Personality
Sparky is an intelligent and unique individual. She can often come off as socially awkward, preferring the world of television and video games to actual human interaction. As such, when she speaks to people she can sometimes be described as manic and hyperactive. She is only that way when she is nervous or tense. She is often an obsessive person and gets emotionally invested in things easily. Oftentimes, it is a book or a television series that she has on DVD, but it's not uncommon for her to take great interest in real life either.
She really loves electronics and sometimes talks to her television or equipment as if they were real people. Many often think she's strange and some even find her perky and manic personality annoying, but she has no interest in what others think of her. She isn't easily intimidated by others and will stand up for what she thinks is right. She would like to be more of a leader in her tribe, but is content to stay a follower for the moment. Her impending death frightens her and so she often feels pressured to help the Mystics in finding a cure.

History:
Joo-Eun was born the third and last child to South Korean immigrants. Like many Asian children, she was pressured to do her best in not only school but in other aspects of her life. She excelled in mathematical classes but did poorly in history classes and English. Outside of school her father wanted her to learn about technology viewing at as the future. She learned a lot about computer coding but didn't take a lot of interest in that part of technology. She was more interested in how it all came together to work.
Her older brothers went on to become a doctor and a surgeon and they were the pride and joy of the family. She was praised, but not as often as her siblings and so she worked harder to become worthy of her parents approval. She graduated high school early despite her poor English and History grades and started to attend college when she was 16. She majored in Engineering, specifically nuclear and electromechanical.
The outbreak began not long after her first semester at college. She came home to find her parents unresponsive. She called her eldest brother, Tae-Hyun, the doctor, to come and help, but he never picked up the phone. He had just had his 26th birthday. Her second brother, Jin-Ho, the surgeon picked up his phone him only being 24, he was alive. He came and helped do what he can, but their parents were dead.
Soon the tribes were formed and she was chosen as a Cyber for obvious reasons. Her brother went to the Mystics and was the Co-Piper before he died on his birthday. He made many advancements towards a cure in the short time he had left and Joo-Eun now helps the Mystics in any way she possibly can, continuing her brother's work.
