a character in “The Pantheon: Post Cataclysm”, as played by Bromander Shepard

Description

God Name: Nero Ulmoson
Titles: King of Atlantis, The Tempest Son, Lord of the Waves
Creed: "The tide washes away all things. Blood and stone and steel will give way to the might of the sea.'
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Portfolios Governed: Sea
Description: Nero possess a striking resemblance to his father, the previous king of the sea Ulmo. Both deities sporting long, flowing jet black hair like the depths of the ocean itself. Like his father Nero also has sharp, defined angular features that gives him a very attractive yet keen appearance. Beyond his heavenly facial structure, Nero's body is finely sculpted and thick with rippling muscles. Forged in the depths of the sea the New God of the Sea is the epitome of an ocean ruler yet there is one aspect of his appearance that speaks to his mothers side. His piercing eyes hold a striking resemblance to that of his mothers, Nylia Goddess of Seduction.

The only mortals Nero concerns himself with are the ones who call the sea home. Rarely does he interact with "Ground Walkers" as he and the rest of the ocean dwellers call them. Nero knows full well he is above any mortal and makes no attempt to hide his identity when around them. He is the King of Atlantis and God of the Sea and all know it when in his presence. While he does have masterfully crafted armor he rarely wears it and is known to be bare chested the majority of the time. When he does take a less than goddly form he is known to take the shapes of sea fairing animals or creatures, or more miraculous yet, the form of water itself.

Territories: Nero holds sway over one territory but it is quite the territory indeed. He is the supreme ruler of the oceans and all ocean fairing creatures. He commands water in all of it's forms and is known to use that power to it's fullest advantage in combat.

Symbol:

Image

This is the symbol of Nero. A depiction of the Nero's chosen weapon the Trident can be seen emblazoned in the foreground as a show of the Sea God's military prowess and the importance military might has on the Atlantean King and his people. It is worn by followers of Nero in hopes for their God's blessings. Many sailors are known to carve this sigil into their vessels before casting off to sea in hopes for a safe passage.

Personality

Nero is considerably more dangerous than his noble father for his heart beats with the vengeful strength of his Goddess mother. Quick to anger and always ready for battle Nero will bring his oceanic might and all the forces at his command to any who dare threaten his watery domain. Much more the warrior king than his father Nero makes military prowess and readiness of the utmost importance to his seafaring people. His boldness, bravery and devotion to the sea sometimes borders on arrogance as he will openly defy and or challenge any he thinks means harm to his realm.

Mortals: Nero has a fair view of mortals, at least the mortals beneath the waves. He is a benevolent deity to those who call the sea mother and will show great favor to them. The mortals who make their homes on land however are furthest from Nero's mind. He sees the Ground Walkers as crude, savage and disrespectful.

Equipment

Nero's powers alone are impressive enough to warrant no need to wield a weapon of any kind. He commands water of all kinds, being able to send tsunamis or typhoons at will. Summon gigantic waves to wipe away his enemies right off the face of the earth. With a thought he can call massive ice spikes to stab the earth and those on it or freeze the rain causing shards of glass like ice to pelt his foes. despite all this power coupled with his extensive martial prowess Nero still wields a powerful weapon. His fathers Trident now dubbed Tempest after his father. The weapon was forged in the depths of the sea much like Nero himself and he uses this mighty weapon to channel his energies and focus them on any who incur the Sea Gods wrath.

History

Beneath the waves many years ago the Goddess of Seduction took to bed with Ulmo, master of the oceans. It was in that passionate lovers dance that Nero was conceived. Yet the heir to the throne of Atlantis was only carried in his mothers womb for a short time before the unthinkable happened. Nylia believed she had miscarried the seed of Ulmo however this was not the case. The seed of the Sea God could not be properly nurtured on land. There was only place fitting to mold the future ruler of Atlantis and in the deepest region of the sea Nero was brought. Left in the care of the ocean itself he grew from an seed to an infant, from an infant into a boy and from a boy into a man. The Cataclysm came and went while Nero was but a child. A youngling watching from the ocean depths as his father fought valiantly aside his brothers an sisters. As the boy grew into a man he took command of the throne that would be his. He began to learn from all the creatures of the sea. The Mer race created by his father took him in the longest and taught him the ways his father had taught them. How to fight, and how to analyze a battle, how to call the sea creatures to fight at his side. All aspects of war were mastered by the heir to the Atlantean throne and when he came of age he took up his fathers mighty weapons. Now called Tempest in honor of it's previous owner the weapon of the King of Atlantis now rests in Nero's keeping. Nero is now ready to make his presence known to the world and meet his family who he has yet only learned about through legend and tale.
