Personality
Tessa is kind and compassionate. Some have even referred to her as “motherly.” Though Tessa is, seemingly, a bit young to be described in such a way, it is true that she tends to grow close to people quickly, and has the type of personality which incites others to come to her with their confidences. It is a gift and a burden, but Tessa would never turn a depressed or down-trodden soul away, and she is quick to dole out advice or comfort as needed.
Tessa is also extremely mild-mannered, though, that is not to say that she is either quiet or shy; she is neither. However, she keeps strict control of her emotions, and is never quick to show offense, anger, fear, or the like. And, she treats everyone with the same warmth and openness, even when they annoy her.
Brief Description
With a lean and toned form, Tessa stands at 5‘8“ and 122 Lbs. She holds herself with a grace uncommon in such a young woman, and takes pride in her extremely good posture. She sports a fluidity and flexibility in her movements brought about by years of shifting with the shadows and seeking unlikely places to keep hidden.
Tessa is rarely seen without her sparkling smile, rivaled only by the vague sadness which can be seen in her eyes as a consequence of her sad past.
Likes
Animals, the smell of a chill in the air, violin solos, when someone gives her a cute nickname, laughing, anything cute and/or cuddly. Above all, Tessa has a special gleam in her eyes for babies, though.
Dislikes
Her job, Unfit parents, talking about her past, people who are cruel or unnecessarily confrontational, spiders, when the sun gets in her eyes.
Strengths
Tessa‘s greatest strength lies in her patience. It gives her the ability to wait until the perfect moment to strike, whether it be on a job, during combat, or even in day-to-day conversations. She also possesses wisdom beyond her years, and of course, her extreme flexibility comes in handy.
Weaknesses
She is not what most people would consider physically strong, and she could easily be overpowered in hand-to-hand combat, which is why she prefers striking from afar. She also has a hard time realizing when people no longer want her advice, and once the door is open, she has been know to be rather bossy.
History
Thieving was not Tessa‘s first option. When she was 13, she was selected to be an apprentice Priestess and healer. She continued in that profession until the age of 16 when she was seduced by a much older man and began an affair which later became public. She was consequently shunned by the priesthood.
It was at this time when Tessa discovered that she was with child.
With little hope of an honest profession, Tessa turned to the only other option she had. Thieves, after all, don’t care about the sins you’ve committed as long a you are talented. They were the only people who would take her in.
Even with an income, Tessa did not feel that she would be able to be a good mother. She gave her child away. But, there is not a day goes by which she doesn’t regret her decision, and she finds herself looking closely at every young blonde girl with ice-blue eyes to see if it might be the daughter she let go.
