A guerrilla Blademaster who has no love for either the Kingdom or the Locust.
Mengsk is, in a word, disarming. He is a very open man, kind and thoughtful. He often wears a smile and makes few enemies in his day to day life. However this belies another part of the man. He is underneath a somber sage and keen, cold warrior. Due to his separation from the society of the Kingdom for so long, Mengsk can see beyond the normal view point and understand the very forces behind the choices and actions of the rulers. In this way he has learned to not trust the kingdom. However, the destructiveness of the Locust stirs a greater anger.
He wears the fire red/orange and black robes as a sign of his ability. Such garb is not taken lightly by anyone unless they are fools.
He wields a multitude of weapons, all magically resistant to the elements. Upon his back he carries a Katana, a weapon unknown to most in Castor. He also bears two curved knives sheathed at his hip.
Mengsk was born and ordinary peasant boy in a village far west of Castor. Him, as well as all around him had little or no understanding or contact with the rest of the kingdom. From the very moment he opened them, his eyes have caused tensions amongst the village. Spawning many superstitions about witchcraft and sorcery. Indeed incidents occured about the boy, as if nature itself was trying to kill him. However only a few more extreme people allowed this tension to change their opinion of the charming boy.
Some strangers arrived in the village, hooded and cloaked in red and black. They were looking for the boy. After a discussion with his parents they took him. A chance for a peasant boy to become something greater, was his father's words. Mengsk. He was taken far to the east, outside of Feign to a monastery of sorts. Here he learned the way of the blade master before returning as a warrior for good at the age of 26.
