Full Name
"I hate it, but it's not like I can change it." Rianne Beatrice Del Rey [ Ree-Anne ]

Nickname
"I really don't care." Rianne isn't a fan of her name. To her, it's too girly, even though she's a walking whirlwind of lip-gloss and hair-product. She doesn't hate it, but she doesn't particularly prefer it either. Her mother likes it because it sounds "sophisticated" and "classy" so her mother calls her Rianne, as do her father and sister and other relatives, but no one else really does. She prefers her sportier nicknames outside of the home, and tends to introduce herself as these. Only those in her family really know her real name. Most of the time, people at school or in her social group call her Ryan. She likes this nickname the most, because she's always liked the idea of using a boy's name for a girl, but others include Ri [ Ree ], Ann (which she's not too fond of, but tolerates), Rey (which is actually the second part of her last name, but works with her first as well), Ria [ Ree-Uh ], or Ry. She doesn't like to use her middle name at all, because it's even more awful than her first, so she just sticks with variations of her first.

Age
"I can't wait to graduate and get the fuck out of here." Eighteen. Senior in high-school

Gender
"Really?" Female

Role
"The Queen-fucking-bee." Girl Two

Eyes
"Nothing special I guess." Ryan has very dark chocolate brown eyes. They're so dark that, in most lightings, they actually appear black though, at times, the sunlight will catch slight amber tones in them that bake them brown. They're not a shocking aqua or unique grey, but they still have a way of captivating you and stealing your attention.

Hair
"It's the envy of all my blonde haired, blue-eyed accomplices." Ria has extremely long, dark brown hair. It swings down to her waist in dark locks that other girls look at with jealousy. It's shining and soft and, like her eyes, is so dark that, at times, can appear almost black while, at others is a rich chocolate brown. She loves her hair and doesn't cut it unless her ends start to get dead, hence it's length. Naturally, it's rather wavy, but Ri styles her hair all the time. Sometimes she'll curl it in big thick, bouncing curls, other times she'll curl it into smaller, springy ringlets, and even more often, Ryan will straighten her hair, making it even longer. For cheer, she has to wear it up, but other than this, she usually likes to let it hang down.

Skin Tone
"Blessed." Ryan's skin tone is a rich, smooth olive. She's lovely tanned and stays this way all winter, unlike some of the other girls she hangs out with, her tan is natural, not sprayed or acquired in a bed. Lots of girls envy her ability to stay richly tanned even in the winter just as they envy the flawlessness of her complexion, seeming to practically glow.

Build
"I know I don't look like much, but I can be a real bitch." Ryan isn't very tall or sturdy. In fact, she's fairly small. This factor helps her in both her dance and her cheer because it makes her light, but in other aspects of life, it can be a real pain in the ass. A lot of people look at her and see her round face and fragile looking stature and assume she's a lot younger than she actually is. Until she opens her mouth to talk, people rarely take her seriously, assuming she's young, innocent, and naive.

Distinct Markings
"My mom would probably kill me if she knew I had any imperfections."
Piercings
Ryan's mother doesn't particularly like any form of imperfection, this includes piercings and tattoos. She got her ears pierced when she was fifteen, she had a friend on the cheer team do it for her and her mother nearly exploded, however, she allowed her to keep them, so long as this was the only piercing she ever got. Well, naturally, if you tell Ry not to do something, she tries her best to do it. So she also has, not only her firsts pierced in her ears, but also her seconds, thirds, and, on her right ear, her cartilage. She keeps this from her mother, leaving the holes empty save for the first when she's around her. Other than this, she also has her bellybutton pierced. Of course, she hides this from her mother as well.
Scars
Ryan doesn't really have many scars. She's lived a rather "easy" life, hasn't ever really had to work hard at much, save for dance, so her skin is rather perfect. However, she does have one scar along the back of her shoulder. It's not huge, and she told her mother she got it in a minor car accident with a friend when, the reality is, Jason, her boyfriend of three and a half years, gave it to her in a drunken rage. He'd swung at her with an empty whiskey bottle, intending to hit her across the head, but he stumbled and missed, hitting her on the back. The bottle shattered and left shards in her neck and shoulder. There are scars along her neck, but they're extremely thin and faded, so, unless you're close or looking, the only one you can see is the one on her shoulder.
Tattoos
Her mother hates tattoos even more than she hates piercings, but Ry got them behind her back so there isn't too much she can do about it. Her first, is on her foot, and reads "to dance is to breathe". She also has a small tattoo of a deer head between her shoulder blades. Her final tattoo of hers is on the inside of her middle finger. This one, she didn't intend to get. She got it when she was drunk, and Jason convinced her into it. It's probably her mother's least favorite because it reads: "Give no fucks".

Fears
"Fear is just another word for motivation."
â˜Ș Love → Cliche, sure, but Rianne is terrified of love or being love because, in all honesty, she doesn't think it exists. She thinks it's a myth. She's afraid to be loved because, first of all, she doesn't think anyone could ever love her for who she truly is, because no one knows who she truly is, but she's also afraid of getting hurt. Or of hurting in return.
â˜Ș Spiders → Silly, yes, but they terrify her.
â˜Ș Being alone → Ryan is afraid to be alone and, as such, she is always surrounded by friends. She may not really like any of these people because they're all superficial and shallow, but she doesn't care. Attention is attention.
â˜Ș Being forgotten → Ri is used to being the center of attention. She's never not been the star. The one everyone envies. So she's afraid off being looked over. Of not being the center of attention.

Personality
"They don't call me the bitch because I'm nice." Rianne is an interesting person. If you get to know her anyway. Which is pretty much impossible, seeing as no one really knows her and she likes to keep it that way. She doesn't let anybody know who she really is because even she doesn't know for sure who she is.

On the outside, she's absolutely perfect. All the girls want to be her and all the guys want to be with her. She has it all. Literally. Her parents are both rich, and respectable people, and her and her sister are both dance proteges. She's friends with all the best people in school and is head cheerleader, dating the star football player. She's absolutely stunning, and her dancing is even more stunning. At school, she is, quite literally, the Queen-bee. There's no one above her. Her and her crowd are at the top, the ones everyone wants to be. She could literally not be more perfect.

Though this is way off base. Everyone sees her as nothing more than the queen-bee. They see her as the bitchy cheerleader, mostly because she let's them. She's the popular, bitchy girl with a perfect life and the perfect boyfriend. She get's everything she wants. She's a princess.

Though this is only how others see her. Though she may be a bitch, and takes every possible opportunity to shoot off something sarcastic, there's more to her than that. She hates her life. She's under constant pressure to be perfect, so she cracks sometimes. She's not always happy, and she's not always perfect. No one can be. It just makes her human. The thing about her, is that she keeps these moments of weakness to herself.

She hates her mother and her strict rules, and rebels against her often, for, though she hadn't explored it much, she has a heart for adventure. She's just afraid. She's done rebellious things in her life. She got tattoos when her mother told her not to, she goes to parties, she drinks, and she smokes. She's done drugs, though nothing hard, just a few joints here and there and, once, Jace had to practically force her to do a line of coke. She likes adventure, she just has a hard time branching out because there's always someone watching her. There's always someone to impress.

And that's something important about her. Ryan is constantly aiming to impress. She has a natural need to please people around her, so she can have a tendency, at times, to let them walk over her and take advantage of her, despite the fact that she's a confident, popular bitch, she still needs people. She feels impossibly lonely, because she feels as though her mother doesn't care. She knows she does, but she doesn't show it often. She seems to care more about her dancing than her as a person, and her father is just never home. She loves him dearly, but he's not around enough to notice anything or really care about her. She feels alone, so she has to surround herself with people. Even if they're awful, superficial people.

Ryan is fiercely confident. She doesn't let anyone or anything bring her down. In fact, she's usually the one bringing others down. She likes to play games with people, because she's good at seeing into people. She uses them, messing with their heads before tossing them away because people are disposable. She has three or four friends that she keeps around her at all times, always vying for her attention, tripping over each other to be her best friend, but everyone else, she keeps at arms length. Through it all, she remains aloof, seemingly heartless, wanting others to see her more as nothing but that way.

Another thing about Ry is that she loves a good challenge. She hates the idea of defeat, and, as such, will willingly take on any task thrown her way, no matter how impossible. She can almost never turn down any form of bet, dare or challenge, truly obsessed with the idea of winning.

In the end, there's more to Rianne than meets the eye, though no one ever sees this part of her. She let's people believe, instead, that she's "perfect."

Image| History |
"What do you know?" Ever since she was little, people have envied Rianne. She has it all. Her older sister is actually her half sister, born to her mother and her mother's first husband. However, while her mother was married to her sister's father, she was having an affair. And Rianne is the product of that affair. After she was born, her mother divorced Frankie's father and married her father.

Her father is a successful business man, while her mother owns their dance academy. Their family is exceedingly rich, meaning they get everything they could ever ask for while her and her sister are exceptional dancers. Their family is the picture of perfection. Envied by everyone around them.

Except that this is only the outside. Their mother is incredibly hard on the girls, always holding their dance above everything else, wanting them to be perfect in every aspect possible. Her father isn't a fan of how hard their mother is on them, but there isn't much he can do.

Ri loves her father. Ever since she was a child, she's been a daddy's girl. Her and her mother don't get along in the least bit. She tries to do her best to respect her mother and make her proud, doing everything she asks of her but it's impossibly hard because her mother never seems to be satisfied. No matter how hard she tries, it never seems to be enough. So, when there's something she needs, she goes to her father. He's firm, but considerably less harsh than their mother, and has a particular soft spot for Ri. They get along wonderfully, but the problem is, he's almost never home. His work takes up far too much of his life.

When she became a freshman in high school, Ria met Jason Ackerman. She joined the cheer squad and he joined the football team, and they started dating. They dated on and off for the next three and a half years of high school, becoming the couple of the school. The one everyone gossiped about, though even her relationship isn't all it's cracked up to be. He cheats on her often, and has developed a fairly bad drinking problem that, at times can cause him to be violent.

Of course though, Ria keeps these imperfections in her life to herself.

Dance Without You
Skylar Grey
So serious, all the time
I feel restrained.
I feel confined.
I cannot take your whispering, your whispering

I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself
I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself
For once let me lose myself
So insecure, so uptight
I break my neck, to be polite
I cannot take your whispering, your whispering

I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself
I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself
For once let me lose myself

How can I make history, with your choreography?
Take your hands off me, Take your hands off me
Before I suffocate

I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself
I wanna dance without you
For once just let me lose myself lose myself
For once let me lose myself
Dance With The Devil
Breaking Benjamin
Here I stand, helpless and left for dead.

Close your eyes, so many days go by.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.

I believe in you, I can show you that I can see right through all your empty lies.

I won't stay long, in this world so wrong.

[Chorus:]
Say goodbye, as we dance with the devil tonight.
Don't you dare look at him in the eye, as we dance with the devil tonight?

Trembling, crawling across my skin.
Feeling your cold dead eyes, stealing the life of mine.

I believe in you, I can show you that I can see right through all your empty lies.

I won't last long, in this world so wrong.

[Chorus]

Hold on. Hold on.

[Chorus]

Hold on. Hold on.

Goodbye.

Her whole world had just fallen apart around her. If she thought it was bad before, it was hell now. She’d be lucky if Mark forgave her, hell she’d be lucky if he didn’t leave her. It wasn’t like they’d both cheated and so they could forgive each other. No, there was a good chance she was pregnant and what made it worse, was it might not even be Marks and she hated herself for that.

She jumped when she heard a loud crack and she glanced to Reed, who was now out cold on the ground. She was terrified of what Mark was going to do to her, because when Reed called her a whore, it meant nothing, but when Mark said those kinds of things it tore her apart. He pushed her back against the side of the building, it was hard, but not enough to hurt her, just to scare her. He glared at her and she couldn’t stand it she had to look away.

“When were you going to tell me this Frankie?" He spat inches from her face and there was no use in fighting back her tears, she’d fucked up and no amount of sorrys or I love yous would fix it. "Why did you tell him?" The pain in his voice tore at her heart and she could shake the fear that he might actually leave her.

She couldn’t blame him if she did. If he’d gotten Sadie pregnant as much as it would have killed her she’d have probably left. And, if he did leave, she wouldn’t stop him, because what right would she have to try and stop him, she’d just fucked up his world more then he’d ever be able to fuck up hers. She’d betrayed him in the worst way possible, Reed and Mark were really good friends and she should have known better then to use Reed to get to Mark, but it was too late. He took a step away from her and she hung her head letting herself cry.

"Do you love him?" he breathed and that caused her to look up but he wasn’t looking at her. She closed her eyes letting out a shuttering breath as she slid down the length of the building, pulling her knees to her chest. She let it fall silent for a long moment, because if she said no, would he even believe her at this point?

“No.” She finally whispered, but it was so weak she wasn’t sure he’d heard it, so she tried again. “No, I don’t love him.” She said a little louder. “I love you.” She forced herself to look up at him. “I wasn’t going to tell anyone. I was going to take care of it.” She continued “I didn’t mean to tell him.” She said honestly as she stood up, trying to force herself to be strong despite the fact she felt like she was going to pass out. “I wanted to tell you, but I was scared you’d leave.” She whispered as she closed the distance between the two of them. “You don’t have to believe me, but I love you.” She swallowed hard. “I should go.” she whispered, before starting towards the road.

If she got a taxi, she could go home and pack her things, then she could just go home and deal with her mother and Max’s wrath, because whatever they did to her was nothing compared to Mark hating her or her watching him leave. She wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t stop her and a part of her didn’t want him to stop her, because she didn’t deserve for him to forgive her or try and work things out.

He needed to let go of her. Life with him would be nothing short of heartache and hospital visits. That much had been proven and they’d only been together four months. He’d almost just killed someone, because he’d driven Ryan to cheating on him. Eventually he’d end up in prison, then what, Ryan would be alone and people would be after her, he was surprised she didn’t already have a hit out for her.

"What are you saying Spence?" she breath and he glanced to her watching the way her hand shook, before he looked away. "Are you saying it's over?" She asked and he hated how weak she sounded, like she needed him, when in reality he needed her. She grabbed his face turning it to face her, so he forced himself to hold her eyes "You're not a fuck up. I'm fucking up just as much as you are Spencer. Not everything is your fault." she whispered shaking her head, before releasing his jaw, but he continued looking at her. "I'm not leaving you. I can't." he sighed "I ran into my sister inside. The only person I've ever cared about. She begged me to leave with her, but I said no because I couldn't leave you." she flicked her cigarette away as she stood up and he stood up with her. "But I'm not going to force you to stay with me. So if you want to leave me, I'll go find her."

He rolled his eyes standing up then, holding her eyes before looking away. He was going to hurt her, he knew that much and eventually he’d probably come back to her. That was if she took him back. But, for now he had to let her go, he could keep hurting her, because it was killing him that she was letting him destroy her just because she loved him. She’d be happier without him and the fact that her sister was there, just gave him that much more strength to know he wasn’t leaving her alone.

He grab her wrist but it was gentle. He placed his hand on the back of her neck, so that when he kissed her, she couldn’t pull away. He pulled her close, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her tight against his body as he pressed his lips to hers. He kissed her gently, like the first time he’d kissed her at the club that night and those kisses were rare. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d kissed her like that. He used his grip on her neck to tilt her head to the side more and he deepened the kiss slipping his tongue past her lips. Before he pulled away resting his head against hers, holding her eyes for a moment, before he finally spoke.

“I love you way too much to keep hurting you babe.” He whispered “Your miserable and don’t try and tell me you’re not, all we do is fight.” He sighed. “It’s never going to be over.” He said honestly “But I can’t stay, you don’t belong her.” He stepped away it was easily the hardest thing he’d ever done in his entire life. “Find your sister Ryan, go home.” He whispered but the pain in from having to take a step back and not be selfish for once was easy to hear in his voice. “I love you kitten.” He said and it was the most honest he’d ever been with her. He slipped back inside, quickly disappearing into the crowed so she wouldn’t be able to find him.

Ryan watched him stand, fear rising in her stomach as he did so, having a horrible feeling she knew what was coming next. He held her eyes for a second before looking away and her heart dropped. He was going to do it. He was going to leave her. Suddenly, she felt like she might be sick and she wasn't sure whether to fight him or cry, but he didn't really give her a choice. He reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her close gently and placing a hand on the back of her neck. Ryan held his eyes briefly before he kissed her, making sure she couldn't push him off. Any other day she would have killed to have him kiss her that way, gently, passionately, like she meant everything to him. But, at the moment, she wanted him to stop. Because, even though she had yet to say anything, it felt too much like a goodbye.

Eventually, he pulled away, leaving his forehead against hers. “I love you way too much to keep hurting you babe.” He whispered and Ryan closed her eyes, not wanting to hear what he was saying. “You're miserable and don’t try and tell me you’re not, all we do is fight.” He continued, and Ryan wanted him to stop, but she couldn't find the words to say. Her heart was stopped in her chest and she felt like she couldn't breathe. “It’s never going to be over. But I can’t stay, you don’t belong here.” He stepped away from her and Ryan wanted to pull him back and make him stay but she just stood there and looked at the ground. “Find your sister Ryan, go home. I love you kitten.” He said and Ry closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

When she opened them again, he was gone and she finally let herself cry as she placed a hand on the back of the building and leaned forward until her forehead was pressed against it, trying to breathe. Trying not to have a total breakdown. Suddenly her physical pain felt like nothing. It was a paper cut compared to the gaping hole Spencer had just left in her chest. It took her a long time before she was able to breathe again and she turned and leaned her back against the wall, lighting a cigarette and smoking it in the dark as tears ran down her face silently.

She doubted her sister was still even there. She'd sounded urgent to leave, so she had a feeling she was already gone. Besides, Ri didn't want to have to look at her sister and tell her that the guy she'd walked away from her had left her and that was the only reason she was going back to her now. Eventually, she pushed off the wall and kicked off her heels, picking them up and walking around the building, hoping she could catch a taxi, though not really knowing where to go.

Back home? Ryan winced at the thought of going home to her mother and father and Jason and Karin, but never seeing Frankie again, and, considering they'd both left on the same night, everyone would assume she had something to do with Frankie's disappearance and she'd be questioned and grilled and Max would hate her even more and give her way too much shit and she'd be under constant lock and key, meaning no drugs or drinking to help her deal with the fact that she'd fucked up and lost Spencer.

But where else could she go?

Ryan didn't trust herself to be alone. The thought scared the shit out of her. There was no way she'd be able to run off on her own. She'd wanted to run away since she was a little girl. Even did it once when she was eleven, but she'd come home within four hours because she missed Frankie too much. That's why it had been easy for Spencer to convince her. She'd been wanting it for a long time, she just hadn't wanted to do it alone.

As Ryan came around to the front of the building, she saw a couple of people, pressed up against the wall and, at first, she thought it was just a couple making out, but as she got closer, she heard the guy speaking angrily, and she recognized her sister and froze in the shadows so she couldn't see her, watching as she spoke to the guy, not totally able to hear her words, but able to tell by the body language that things weren't good.

Eventually, her sister walked past the guy, towards the road, and Ry sighed and took one last drag of her cigarette before flicking it away and running out to her, grabbing her wrist and turning her to face her. "Come home with me." Ryan begged, eyes desperate, trying to stop the tears that were running down her cheeks. "I'm tired Frankie. I want to go home." She whispered weakly. "But not without you."

Mark watched as she slid down to sit on the ground. “No.” She finally whispered, but he looked away because, after what he'd jus found out, it was hard to believe. “No, I don’t love him. I love you.” She said and he could feel her eyes on him, but he didn't look at her. “I wasn’t going to tell anyone. I was going to take care of it. I didn’t mean to tell him.” She continued and he glanced back at her, watching her stand. “I wanted to tell you, but I was scared you’d leave.” She whispered and he winced, looking away again as she came close because, as much as he hated it, she was right to be afraid he'd leave. Not that he actually would, he'd never leave her, but he'd given her every right to believe he would. He freaked out and cheated on her because he was too afraid to love her. She had a right to believe the news she was pregnant would make him take off and that killed him. She shouldn't believe that. She should trust him, but he'd given her no reason to.

“You don’t have to believe me, but I love you.” She said and he looked at her again, wanting to pull her close and kiss her and whisper that they'd figure it out. That things would be okay, but he couldn't. He was too hurt by the fact that, not only had she slept with Reed, but she may be pregnant with his child and hadn't told him and then, just to turn the knife in his back, she'd told Reed instead. “I should go.” she whispered, and that took him by surprise, watching as she walked towards the road.

He wanted to call after her and make her stay, while at the same time, he didn't. His mind was made up for him as someone ran out of the shadows and up to her, begging to go home and Mark recognized the girl as her sister. He sighed. It was best if she left even though it hurt like hell. She'd be with her sister again and she'd be at home. He'd stop breaking her heart, and she'd have people around her who wouldn't destroy her. So, without another word, he turned and slipped back inside the club.

Frankie was completely sober now. Even though she didn’t want him to, she was expecting him to come after her and when she’d meant she should go, she kind of just meant back to the house and she’d try to leave but in the end she wouldn’t be able to. She felt someone grab her and in a second she was facing her sister.

"Come home with me." Ryan begged, but she didn’t have to "I'm tired Frankie. I want to go home. But not without you." she whispered and the only thing that would have change Frankie’s mind to make her stay was if Mark came after her. But, when she glance back Mark was walking into the club and as if she’d been watching the whole thing, Sadie was waiting for him as he slipped back inside and Frankie had to fight the urge to break down, because her sister was right there and she had to be strong for both of them.

“Alright.” She said softly, even with just that word you could hear the pure torture in her face. “Let’s go home.” She said lacing her fingers with her sister as the two of them continued towards the road.
---
It had taken them a six hour flight to get home, once the touched down in New York they took a taxi home and they walked through the doors of their house. Her mother was home alone and her step-father was away on business. Their mother hadn’t even been glad to see them. She’d told them how shitty they both looked after slapping them and proceeding to yell at them and demanding to know where they’d been and letting them know how much they’d humiliated her.

Frankie had made up a story, telling her mother she’d got cold feet and she drug Ryan along with her. She’d taken all the blame for her little sister and then her mother had laid into her. Max had come over then and taken her back to the house they’d shared together. They’d fought for hours, until he beat the shit out of her to the point she couldn’t walk, because she’d humiliated not only him but his family.

It was hell, she tried calling Benji, but he didn’t answer. Then there was the agonizing thought that Mark was with Sadie and Sadie had won. She’d even tried calling Mark, but her calls only went to voicemail. The days turned into weeks and then months. Three months had passed by, each one slower than the last. Max practically kept her locked away and only let her out to go to the dance studio, where he stayed until he drove her back home. It was a living hell. Her mother hated her, her fiancĂ© kept her a prisoner in their house, her mother didn’t allow her to see Ryan, and her best friend wanted nothing to do with her.

Then when Max had found out she was pregnant, he’d taken her down and forced her to get an abortion, despite the fact that she’d begged him to let her keep the baby. He’d told her mother which only made her mother hate her that much more. She had thought she was broken before, but now she was shattered. She lost everything and the worst part about it all was she knew she deserved it. More than anything, she wanted Mark back, but that was hopeless, he’d never want her back.

“Stop moping around, we’re going out.” Max said shaking her awake.

“Max please.” She said weakly and it wasn’t hard to tell she was sick. She had dark circles under her eyes, she was pail, and it was obvious she’d been crying. “I don’t feel good.” She whispered.

“You felt good enough to runaround on me and get you self pregnant.” He shrugged. “So get your ass out of bed, so I can take my whore of a fiancĂ© out, for her birthday.” He spat hatefully. She sighed as she rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom. “Maybe you’ll drink yourself to death and do the world a favor.” He said walking from the room.

“Yeah maybe I will.” She whispered to herself as she turned on the shower.

Spencer had gone upstairs that night after leaving Ryan and it took every bit of strength he had, a bag of coke, and two bottles of vodka to keep him from going back and begging her to come back to him. Chris had told him he was stupid for letting her go and then they’d ended up fighting. The next day Spencer had woke up to an empty warehouse, not even his brother was around and it was the weirdest feeling in the world to be alone again after being with Ryan for nearly every day for the past few months.

The first month had flown by, he’d traveled the coast of California. Sleeping on park benches or not sleeping at all. Nearly drinking himself to death a few times and getting kicked out of bars for starting fights. Without her he found it hard to give a shit about anything. He was completely lost and all he fucking thought about was her, she was haunting him and it was killing him.

When the second month came around, he’d ended up stealing enough money to buy a ticket back to New York, where he started living with Tyler again. But, it wasn’t really living with him, because he was either using the house to bring girls home and have sex with them or he was using the house as a place to sell drugs out of, but he never really slept there because he couldn’t stand Tyler.

Nobody wanted to deal with him because he was entirely too far gone. His brother begged him to go find Ryan, because she’d be the only one who could save him. But, Spencer refused and he just kept getting himself into trouble. Stealing shit, starting fights, destroying property, to say he was out of control was an understatement.

Eventually though it all caught up to him and he got arrested, only this time he wasn’t able to talk himself out of it and he got thrown in jail, the courts were still trying to decide if they wanted to stick him in prison, which was looking more and more like his punishment.

“Huntington, you have a visitor.” The cop said and Spencer rolled his eyes.

“If it’s my brother, you can tell him to fuck
” Spencer trailed off as he looked up seeing his brother on the other side of the bars. “What do you want, if you’re not going to pay my bail, go fuck yourself.” He spat harshly.

Going home had been a terrible idea, that much was obvious the moment they walked in the door, but Ryan really hadn't known what else to do and, above all, she wanted to see her father. Only he wasn't home when they'd gotten there, only her mother, and, instead of crying with joy that her daughters were back, she'd slapped them and made sure they felt just how much of a disgrace they were on her perfect family. Frankie had taken the blame, but there was only so much she could do. After all, it wasn't like Frankie could tell them she'd duct taped her and forced her to run away. Besides, her mother had a hard enough time believe Frankie had been the one to initiate it because her mother knew full well how Ri felt about Max and Ria had always been the problematic one, so it was a miracle she'd even bought Frankie's story at all.

Her father was away on business, and her mother had called him to tell him they were back, and Ry thought that would mean he'd come home to see her, but all she got was a half hour on the phone with him and some shitty promise to be home in a month or so. Then Frankie had been taken away to live with Max and Ryan knew she shouldn't have gone home. She rarely saw Frankie. Max wouldn't let her, and her mother was never happy about it when she asked, leading her to believe her mother blamed her for more than she was letting on.

For the first week, Ryan hadn't even gotten out of bed. She'd seriously considered running away again, but she knew it'd be no use. Eventually though, word had gotten out that she'd come back and Jason came over and practically forced her out of her house. But that was it. Her mother refused to let her see anyone but Jason. Even Karin.

Her nineteenth birthday came and went with just a bit if celebrating with Jason, not even bothering to call her father or Frankie, because she'd stopped trying to get ahold of them and had become bitterly pissed at them for not trying to see her.

Ryan didn't even let Jason touch her for the first month, because she was too heartbroken about Spencer, but, eventually, he broke her down and she told him everything, and they started sleeping together again. Her father's promise to be home in a month quickly turned to two, and she lost faith in him. She spent every possible second she could with Jason because he was a good distraction. He liked drugs and drinking, and he'd always been trying to get her into them before she'd left so he was all too happy to discover her new-found addictions.

His parents were always away so she was always at his house, not wanting to be home with her mother, and, as long as she stayed with Jason, her mother didn't seem to mind she was gone. It was when she came home that she threw fits because, when Jason's parents were back and she couldn't stay there anymore, she'd come home wasted and her mother would tell her how easy things would be had she just stayed missing and only Frankie had come home. Her and her mother were at each other's throats whenever they were in the same room because she wasn't taking her shit anymore, but also because Ryan had stopped dancing. She refused to let her mother force her back into it, just because it pissed her off, and they argued about it constantly.

At some point, her mother called her father and begged him to come home because she couldn't handle her anymore and thats when he finally decided to arrive. When she was too much of a hassle and her mother needed his help. Two and a half months and he hadn't so much as returned her calls, and yet, he rushed home the minute her mother asked. And it pissed her off. So she started bitching at him too. She was always looking for a fight. With anyone but Jace, which was weird, because they used to fight all the time, but she didn't want to fight with him anymore.

Jace was there to make her feel better now and she didn't want to ruin that because she had no one else, so she kept herself from fighting with him by doing everything he said, not really caring anymore. All she wanted was Spencer back, but she forced herself to hate even him for leaving her. It was easier if she hated everyone. No one she loved could hurt her if she hated everyone.

Ryan was asleep on Jason's couch at the moment. His parents were gone again so she'd taken the chance to get away from her mother and gone over to his place and she'd spent several hours ranting about her mother while he listened, and then he did what he always did and offered her a drink and took her to his room. When they'd finished, she'd left him, asleep in bed to go get a new bottle of liquor from his fathers special stash and passed out on the couch in her underwear, the half-empty bottle dangling from her fingertips.

Ryan woke to a kiss on the lips and, in her sleepy, half-drunk state, it felt electric, and only one person felt that way. So she moaned and wrapped her arms around the person's neck, dropping the bottle, kissing back hard. "Spencer..." She moaned against his lips and that caused him to stop kissing her and sit up, making Ryan knit her brows and rub her eyes to see that it was Jace. Fuck. Of course it was Jace.

She sighed and placed her legs across his lap before laying back down, tossing her arm over her eyes. "Sorry." She mumbled, and he reached out and grabbed her hair, pulling her up roughly into a sitting position, making her wince as she looked in his eyes. He moved her swiftly so that she was in his lap, straddling him, and Ryan started kissing his jaw and neck, running her fingers along his bare chest, hoping he'd take it as an apology.

"You're still caught up on that asshole?" He asked, leaning back and groaning, lighting a cigarette and letting her continue to kiss him, one hand on the back of her neck to make sure she didn't stop, so she just shook her head as he kissed along his shoulder.

"No, I promise, I'm just tired and a bit drunk." She whispered against his skin. "I didn't mean it."

He nodded and slid his hand from her neck into her hair, using it to pull her lips to his, kissing her hard, slipping his tongue into her mouth so she could taste the cigarette on his lips, making her moan and lean into him. He smirked against her lips before pulling back, keeping his eyes on her while he took a slow drag from his cigarette and the hand that was holding her hair slide down slowly, sliding along her neck and down her spine lightly, making her close her eyes and moan again and he chuckled, blowing his smoke in her face. "I woke you to tell you to call your sister." He said, making her sit back and glare at him. "Damn, if looks could kill, it'd be that one." He laughed before pulling out his phone. "It's her birthday. I know you're pissed at her, but all you have to do is leave a message saying happy birthday, then we can go back to bed. A friend of mine just dropped off some drugs too, so, the sooner you do this, the sooner we get shitfaced." He grinned and dialed the number before pressing the phone against her ear, watching her while he held it there and smoked.

Ryan waited as it rung, holding his eyes until it went to voicemail, like it always did because her sister never answered her phone anymore and when Max picked up, he wouldn't let her talk to her, no matter how much she threatened him. The beep sounded and Ryan let the line hang there silent for a second, holding his eyes like she was taunting him, before Jace wrapped an arm around her and squeezed her tightly, making her smirk. "Happy birthday bitch." She finally said into the phone before hanging up and taking Jason's cigarette, throwing it away and kissing him hard. "Come on." She said against his lips. "Let's go get fucked."

"God, I love you." He groaned against her lips and Ri laughed and kissed down his neck.

"Love you too babe." She said nonchalantly and he grabbed her hair again and pulled her up so her eyes were level with his.

"Look me in the eye and say it. Without smirking." He said, voice suddenly serious and she held his eyes.

"I. Love. You." She breathed, leaning close to kiss him, but he just used his grip on her hair to pull her back again, irritating her because she just wanted to get fucked up and sleep with him and forget her life, but he was being annoying and putting it off.

"Marry me then." He said, holding her eyes and Ryan just blinked in surprise.

"Seriously?" She whispered.

Walking away from her had been the hardest thing he'd ever done. He loved Frankie more than anything, but he couldn't keep fucking her up like he was and he knew if he didn't walk away while he was hurt the way he was, he never would. So he let her go. He had to. For her own good. And possibly her child's, if she wanted to keep it.

He hated himself, he hated her, he hated Reed, he hated Sadie, he hated everyone around him and everyone in his life. That night, he'd gone back inside and, it had taken a lot of drugs, but managed to forget her. At least for the night.

When Teddy did finally drive them home, he'd half hoped to find her there, waiting for him, but their room was empty and he couldn't take it, so he'd gone back to Sadie. The two of them were off and on for two months, because he hated her so much, he kept trying to break it off with her, but then she'd get him back again and they'd start all over again.

Eventually, the two of them left California altogether and headed for Vegas. They spent a week there before, one morning, Mark woke up to find a ring on both his and her finger and no recollection of the night before. So he did what he did best, freaked out, and ran. Before she'd even woken up and he had a chance to ask her what had happened. He wanted out of there as fast as possible, so that's what he did.

He packed his shit, stole the car, and took off.

At first, he had no idea where to go and spent two weeks sleeping in his car before he found himself back in New York, outside his old apartment, which was bustling with people. He'd had to push through a lot of people, but eventually he found Winni and she welcomed him back gladly, despite having taken over the bedroom, leaving him with the couch, but it didn't matter. She said he could stay there and stay there for free so he did.

She threw nightly parties, but Mark could never seem to get Frankie off his mind, no matter how much he snorted, or who he fucked. It didn't help that Benji came to Winni's parties frequently because they were and "item", though it looked more like to him that she was stringing him along, he didn't get involved, because it looked like too late for him to finally have that talk with her about her life. Months too late. He was mainly focused on getting his mind off Frankie, which, of course, made him think about her more.

Mark woke up after a party, on the couch with some girl. She sighed, still asleep, and wrapped an arm tightly around him. He rolled his eyes and nudged her off, pulling his jeans on before standing and forcing everyone who was still in the apartment, besides anyone in Winni's room to leave.

When he was alone, Mark sat at the kitchen table and took his wallet out, pulling out the little plastic ring he'd woken up to find on his finger that morning in Vegas, glaring at it, hoping it didn't really mean what he assumed it did. "What's that? Hopefully you're not planning on giving that to someone. The phrase is: diamonds are a girls best friend. Not plastic." Winni's teasing voice came from behind him and he sighed and put the ring away with a shrug.

"It's nothing." He said, watching as she sat down across from him and glancing up as Benji came out of her bedroom and made her stand before sitting in her seat and pulling her into his lap. They kissed and laughed and said good morning and Mark watched them for a second before rolling his eyes and going out to the balcony for a smoke, wishing more than ever he could see Frankie. At least one more time.

After showering and getting dressed, she covered up how sick she actually was. It wasn’t just that she was physically ill. She’d become depressed ever since the abortion, because she couldn’t shake the over whelming thought that it was Mark’s and not Reed’s. She’d done a million calculations and the timing matched with Mark and that killed her. Not to mention that Max treated her worse than a prostitute, constantly putting her down, beating the shit out of her, and keeping her locked away.

It was her own personal hell. Dancing used to take the pain away, but now even when she dance, she was terrible. Mark was her muse and that much was obvious now that he was gone. She was honestly to the point where she knew no one would care if she was dead.

“Hurry the fuck up, Jesus Christ.” He yelled from the other room and she winced. Frankie didn’t fight him anymore, it was too tiring. She was the definition of battered and broken, you could tell by just looking at her, but no one said anything to Max and no one tried to stop him, because as far as they were all concerned she deserved it.

She slipped into her shoes quickly, despite how sore she was and she plastered a fake smile on her lips before heading to the leaving room. Max rolled his eyes as he stood up grabbing her by her upper arm and dragging her out of the house and out to the car.

They drove in silence, she was more alone then she’d ever been in her life and she hated herself for being the cause of it. Finally they stopped out front of the same country club they’d had their engagement party at and Max, turned on his charm pretending he actually loved her and it made her sick. Once they were inside, they were escorted to a large table.

“Tonight were celebrating our marriage. Try not to fuck it up with you whiny pouty shit.” She knit her eye brows in confusion. “I forged you signature on the papers, were officially married. I have the certificate to prove it. It’s incredible what you can down with a well-known last name and a shit tone of money.” He smirked wickedly.

“Max
” she trailed off, feeling like she was going to faint.

“What?” He spat harshly. “Stop acting so helpless. Your family and my family should be here any time, even Benji’s coming.” She looked away. “Put a smile on Mrs. Vanderbilt, you have an audience tonight.” He smirked wickedly.

“God Damn it Spencer, why don’t you let me talk for once and maybe I’d consider digging you out of this shit hole you got yourself into.” Chris said, seriously worried about his brother. “You screwing yourself, I’m trying to help you.” He pleaded with his brother.

“I don’t need your fucking help!” He practically shouted. “I don’t need anyone’s fucking help.” He hissed.

“Yeah, I know you don’t need anyone’s, help, you never have Spence. Because you won’t let anyone in.” Chris Spat back. “But, I thought you’d want to help out your fucking girlfriend, but I guess you’ve forgotten you have one.” He rolled his eyes starting to walk away.

Spencer rolled his eyes. Trying not to act worried about Ryan, but if Chris was coming to him about Ryan, it had to be bad. He debated on stopping him, finally decided he wanted to at least her what was going on.

“Fuck it, Chris.” He called to his brother standing up and walking over to the bars as Chris came back with an arrogant smirk. “What?” he asked.

“Well, that stupid ass rich kid, who’s currently playing the role of her boyfriend, is in some pretty deep shit with my dealers.” He said casually and Spencer raised a brow. “Apparently, he put Ry up as collateral, if he doesn’t pay up by tonight, there taking her.” Chris sighed running his hand through his hair.

“So what, her stupid ass boyfriend gets what he deserves. Plus she’ll be with you.” He shrugged “It’s not like you’re really going to hurt her.” Spencer scoffed as he went back and sat down.

“Actually, this has nothing to do with me.” Spencer glanced back to his brother. “I simply supply the drugs, the dealers pay me and they deal with the rest, so if he doesn’t pay the dealer, then the dealer takes care of him.” Chris explained. “The only thing I can do
is replace the dealer. They won’t disobey me if I tell them “I’m” taking care of the problem.” Chris smirked wickedly.

Spencer caught on quickly to what he was saying. If Chris told them he was dealing with it personally and sent Spencer instead they wouldn’t question him. Chris was pretty much forcing him to go. It was either Spencer went and filled in for Chris or Spencer had to live with the fact that some lowlife drug dealer had kidnapped his girlfriend and was doing what he wanted with her.

“Fine. Just get me out of this shit hole.” Spencer finally breathed.

"Yeah." Jace answered with a smirk, clearly amused with the shock on her face. "You're really that shocked?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. "Babe, I've loved you since the minute I met you, four years ago on the first day of freshmen year, remember? Your locker was three down from mine, and I couldn't breathe when I saw you. That had never happened to me before so I knew you were special." He started to kiss her neck and Ryan tilted her head and smiled, she'd never heard this story.

"We met three weeks after the year started." She corrected him.

"Yeah, that's because I was too nervous to talk to you." She felt him smirk against her skin. "You're the reason I joined the football team. I knew you were a cheerleader and you didn't even know I existed until the first game."

Ryan smirked. "You walked right over to me after it was over and kissed me." She finished the story for him as he kissed along her shoulder.

"Marry me baby." He whispered. "Highschool sweethearts, come on." He held her tighter. "I can get you away from that bitch of a mother of yours and make you happy."

Ryan sighed, running her fingers down his chest, thinking for a second before nodding. "Alright." She breathed. "I love you."

He smirked and pushed her gently off his lap, standing and pulling her by the wrist down the hall, towards his parent's bedroom, where he started going through his mother's jewelry box until he pulled out an enormous diamond ring and took her hand, sliding it into her finger while he held her eyes. "I love you too." He whispered before using his grip on her hand to pull her swiftly into his arms, making her smirk as lifted her, kissing her while he carried her over to the bed and lay her down, climbing over her. He pressed something cold against her elbow and she glanced down to see it was a needle, making her smirk up at him and he held her eyes as he slid it into her skin, making her moan deeply and close her eyes as the drug filled her veins.

He kissed along her collar and down her body, making her shiver before his phone rang and he sighed, but didn't roll off her, just answered it. "Yeah?" He said into the phone. "Oh, Mrs. Del Rey," He said, smirking down at her while his free hand slid down her body slowly to rub the inside of her thigh teasingly, making her bite her lip to keep from moaning so her mother wouldn't hear. "Yeah, she's here." He went on listening to her mother while he kissed her collarbone. "No, I'm keeping her out of trouble, don't worry." He smirked at her and she rolled her eyes at him as he started to slide her panties off.

"Alright. I'll try and get her to come. See you later then." He said before hanging up and laughing at her, laying there, biting her lip so hard it was bleeding.

"Holy fuck, are you trying to get me killed?" She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing his lips while he undid her bra. "What did she want? Usually, she's more than happy to have me out of the way."

"Your sister's having a birthday-slash-wedding celebration and your mother wants you to make an appearance. She said to make sure you show up sober." He said, raising his eyebrows at her as he slipped out of his jeans, but, before they could get started, she put a hand on his chest, stopping him.

"Wait." She breathed. "Did you say wedding?" Oh god, that hurt like hell. Frankie had gotten married and left her out of it. No one had told her or invited her. "When did this happen?" She whispered and he just shrugged.

"Babe, can we talk about this later?" He asked and Ryan just sighed.

"I'm not going." She whispered and he just shrugged and grabbed her hips.

"That's fine, but you can't spend the night tonight, I have some shit to deal with." He whispered and she just nodded as he started to kiss her shoulder and Ryan wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned softly.

Mark stayed out on the balcony for a long time, smoking before coming back into the room, seeing Benji sitting on the couch, Winni missing. "Where's Win?" He asked, sitting next to him and offering him a cigarette, lighting himself another.

"She's getting ready." He shrugged and Mark knit his brows and glanced at the bedroom door. He could hear the shower running.

"For what?" He said, looking at his cousin.

Benji didn't look directly at him and that's how he knew, whatever it was, it was about Frankie, which only made him want to know more. "The family's getting together and she's my date." He shrugged.

Mark rolled his eyes. "What are you rich bastards all getting together for?" He asked, leaning back and inhaling from his cigarette.

"Uh... Frankie's birthday." He said and Mark knew there was more just by the way he said it, so he stayed quiet. "And... Marriage celebration."

That made him stop in bringing his cigarette to his lips and look at him. "She married him?" He whispered and Benji just nodded, looking apologetic before Winni came out of the bedroom looking stunning and Benji stood, leading her to the door, pausing at it and turning to look at him.

"Sorry Mark." He said, looking genuinely upset. "You're an asshole, but I like you way better than Max." He shrugged and then slipped out the door, leaving Mark there alone, shocked.

His phone rang and he glanced at it. Sadie. For the hundredth time since he'd left her. He sighed and hung up before getting things together to get a needle ready to shoot up with, not wanting to be sober with what he'd just learned.

Frankie was still in shock. Max’s family was there and Max and her mother had made up some fake story the Frankie had been away trying to find herself. It was bullshit excuse, one that Frankie couldn’t believe they’d actually bought, but they did and so to everyone but Max, her mother, and Ryan, Frankie had just been away taking sometime for herself.

“Frankie sweetheart, are you feeling okay.” Max’s mother asked sitting across from Frankie and Max casually placed a hand on her knee squeezing it tightly, causing her to fight the urge to wince. Max and her mother were forcing her to lie to everyone around her and she hated it.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” She finally said giving his mother a soft smile and she raised a brow like she didn’t believe her, because you could just tell, even with all the make-up, that she wasn’t herself. Mrs. Vanderbilt opened her mouth like she was going to ask if Frankie was sure, but Max quickly cut her off.

“Mother, she said she was fine, leave it that.” He spat harshly and she just sighed. All the Vanderbilt boys were the same, all of them except for Jimmy, he was the only decently normal one.

Frankie sat there for a long time, while others showed up. Mindlessly speaking when spoken to and nodding when it was appropriate, avoiding certain things when Max squeezed her knee, to let her know to avoid it or just shut up. Until eventually she felt sick and had to go to the bathroom, but Max refused to let her go alone and Jimmy escorted her. The second she got into the stall she started puking, before finally standing up and washing up. Jimmy peeked his head in and knitted his brows worried.

“Francesca are you alright?” he asked and she rolled her eyes. “I’m sorry about my brother by the way.” He sighed and Frankie just shrugged.

“Yeah, me too.” She sighed. “Jimmy, can I use your phone?” she smirked. “Please it will only be a minuet and you can delete your call history. It’ll be like it never happened, Please.” She begged. Jimmy looked at her unsure, but eventually tossed her his phone.

“Make it quick, before he comes looking for us.” He said giving her a look before closing the door granting her privacy.

Frankie’s first priority was Ryan and so she called and sighed when it went to voicemail. “Ria, it’s me. I know your probably pissed at me, for not coming to see you, but it’s not me it’s mom and Max.” she tried to explain. “By the way, apparently I’m married now.” She shook her head, hating that. “I love you Ryan.” She said before hanging up.

She knew she shouldn’t have, but she couldn’t help it, she dialed Mark’s number next, blocking the number and making it private. The phone rang and rang and rang until finally he answered and she froze, because it had felt like forever since she’d heard his voice and she figured the only reason he answered was because he didn’t know the number.

“I still love you.” She whispered, choking back tears. “I just thought you should know.” She said simply before hanging up. She had to hold on to the counter for support, because just hearing his voice had stolen her breath.

Spencer was frustrated with the fact that once again he was going to be under his brother’s rules. A part of him though was grateful, because Chris could have very well just let the dealers deal with Jason and they’d have taken Ryan and done what they wanted to, eventually ending in her death. Because most drug dealers tended to kill collaterals, no matter how pretty they were or how useful they may be it didn’t matter.

Chris sat next to Spencer as he signed paper after paper, so that they could process him. The officer to the papers leaving Spencer and Chris alone, Spencer was agitated that much was obvious. He was anxious and he promised himself, to get Ryan and simply take her home and then he’d leave again. She deserved better than him, so he couldn’t stay.

“You know I did this for Ryan, not you.” Chris finally spoke, but Spencer had caught the way he’d said the words and the statement was only half true. Spencer couldn’t help but smirk.

“Yeah, I’m sure you did.” He said glancing to his brother. “I’m only doing this, because I want to rub it in her face that he boyfriend’s the one who practically sold her.” He raised a brow shrugging.

Ryan was utterly exhausted by the time Jason rolled off her. She closed her eyes, breathing hard, trying to catch her breath as Jace reached over her to the nightstand and grabbed a couple joints, lighting himself one and taking a hit before lighting the second one and placing it between her lips. She took a deep breath before taking a hit off the joint and pulling it away from her lips, letting out a breath of smoke as she raised her hand above her and inspected the ring he'd put on her finger. "Will she miss it?" She whispered, bringing it closer and inspecting the diamond.

"What?" He asked, rolling on his side to face her.

"The ring," she smirked. "Will your mother miss her ring?" She asked as she rolled over on his chest and rested her head against him, taking another hit off her joint.

"No, it's not hers, it's her mother's." He said as he rubbed her spine, making her moan softly and close her eyes. "My grandmother died a long time ago an left it to her. She told me several years ago that, when I find the girl I want to marry, that's the ring I put on her finger."

Ryan listened as he spoke before it fell silent and they just smoked. She tried not to think about Spencer, or the fact that the thought of never seeing him again made her heart twist, but it was hard and she wasn't very successful but, after several joints, she was finally tired enough to drift to sleep, laying there on his chest.

She wasn't sure how long she slept, but, she woke to him pushing her off him, frantically standing and pulling his jeans on. "Shit, shit, shit." He was muttered, searching for a shirt and yanking it over his head and Ryan watched him tiredly from the bed as he dug through his mother's jewelry, pulling out pieces and setting them aside.

"Babe?" She whispered, sitting up on her elbows as she watched him and he turned to look at her, as if just realizing she was awake. He smirked and came over to her, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling her forward with a hand on the back of her head, kissing her forehead and then her lips. "You know how I said you can't spend the night?" He asked, holding her eyes and she just nodded. "It's because I've got to pay some guys, for the drugs they dropped off earlier."

Ryan raised her eyebrows. "So pay them." She shrugged.

"I've kind of blown through the money my parents left me, so I'm going to have to hope they'll take my mom's diamonds instead." He glanced at the clock. "You were supposed to leave earlier, but we fell asleep and now it's too late." He shrugged and kissed her again. "They'll be here soon. Lock the door behind me and stay in here until I come get you." Ryan sighed and nodded, kissing him one more time and reaching over the bed to pull one of his shirts on, watching him walk to the door. She followed him over and he opened it before turning to face her, pulling her body against his and kissing her again, making her smirk against his lips and stand on her toes to kiss him harder. "I love you baby. I'll be right downstairs." He whispered and she nodded, telling him she loved him too before he turned as left her alone.

Ryan sighed and did what he said, locking the door before going over to the bed and climbing back in, pulling the blankets up over herself and lighting another joint as she waited in the dark for him to come back.

Mark shot up and then drank, and then shot up again for a while. He wasn't totally sure how long it had been, or how much he'd taken, but he didn't care. The news that Frankie was married was enough to make him want to O.D.

At one point, his phone rang and he picked it up. "Hello?" He said, and it was silent for a second, so he contemplated hanging up.

“I still love you.” A voice whispered that was so familiar to him, he knew it instantly. Frankie. “I just thought you should know.” She said and he wanted to ask where she was, but then she hung up, and his heart was racing. She still loved him? But she'd left him. And gotten married.

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair before standing and calling Benji. "Benj," he said as soon as he answered. "See if you can get Frankie alone sometime tonight. Tell her I still love her too." He sighed. "Tell her she's all I think about."

Frankie felt like she was going to faint just as the bathroom door opened and she jumped, afraid it would be Max, but she let out a relived breath when it was Jimmy and she tossed his phone back to him quickly.

“Incoming.” He whispered as he tucked his phone away and a second later Max was pushing past Jimmy. He turned to his brother giving him a look and Jimmy rolled his eyes shutting the door, leaving her alone with Max and she was suddenly terrified, like he knew what she’d just done.

He closed the distance between them, too quickly for Frankie too move as he pressed shoved her against the wall harshly, but before she could catch her breath, he pinned her against the wall and wrapped an arm around her neck. He wasted no time to cut off her oxygen, until her eyes started water, because she couldn’t breathe. She tried begging but it was no use. He lend in so his face was inches from hers.

“Start acting like less of a victim and more of my wife.” He spat. “You did this to yourself Frankie. Everyone out there is asking what the fuck is wrong with you. Maybe I should just tell them all the truth.” He hissed. “Tell them how much of a little whore you really are.” He smirked wickedly. “Then I’ll look like the saint for taking your sorry ass back.” he said finally realizing her and she collapsed to her knees and the air came back so quickly to her raw throat she coughed violently.

“Max’s, I’m sorry.” She said as tears cut down her cheeks like razors. “I love you.” She lied, but it sounded desperate and so she knew he’d believe it. “I just haven’t been myself, you have to give me time.” He whispered.

He turned back to face her and there was a triumphant smirk on his face, like he knew he’d finally won her back, when in fact she was only giving him what she wanted because she was just too weak to fight him.

“That’s right, you do love me.” He said kneeling down. “But, I don’t love you. You want to know the real reason I’m marrying you babe?” he whispered hatefully grabbing her jaw roughly, so rough she knew it would leave bruises and forcing her to look at him. “Because your mother spent all your step-fathers money
poured it all into her dance studio.” He smirked. “She came to me in secret, she agreed you’d be mine and I agreed to pay off your families debt.” He shrugged. “I. Own. You.” He said moving close. “You’re a barging chip, that’s it. No one loves you Franny. No one.” He said holding her eyes and everything he’d just said killed her and she suddenly regretted calling Mark. Her vision was blurred tears as he stood. “Suck it up princess and clean yourself up, paint on that beautiful fake smile of yours and come to dinner.” He said before leaving her alone.

She was sick to her stomach. Max had never loved her, despite the fact that she’d actually loved him at one point. Her mother had sold her off, because she’d dug herself a whole and didn’t want her step-father to leave her. Which only made Max’s statement stick even more, that no one loved her. Her mother sold her off, her father never came around and if he did love her it hadn’t been enough to fight for custody of her, Ryan only loved her because she had to, Benji wouldn’t even talk to her, and Mark hated her for leaving. She had nothing left.

By the time they got out of the jail, it was late. Outside was a black SUV and Spencer raised a brow as he glanced to Chris who had a smug look on his face when they reached the car. Chris grabbed the door, but he didn’t open it. He paused as he glanced to Spencer.

“That kid doesn’t know who the fuck he’s messing with does he?” Spencer smirked dangerously as his brother said that, before he tossed him a bag of coke. “Ryan belongs with us, in our world.” Chris continued and as he spoke Spencer couldn’t help but mentally agree. “She’s the girlfriend of a drug dealer, not a rich boy. Fuck him up Spence.” Chris laughed as he opened the door and Spencer hopped in the back seat along with two enormous men, who he recognized as Chris’s guys.

As they drove to Jason’s house, Spencer, did more coke then he’d done in a long time and he’d drank a half a bottle of whisky to calm his nerves, because it wasn’t Jason he was worried about seeing it was Ryan, because he knew her well enough to know she was going to hate him for leaving and that had been the only thing keeping him from going back to her this entire time.

They got to the house and Chris stayed in the car while the two men got out alongside Spencer as if they were his body guards, not that he needed them. He knocked on the door and Spencer smirked at the shocked look on Jason’s face.

“You’ve got something of mine.” He smirked “And, I want it back.” Spencer didn’t wait for Jason to speak, he punched him as hard as he could and the crack was so loud Spencer could almost guarantee, he’d broken his jaw.

Jason tried fighting back, but it was no use, the two guys had held him and Spencer beat the shit out of him, before the two guys dropped him on the floor and he groaned miserably as he fell to his hands and knees, his face already swollen and bloody.

“You not very smart are you kid?” Spencer smirked, glancing to Jason with his dark eyes. “Where is she?” he said darkly, before kicking him hard in the ribs, when he didn’t answer quick enough. “Where the fuck is she!” he yelled.

“She doesn’t want you.” Jason whispered, before coughing up blood. “She doesn’t love you.” He continued and that only pissed Spencer off.

“Find her.” He ordered the other men. “Take her to the car and don’t tell her anything, stage it like a kidnapping.” He said simply, the guys nodded before taking off to search the house for her. He knelt down beside Jason, grabbing a hold of his hair and forcing Jason to look him the eyes. “Don’t come after her, cause I’ll kill you.” He hissed before heading out to the car.

Once he was back in the car with Chris, he handed him the diamonds he’d taken from him. Chris handed him a mask and Spencer raised a brow. “She won’t fight you if she can’t see you face, until we get back to my place, she’ll just think she’d been kidnapped.” Chris smirked as he placed on over his face and Spencer followed suite, placing black gloves on over his hands and covering every inch of his skin. “Don’t talk.” Chris said simply.

As she waited, Ryan glanced over at her phone on the nightstand to see it was blinking. She sighed and reached over to pick it up, seeing she had a voicemail. She stood and went to the window, bringing the phone to her ear, listening to her sister's voice as she leaned in the windowsill on her forearms and smoked. The message made her close her eyes and sigh before throwing her phone out the window, not wanting to hear her sister talk anymore.

A loud banging made her jump suddenly, and turn around. The door was still closed, but the banging was getting louder and closer, sounding like someone was slamming open doors, and she was starting to get worried. Where was Jace? Suddenly, the door flew open and two guys she'd never seen before came into the room. She tried to dodge, but she was back, against the wall, so there wasn't anywhere she could really go unless she wanted to leap out the window behind her, but she was on the second floor, so there was no way that was happening.

They grabbed each of her arms and she struggled frantically to get away, heart racing, but one of them slapped her and it hurt so bad she stopped struggling and let them drag her through the house.

At the entry, Ryan saw Jason on the floor, bloody and beaten and had to close her eyes and look away, praying he wasn't dead. They dragged her outside and it was cold, seeing as she was still only wearing Jason's t-shirt, but she ignored it as they shoved her into the back of the car with two other people. "What the fuck is this?" She breathed, shaking her head. "Did you kill him?" She asked, voice shaking even as she said it, not sure she wanted to know the answer to that question.

"Man, look, I'm sorry, but I don't think so." Benji said and Mark sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, frustrated.

"Where are you?" He asked angrily.

"What are you going to do? March your ass over here and just demand they let you in? Mark, you're fucking nuts. It's too hard to get her alone, Max has her chained to his hip and the family isn't too fond of interruptions. If I could even begin to explain the number of death glares I got when I excused myself to answer my phone, you'd understand." Mark shook his head and sighed.

"Where is she now?"

"The bathroom I think."

"So get your ass in there. She needs to know I love her and I'm in New York again, okay?" He sighed before rolling his eyes. "You know what? Forget it." He spat, hanging up, dialing Winni's number instead.

She answered after a few rings. "Mark, what the fuck? Do you know what kind of an ass I look like when my phone rings in the middle of dinner?"

"Go to the bathroom." He spat.

"God I fucking hate you." He heard her breathe, but he heard her footsteps and then heard her politely excusing herself and then more clacking of heels. "Alright I'm in the bathroom, what's the emergency?"

"Give the phone to Frankie." He ordered and heard her sigh before he heard her talking softly to Frankie, telling her she had a call and Mark waited for a minute, letting it stay silent for a second before speaking. "Franks." He whispered. "I love you too and I'm in New York." He breathed into the phone, only hoping she was listening. "I need you baby, I miss you." He let it hang silent for another second before sighing. "Can you get away? Can you meet me somewhere?" He asked, already knowing it was impossible. Her husband would kill her. "That beach." He said. "Where we went the first night together. Can you meet me there? I need to talk to you."

It didn’t matter that she was at a prestigious country club, will some of the most well-known families in New York City and it didn’t matter that she was supposed to be a happy celebrating her wedding. None of that matter because none of it was real it was all a fucking illusion and if it hadn’t been for Mark, she’d be happy, it’d still be an illusion, but it least back before she’d met Mark she could lie to herself and everyone else around her. The bathroom door opened, but she didn’t look up, she was too scared it’d be Max again.

“Frankie.” The voice was soft causing her to look up and see a girl she vaguely remembered, Frankie watched as her eyes danced over her for a second before finally locking eyes with her. “The phones for you.” She said, but Frankie didn’t have the strength to grab it and hold it to her ear and when she didn’t take it, Winni put it to her ear gently as if she was scared to touch Frankie, because she might just disintegrate.

"Franks." she let out a shuttering breath when he whispered her name and she wanted to tell Winni to take the phone away, but she couldn’t "I love you too and I'm in New York." he breathed and she was trying to hold herself together "I need you baby, I miss you." there was silence for a long moment, before he spoke again. "Can you get away? Can you meet me somewhere? That beach." she closed her eyes, if she ran again Max would literally kill her "Where we went the first night together. Can you meet me there? I need to talk to you."

It was silent for a long time and she thought about just not answering at all, because this was honestly her last chance. Then Max’s words were on repeat in her mind and she wasn’t sure if Mark really loved her, how could he after what she’d done to him. She was frozen. She knew what she wanted to say. She wanted to say yes, she’d meet him, but she couldn’t get the words to come out. Instead of answering him, she hung up and handed the phone back to Winni, she held Winni’s eyes and opened her mouth to speak, but the door opened again only this time it was Benji.

“Frankie, baby, what the hell happened to you.” Benji whispered, finally seeing her for the first time. “I’m gonna kill him.” Ben hissed clenching his fists and that only pissed Frankie off, she walked up to him slapping him in the face, completely shocking both him and Winni.

“Don’t bother.” Frankie spat. “You weren’t there when I needed you.” She whispered “That’s what happened.” She could see him visibly wince. “So you’re going to make up for it now.” Benji knit his brows. “I’m leaving and you’re going to cover for me.” She smirked, walking past him, but Benji grabbed her arm.

“Frankie, he’s not going to believe anything I tell him, he’ll kill you.” He said, but Frankie only ripped her arm away and stuck her hand into his pocket pulling out his keys.

“I’ll take my chances then.” She said holding his eyes. “Cover for me or don’t, I really don’t give a shit anymore.” She said honestly before slipping out of the bathroom and heading out to Beni’s car.

She knew that it was near impossible for her and Mark to be together again, but she hated that they’d left things on really bad terms and even if it was the last time she saw him, she could at least tell him she loved him. Because she couldn’t run from her problems, not again.

Waiting to see her again was completely nerve wracking. He’d convinced himself for the past month or so that there was no way he was ever seeing her again and he’d started to believe himself, Now though, he wanted to get out of the car and run, because that’s all he knew how to do and that’s what he was best at.

The door opened and the two men, lifted her into the car and seeing her again after so long was like seeing her for the first time again, it made his heart race and all he wanted to do was pull her in and kiss her. That’s exactly how he knew he was in love with her, because every time with her felt like the first time and he’d never missed anyone as much as he’d just realized he missed her.

"What the fuck is this?" She breathed, but neither him nor Chris answered her. "Did you kill him?" He rolled his eyes, but from behind the mask she couldn’t see that, if she could, she’d know it was him right away.

His eyes caught a large diamond ring on her ring finger and that completely killed him, if he wanted to run before, now he wanted to take two planes and a boat just to get away. Not only was she back with Jason, but now by the looks of it she was engaged to him. It was like a slap in the face and he honestly would have rather heard her scream that she hated him. He hadn’t exactly been expecting her to sit around and wait for him to come back, but getting married wasn’t exactly what he’d expect either especially from Ryan.

He stayed silent the entire rid back to Chris’s new house, despite Ryan’s constant demanding question, he wanted to ask her why and scream at her, but Chris had told him to keep his mouth shut and now that she was back with Jason and seeing that ring on her finger, he wasn’t sure he wanted her to even know it was him, because what the hell would that change, it was pretty obvious, by the diamond on her finger that she hadn’t missed him too much.

Once they got to the house, Spencer and Chris got out first, while Chris’s guys brought in Ryan and took her up to a room, locking her inside so she couldn’t escape. Chris looked him over as he took off his mask and there was obviously something wrong, you could see it written all over him.

“Spence, this is your last chance.” Chris sighed. “It’s a piece of jewelry, it doesn’t mean shit, trust me.” He said like he could read Spencer’s mind, but before Spencer could tell him to fuck off like he wanted to Chris left the room, leaving Spencer torn.

Spencer knew that if he left, Chris wouldn’t touch Ryan he’d let her go and tell her what Jason had done. So, he was honestly debating whether or not to leave. Because he’d saved her for some lowlife dealer who was going to kill her, but did she honestly need him. But, then there was the other part of him that already knew he couldn’t live without her and if he left again, he’d end up in prison or dead. Eventually he’d decided he wanted to at least see her before he left.

He headed up stairs, excusing both the guys, before opening the door to the room. He smirked seeing her siting on the bed. Before she had a chance to do anything, he moved quickly, grabbing her wrist pulling her to his chest and wrapping and arm around her waist so she couldn’t move, before pressing his lips to hers and kissing her. His whole body was on fire for the first time since he’d left her and all of his senses were hyper active. He kept his hand on the back of her neck so she couldn’t pull away, Eventually though he pulled away, resting his forehead against hers and holding her eyes.

“Tell me you don’t love me and I’ll leave.” He whispered.

Ryan continued to ask questions, demanding to know what had happened, but nobody would answer her so eventually she just sighed and leaned back against her seat, crossing her arms over her chest and waiting, trying to swallow her fear and panic. With any luck, they'd at least drug her before they did anything to her so she'd be out of it.

Eventually, they pulled into a driveway to a house and the guys pulled her out of the car and dragged her inside, through the house to a room where they pushed her inside and closed the door. Ryan stood quickly and ran to the door, checking the knob to see if it was unlocked before sighing as sliding to the floor, heart pounding.

After a while of sitting there, she stood and went to the bed, sitting on it's edge and pulling a pack of cigarettes from her hip, where she kept them in the waistline of her panties. She lit one and sighed, taking a long drag off it, closing her eyes before blowing out a breath of smoke, hands shaking as she raised it to her lips again. After a while of smoking, she heard the door open behind her and put her cigarette out on the nightstand, turning to see who it was, freezing when she saw Spencer standing there.

Fuck. Now she was even more freaked out then she was when she'd thought some random stranger had taken her. She didn't want to see Spencer again. She'd just been starting to get used to the loneliness and anger he'd left behind when her left her. She hadn't gotten rid of it. She'd never get rid of it. But she'd started to adapt to it.

And now there he was and it hurt so bad to see him again, she'd rather it be Jason's dealer. Ryan was frozen with shock so she didn't get the chance to run away from him when he moved quickly towards her and grabbed her wrist; pulling her swiftly against his chest and wrapping an arm around her waist. He pressed his lips against hers and, like flipping a switch, he unfroze her and she tried to get away from him, not wanting to feel the way his lips always made her feel, because she couldn't have him. He'd only leave her and hurt her again. But he placed a hand on the back of her neck, holding her firmly in place until, eventually, Ri gave in and kissed him back, because she couldn't help it. It's be a lie to say she'd missed him.

The kiss made her dizzy, but he pulled away from her and she stood there as he pressed his forehead against hers, trying to compose herself and get her fight back. She'd spent the last three months hating him with every bone in her body. There was no way in hell she was letting him crumble that with one kiss. “Tell me you don’t love me and I’ll leave.” He whispered and Ryan held his eyes for a long moment. She could say she loved him and they'd probably go back to being together, and she'd go back to being terrified that he'd leave her again. Or she could lie and tell him she didn't love him and save herself the heartache by beating him to the punch and letting him walk away before she let herself fall for him all over again.

But she couldn't make the words come out. No matter how angry she was, she'd always love him. She couldn't say she didn't. "Fuck you." She spat instead and shoved him off her, taking a few steps back, putting distance between them incase he was fucked up and tried to hurt her. "You left me and you'll do it again." She hissed bitterly, glaring at him. "I don't trust you and nothing you can say or do will change that."

It was silent for a long time and he hoped like hell she'd speak and that she'd agree to meet him. Hopefully she didn't hate him. He just wanted to see her. He couldn't stand the thought of her being married to that asshole and he needed to see her. He missed her too much. He couldn't get her out of his head.

After a long silence, the line disconnected and he sighed and groaned, leaning his head against the back of the couch and looking up at the ceiling for a minute before standing and grabbing his keys. He moved quickly, getting in his car and starting it up, heading for the beach. He wasn't sure if she'd come or not. He highly doubted it actually, but if she did, he didn't want to miss her.

It took him a while, but eventually he got there and parked the car. She wasn't there, but he walked out to the sand and sat down. He'd wait all night if he had to, and if she didn't come, he'd call her and ask her to meet him again and stay there another night. He had to see her. That was the only thought on his mind as he sat there and watched the black waves.

Frankie was stupid for leaving, she was going to get the shit beat out of her, hell she’d be lucky if he didn’t literally murder her. Max wasn’t going to let her go, even if he didn’t love her, that didn’t matter, because she was a possession to him and she looked good on his arm. That alone was enough to keep him from letting her go.

She wasn’t driving to see Mark and get back with him, she was driving to finally end things. To tell him that they had to stop seeing each other, no matter how bad it killed them. She was going to have to pretend to be happy with Max, because In their world they didn’t marry for love and Mark was going to have to move on, because in his world he could do whatever he wanted.

It had taken her quite some time, but she finally got there and when she did, his car was there. Her stomach twisted, because it was going to break her heart to have to do what she was about to do, she was glad though it was dark and he wouldn’t be able to see how sick she was.

She cut the engine and somehow she already knew he’d be down at the beach waiting for her, so she got out of Benji’s car and heading down to the beach. It was dark and she paused on the path able to make out his silhouette sitting in the sand, near the shoreline. She debated on turning around and walking away and he’d never even know she was there. But, she didn’t, because she at least wanted to see him and leave him on a better not this time. So she continued until she finally got to where he was and she silently sat down next to him, suddenly glad the moon wasn’t bright enough for him to see her.

She kept her eyes on the black waves as they hit the shore, before they were pulled back in and oddly enough for long time it was silent between them and she’d convinced herself it was because neither of them were sure what to say. A lot had happened and they hadn’t exactly liked each other the last time they’d seen each other.

“I’m pretty sure it was yours.” she finally whispered, referring to the baby. “But, Max made me get rid of him.” She said fighting back tears. “You should have come after me that night Mark.” Her voice trembled. She was having a hard time keeping it together. “And I shouldn’t have walked away.” She sighed. “But, you know
” she trailed off, not wanting to finish. “We can’t be together.” She whispered so quietly, she wasn’t sure he’d heard her over the waves.

He felt her body tense and he knew then she was going to fight him and she had every right to, he was just scared if she pushed him to far he’d walk away again and this time, he’d do something purposely to get himself killed because he needed her and if she didn’t want him, he’d be fucked and he wasn’t sure he could hear her say she didn’t want to be with him.

"Fuck you." She spat and he rolled his eyes as she shoved him away but he barely moved, he kept his eyes on her as she created distance, like she was scared he’d hurt her. “You left me and you'll do it again." She continued and he just listened keeping his eyes on her. "I don't trust you and nothing you can say or do will change that."

He took a step forward, but he continued to keep their distance, he wasn’t sure why the hell he was trying to get her back. The ring on her finger was enough proof for him, that she didn’t need him the way he need her. He glanced down to the ring on her finger, before glancing back to her and locking eyes with her.

“I’m not asking you to trust me.” He spat, irritated. “I’m asking you if you fucking love me!” He yelled and the pain was clear in his voice. “You know what, never mind.” He said dropping his gaze and shaking his head. “It doesn’t matter right? Because your marrying that ass hole who doesn’t give a shit about you.” He said glancing back up to her and there was so much pain and hurt in his eyes, he knew she’d be able to see it but he didn’t care at this point. “Because your marrying him whether you love me or not.” He said honestly.

He felt so stupid for falling in love with her, because he knew it would in this way. He’d tried to pretend it wouldn’t, he’d tried to convince himself that he’d be the one to break her heart and she was just another girl. But, she was the one breaking his heart, she was killing him with a simple piece of jewelry. He had to swallow his pride and let her go, because she wasn’t coming back to him.

“Congratulations, you’re just like your sister.” He spat harshly. “I told you then it wasn’t over, you should have known I’d come back, I told you I’d always come back to you.” He whispered.

Ryan watched as he took a step towards her and his eyes landed on her ring before coming back to hers making her wince and look away at the pain she saw there. “I’m not asking you to trust me.” He spat. “I’m asking you if you fucking love me!” He yelled Ryan hated the way his voice sounded. “You know what, never mind.” He said and she glanced at him. “It doesn’t matter right? Because you're marrying that ass hole who doesn’t give a shit about you.” He said and his eyes met hers again, but she wasn't able to hold them because it killed her to see how much she'd hurt him, even if she was angry. “Because you're marrying him whether you love me or not.” He said and Ri winced and took another step back, so she was leaning back against the wall, keeping her eyes off him.

“Congratulations, you’re just like your sister.” He spat harshly and that stung. “I told you then it wasn’t over, you should have known I’d come back, I told you I’d always come back to you.” He whispered and Ryan looked up at him finally, running her fingers through her hair, frustrated.

"How fucking long did you expect me to wait?!" She practically screamed at him. "I can't wait forever Spence. It's been three months. I didn't think I'd ever see you again." She shook her head and looked away, fighting back tears. "How am I supposed to believe you come back for me when you break your promises all the time?" She whispered, voice weak. "You said you wouldn't leave and you did. You say all the time that you're not going to cheat again and you do." She sighed, biting her lip. "I said yes to Jace because he's not going to leave me and, even if he does, it won't kill me."

Mark waited a while, sitting there, afraid she wouldn't come before he heard the sound on an engine and sighed with relief. He didn't turn around as he waited for her to come out because he knew it was her. It had to be. Eventually, she say next to him in the sand and Mark almost couldn't bring himself to look at her, knowing, somehow, she wouldn't stay. So instead, he watched the waves and they sat in silence for a while because, even though he'd wanted to see her so badly, now that she was there he wasn't sure what to say.

“I’m pretty sure it was yours.” Frankie finally whispered and that was when he glanced at her. “But, Max made me get rid of him.” Mark could tell that hurt her, just by the way she said it and it made him wince. “You should have come after me that night Mark.” She said, voice trembling and that made him sigh because she was right. He'd been kicking himself for not going after her everyday since she'd left. “And I shouldn’t have walked away. But, you know
” She trailed off and he had a bad feeling he knew where that was heading. “We can’t be together.” She whispered quietly.

It was silent for a minute before he sighed and turned towards her, reaching out and placing a hand on the back of her neck, pulling her lips against his and kissing her deeply, wanting her to know just how much he'd missed her. "I love you." He whispered against her lips before finally releasing her. "And I know you love me. You don't love that asshole." He shook his head. "I made a mistake. You're right, I should have gone after you." He sighed and shrugged. "But I didn't and, as much as I wish I could change that, I can't." Mark turned and looked at her. "I treated you like shit and took you for granted." He said, holding her eyes. "I don't deserve you or your forgiveness, but I'm sorry. For everything."

It was quite for a moment after she spoke, before he finally reached out placing a hand on the back of her neck and pressing his lips to hers. She tried to convince herself she didn’t love him, but it was no use and she ended up kissing him back, despite herself.

"I love you." he whispered against her lips causing her to shiver, before he finally released her. "And I know you love me. You don't love that asshole. I made a mistake. You're right, I should have gone after you." she had to look away from him, because she could feel herself wanting to give in and she just couldn’t not this time. "But I didn't and, as much as I wish I could change that, I can't. I treated you like shit and took you for granted." she couldn’t fight them anymore and she finally let her tears fall "I don't deserve you or your forgiveness, but I'm sorry. For everything."

She hated that he thought it was all his fault. Because it wasn’t, she blamed herself more than blamed him. There were a million things she could have done, starting by not sleeping with his friend or keeping the fact that she was pregnant from him. She loved him more then she’d ever loved anyone, but everything about them was complicated, because now she wasn’t just engaged she was married and if Max hadn’t told her what he’d told her about their family being in debt, she probably would have had no problem leaving Max for Mark again. But, now she felt obligated to stay with him, to keep her family out of debt.

“Your right, I do love you.” She sighed. “We knew what we were getting ourselves into.” She said finally looking to him. “I knew you’d break my heart and you knew you’d never really have me.” She whispered. “I can’t keep running from my life.” She said turning her eyes back to the ocean. “Everything’s changed. But, for what it’s worth, I didn’t want to marry him. I’ll always love you Marky.” She smiled as she lend over and kissed his cheek, gently and it made her stomach twist because she was telling him goodbye.

She stood up then and started back towards her car because if she stayed any longer, she wasn’t sure she’d be able to go back to the party and pretend like nothing had happened. The longer she avoided Max and her stupid dinner party, the worse it would be on her. There was a small part of that hoped he wouldn’t let her walk away again, that he’d stop her and he’d make her stay. But, she had a feeling he’d let her go, because he’d never been the type to make her do something that she didn’t want to.

"How fucking long did you expect me to wait?!" She screamed and he rolled his eyes. "I can't wait forever Spence. It's been three months. I didn't think I'd ever see you again." he hated that he’d hurt her and he could tell he had, just by her voice. "How am I supposed to believe you come back for me when you break your promises all the time?" She whispered and he kept his eyes on her "You said you wouldn't leave and you did. You say all the time that you're not going to cheat again and you do." he winced, because he knew what she was saying was true. "I said yes to Jace because he's not going to leave me and, even if he does, it won't kill me."

He let silence fall between them for a long time. He wasn’t losing her, he’d already lost her and it was all his fault. He’d lost the only good thing he’d ever had, not that he was all that surprised, because no one ever stuck around and when they did he used them and then hurt them and it had been no different with Ryan. He could beg her to stay and he could apologize all he wanted but what would that do. She might forgive him, they might get back together, and things would be good again, until he got scared and started fucking up again.

“You shouldn’t believe me.” He finally said. “Because no matter what I say, it’s a lie. It’s always going to be a lie.” He said honestly, glancing to her. “Except when I tell you I love you, that’s has never been a lie and it never will be.” He said holding her eyes for a moment, before having to look away. “I didn’t kill him.” He said calmly, referring to her question about Jason in the car. “I’ll have Chris take you back.” he said looking back to her.

He wanted to sell out Jason and tell Ryan why she was really there. He wanted to tell her that he’d actually saved her and the Jason had used her as collateral for his drugs, and he’d have probably one her back that way. He’d have talked himself up and thrown Jason under the bus, but what for so he could hurt her. It looked like she already had Jason too that for her. So for the first time in his life, he let it go, he didn’t use his charm or his silver tongue, he just kept his mouth shut. He crossed the room and pressed his lip to her forehead, before turning around and making his way towards the door.

“I’m sorry.” He whispered as he hesitated to open the door. "Not for what happened between us. But, because he won."

It was silent for a long time because Ri was afraid to speak and she wasn't so sure she wanted to hear him speak either. She was afraid he'd keep trying to get her back and she was afraid he wouldn't. She knew if she went back to him, she'd get hurt again. She could try and survive without him. She'd never feel the things he made her feel again, but she'd also never be hurt the way he could hurt her again. But still, a small part of her wanted him to fight for her. Because she loved him, not Jason. She didn't want to marry Jace, not now that she knew he was back and still loved her, but if he was willing to walk away, then she was too.

“You shouldn’t believe me.” He finally said, breaking the silence. “Because no matter what I say, it’s a lie. It’s always going to be a lie.” He said and she bit her lip and looked away. “Except when I tell you I love you, that’s has never been a lie and it never will be.” He said and she looked at him again, holding his eyes for a minute, wishing they could just go back to their first few weeks away together. When they'd been impossibly good together.

“I didn’t kill him.” He said and it took her a second to realize he was talking about Jason. “I’ll have Chris take you back.” He said and Ri sighed and nodded, keeping her eyes off him, afraid if she looked at him, she'd cry. She could tell he was getting ready to walk out and she didn't want to watch him to it a second time. He walked across the room towards her, placing a kiss on her forehead, making it impossibly hard not to cry because it felt so final. Then he turned and headed for the door and Ryan turned her back to him, finally letting her tears fall now that he couldn't see.

“I’m sorry.” He whispered as from behind her and she closed her eyes and leaned her forehead against the wall. "Nbot for what happened between us. But, because he won."

"I'm sorry too." She whispered softly. "I just can't go through this again."

It was quiet for a little while and he let it stay that way. “You're right, I do love you.” She sighed and he hated the way her voice sounded. She was still going to walk away. “We knew what we were getting ourselves into. I knew you’d break my heart and you knew you’d never really have me.” She whispered, looking at him and he held her eyes, hating that she was right. “I can’t keep running from my life.” She went on and looked away, but he kept his eyes on her. “Everything’s changed. But, for what it’s worth, I didn’t want to marry him. I’ll always love you Marky.” She said and kissed his cheek before standing and walking away.

For a minute, he stayed where he was, letting her go, because that was what she wanted and, after all her done to her, he owed her that much. To let her have what she wanted. But he couldn't just sit there. Not again. He'd let her walk away once and he'd regretted it. If he let her walk away know, he might never get another chance. He loved her too much to just let her go forever. He needed her more than he'd ever needed anyone. He couldn't survive without her.

So, after a second of sitting there, Mark finally stood and ran after her, reaching her just as she was about to grab the handle of the cars door, grabbing her hand, stopping her. Mark spun her to face him and walked her back until she was back against the side if the car, placing a hand in her long blond hair and kissing her hard, desperately needing her to know how much she meant to him. He used his hold on her hair to tilt her head and kissed quickly down her jaw and neck before coming back to her lips.

"Don't go." He whispered against her lips, pressing his body tighter against hers. "Please, I need you Frankie." He begged. "I can't let you just walk away again knowing you love me and I love you."

By the time she’d reached the car she was convinced he wasn’t coming for her and that they were finally over. He was tired of fighting for her and she couldn’t leave her life behind. That was the way it was supposed to be right?

She felt him reach out and grab her wrist spinning her to face him as he backed her up against the car. Her heart raced and her breathing picked up. He wasn’t done fighting for her and that scared her, because Max wasn’t done fighting for her either and a part of her wasn’t going back to him, for the simple fact she was scared Max would really kill him, because the difference between Mark and Max was, Mark was dangerous; the kind of dangerous that you knew you shouldn’t get involved with, but you couldn’t help yourself. Max on the other hand was just completely insane, mixed with his money and power, he could easily get rid of Mark, no questions asked.

As soon as Mark’s lips came down on hers, she’d forgotten all of the worry and paranoia. All that matter was them in that moment. He held her in the kiss, like he was scared she’d pull away but she couldn’t, because she just couldn’t fight him. She could literally taste the desperation, the apologies, and how much he really needed her in that kiss and it made her moan against his lips despite herself and kissed him back just as desperately, as she melted into him.

"Don't go." he whispered, pressing his body tighter against hers and she couldn’t help but let herself cry in front of him. But the tears weren’t sad, she was overwhelmed.

After everything that had happened over the past three months without him. She’d convinced herself that no one really loved her. That she was alone, Mark had moved on and he didn’t need her. She’d never really had someone loved her as completely as she felt in just his kiss just a moment again and she’d never loved anyone as unconditionally as she loved him.

"Please, I need you Frankie." He begged and everything they’d been through came back to her like scenes from a movie and she was scared that if she gave into him again he’d only break her heart again, at least with Max, he couldn’t leave her. But, then she wasn’t sure she could live the rest of her life the way she’d been living for the past few months. "I can't let you just walk away again knowing you love me and I love you."

She squeezed her eyes shut, because she couldn’t look at him. She continued to let her tears fall. It was so easy for her to just give into him and leave again. The first time they’d done it no one had found them, they were good at disappearing, because all they really needed was each other. She just didn’t understand what it was that was holding her back from him, what was keeping her from saying yes, because she didn’t love Max and her mother had pretty much sold her off, like she was nothing more than a bargaining chip. Her and her step father had never really gotten along and her real father lived in a completely different country. So in all honesty she wasn’t sure what was keeping her from letting go completely.

“How can I trust you.” She finally breathed, forcing herself to hold his eyes. “When you realize you’re too scared to try and love me again, how do I know you’re not going to cheat on me again.” she questioned. “We don’t know how to do anything but destroy each other.” She said looking back to him. “We love each other too damn much and that’s what kills us.” Her voice was weak. “Sometimes love isn’t enough. It’s never mattered what I wanted, I can fight my mother and Max, but there always going to win. I know you don’t understand.” She said looking away. “I gave up everything for us, but look where we ended up.” she said taking a shuttering breath.

"I'm sorry too." she whispered and his whole body tensed "I just can't go through this again."

He had to leave the room then and he slipped out quickly. He had no one to blame but himself and that was the worst part. He was living with his own guilt. He headed down the stairs, quickly headed for the front door, because he was on the verge of crying for the first time in his life over a girl and he didn’t want to chance falling apart in front of his brother or worse in front of Ryan. He just couldn’t understand why it was so easy for him to let her go if he loved her so much, he just wanted her to be happy. He thought she was happy with him and it killed him that she wasn’t, he couldn’t give her what she needed and what she need was security.

Once he was outside the cold night air hit him, like a thousand needles pricking his skin and it brought him back to reality. What the hell was he doing? Why wasn’t he fighting for her? Spencer never let things go, yet he was just letting the girl he willingly admitted to being in love with walk out of his life for good. He wasn’t exactly the best boyfriend in the world, but he loved her, she wasn’t just a piece or arm candy or credit card to him. She was his everything, she made him a better person, and she knew him better than anyone else, even better than his own brother knew him. He headed back inside quickly running up the stairs and opening the door to her room.

“I can’t let you go.” He said closing the door. “Not again, not back to him.” He said holding her eyes. “You mean to damn much to me and I don’t care what I have to do or who I have to fight, I can’t live without you.” He said honestly, fighting back tears and desperately hoping she couldn’t see how torn up he actually was. “You’re here because of that Jack ass Rianne. He sold you out for his drugs and if it wasn’t for Chris and I, you’d be in the hands of some lowlife dealer.” He spat, but he wasn’t mad at her, he was pissed at Jason for putting her in that position. “You’d be dead.” He whispered painfully. “I couldn’t let that happen to you, I know you hate me for leaving you.” He said closing the distance between them.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her tightly to against his body, but not tight enough that she couldn’t get away if she wanted to. He wrapped an arm around her waist and fisted his other hand in her dark hair, pulling her lips to his and kissing her deeply, tilting her head and slipping his tongue past her lips, making sure she could feel his guilt and how sorry he was in the kiss.

“But, you were the only thing I thought about.” He whispered against her lips “And, I’d die for you in a heartbeat if that’s what it took to get you to realize how much I love you.” he continued as his lips moved along her jawline.

Ryan kept her back turned to him until she heard the door close behind her and sighed deeply, turning around and staring at the door for a long time, head reeling, overwhelmed with a thousand emotions at once. It felt like him leaving her all over again, after she'd just started to get over the pain of the last time, only this time, she'd pushed him away. And this time, she knew he wouldn't be coming back. After a while, she turned away from the door again and lit herself another cigarette, wishing more than anything that she wasn't sober, needing something to numb that pain of what had just happened.

She took a long drag off the cigarette, coughing when she did so, feeling like she couldn't breathe, before getting herself back under control and inhaling off it again, closing her eyes, waiting for Chris to come and take her back, not excited to hear him try and talk her into going back to Spencer the whole way back.

She was at the very end of her cigarette and seriously considering just taking off and heading back on her own when she heard the door behind her burst open and turned to see that Spencer was there again, making her heart twist. She wasn't sure she could take another round of arguing with him. It would kill her. “I can’t let you go.” He said and closed the door, making her look away from him. She'd thought her given up on her, but her come back. “Not again, not back to him.” He said and she glanced up at him, holding his eyes for a second. “You mean to damn much to me and I don’t care what I have to do or who I have to fight, I can’t live without you.” He went on and Ryan had to look away again because the pain and honesty in his eyes were too hard to look at.

“You’re here because of that jack-ass Rianne. He sold you out for his drugs and if it wasn’t for Chris and I, you’d be in the hands of some lowlife dealer.” He spat, and that made her look at him again, shocked. No. That had to be a lie. “You’d be dead.” He whispered and the thought that Jason would do that to her hurt so bad she had to turn away from him again, afraid she'd cry and the last thing she wanted to do was cry about Jason in front of him. Even though she didn't love him, she'd at least though her loved her and that was all she'd had left anymore. She'd been so alone the past three months, but Jason had been there for her and it hurt like hell to learn that he'd used her. “I couldn’t let that happen to you, I know you hate me for leaving you.” Spencer said behind her, bringing her from her thoughts and she felt the unmistakeable heat between them increase as he closed the distance between them, causing her to turn and face him.

She wanted to accuse him of lying to her. She wanted to defend Jason, swearing he'd never do that to her, but she could see the anger and honesty in his eyes, and she knew he wasn't lying this time just to get her to come back to him. He was telling the truth, and for once, she almost wished he wasn't. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her body against him tightly, but loose enough she could still get away if she wanted to, though she couldn't. She didn't have it in her to fight him off after what he'd just told her. So when he fisted his hand in her hair and kissed her, Ri kissed back, leaning into it, able to taste the guilt and apology on his lips, making her moan against them, because, while his words always confused her, making it impossible sometimes to know what was true, his kiss never lied. He was genuinely sorry and he needed her back.

“But, you were the only thing I thought about." He whispered against her lips, making her shiver in his arms. “And, I’d die for you in a heartbeat if that’s what it took to get you to realize how much I love you.” He went on, moving his lips along her jaw, making her moan and grip his shirt tightly in fists, pulling him tighter against her, having missed him way too much.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you either." She admitted, biting her lip, not sure she could push him away again. "I love you so much." She breathed. "I didn't think you'd come back, and it was killing me. I didn't know what to do." She explained. "I didn't even kiss him for a month, but it got hard." Ryan pulled her ring off and tossed it onto the nightstand. "I only said yes because I thought it'd make me stop loving you. It hurt too much to love you." Ryan kissed his lips hard, desperately wanting him to know she was sorry for not waiting, needing him to understand that she hadn't agreed to marry Jace because it would hurt him. "I didn't want to hurt you." She breathed against his lips before kissing along his jaw and down his neck. She wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't sure if she could go back to him so easily, and she knew one kiss wasn't enough to make her trust him again, but it didn't matter at the moment. It had been so long, she was just happy to have him and trust him while she could, in that moment.

In just that one kiss, he knew what she'd been feeling the past few months. Alone and unloved. And that killed him. He should have gone after her, or, at the very least, come back for her earlier. He should never have let her get away. He hated the thought of her alone, feeling like no one cared about her. Especially the people who were supposed to care most, and he knew part of that was his fault. He let her feel that way by staying away and giving up on her and he wasn't about to make that mistake again.

There were tears running down her cheeks when he finally pulled away, and her eyes were closed tightly, like she was struggling with whether or not she wanted to give in. “How can I trust you?” She finally breathed as she opened her eyes and he couldn't help but wince. “When you realize you’re too scared to try and love me again, how do I know you’re not going to cheat on me again?" She questioned. “We don’t know how to do anything but destroy each other. We love each other too damn much and that’s what kills us.” Her voice was weak and it killed him. “Sometimes love isn’t enough. It’s never mattered what I wanted, I can fight my mother and Max, but there always going to win. I know you don’t understand. I gave up everything for us, but look where we ended up.” She said taking a shuttering breath and Mark sighed, kissing away her tears before kissing along her neck, holding her close, afraid he was going to lose her again.

"I didn't know just how much I loved you until I lost you." He whispered against her skin, kissing her slowly. "I couldn't do anything without thinking if you and it was killing me." He sighed, pulling back and placing his forehead against hers. "Being away from you destroys me even more than being with you does, and at least when I'm with you, I'm not totally miserable." He said honestly. "When I'm with you, it might be hard, but that's okay because I'm happy. I'm only happy when I'm with you and I'm willing to deal with all the other shit for that." He whispered. "Being together isn't easy, and it's never going to be, but not being together is pretty much impossible." Mark kissed her lips gently before sighed and pulling away, letting it hang silent for a moment. "I can't lose you again, Frankie." He finally breathed. "I don't think I'll survive it this time if I do."

She closed her eyes as he kissed along her neck, leaving a fiery trail on her skin where ever his lips touched. She could feel herself slipping back into him with every kiss. She hated it for the simple fact that she’d known coming to meet him here would only end in her going back to him.

"I didn't know just how much I loved you until I lost you." He whispered against her skin and she forced herself to focus on his words. "I couldn't do anything without thinking if you and it was killing me." he said leaning his forehead against hers and she kept her eyes closed. "Being away from you destroys me even more than being with you does, and at least when I'm with you, I'm not totally miserable." She finally opened her eyes holding his. "When I'm with you, it might be hard, but that's okay because I'm happy. I'm only happy when I'm with you and I'm willing to deal with all the other shit for that." she hated that he was right. "Being together isn't easy, and it's never going to be, but not being together is pretty much impossible."

He kissed her lips again and she kissed him back, but the quick ended just as quickly as it had started and he released her. She sighed, there was no way she could go back and face Max after Mark was giving her, her freedom back. He was standing right there in front of her, begging for her to come back and telling her he couldn’t live without her. It was everything she’d been waiting for, for the past few months, it almost felt like Max would wake her up any minuet and it would all be taken away from her. She’d be stupid not to leave with him and if anything her mother deserved to lose everything.

"I can't lose you again, Frankie. I don't think I'll survive it this time if I do." he breathed and she let silence fall between them again as she let her eyes fall to the ground, wiping away her tears, before glancing back to him.

“Alright.” She whispered. “Let’s go.” She said it so simply, that she almost made herself believe that there was nothing to fear and nothing was keeping them apart. “But you better be ready for the hell that follows.” She said honestly. “Because know I’m his wife and you can bet he’s not going to let me get away with humiliating him a second time.” She explained, letting him know what he was getting himself into. “He’s going to have a hit out for you and were constantly going to be running.” She sighed running her hands through her hair. “He’s going to kill you.” She finally breathed.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you either." She admitted and he sighed in relief "I love you so much. I didn't think you'd come back, and it was killing me. I didn't know what to do." he nodded understanding her, grateful he was sober "I didn't even kiss him for a month, but it got hard. I only said yes because I thought it'd make me stop loving you. It hurt too much to love you." he smirked as she took the ring off and tossed it on the nightstand, before kissing him and he moan into the kiss able to feel she was as sorry as him. "I didn't want to hurt you." she breathed against his lips.

Her lips traced his jaw and down his neck and it felt incredible, even sober, her kiss made him feel high. They had to get out of there, before Jason came after him, not that he was scared of him, but Spencer already had a million strikes on his record all Jason had to do was call the cops and tell him what happened and Spencer would be thrown behind bars again and this time, Chris might not be able to bail him out.

He used his grip in her hair to bring her lips back to his and he kissed her hard, deepening the kiss as he slipped his tongue past her lips. His lips left hers as they traced along her jaw and down her neck, before he picked her up wrapping her legs around her waist and laying her down on the bed, climbing over her. He pressed his lips to her again.

“Ryan, we have to leave, tonight.” He whispered against her lips. “If you don’t come with me, I have to leave alone.” He sighed pulling away, but holding her eyes.

Ryan smirked when he used his grip on her hair to bring their lips back together again, kissing her hard and slipping his tongue into her mouth, making her moan softly and kiss him back. He kissed along her jaw and neck, setting her on fire before lifting her and wrapping her legs around him, carrying her over to the bed. He lay her down and climbed quickly over her, kissing her lips again and Ryan wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him back hard.

“Ryan, we have to leave, tonight.” He whispered against her lips, making her heart rate speed up. “If you don’t come with me, I have to leave alone.” He sighed and pulled away, holding her eyes, giving her a chance to think about what he'd just said. He wanted to run again. That night. She hesitated, holding his eyes for a moment before turning her head away, sighing deeply.

Last time they ran away, it turned out horribly, and that made her nervous. Not to mention the fact that, now that Spencer had broken into his home, beat the hell out of him, and taken his fiancé, Jace would be furious. He'd tell the police it was a kidnapping and she wouldn't get away so easily this time. There wasn't much the police could do before. She was eighteen, and had simply left home. This time, Jace could easily say it was a kidnapping and, not only that, but a robbery, considering his mother's diamonds were also missing. There was plenty of evidence. They'd be coming after them this time.

The two of them would probably kill each other if thing started to go bad again, and she wasn't sure she could handle it if he got scared and left her again. But she didn't want to be without him again. Not after just getting him back. She couldn't go back to Jason, because she didn't want to marry him. Not now that she knew he still wanted her, but, if she went back, there was no way Jace would be able for drop the fact that, not only had Spencer beat the hell out of him, but had managed to convince his fiancé to dump him. He wouldn't take no for an answer, and he'd call the cops on Spencer.

So, eventually, she sighed and looked at him again. "Okay." She whispered, placing a hand on the back of his neck and pulling him back down to kiss him again, slipping her tongue past his lips and moaning softly into it. "But he's going to chase us this time." She whispered, pushing him off her and rolling ontop of him, smirking down at him as she leaned over him and kissed his jaw and neck. "I hope you're ready for that." She whispered against his skin with a wicked grin as she brought her lips back up to his.
