Mary Louise Terrowin lived a long, prosperous life. She had a happy marriage until her husband died suddenly of a heart attack when her youngest child was 3 years old, while her oldest was 25. Mary Louise never re-married, raising 4 children all by herself. Her children were 25, 23, 20 and 3 years old. Needless to say, their last child was not planned.

Unfortunately, the tragedy did not stop for Mary Louise. Her youngest child, 3 year old Benjamin, died in his sleep. 25 year old Robert was in a car accident that paralyzed him from the waist down a year later. 23 year old Thomas was indited on fraud and put in jail 3 years after Roberts accident. 20 year old Leslie, the youngest of the remaining living boys, who was lovingly called Les, lost his wife in the birth of his first child, a daughter, just a year after the indictment of Thomas.

However, not all was bad for Mary Louise Terrowin. She had three beautiful granddaughters. The oldest was Thomas's child, Ellyn. The middle granddaughter was Roberts daughter, Josselyn. The youngest was Les's daughter, and arguably the most beautiful, Mirabell. All three girls were being raised by their grandmother, Mary Louise, until she died.



The cousins were only about 3 months apart in age, so all were 18 years old when Mary Louise Terrowin died. The girls were cleaning out her house to sell it when they found a box, a box labeled the Terrowin box. There was an inscription on the box which read: "Open me and see, see the truth of what was to be, to be for your family."

The girls couldn't resist the temptation, so they opened the box. In a flash of light, the Terrowin Box seemed to transport them to another world. Suddenly, the girls were all in beautiful gowns of King Henry the VII's period. They heard footsteps on the stairs, and a young girl with red hair and freckles opened the door. The girls were so shocked, they couldn't remember how to act.

The girl addressed them as "the Ladies Terrowin," and called their grandmother into the room to make sure they weren't ill. Suddenly, before them, their grandmother Mary Louise was alive again. The young, beautiful woman explained to them that, in order to break the curse on their family, they would have to do something unthinkable: they would have to insure that Anne Boleyn became the Queen. To do so, they would need the help of many unsuspecting people. They would have to live in the times, marry who the King told them to marry, and live the way the people of the day lived.
