Satoshi isn't much different in the real world from The World R2.5. He is very kind, generous, and warm-hearted, helping those out in need. While in the real world, he will often pay for meals with his friends, help with things such as homework as well as personal problems. In The World, he has no problem questing with lower levels and giving them good equipment and money. The main difference between the real Satoshi and him as Riku, is his shyness in the real world. He talks rarely and enjoys silence. While playing as Riku, he is often the one to start conversations and offer help first.
Blackout - Black out is a special weapon custom for the Adept Rogue whom has chosen Blade Brandier and Steam Gunner for their two classes. It can only be received by completing a limited time only event specifically designed for Adept Rogues known simply as "The Epitaph's Blessing". The event was extremely difficult and excruciating, resulting in only 10 members completing the quest out of the 9,000 that signed up. The weapon allows for the Adept Rogue to seamlessly combine the skills and abilities of the Blade Brandier and Steam Gunner into one class, allowing for even more versatility and skill.
Wings of Epitaph - Another item given out to the few who completed "The Epitaph's Blessing" event. They are a pair of wings unique to each user. Riku's are black feathered wings with red tips. Rather than coming from his upper back by his shoulder blades, they come from his lower back. Other than making the user look cool, they have no purpose.
Satoshi was born in Tokyo, Japan. When he turned 8, his parents got divorced. His mom received custody of him, moving to Kyoto with him. She began drinking and taking her anger out on the young and innocent boy. It started out as belittling him and shouting vulgarities, but the words slowly turned into fists. He spends almost all of his time locked in his room playing The World.
Riku is a player that has gained quite a reputation for himself, being considered "The Balmung of The World R2.5". He is one of the lucky 10 players to have completed "The Epitaph's Blessing" event, receiving the Adept Rogue Job Combination weapon "Blackout" as well as "The Wings of Epitaph" and the title "Chosen of Corbenik". He is a member of the select (so far) 2 man clan "The Descendants of Cernunnos". Cernunnos is, in The World's mythologiy, The Lord of the Dead. Riku is known for being a strong, skilled, and kind player as well as a frequent PKK.
