Likes: - Aisha, Magic, Weapons, Smithing
Dislikes: - Evil, Thieves, Murderers, etc.
Hobbies: - Being an Errand Boy, Studying, Attempting to craft items.
Personality: – Thoroark is a curious and kind-hearted man who works hard at everything he does, however he knows little about his childhood or past and it seems to eat away at him at times. He is rather jolly and helpful to all, although even at his age he loves to cause mischief and despite his size regularly climbs on top of the local tavern with a stolen piece of bread. Of course after so many years its become some-what of a game to catch the giant oaf and he always pays for the bread, either with coin or repair jobs.

EQUIPMENT
Weapons: – Currently Thoroark is fond of a rather large great-sword that to most is monstrously huge, nearing on two sword's length and already three in width, although when compared to the near giant it seems to be perfect in size to almost be wielded one-handed. The hilt is wrapped in bandage and the base of the blade has a large and well-decorated end that has a golden jewel adorning its center. He was told that the blade was found with him when he arrived at Willowspeak, apparently having lugged the chunk of metal for miles on a small piece of cloth that had been shred to pieces.
Combat Attire: – As of yet,he owns no armour and keeps in his normal attire for combat.
Accessories: – None
Miscellaneous:
Two bottles of Fire Brew: Fire Brew is a free-flowing and glowing liquid that emits an orange hued light, The brew is a magical solution to the cold, quite literally putting fire in your gut to warm up the blood that flows through your body to keep you warm. Unfortunately the experience of your skin and muscle tissue changing to become immune to a magical fire that burns for hours is an uncomfortable and painful process, add to that veins and other bodily parts re-forming and re-shaping themselves to allow for the now much warmer blood to continue flowing and you have an extremely painful yet useful brew.

Two near scythe sized Ice-picks: Two Ice-picks hang at either side of the giant's waist around his belt, both near scythe-like in size and covered in various barbs and hooks to dig into the snow and ice, or in unfortunate cases the enemy. The handle is wrapped in a red bandage covered in miniscule bumps to help with grip, small chains and cords adorn the very base of each pick and are harnessed to the giant's wrists via two leather wrist-bands in case they are dropped or knocked from his grip.

A medium-sized rucksack: The rucksack usually contains food and a magical tome that he borrowed from Aisha as well as his coin pouch.
Current Coin: 23 Silver 30 Copper
Current Food: Three loafs of wheat bread, One loaf of sweet bread, Two legs of chicken and Half a chunk of Sweet Bread.
Ammount of Tome studied: 2%.
Spells Learnt from Tome: Minor Ward

FIGHTING STYLE(S)
General/Preferred Style: – Prefers to use his great-sword and relies heavily upon his vast strength and stamina. Often using his huge form as a shield for others and taking large amounts of damage as a result, however curiously he has no scars. He has trained for hours with the weapon and others as well as spending a lot of time lifting heavy objects to help others and being forced to move around quite quickly. All in all as far as average citizens go,he is an extremely strong, durable and flexible fighter.
Hand-to-Hand: – Thoroark is a strong hand-to-hand fighter due to the sheer size of his fists and arms,as well as his unexpected speed considering his size. Although of course he can't out-maneuver a thief or rogue by any means.
Weapons Style: – Uses a Great-sword in combat or his fists, is experienced with most weapons especially swords or large weapons.
Special Abilities: – Gargantuan Strength: Due to his sheer size and years of working hard and training his strength and durability near inhuman levels, many liken him to the old tales of Hercules, compliments he soon waves away.

Chant Magic: - Knows a single warding spell that creates a temporary barrier that can hold weak attacks at bay

He looked up when he heard Ark's booming voice echo down the street and he waved. At the mention of a job his eyes lit up. Something to do at last! His day off would not be wasted after all it seemed.
"Why not? I don't have anything to do today, and a little extra cash wouldn't hurt. I've been meaning to get some new hammers, and the price of steel has gone up recently."
He nodded to himself and smiled. He didn't really care about the money as much as he just wanted something to do, and Aisha's jobs always wound up being more interesting than she cared to let on.

He arched an eyebrow at Lauren when she piped up, then smiled and looked up at Ark. "Ark, this is my new friend Lauren. Lauren, this is Thoroark, but everyone calls him Ark, and no, he's not a giant. Pretty sure he isn't anyway." He ripped off another piece of bread and chewed at it for a while before speaking again, apparently contemplating the best way to go about speaking.
"You're welcome to come with us if you want, and Aisha probably would be willing to pay you for your trouble, but you're more interested in those candles of hers than cash aren't you? 'Course you are." He nodded again and grinned.

"I'll go get my things and let Ed know whats happening. Meet you at the north gate!" He ran off towards the smithy without another word. When he got there, Ed was gone so he left a note on the table and packed his bag. Tent, bedroll, some basic repair tools, some dried meat and fruit in case they couldn't find food, flint and steel, and a box of whet-stones. He then took off his work clothes, got into his traveling gear, and pulled on his armor. It only consisted of greaves, sabatons, a pair of faulds that strapped to the belt, a pauldron, and some thick leather gloves, but he'd found it was all he needed. He strapped his sheathed bastard sword to the belt, grabbed a waterskin, and headed for the north gate.

Tenen caught the coin, placing it in his satchel. He didn’t really need tips, but he decided not to start to start an argument against those two. There was something with them that felt that there isn’t much to go against. He grimaced as the colossal beast ruffled his air; Tenen didn’t really nead a near haircut. Any ways, the invitation was sweet from them, but he shook his head, grinning. “I would gladly accept it,” he said, walking in the same general direction as the tall stranger, “but I came from a long trip myself, and you probably know that it isn’t much of a cakewalk getting around here sometimes. Maybe another time.” He chuckled warmly, waved back at him, bidding a farewell.

Now that this is out of the way, he started on his search for the inn. He had heard that this village had its inn within its tavern, which was easy to locate, since it seems to be the only one around the place. The sign suspended in the air could be read ‘The Frosty Dragon’. ‘The name seems rather inviting,’ he thought in somewhat of a sarcasm. The courier entered into the tavern, which seemed to already have welcomed some guest. He made a small profile around, not wanting to drag much attention to him as he went for paying the owner for a bed. The owner seems to be having a good time; it wouldn’t be surprising since his business seems to work perfect. He took few coins from him, showing where the rooms are, saying it is the third one on the left. He thanked the owner and made his way to his room, which was led by a stair to the second floor, and took his left, and entered into the room that was designed for him.

Once in, he made sure that the door is locked tightly, and he made his way to the desk, putting his satchel on it, putting the backpack in it, and he took a paper out. He went into the bed, reading the paper. It was the commissions he had to do. He made sure that everything was delivered, but it was obvious that he was done with everything, since there was nothing left in his satchel unless for his coin pouch, the backpack, the piece of paper, and few provision for himself. He tossed the paper back into the backpack, and he quickly fell into a deep sleep, seeming that he doesn’t care much of the noise outside of the room. However, when entered into the realm of dreams, he felt a small burning on his back.

Zander looked at Thoroark and smiled. He hadn't had the chance to go on a trip in a while. Even if it was only going to be for a few hours Zander didn't care he just wanted to go and explore. He watched Allan as he took off to get ready which left Zander with Thoroark and Lauren. He looked to the giant "I'm going to head back to the bakery and tell Allora i'm leaving. Hopefully she will let me take some food with me."

He smiled and then headed off to the bakery where Allora was waiting for him. When he walked through the door way she yelled "What took you so long, it couldn't have taken you that long to pick up candles."Zander sighed and then told her the whole story from getting to Aisha's place to Thoroark's field trip.

After she was fully informed Allora could only shake her head at Zander. She finally spoke to him with a smile on her face and a hint of laughter in her voice "Well are you going to take some food for your trip or not?" Zander ran over and hugged her and then packed some food in a small sack. Before he left he hugged Allora again and promised he would be back soon. He decided he would let Lina and John know what he was doing before he left. Zander ran home quickly and found out from Ella that John and Lina went into town. Zander told Ella about his trip and she got excited and begged to come with. After convincing her to stay Zander made her promise to let John know what was going on.

She agreed and that freed Zander up to allow him to meet with Thoroark and the group. When he made it he had a sizable bag filled with two blankets, a sack of food from the bakery, and water.

Laren could only look at Allan with a surprised look "He read right trough me!" she thought, Lauren was used to being called a bad liar but that guy completely found out her plan. And that made her a little mad, so she made a pouting face. When he and Zander left to grab somethings she stayed behind, sulking next to the giant. No matter what Allan said, now that she was more close to him she could only realize the height difference between them make her look like a dwarf "I wonder if this is what rabbits feel when a human stands next to them" she wondered.

After a few moments of silence she looked up and asked him "What to you eat to be that big?" she couldn't hide a slight tone of jealously. After all she had been small her whole life, and it bugged her, but the only person she allowed to call her small was her protector, Daudt, and that was only because he was tall, but this man, Thoroark, was even bigger. Besides being really muscular and he had that gigantic sword that was bigger than her, she should be afraid of him but as she looked up to him, she could see that he was good looking and had a kind smile that made her at ease. But then she remembered she was almost breaking her neck in order to look at him in the eye, so she started sulking again.

Thoroark ruffled his hair as he watched everyone but the small girl who he came to understand was called Lauren run off to prepare. Well at least they were excited, they didn't quite seem to understand where they were going and why, other then it was an errand and they were getting coin. He adjusted his sword so that it sat more comfortably on his broad shoulders, the hilt dug into his shoulder-blade without his cowl to stop it and he was sure that by the end of this errand it'd have bitten through his flesh.

He was a little surprised by Lauren's question and chuckled at the hint of jealousy that seeped into her voice. He crouched to be at more even ground with her and smiled kindly yet again. "Well, As far as I was told upto the age of 5 I lived off of whatever I could scavenge, after that this town's been feeding me bread and beef as if they were trying to fatten me up for dinner. Either that or I eat Hydra Meat, Forest Boar, and if I'm desperate, Troll's Rind." He said without a hint of sarcasm, that is until he grinned,he was completely serious but she didn't need to know that,he began re-adjusting the sword yet again and pulled the sweet bread from a medium sized rucksack he kept tied around his belt, tearing a large chunk from it before putting it away again. He still had all his supplies left from his last grand adventure, it didn't take much equipment to fall down a hole and nearly get eaten.

"Once that lot get back we'll be able to head out, I know the mountains pretty well so I'll just say watch your back. This village is at a point in the world were Frost Troll's, Death Maw's and Ice Golems are common place. On the plus side, we have blue skies, green grasses and all the deadly thing's around the place make for great trading material." He joked, sitting down for a moment to sort all his gear into more convenient places, two ice pick's that looked more like miniature scythes at his belt, two bottles of fire brew next to them and the rest simply shuffled around in his rucksack. "What bring's you here anyway?, if it's Aisha's candles like Allan guessed then luckily for you the herb were going for is what Aisha needs to make some more, all her's died somehow." He said, rubbing at his right eye again as if it were irritated by something stuck in it.

"....the plus side, we have blue skies, green grasses and all the deadly thing's around the place make for great trading material." I would hope so, thought Micheal as he overheard the conversation from atop his stage coach. The two donkeys pulled the modest contraption along the cobbled street at a relaxed pace, their fatigue showing through the slowing rate of the clopping of hoof against stone. It had been a long journey from the last village. And just for some 'damned' candles. Michael would have to find a barn of some kind soon so he could put the poor beasts up in a nice stall. Spotting what looked to be an inn where he could get directions, Michael pulled the reigns back slightly to stop the animals as there was little to no traffic that would be impeded.

"Once that lot get back we'll be able to head out, I know the mountains pretty well so I'll just say watch your back. This village is at a point in the world were Frost Troll's, Death Maw's and Ice Golems are common place.” Michael paused for a moment as he lowered himself down the side of the driver's seat, stopping after hearing 'Troll' and then getting the slight urge to climb back up and keep going when he heard 'Death Maw.' Who the hell says something like that so nonchalantly? Resisting the urge to clamber back up, remembering he probably wouldn't have to deal with something so frightening on a business trip, he lowered himself the rest of the way down and adjusted his greatcoat, slightly shaken but by no means deterred.

“On the plus side, we have blue skies, green grasses and all the deadly thing's around the place make for great trading material." He opened the door to the coach and removed a small coin purse, smiling at the idea of good trading. Frost Troll blood could be useful. Whatever a Death Maw is might have some impressive teeth, maybe a corrosive poison that could be adapted into a cleaning liquid. Ice Golem... maybe there's an animation core that could be recycled into something, unless its some violent poltergeist has possessed a few boulders or something. See Michael, it's not so bad here. Bit nippy, though.

"What brings you here anyway?, if it's Aisha's candles like Allan guessed then luckily for you the herb were going for is what Aisha needs to make some more, all her's died somehow." Michael paused for a moment and only one word crossed his mind. Loudly and drawn out, more a wail than a statement. Shit! He turned to the speaker. For half a moment Michael was impressed with the size of the man who sat there rubbing at his own eye with a great fist, but he was too annoyed to care for more than that.

“Excuse me. Larger gentleman with the sword, you wouldn't happen to be referring to those floating candles, would you?” He spoke slowly and loudly so as to not bother walking the ten feet between him and the larger man, adding emphasis to 'floating' by waving his fingers in the air. Sure of his fears, the query was asked regardless. There's always hope.

He made his way through the crowd of people, dodging crate laden carts and people alike with the ease that only comes after having grown up in such a busy town. He finished his loaf of bread as he walked and wiped the crumbs away with his sleeves, eventually making his way back to the group. "So slow! I thought you'd be at the gate by now."

“Excuse me. Larger gentleman with the sword, you wouldn't happen to be referring to those floating candles, would you?” He looked up at the man riding the carriage and arched an eyebrow. He eyed the man up and down quickly. Long coat, lots of traveling. Carriage, a man of medium wealth. Apparently unarmed so not a noble or anything along those lines. A merchant he concluded. Allan had grown up playing this game with himself and had only grown more accurate over the years. He smiled up at the man and let the scene play out. Likely he would ask for the herb they were about to get for Aisha, in hopes of discerning the Candle Hag's secret recipe. If that were indeed the case then this merchant would probably be booted out of town with a few missing teeth at the least. But Ark was the leader of this little adventure, so Allan left the ordeal to his judgement. He sat on an upturned crate and double checked his bags to make sure he had everything he needed.

Thoroark heard the man yelling, referring to him as the 'Larger Gentleman with the sword' and then the following question. He turned around, still rather tall considering he was sitting on the floor and looked over a few of the shorter people at the man near the carriage. He grinned and wrapped a heavy paw around the hilt of his blade, intending to toy with the man,after-all he wasn't one to harm people, just one to scare the wits out of people for fun.

"Careful what you ask about stranger,I am referring to the candles yes. Though I warn you now,if you're looking to walk away with the recipe for it this town'll send you out to the wilderness on your arse within seconds. We all work together here." He yelled to the stranger, tightening his grip around the blade till his knuckles whitened, standing up with a face like thunder and thumping towards the stranger. He stopped a mere step away and even growled at the new-comer. "If that's the case..." Thoroark continued, unsheathing his sword slightly and looking as if he were about to pull it from it's scabbard...before letting go of the handle and grinning like an idiot, reaching the same hand out and placing it lightly on the man's shoulder.

"Then you're welcome to come along!,I was just messing with you, It's for the candles,I'm mounting a little field-trip into the mountains,Aisha worries about me when I hike up there so if you come along to 'make sure I'm safe' she'll probably be grateful enough to give you a few as a thanks. Without the herb the candles aren't going to be made anyway from what I know." He said with a kind smile, his posture much different from his earlier seemingly murderous intent. "Alright, whoever's coming head to the gate,Quicker we get this done the quicker I actually get to sit down and relax" He commented, smiling to himself as he strolled towards the gate. Picking his rucksack up off the ground by Lauren as he did so and walking off without checking who followed.

When Thoroark got up and started heading to the person who talked to them, with a murderous intent in his way of speech Lauren got preoccupied. She silently drew her bow, she was not standing idle and see someone get hurt, but then Thoroark relaxed and invited the guy with them. "He was only joking." she sighed. Lauren putted her bow away, and headed towards the gate like he said. But she didn't forgot what he said.
"Bread, bear meat, Hydra meat and a little of Troll's Rind. Bread, bear meat, Hydra meat and a little of Troll's Rind" she continued to mutter the ingredients to herself, she wasn't particularly disgusted by the Troll's Rind, she ate worse when she stayed in the wilderness for more than one month, but he said it in a joking tone, so he could be lying to her and that wasn't the secret for being tall at all. Because even though she was 18, she was still hoping she could grow up a little bit more. As she headed for the gate (Following Thoroark, because she still had now idea how to orientate herself in a town) she thought where did this plant grew, and what where the dangers that lied ahead of them, for the enchantress to be worried about Thoroark.

As soon as the tall man grabbed the hilt of that massive sword, Michael thanked his lucky stars that he was wearing his special gloves. Hopefully, should the large man be driven enough to do something, he'd think Michael to be unarmed. One dodge and a good strike to the knee and most people go down. Considering he was close to the coach mean that large hunk of metal might damage it and what was inside, but moving could have just provoked a reaction. Despite the fear, turned mild after so many encounters like this, he kept a straight face. Even cocked an eyebrow as if saying, 'really?'

"Careful what you ask about stranger, I am referring to the candles yes. Though I warn you now, if you're looking to walk away with the recipe for it this town'll send you out to the wilderness on your arse within seconds. We all work together here." The large man yelled back, standing and putting on a face meant to be fierce but Michael had to suppress a laugh. He'd seen this before on bandits half the man's size, and not a single one who did such a thing was in the right line of work. The larger man was in a street full of pedestrians and the 'we all work together here' comment betrayed that he wasn't going to do anything that would harm bystanders. Grabbing a sword he couldn't safely use around the townsfolk betrayed that his intentions were intimidation and nothing more, and that just ruined the whole effect. As the man walked closer, however, Michael grew ready for hand to hand and suppressed a smile with a frown and furrowed brow. Hand to hand with Michael was not a good idea unless you wanted a couple bruised, maybe even broken, ribs. Or, considering the tall man's height, lifelong sterility.

"If that's the case..." He stopped only a step away, causing Michael to nearly betray his faux fear with a laugh. The large man still clung to his sword, even slightly pulling it from the scabbard, but at this range it would have simply caught on the coach and then Michael could easily break something, possibly the jaw if the man had lowered his head in the swing. But since that could simply be a ruse to distract from the large man's free hand, Michael was prepared to simply aim for the manhood with a good kick should he be pinned against the coach. Not exactly honourable tactics, but neither was such conduct from the large man.

That was when the man let go of his sword and grinned like a drunken fool. At this point Michael did truly feel fear as he did not know what was going to happen next. The humour was not lost on him, that a friendly face was more frightening, but that was the nature of trading. If someone came out of a deal smiling, then it was usually a bad deal for the other person. This may be no exception. This feeling was doubled when the large man's great paw was laid on Michael's shoulder, the doubt about the situation piling up.

"Then you're welcome to come along! I was just messing with you, It's for the candles," said the tall man, Michael still unsure of his true intentions, "I'm mounting a little field-trip into the mountains, Aisha worries about me when I hike up there so if you come along to 'make sure I'm safe' she'll probably be grateful enough to give you a few as a thanks. Without the herb the candles aren't going to be made anyway from what I know." Michael stayed still and processed the situation. Blinking slowly, he thought, well... I can't possibly see this backfire in any way, and nodded, letting out a sound of reserved agreement, a simple hum of 'mmm.'

"Alright, whoever's coming head to the gate. Quicker we get this done the quicker I actually get to sit down and relax." So spoke the tall man, walking towards the town gate that Michael had just found his way from. As soon as the tall man no longer took up half Michael's view he breathed a sigh of relief. The sigh stopped as he saw the smaller girl putting what looked to be a bow away. Was she in on it, or fooled? Either a close friend or a perfect stranger, I wouldn't wonder.

Shaking himself from his stupefaction Michael moved into the inn and got directions to a barn where he could store his vehicle and the donkeys. Out of curiosity Michael asked about the candles he had come for and the tall man's information was confirmed when the inn keeper said 'she hasn't been making as many of those as she used to, lately.' 'Damn it all.' he thought to himself, then tipped the innkeeper for his assistance. Two choices were apparent. He could wait at the inn, hoping he wouldn't have to wait long in order to get word about the candles. Maybe take in the local sights. Or he could accompany the large man and his companion, plus whoever else was assisting, and help get what they needed to get the candles that much faster. Michael was leaning towards simply staying put until he thought of something. 'If they're friends of who ever makes the candles, this Aisha person if I heard correctly, then maybe they'll put in a good word for me and I can buy these candles for less and make a bit more of a profit. Hell, maybe this Aisha will be coming along and we could talk business on the way there. Worth a try.' And with that it was decided.

After putting up his donkeys and coach, buying some new food as what he had was getting stale, and, since supplies were low, buying some extra yarn, thread, and fabric in the event of necessary patchwork, Michael went to the town gate and yawned slightly. He wasn't tired enough to require sleep; it was the middle of the day and he was prone to keep odd hours. He was more mentally strained than anything. Nothing the last of the slowly drying bread wouldn't fix.

Leaning against the gate he eyed up the tall man and then shook his head. 'Yeah, that's not going to happen.' He then looked at the woman near him and thought, 'maybe in a few years. Could be the big guy's kid to boot. I like keeping my head on top of my shoulders.' As he thought about this, something occurred to him. He never got there names.

"You know," he said half jokingly, "that wasn't exactly what I expected when I heard of the 'Willowspeak hospitality' that people from nearby towns kept telling me about. I'm Michael. Would the person who makes these candles be joining us on the trip?"

He laughed as he stood up. The look on the merchants faces was priceless! "You'd do well to come with us Mr.Merchant. Your candles won't be ready until after we come back, so why not come with us and make sure it gets done quickly?" With that he walked off after Lauren and Ark, putting his arms behind his head and smiling as he did.

He heard Lauren muttering to herself as he walked up. "Bread, bear meat, Hydra meat, and a little of Troll's Rind." He shook his head and arched an eyebrow up at Ark. "Troll's rind? What have you been telling her Ark? Last time you tried to eat that even YOU were bed ridden for a week. It would've killed a lesser man." He took two long steps a in front of Lauren and turned, walking backwards now but facing Lauren. "Don't even think about trying to eat Trolls rind, you'll only end up dead." There was no smile on his face, he was being dead serious right now and it showed in his eyes.

He turned back around and kept walking, now between Ark and Lauren. "Not to say it doesn't serve a purpose. Prepared correctly, it's a pretty potent medicine. Got Ed through a real nasty fever." He wasn't smiling then either, though they couldn't see. That had been the worst week of his entire life, sitting there, unable to help his own father, well adopted father, as he slowly died. It'd been Ark who'd gotten the rind and Aisha that had made the medicine, and he felt more deeply indebted to them than he cared to admit.

Thoroark grinned and almost ignored everything going on around him until they reached the gate, standing tall and pulling his sword free of it's scabbard to check it for any nicks. The heavy weapon crashed to the ground, even cracking the cobblestone path. The spot he stood in was surrounded by similar cracks of varying sizes, yet none of them seemed to match the small pit that the sword now sat in,something was obviously on the giant's mind. Despite his seemingly brutish behaviour to some he was an emotional man.

"Hm?,No Aisha won't be coming with us....I'm the errand boy, she's the sorceress, mage, whatever you call it from your part of the world. Besides the town feels more at ease when atleast one of us hangs around, This village is kinda famous for housing unique individuals, champion's, heroes and what-not. Or atleast what the rest of Theransted likes to call heroes,it's the only way this little town can exist out here in Willowspeak. Not much else that isn't corrupted lives up this way if you haven't noticed. Atleast I'm never bored right?" He explained, checking the blade over and then pulling the hilt up to elbow height so he could lean on it.

The giant checked his equipment for a final time and then without another word or a thought of leaving anyone behind started slowly walking out of the village,if anyone was lagging behind they could easily catch up with the man. He was taking his time,His monstrous sword held in his right hand, hoisted up and leaning on the accompanying shoulder,a scythe sized ice-pick twirling slowly in the other and his eyes to the sky. Misted over in such a way that gave off that he was in deep thought and nearing on being unaware of the world around him. He would later, eventually start making his way off the path in a sharp diagonal, heading towards the only tree in the area that covered itself in firey orange leaves, the tree that's gnarled branches would point the group towards the frosted Willowspeak and whatever destiny awaited them.

Zander slung his pack over his shoulder. It had a little bit of weight to it from all the things he had packed. He looked around at the group. His gaze stopped on the newcomer, the merchant, this man seemed interesting. He had no reason not to trust the man. But a part of him obviously was nervous about him. Zander knew the trip would entertaining, he then looked down at his rings which made him think of his family. A smile began to grow on his face. He couldn't help it the thought of telling his family about the trip around the dinner table just made him happy. After being lost in his daydream Zander looked up and saw Thoroark walking off. He adjusted his pack so it rested a little easier on his shoulder and then he took off running down the path.

Before he caught up he slowed down to a light jog and then he got a strange feeling. It was like someone was watching him. He looked behind him and no one was there. He shook off the feeling and told himself he was imagining things. He followed Thoroark closely and when they reached the orange leaved tree he picked up a leaf and stuck it in his bag. He was planning to try something with it later. He walked over to Allan and pulled him to the side, he looked at Lauren for a second and then whispered to Allan "You like her don't you." He then let out a childish laugh.

He followed Ark out of town and to the strangely leaved tree, tilting his head as Zander picked a leaf. He wondered what he planned to do with it. He looked at the group as Zander drew him aside. "You like her don't you?" Zander asked him. Allan stopped dead and stared, eyes wide with surprise. What a strange accusation! He'd only known Lauren for the past half an hour. To imply something such as that...!

Behind Allan's brash and occasionally foolish exterior, he was shockingly sensitive. As such, his face went bright red, his jaw clamped shut, and he stared at his feet. "I d-don't know what you're talking about." He brushed passed Zander and quickly returned to the part, strange thoughts racing in his innocent little mind. He couldn't even look at Lauren straight! "Damn Zander! Putting weird ideas in my head!" He thought to himself. Allan had little to no experience with the opposite gender, having grown up without a mother figure of any kind, unless you counted Aisha.

He coughed into his fist and tried to focus, looking up at the town's name sake, Willow peak. The jagged mountain of was home to a great deal of interesting things just waiting to kill anyone who unknowingly attempted to scale it. Fortunately, Thoroark and Lauren were here with them, and would be able to safely guide them up the summit.

Lauren was walking in silence following Thoroark and thinking on what could go wrong with this little trip. She couldn't help it, she was kind of pessimist and avoiding bad scenarios was her job, so she had to think about them. "Some humans may also be looking for the plant, and we may need to fight them for it." she wondered "Or one of us may catch some kind of cold, and transmit to all of us and we could be unable to walk and eventually die in the mountains, frozen to death, or worse..." that was bad. "But the most likely is that some kind of creature may live near the plant." she murmured.

She was getting ready to ask Thoroark in what areas the plant lived in so she could think on what creatures lived near when Allan started coughing into his fists. She immediately remembered the scenario about the cold. So she quickly got to him and pressed a hand to his forehead (in her tiptoes) and started asking some questions. "Do you have headaches? Do you feel cold? Have a drippy nose? Does your throat hurt?" She did so wile looking at his eyes and with a worried tone, she was not dying in a mountain trying to look for some plant used in candle making! So she needed to make sure he didn't have a cold.

Michael was disappointed that this Aisha was not coming along, but he was not deterred from making the trip. He could talk all day and all night just to try to get a good price, but none of that mattered when there was no product to buy. If this herb was so important, then he'd need to make sure they could carry as much as they could down from the mountain. If that meant sharing the load, so be it. But if this place was dangerous enough to warrant a champion to stay in the village, it wasn't exactly comforting.

Staying to the rear of the group, he kept a good twelve paces between himself and the large man. This, he hoped, would keep the younger ones from lagging to far behind. Despite the difference in length of stride, Michael felt confident he'd be able to hold the pace. Plus it gave him a good chance to judge everyone's abilities. The lead man was strong, sure enough, and if was able to use that metal strapped to him effectively they'd be pretty much set. The younger ones seemed slightly more odd.

The one Michael perceived to be youngest, blond and blue eyed, was wearing two rings. Intuition told the merchant that they were magical, possibly amplification. Only as powerful as the user who wears it, which caused Michael to worry slightly. The kid could only be fourteen, fifteen maximum. What kind of power could this kid possibly generate. The second oldest was a brown haired girl, lithe and built like an animal. Someone who knew the wilderness, no doubt. Possibly too well. She carried a bow and, Michael would bet, knew how to use it. Her age was difficult to place. She looked to be fifteen or sixteen, but carried herself with the experience one would expect to see in someone at least half a decade older. Maybe she was just short. If that was a sign that she wasn't getting enough food, then maybe she wasn't as good with a bow as Michael hoped. The oldest of the younger ones looked to be about eighteen or nineteen. This one carried a large sword, a large one at that, and was lightly armoured. Looking at him reminded Michael of a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing. One piece of armour there, another there. Only the legs and one shoulder were visibly protected in any way. Somewhat slapdash, but maybe it was slightly enchanted to give wider protection. 'Hopefully, anyway. Watching the three younger ones interactions made Michael pine for a quick return back to his home on the caravan routes, laying inside one as the uneven road slowly rocked him to sleep like a mothers embrace. Shaking himself loose from the nostalgia, he wondered if... 'You know,' he realized, 'I never got that any of these people's names.'

"You know, before we get any further, I'd like to know some things." Being in the rear, he knew he had to speak up, but since they were barely on the mountain yet he felt safe in making a little noise.

"First off, I'm Michael. Hopefully I'll get some names out of the rest of you. Secondly, even if you won't tell me what we're looking for, at least tell me you know where we are going. Thirdly, what kind of things are you expecting we might run into on this adventure? Lastly, who signed the permission slips for the children to come along?' There was no malice in his voice, at least non discernible. If anything, the only tone was that of concern, especially when combined with the thought of what a Death Maw might be and what it could mean to someone inexperienced.

His face went a deeper shade of red as Lauren put her hand against his forehead, as if checking for a fever. "Do you have headaches? Do you feel cold? Have a drippy nose? Does your throat hurt?" He brushed her hand away lightly. "I'm f-fine. Something in my t-throat is all." He turned away a little abruptly and fumed. Damn that Zander! He gave Zander a light punch to the shoulder as soon as he was in reach, not really hurting him but expressing his displeasure quite clearly.

He turned his head as he heard Mr.Merchant speak up. "You know, before we get any further, I'd like to know some things. First off, I'm Michael. Hopefully I'll get some names out of the rest of you. Secondly, even if you won't tell me what we're looking for, at least tell me you know where we are going. Thirdly, what kind of things are you expecting we might run into on this adventure? Lastly, who signed the permission slips for the children to come along?"

So, his name was Michael, that was good to know. "Well, I'm Allan, we're looking for an herb that only grows on the mountain just over there." He pointed over at Willow's Peak and resumed speaking. "We might run into trolls, goblins, large bats, and who knows what else. They tend to live in the caves on mountains like this one. Just be prepared for... Well anything really." He unsheathed a small length of this sword, pushing up on the cross guard with his thumb, as if to demonstrate that he, at least, was indeed prepared. "If you don't think you can handle it, you should probably head back to town before it's to late." He the sword fall back into the scabbard and kept walking. He chose to ignore the last comment, as he couldn't think of an answer that didn't involve punching the man in the teeth. There was a small group of people in town of people who'd lost their teeth making stupid comments like that. They met on Wednesdays. He'd attended one time. They'd given him a cake. He shook his head at the thought. Those people are weird, but nice enough.

Thoroark sighed heavily and increased his pace a little, hoping to reach the mountain before the moon even poked it's cold white head out from the cloudline.

"Firstly, nice to meet you I'm Thoroark the Giant of Willowspeak, You can call me Ark. Secondly if you haven't noticed the giant spiral of an icy peak that we're making a beeline for then I'm not sure what to tell you. That there's the towns namesake,Willowspeak. One of the deadliest mountains you'll find in the south of this world. There are of course worse ones like Maw's Hollow and the stupidly named Death's Spire. But we can't have everything sadly, third best will have to do. Thirdly WE are expecting as Allan pointed out, Troll's,Goblin's,Large bat's and the likes. I personally thanks to my reputation amongst this mountains inhabitants, am expecting thing's like colossal ice worm's called Death Maw's, Frost Scorpions, Crystal Golems, Maybe an Avatar of Lightning or two. The last one's just because this place is tall it has nothing to do with me. Lastly I'd more be asking who signed your permission slip, half these kids have probably had more combat experience then a travelling merchant. I can't speak for Lauren but this isn't the first errand Zander and Allan have come with me on." Thoroark answered, more grumpily then usual. Rubbing heavily at his right eye again before shaking his head vigorously and increasing his pace once more. Eventually taking his first step's onto lightly snow covered grounds. The base of the mountain having appeared seemingly out of nowhere considering they were within tall green grass not two minutes ago.

"Welcome to Willowspeak, Called that only because it was too morbid to call it Widowspeak. Lots of sad love songs and tales of adventurers climbing it to never return to their loved ones. But we'll ignore the gossip and get to work, the plant is somewhere near the mid-point, in a cave ussually so trolls are already a given." He announced to the group, bringing his sword off of his shoulder to rest more comfortably in his hand, ready to swing at the first hint of movement.

Lauren calmed down when Allan said he was okay "Don't overreact Lauren, it's just a simple errand, don't overreact" she thought for herself, she starting thinking about more dangerous scenarios and how to avoid them, at the same time she was checking their surroundings. Then Michael started talking, she was about to tell him her name and make a proper introduction until he said the children comment. She turned around and looked at him, boiling with rage, she was ready to start yelling some colorful words about what who she thought was kid when Allan spoke, she waited until he was finished. But he didn't mentioned the comment, then Ark also started talking. Lauren was starting to calm down. But he also called her a kid!

But seeing as she was more calm she figured that starting a fight would only delay them and she didn't knew if the group was able to stay in the mountain during the night, so she turned around again and continued walking forward with a quicker pace. "And my name is Lauren, but I'm not a kid I'm 18 (probably, but they don't need to hear that) and I've been walking forests like this since I remember, and little side note, don't call me a kid ever again." The last sentence was said with an harsher tone. Then she continued glaring at the path ahead still trying to calm down, she needed to fix her anger issues.

Zander chuckled lightly because he knew he had rattled Allen by accusing him of liking Lauren. This trip was going to entertain him even more than he thought. When the merchant opened his mouth and called Zander "a child" it didn't sit well with him. It angered him slightly but he didn't want to say anything or else the man's words would be shown as truth. Zander simply ignored the man's comment. When he was struck in the shoulder by Allen it stung a little but Zander simply gave him two quick jabs right back and made his escape before Allen could retaliate. Zander made his way over to Thoroark and kept pace with the giant so he could have a quick conversation "Thanks for inviting me on this trip. I really needed to get out and have some fun. Also this merchant seems out of place I just don't want him to become a burden."

Zander stood back a bit after he said that. He remembered when he went on his first trip with Thoroark and how much of a liability he had been. He felt a little bad having said that about this man he didn't even know the merchants comments must have angered him more than he was willing to admit to himself.
