Dominika is reserved and level-headed, even if a situation she's in is chaotic or violent. She doesn't feel the need to be the center of conversation, and is much more interested in staying to herself vs. projecting herself outwards on others for attention.
Curiosity is another strong aspect of Dominika's personality. If there's something unique, interesting, or even potentially dangerous to check out, she's the first to volunteer and then document her experience - usually via her camera or tablet. She's incredibly fearless, but somewhat recklessly. Unlike a soldier, who is trained to be fearless yet practical, Dominika is fearless in the sense that she'll just try something new or go check something out without weighing or caring about all the consequences - in other words, recklessly.
Due to the fact that she's so reserved people naturally assume she's shy, or weird, and don't immediately approach her. However in reality Dominika isn't shy in the least and is incredibly friendly and helpful to those who ask, the key is that people have to approach her since she typically won't approach them first.
✫ Bio ✫
Dominika was born in Russia. Her mother was native to Russia and her father was an American from Puerto Rico living in Russia for business. Dominika's mother could manipulate Air and helped Dominika learn to control her gift to manipulate water as a child. However there were a small cult of people in Russia who were aware of their familial ability to use elemental magic, and out of religious zealotry they vowed to rid their country - then the world - of those who practiced magic, or as they called them - "satan's pawns." Dominika and her mother soon came under threat from these individuals and the family would flee Moscow to the countryside, but that wasn't far enough and soon the family fled the country for Scotland, where they'd stay until Dominika was 16 years old and the family was once again tracked down by a cult of people who wanted them dead. The family's new plan was to get away on a cruise ship heading to America, however when it came time to go they only had enough fare for two, and despite Dominika's resistance her mother begged her to get on the ship and take her 8 year old brother Damien with her.

Once they arrived in Florida Dominika was able to sneak her and her brother off the ship and eventually make their way to Louisiana - where her parents had told her of a community of others like her, however they wouldn't stay together long before the cops picked them up for loitering. Being 16 Dominika was legally able to live without her parents, but her brother wasn't and the state wasn't willing to give custody to her since she didn't have a job and refused to tell them anything more than "our parents left us on the street."
Knowing nothing of American law Dominika and her brother were separated. She eventually moved to the small town her mother told her of, which was an hour or so from the city. She'd continue to visit her brother in the orphanage until he was adopted by a suburban family who lived a few hours outside of the city. Not being able to travel that far frequently Dominika eventually lost contact with Damien until recently - when she found him on social media. The moment they began to correspond it was evident the bond they shared as siblings was as strong as it ever had been before and the two remain incredibly close to this day. However, with the new threat of Venatores Dominika refuses to visit him or have him visit her out of fear for his safety. Neither have been contacted by their parents since arriving in the states and therefore have no idea whether they've escaped, been captured, or been killed, they just know they've got to forever remain on guard.

Water[Ice] Manipulation. Water is the element she can manipulate, however Ice is the form of Water she tends to work with the most.
Dominika can control and manipulate her element from the smallest amount of moisture in the air to a large body of water - granted she has never tried to manipulate anything larger than a moderately sized lake.
Her powers are magical and she only has to focus then use her hands to bring forth her power, however she uses jewels worn around her neck or elsewhere on her body to strengthen her power. Without the jewels she can only manipulate small amounts of water at a time. Also, her powers are loosely attached to her emotional state and if her emotions take a sharp turn it could possibly cause a reaction like snow flakes. (Think Elsa, but on a MUCH smaller scale and with MUCH better control similar to Raven from TeenTitans).
✫ Place of Residence✫
Dominika is one of only a few other full-time employees at the Town Library outside of Liberian Marley Kay, so when Marley told her that the Loft on the 4/5th floor directly above the library was vacant she thought it would be the perfect spot to move into. Being new to Magdelena she has resisted their invitations to move in with them, however she can frequently be found at the Magdelena home studying with the senior teachers.
