It was sunset and the last rays of sunlight beamed in through the window to Elijah's office. He was sat at his desk typing up a report on his computer. Every so often he would look down at some notes scrawled in his messy handwriting. After a while, he had finished typing up the notes and ran a hand through his hair and turned the computer off.
He stood up and left the room, making sure to lock the door behind him. He walked down the corridor until he reached some stair at the end of it that lead down into a basement. After turning on a torch, he walked down the stairs and shivered a little at the sudden change in temperature. At the bottom of the stairs was a large metal door, and screams could be heard from the other side of it.
...Talia...
She struggled to free herself from her restraints, screaming everytime the metal cut her arms. The large door creaked open and light from Elijah's torch filled the room. Talia her to blink several times to get used to the change in the amount of light. Elijah walked over to her and unstrapped her from the table she was on. She quickly got up and backed away, before she cowered in the corner of the room. Tears welled up in her eyes as Elijah approached her.
But, Elijah didn't try to hurt her. Instead he reached behind her and shoved open a door. "Go." He grunted and gestured outside.
Talia looked up at him, clearly confused. But she quickly stood up straight and ran out as fast as she could, wanting to be as far away from that place as possible.
