Name: Philip Ward Lefeuvre
Nickname: Philip
Birthday: August 16
Family / Past:
The Lefeuvres is a prominent family in Northern France. They founded a steel and iron manufacturing company which supports the country’s major machinery and automotive corporations. They also have numerous global business partners mainly from Great Britain, Germany and America. Due to these international relations, the Lefeuvres go abroad frequently.
Antonio Lefeuvre holds majority of the company’s shares with his wife Elaine Marie Ward. Antonio met Elaine in America wherein she was a brand manager of Ford’s SUV. When they decided to settle down, they moved back to France and bore 3 children namely Louis, Madelaine, and Philip. Louis, who is 12 years older than Philip, is now a successful lawyer and has his own family. Madelaine is about to graduate from Wharton’s MBA program; she is presupposed to inherit the family business, while Philip is struggling in his undergraduate studies in Columbia.
Philip was pressured by his family to enter to Columbia University and take Finance as a major. In order for him to take hold of the family business, they believed that he should be equipped with adequate knowledge to run the corporation. He never wanted to inherit the family business or least be involved with it. Yet, he was compelled to uphold the family name and to match the successes of both his brother and sister. Despite of him having a negative inclination towards his family and the business, he is still passionate about one thing, and that is art.
Philip’s interest in art started when he was spending his first summer in America. The Madisons, who owns a Publication Firm, invited the Lefeuvres to spend the break with them in their lake house. There he met a young girl named Katelynn; she was eight the same age as he was. Expectedly, there was a language barrier between them as Philip’s native language is French. He didn’t know how to communicate but Katelynn showed him how. Using a crayon and a piece of paper, she drew what she wanted to say and in reply Philip drew back. He developed the love for drawing at that time; he realized that is a way to communicate and express his thoughts that words cannot define (that also meant literally).
For several years, the Lefeuvres spend their summer vacation in the lake house. Consequently, Philip and Katelynn’s friendship grew and became best friends. However, as they entered high school this was taken for granted.
Personality:
Philip likes to draw, from landscape to personal portraits. This side of him was never recognized by his family for they believe he lacks perseverance. Instead they insisted him to enter an Ivy League university than a school of arts in Paris. Due to this, he lost confidence on things he wanted to do so he decided to do in the end what is expected of him.
He is also stubborn. He acts before he thinks which is mostly the cause of several brawls and arguments he encountered. Moreover, he normally stays behind the scenes and tends to slack off given the opportunity. However, even with his lazy attitude, he still gets by. He is pretty much sociable and moderately popular due to his family background. He is also a heavy drinker, and act half-soberly at most times.
Because of the good mix of high financial capability, sociability, creativity and exoticness of being French, a lot of girls get attracted to him; consequently, he highly takes advantage of it. Since he is continuously dating different girls only in a short span of time, he has no idea how it is to be committed to someone. However, he is greatly loyal to his friends.
