land of the monks. Being female she was never permitted to use air bending, or was even know to have power over the air. There was a day when she became curious about the world of men above the clouds, and went to climb the mountain by hand. There she slipped, fell, and smacked her head on the rocks.
A passing group of earth benders were kind enough to rescue her, and when she woke from her month long slumber she had no memory of who she was, where she belonged--- anything. With her rescuers she grew up in the tiny earth bending town, never knowing where she had come from. Until the day her “parents” admitted to the impromptu adoption.
Now she has set out on a journey to discover her real past, and possibly, a real future. She lives her life as a nomad with the wind under her coat tails. And she has no idea that she can, in fact, air bend.
