Description

Image

Name: Edvard Vastag Nagy.

Age: 42.

Gender: Male.

Skills: Gifted with the quick-handling of the ~pen~. Outstanding reflexes he learned to train thanks to the common manipulation of deadly snakes.

Description: Edvard is a Hungarian with a light complexion, and a somewhat lean bodybuild, though he's naturally thick-bodied. He stands at 6'2 with short black hair and a small stubble on his chin. His features are squared and even coarse; he's got a large hooked nose, pale thin lips and small very light green eyes. He also has several piercings in his ears (mainly small silver hoops) and because he has an acute interest in reptiles, had his tongue cut in half when younger because of a reckless caprice, along with getting a large tattoo of a boa which coils around the side of his neck, back and side.
Though he manages English very well, his still very thick accent hasn't softened despite the years he's lived outside of his home town, and it's common for people to misunderstand what he says, driving him to extreme lengths of frustration.
Edvard avoids informal clothes at all costs, and normally wears suits and elegant coats that just boost that already high image he has of himself.

Personality

Incredibly narcissistic and egocentric, believing that very few people have a right to defy whatever he orders or states unless he is directly under them in rank. Thus, the government's diplomats are constantly exposed to this behavior, as are many of his co-workers.
Untidiness and disorder deeply repulse him, and regardless if it's his own property what he is fiddling with or not, he will try to arrange it in whatever way he sees fit. Sometimes, he even goes as far as arranging someone's clothes without their consent, as it's an impulsive need.
He's vengeful, spiteful and easily resents people's actions and manners they use with him.
Despite having a bad temper and an overall bad character, he's an agreeably good, cold-blooded leader in his field of work. Thus he's better at relations and using his forked tongue than he is in a battlefield or a physical confrontation.

Edvard also has an unhealthy obsession with snakes. He owns many and breeds them for his own personal whims, poisonous or otherwise, and lots of the furniture and even jewelry he owns, like the occasional ring or pendant, have snake shapes or something at least reptilian about them. When he's not outside the Labs or his house, he always carries one of his less lethal pets wrapped around his arms or neck, which is normally a Leucistic Blue-eyed Python, and additionally has at least two other reptiles inside his workplace. He insists on feeling uneasy and genuinely uncomfortable without having several of them near and his behavior will turn twitchy and moody if he doesn't find one of the animals' housings when lifting his eyes from his paperwork. If they make anybody around him uncomfortable, he may just gloat them and dismiss it.

Fears: He fears more for his pets than he does for himself. Mainly, being left without them or losing them in some overly clichΓ© and dramatic scene like a house fire or something far more cheesy.

Equipment

-Pens. A wide variety of them.
-May extract poison from some of his pets or carry the snakes themselves if needed be, although he has yet to actually injure somebody like this.
-Very rarely carries a simple semi-automatic pistol. He generally keeps it in one of his desk's drawers, only to be used in emergencies.

History

Having the luck of being born into a prestigious family, Edvard has never suffered any lacking throughout his life, and grew as a spoiled child. His father was an investigator and scientist working for the Lab and gained well while working there; at least enough to please both his wife and his only son, who even in his early years already showed extreme adoration for the slithering reptiles.
The man grew being conscious of the experiments being done and was very interested on the mutations they did, though it was purely superficial. In his early adolescence, he had asked his father many times about the experiments, and had expressed his want to even be mutated with a snake himself. Edvard's father, however, always shot down these ideas immediately and scolded the boy for his 'absolute insanity'.

He never resented his father for popping his desire to be mutated; quite the opposite. When he first visited the Labs, once he had grown older, he mentally cussed and slapped himself over and over for ever wanting such a thing. Witnessing the tests and treatments the mutants went through dried every drop of concern he'd once had in volunteering, and instead satisfied his previous desire by crowding himself with the animals, though his interest in the Lab remained.
He was honestly intrigued by the mutants and the scientific development the Lab had reached, and although he couldn't care less about biological science, as it was the political one where he was already inclined to; Edvard still thought of the Lab as a possible future opportunity. They would still need people daring enough to deal with governmental interventions and their lousy diplomats, after all, and since it was apparently not a very craved position, for not very many are willing to dedicate hours and hours holed up in an office doing paperwork and dealing with thick consuls with less than a two-inched forehead, he pressed on the ambition until he had formally received his university degree in international relations and political science. The job did cost him a lot of sweat and daily dedication, since the works being done inside the facilities were an incredibly delicate subject directly under the government's eye, and he needed to learn to be as sly as the agents they sent to constantly poke the Lab's back with questions.

He has been working for the Lab ever since.
Recent events, like the complete destruction of one of the organization's facilities and the major loss of many mutants and scientists, have been causing him a lot of stress as of late; among them, his father's untimely death. Edvard, though, gives himself little time to mourn and instead buries his brain under piles of paper to divert his thoughts from personal issues and continue being as efficient and useful to the Director as he can afford.

So begins...
