Katelyn Cullens's Story

Tara woke up thinking about the last week she hadn't seen Kate in a while and wondered if she would be totally pissed. She had to keep their relationship a secret because her parents were totally angry all the time about "gays or lesbians" She wouldn't want to break her relationship with Kate but she didn't want to break their relationship with her parents either. She wanted to go further with Kate she wanted them to have a bond. She wanted them to get married really. But she didn't know what to do.

She was at a cross road. She got up changed into into a top with a teddy bear on it and a pair of black jeans. She picked up her cell phone and texted her. -Hey Kate, lets meet up for coffee or something tell me the when and wear and then'll we'll talk, I love you Tara, Xoxo T- She put her phone down and waited for the reply.

Tara looked at her phone to see what she texted. She smiled and then went on her laptop playing a game and replied to a few emails and realized the time. She smiled and walked out the door grabbing her purse and keys. She drove to a liquor store. She walked to the front counter. "Can I buy some fancy champagne?" She smiled paid for it and hopped into her car. Putting the champagne in her purse and drove to the beach. She had wine glasses in her purse and smiled to see that Katelyn was there.

She walked over and sat down. "How are you lovely?" She sat down and leaned in and kissed her. It was no peck but a good kiss and sat back smiling.

Tara listened as Katelyn spoke and asked a question. She smiled and Tara couldn't keep her down deep excitement. "I am glad you did. I want to say something it is important." She listend and smiled at her and grabbed out the champagne and placed it on the picnic blanket that was laid out. She set the wine glasses out and poured the champagne into the glasses and smiled handing one to Katelyn. "This is to us. I love you and I have been a stupid foolish girlfriend. I want you to help me tell my parents that I'm gay." She smiled and waited to see Katelyn's expression. "And I hope you can forgive the way I have behaved?"

Tara looked at Katelyn. "Are you mad?" She asked wondering what she was thinking. Tara wanted to be everything she could for Katelyn and looking at this sad post online how since gay rights were allowing people to get married in California this old lesbian couple got married and died the next day. She kind of freaked out and knew that she never wanted to die alone and if she kept this up Katelyn would leave her she felt that. "I jsut knew it was time for you. For us." She smiled hoping that Katelyn wouldn't be angry.

Tara looked at Katelyn. She asked again and wondered if she'd get an answer. "Katelyn are you mad? I can't tell." She listened as she spoke. "I know I just I love you. And I don't want to wait and then one day you find someone who can be in public with you. Who can hold your hand walking on the boardwalk take you to the mall or movies and hold your hand kiss you all the stuff a normal girlfriend could give you." She said hoping it was a good explanation for Katelyn

"Yes I have one idea. Why don't I ask my parents if a friend could come over for dinner tonight and we tell them? Together hopefully."

Tara grabbed the glass that Katelyn handed her and held her glass up with her. "To us." She took a sip and smiled at Katelyn.

Mini Time Skip

Tara had a lovely afternoon with Katelyn she had told Katelyn to change so that she could tell her parents that she wanted a friend over for dinner. Before she asked she grabbed a suitcase out of her closet and grabbed a few things that she loved the most. She grabbed a few good clothes, her laptop and a very important picture to her. She placed it all in the suitcase and sneaked out the back door and put it in the car. She needed something in case her parents didn't think this all to fun.

She walked back upstairs and grabbed her favorite dress and changed into it. She walked downstairs and smiled at her mother cooking dinner. "Mommy can I have a friend over for dinner?" She turned around and looked at her daughter. "Of course you can."

Tara waited for Katelyn to knock or ring the doorbell on the country-style house. When she did Tara jumped up and opened the door and smiled at Katelyn. "You made it I have been sweating like a dog." She smiled and watched as Katelyn came in. "Mom, dad this is Katelyn, Katelyn this is Julia and Even Hayes, my parents." She sighed and prayed deep down this night would be over with.
