Background History:
Back on Earth, before the asteroids had began to fall, Liam Patterson was a doctor from New York, and had graduated with his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in 2010, as top of his class. His work life was static, even though his constantly moving around from state to state looking for hospitals that needed fresh doctors. Though, everything had changed upon learning of a large asteroid on it's course to Earth. When he heard that the government had instituted a program that was attempting to move a majority of the people off world and to a different planet to ensure the survival of the Human race, he had applied for a seat on board a ship, and applied to give aid to those who would find themselves on a strange new planet.
