Considered the pretty boy of his department much to his ire. Jax is large and in charge. He cuts as a striking man with an easy, lazy grin. His eyes could be describes as his own personal mood ring. When he's happy, his eyes are a bright light blue. But if he's upset, his eyes appear to be more green. His hair is usually cut short but with work, amongst other priorities, sometimes forgets to make an appointment with his barber. On such occasions, his hair is left a bit longer that tends to curl a bit, leaving a wave like-texture. He's almost always seen with a bit of scruff on his face, adding to his charm. As for attire, Jax's closet compromises of button up dress shirts and dress pants for work, a suit here and there, and some causal t-shirts with denim jeans.

He's really on a path of self-discovery.
Fears
Failing himself, and those he cares about. There's nothing worse than letting people down. || The future, in general. His future, and the future of the nation, especially in New York.
Strengths
Intelligent. Book smart, and street smart, Jax knows what he's doing. || Brave. He won't back down from a challenge, no matter how large. || Quick thinking. You have to be in law-enforcement.

He's not sure of himself at times. This can lead to making abrupt decisions that may not be the best for himself or others. || Jax isn't the most patient man. He doesn't like waiting around forever. He likes things to be continuous and have an easy flow.

Jax isn't your typical DEA officer, all game and no play; in fact he loved to see the more humorous side of things. That doesn't mean he is incapable of being serious though. When in uniform, he takes his job very seriously and does everything he possibly can to get the job done. The effort and heart he puts into his work is admirable. Making the city a safer place has always been a goal. Not just for himself of course, but for everyone. Unfortunately due to his impulsiveness and reckless behavior, it can land him in some danger or sticky situations.
Outside of work is a different story though. He just likes to have a good time, whether that involves going out with some coworkers for a beer at the local bar or club, or staying in and having a small get together with close friends. He hates being bored and having nothing to occupy his time. It's not that he needs constant attention, it's just that having something to do keeps his mind off of things he rather not be thinking about. So to keep him busy, he surrounds himself with people so that he'll always have someone to go to. With his witty personality, he may seem a bit harsh, but he doesn't mean to. His sarcastic nature either makes people love him, or just tolerate him. He was also stubborn. Once he had his mind set, it was hard to dissuade him any other way.
Jax is one of those kind of guys you want to be friends with. Always quick to smile and make you laugh to cheer you up. He's always there to lend a helping hand and can be honest to a fault with you. If someone needed a ride anywhere, or a shoulder to lean on, Jax was there. He is caring and doesn't like to see others hurt. But if he thought you were making a stupid decision, he would let you know. Too bad, he didn't take his own advice though.

Jax was in total control of himself and his life, or so he thought. Growing up in a big city taught him many things, and his Irish family taught him the meaning and importance of loyalty and family. Than why was he seeing another woman when he already had a good girl that he's known for five years?
He hadn't gone out intentionally and looked for another woman to spend time with. It's just with his problems at work and his mother's illness, he needed some comfort. With Amelia always at work and hardly having time, he found the comfort and support in Luella. It had started with a canceled last minute dinner reservation because of Amelia's job, not that he entirely blamed her, so he took off to be with some friends when he had met Luella. She was funny and together the shared many similar interests. Better yet, she always had time for him.
The guilt was eating at him 24/7. He meant to tell Amelia that their relationship wasn't moving forward like it should and that perhaps they should take a break. She had been acting strange around him as well when they were together and thought that maybe she had someone else too, so believing that, he thought telling her the truth wouldn't be as hard. Jax also thought it best that they talk in person and not have everything be said over the phone but whenever he tried planning something with her she gave one of her regular excuses as to why she couldn't make it and that she was sorry.
Not only did he feel guilty towards Amelia but also towards Luella. She was a great girl who had shown him nothing but compassion and he felt like with his current situation, he was throwing her compassion away. She didn't deserve a "half-way" guy, and he wanted to tell her, he just wasn't sure how, but he knew she had suspicions and that it was only a matter of time before he had to come clean, to both of the women in his life.
