Chóro

Aspiring Hero

Class:
CLASS B

Ability:
Personal Domain: A six foot diameter sphere, which is fixated on the center of his body, is the only area in which Chóro has any power. Inside that realm, he is in almost absolute control, it would not be a stretch to say that, within his sphere, Ryan is close to a god. Outside of this area, however, he is both powerless and blind.

Extra Notes:
Ryan is newly joining the League. Determined to be a strong influence for good in this Earth he is now a part of.

Full Name:
Ryan Nathaniel Dahl

Age:
17. He was born on July 14th.

Gender:
Male / Straight

Appearance:
Ryan is tall-ish, about five feet and eleven inches tall. He has unnaturally white hair and his eyes are likewise a strange grey-ish purple. Closer inspection of his eyes will reveal they're blind, a result of an accident during his youth. He is skinny, not scrawny, with a decently muscular frame, weighing in at about 158 lbs. He has a few piercings, both on his ears up in their cartilage. He has a tattoo on his neck between the collar bone and jaw. He has broad shoulders and large hands. Finally, he doesn't wear a costume, opting instead to cover his face in a mask. He likes to dress smartly, not overly stylishly, as he likes to make a strong first impression. Finally, he has a scar running up his back from his left shoulder blade all the way down to his right hip.

Biography:
Ryan was a government experiment. He has no parents, instead, his looks were predetermined through the use of genetic manipulation. His powers are, thusly, a result of his creation in a lab. The World Government was in the process of creating the ultimate super-soldier; invincible, all-powerful warriors with no feelings and no opinions. Ryan was one of the first working prototypes. Unfortunately, he was born with defects. Feelings. He was taken pity on by one of the female scientists. Barbara was her name. She doted on the experiment, called it her son. Biologically it wasn't even true, their DNA wasn't even remotely related. Still, she brought him his blanket, gave him books, and treated him with kindness. That was when things took a turn for the worse. Barbara had been too kind to Subject 001. Her affect on him needed to be neutralized, he needed to be a killer; ruthless, emotionless. The gave him two options: Kill Barbara or die. Ryan refused, he wouldn't. They pressed him, giving him the scar on his back and blinding him. When he still refused to kill Barbara they did it for him. Ryan presumably lost it, however, instead of becoming the perfect soldier, he became the perfect nightmare. Ryan destroyed the facility effortlessly. Ever since Ryan has been searching for his purpose. When he heard of the League of Heroes he shifted his entire focus, his entire being to joining it. Maybe if he devoted his life to good he would be able to atone for all the lives he ended.

Likes:
~Sweet Things like candy. Self-explanatory, his sweet tooth is massive.
~Soft things too. He keeps a fleece blanket with all of his things. A present from his, "Mom."
~"Reading." He can often be found reading strange books with raised letters as opposed to braille. He's proud to be a blind man who can read actual letters.

Dislikes:
~Any disregard for life.
~The disrespect of one's peers.
~Coffee. WAAAAAAY too bitter.

Fears:
~That people won't see him for who he is instead of just a blind kid.
~Blood and Death. He's deathly afraid of excess amounts of blood. It stimulates a form of shell shock for him; reminding him of his accident.
~Claustrophobia. He really doesn't like enclosed spaces, since he's already so close to what he's fighting.

Aspirations:
~That one day he will be a true hero.
~That people will look up to him like he did with his "mother".
~That his life will mean something and he wasn't created to be a destroyer.

Extra Talents:
~Martial Arts: Chóro is an expert level, not master, practitioner of Xingyiquan, a style of Shoalin Kung Fu.
~Quick Thinking: Chóro is particularly witty and reactive, allowing him to adapt and react to changing situations quicker than a normal human.
~Peak Human Physical Condition: From working out and practicing everyday, Chóro remains at the top of his physical condition.
~Mental Acuity: Chóro loves riddles and games. He loves to practice battling his wits against anyone who will play with him. This keeps his quick thinking in practice.

Strengths:
~Personal Domain: Within the six foot sphere around himself, Chóro can do almost anything. Of course, he has set up a few restrictions on moral and ethical grounds, but his power remains almost limitless as long as he has the ki to fuel it. He won't read someone's mind without their permission. He won't kill anything by any means. The way his power works is simple. He sets up a "descriptor" for the field. That effect takes place immediately and doesn't fade until he chooses to stop it or he runs out of ki. This does mean, however, that multiple effects could happen simultaneously as long as he has the ki to fuel them. For example, say he is trapped well below the surface of the sea. He could create a field of air to breath as well as simultaneously nullifying the ocean's pressure on the newly formed air bubble. This would allow him to survive as well as speed up the bubble's acceleration towards the surface. However, depending on how deep he is, he could run out of ki as he's basically both creating air and destroying the nearby water.

Weaknesses:
~Blindness: Outside of his sphere, he cannot see anything. His hearing and sense of smell still function outside of this area, but since he is mostly human, his senses aren't strong enough to pick things up that are farther away.

~Oath of Peace: Chóro has dedicated his life to the protection and preservation of all life, even if it's evil. Should an evildoer accept his offer for surrender, they will not have to fight him and will be peacefully brought to justice. It doesn't matter how many times he's fought against the same villain, he must always offer. Further, he will never kill someone.

~All or Nothing: When Chóro alters what's currently happening to his sphere, he cannot selectively choose what's happening and where besides upon himself. Example: Say someone goes to shoot him, he will simply nullify the bullet. However, if someone were to shoot him and toss a puppy at him simultaneously and he tried to nullify the bullet, the puppy would be nullified as well.

So begins...

Ryan woke with a start as his alarm clock went off. Today was the City's Anniversary. Ryan flung his covers off of him, getting up and getting ready within a matter of minutes. He threw on his clothes as quickly as he could and tossed some supplies into his rucksack. He grabbed his mask, his wallet, his phone, and everything else he might need for a day on the town. He pulled on his converse sneakers as quickly as he could and flew out of his doorway, down the hall, and up the stairs. He said hello to the elderly landlady as he passed her, a huge smile on his face. "Hello Ryan!" She said, her tone indicative of surprise, most likely due to his hurried expression. "What's so important that it's got you running out of here so fast?" She asked. "Today's the city's anniversary, I'm off to the festivities!" Ryan answered, his massive smile brightening up the room. "That is today, isn't it. Be careful Ryan, and make sure you're home around eight-ish. I'm making your favorite, borscht!" Ryan leaned forward and hugged the elderly woman. "Oooh, that sounds fantastic! I'll be here. Thanks for feeding me again." Ryan said. Though Ryan worked his own side job, and lived in his own home, he'd never learned how to cook. Instead, he paid a little extra in his rent and he would join the widowed landlady at mealtimes. It was perfect, Ryan got to eat and the elderly landlady was kept in good company. As Ryan walked out the door he called back to the his adopted grandmother, smiling and waving. "Bye! I'll be home for dinner!"

Though today was supposed to be a day that supers didn't use their powers, Ryan decided a little cheating wouldn't be so bad. He allowed himself the ability to see in his orb so he wouldn't bump into anything or anyone. After taking the bus downtown, Ryan walked around the Festival grounds with the wide-eyed excitement of a child. He bounced from booth to booth, examining everything he could, tasting treats, playing games, and laughing and smiling as much as he could. Everywhere he went he brightened up the world around him. His wide smile, his happy, purple eyes, and his child-like demeanor reminded the fairgoers why they went out today. To see a card carrying member of the league acting like a normal human boy. To spend a day in peace without super-powered hi-jinks ruining their lives.

As Ryan walked about the fairgrounds, he heard a large group of people crowding around a particular stall. Walking closer to see what the issue was, Ryan was surprised to find they were crowded around a single person. Not that Ryan could see who it was, they were outside of his range, but the general commotion implied that the person there was very important, but the reason why escaped Ryan. He couldn't see anyway. Suddenly, someone jostled in the middle of the crowd. In the confusion, Ryan was knocked forward into a small opening, accidentally bumping into a girl. She was the only one there, therefore, she must have been the reason everyone was so excited. Was she a celebrity? A well known super? Ryan stood, brushed himself off, and turned to "look" at the person who had stolen everyone's attention. She was around his height, with silver hair and pretty blue eyes. Try as he might, Ryan couldn't recognize her. He didn't exactly have the greatest memory for faces and he hadn't seen anyone like her recently, he didn't even know who she was or why she was so important. He had no reason to stick around, further, the crowd was pressing in on him, making him anxious. The claustrophobia was beginning to get to him. "Sorry for bumping into you. I got pushed by some jerk and fell forward. You appear to be ok though, so I'm glad no one's hurt." Ryan said, a bright smile on his face. "Anywho, I'll get out of your hair now, I'm sure that you're here for a very important reason. Ta-ta!" At that, Ryan turned to leave, his hands finding their way to his pockets so as to hide his trembling. The closeness was beginning to take it's toll. He didn't like that people were so close to him.

Today was the Anniversary. The one day where villains could stroll the streets of Optima without having to worry about their heads being blown off by some over-enthusiastic League bootlicker or rouge bounty hunter. True, the government police were still supposedly on duty, but really, what could they do? There were just civvies. Weaklings. A baby Super still in diapers could overpower them.

More to the point—today, Swallow could count on the annual truce to not to be bothered by League idiots. Because today, Swallow was simply Judah Myles. Today, he had immunity.

And it was so very fun to abuse said immunity.

"Whoops," Judah said in a voice that was a touch too cheerful, as his leg "just so happened" to lash out at a nearby puppy.

"Henry!" a tiny boy cried as the dog was unceremoniously punted to the side. The tiny boy's mother gasped and glared at Judah, who simply stuck out his tongue.

"Terribly sorry," he sniggered before sauntering past mother and son. He then began heading towards a particularly wicked-looking roller-coaster, attempting (and failing) to pick a few pockets along the way. Roller-coasters were awesome, but the guys at the gate never wanted to let him in. Something about property damage and being a hazard to ride-goers...

But whatever. If they still refused, he could always just jump past them and climb in a cart. There was literally no one stopping him today.

He passed by a few stalls and booths, occasionally stopping to pick up a fallen ice cream bar or soda can. It boggled his mind, how people could throw away perfectly edible bits of food…not that he was complaining. That just meant more food for him, and aluminum always did have such a pleasing texture…

On a whim, he reached over at a stall and snapped off a flag bearing the colors and symbol of Optima. Gnawing contentedly on the flag, he passed the stall, made a left, and collided into someone's back.

"Ouch! Watch where you're going, you smelly little—" Judah paused in mid-rant. Wide-eyed, he watched as his little collision caused a very amusing domino-effect as person after person stumbled over one another...culminating in some weird white-haired dude flailing about and getting knocked all over the place. Judah laughed in delight. It was moments like these that made life worth living—little moments of beautiful chaos. Granted, it was unintentional, but that just made the whole thing funnier.

He watched (still chewing on his mini-flagpole) as White Haired Dude stuttered out an apology and made to flee from the scene like a startled mouse. What a wimp, he thought, smirking. Seriously, the guy doesn't look like he could tie his shoes without crying.

"Sorry for bumping into you," White Haired Dude was saying. "I got pushed by some jerk and fell forward. You appear to be ok though, so I'm glad no one's hurt."

Pshh. Goody-two-shoes.

"The 'jerk' is right here," Judah announced, bulldozing his way through the crowd and striking what he thought was a cool pose. (It wasn't.) "Don't you know that it's rude to…"

He trailed off, blinking very rapidly. In front of him was Eiseth, the infamously beautiful rouge.

"Oh—my—god—it's, it's—" Abruptly, the junior villain spun around, grabbing White Haired Dude and shaking him by the shoulders. Which wasn't an easy feat, considering how he was half a head taller than Judah. "Do you have any idea who you just—that's Eiseth! You bumped into Eiseth, you maggot! For the love of all things unholy, that's like, like—" He cut himself off mid-sentence and whirled around, demeanor flipping in a complete one-eighty. "Missy Eiseth! Pretty girl! Spare a bit of time for an autograph?"

Judah rifled through his pockets before pulling out a bit of cardboard and a stick of charcoal (both of which he'd planned on eating later) and held them out hopefully, slicking his hair back with his fingers and adding a few winks for good measure.

Laurynn was standing near a booth I hate the people at these damn festivals, but I love the food and games, just wish people would leave me alone, as soon as she thought this a group of young men began to form around her all trying to talk to her and most offered to buy her a drink. She politely refused them all as she tried to make her way out of the crowd, but the men continued to follow her everywhere she went. She continued to walk with them following her until she stopped at a stall, the stall was selling coffee, she found it a little strange that a stall at a festival like this would be selling coffee, but she didn't care, she loved coffee and just as she was about to order a cup a white haired boy bumped into her. "Sorry for bumping into you. I got pushed by some jerk and fell forward. You appear to be ok though, so I'm glad no one's hurt." He said to her before turning to walk off, but before he got anywhere they heard a voice "The 'jerk' is right here" he said as he pushed his way through the crowd and struck a ridiculous pose. Laurynn chuckled a bit at this as he continued to speak "Don't you know that..." he suddenly stopped mid sentence and turned around quickly "Oh—my—god—it's, it's—" he grabbed the boy that had bumped into Laurynn and began to shake him by the shoulders "Do you have any idea who you just—that's Eiseth! You bumped into Eiseth, you superhero maggot! For the love of all things unholy, that's like, like—" He cut himself off again before finishing his sentence turning back to Laurynn "Missy Eiseth! Pretty girl! Spare a bit of time for an autograph?" He attempted to make himself more presentable as he asked for her autograph and Laurynn smiled at him "Excuse me, but why did you assault this young man?" she said referring to the white haired boy who had bumped into her, "Why would it matter who I am? I'm just a pretty girl trying to enjoy my time at the fair. And I'm sorry but I don't feel like giving you my autograph, I just want to have fun today." She said with a smile. She grabbed the white haired boy by the hand and began to walk off with him "Please leave us alone, and you, have a nice day." The first part of this sentence was directed to the group and almost instantly they began to disperse, the second half of the sentence was directed to the boy who never introduced himself but was, like most men, and plenty of women, clearly infatuated with her.

Finally, Sam thought as he tossed his covers aside and rolled out of his bed, the one day where we don't have to worry about madness. He stretched his arms out in a wide open then pulled open the drapes on his window, letting the sun shine through into his room. Shaking the sleep from his body, Sam strode down the hall towards his bathroom. He felt his excitement growing in his blood as he washed off and prepared for the day. After adequately grooming himself, Sam put on his trademark clothes: Levi's jeans, a blue plaid flannel, and his favorite Nikes. Ready to go.

Grabbing his cell phone and wallet, Sam slinked out of his room and towards the front door as quietly as he could, but it was pointless. "Sam, where are you going?" a voice asked quietly from the living room. He turned himself around slowly to face the interrogator; his mother sat in her chair holding a mug of coffee. The shades were drawn across the window, casting a dim light across her face.

"Out for the day." Sam responded coldly. Perhaps that was too much, he realized, but her distant expression did not waver.

"It's not safe out there, Sam..." She trailed off, as he expected, and returned to staring at the empty mug before her.

Sam sighed and pushed open the door, stepping into the excitement that filled downtown. The citizens of Optima flooded the streets around him, enjoying the single day of the year where their world was safe. Sam shouldered his way past the masses and took in the energy of the people around him. Costumed children squealed and ran beneath the feet of their parents who struggled to maneuver their way through the crowds. Street vendors aggressively marketed their products to the pedestrians, who were eager to spend their money. The city at its finest, Sam thought.

Without warning, someone fell into Sam and caused him to bump into someone else. After picking himself up, he saw that the awkward line of human dominos had caused a scene to break out. When it was over, a beautiful girl strode off with a teenager boy; He looks awfully familiar, Sam thought as the two disappeared into the crowd. They left another older looking kid with cardboard and charcoal standing in the the middle of the crowd, which shot angry glares at him. Well this is...unusual.

Just as Ryan was about to walk away, maybe find some games to play or booths to visit, he was distracted by a very loud something coming from outside his sphere, he couldn't see what it looked like. "The 'jerk' is right here." Ryan instantly turned on his heel to face the voice. Ryan could hear his footsteps approaching him, accompanied by the scuffles of people being shoved. The voice strode over towards him, becoming louder. "Don't you know that..." The voice suddenly stopped mid sentence. It sounded like it had been distracted by something. Then, without Ryan's permission, someone got very close to him and grabbed him by the shoulders. He appeared to be a boy, wearing black goggles that barely hid brown eyes. He was wearing odd clothes His hair was an interesting shade of...green? Regardless, he was much too close to Ryan's, taking up much of his personal space. He made to step backwards from the boy, but instead was grabbed by the shoulders and shook roughly. After a few seconds of playing along, Ryan shook the boy off of him. He didn't like it when people just up and touched him for no reason. "Oh—my—god—it's, it's— Do you have any idea who you just—that's Eiseth! You bumped into Eiseth, you superhero maggot! For the love of all things unholy, that's like, like—" He cut himself off again, and left Ryan's bubble.

'Oof-da,' Ryan thought. 'That was aggravating. Wait... superhero maggot? How would he know I'm a hero? Do I seem too strong? Perhaps My mask is hanging out of my pack? Odd, regardless, the amount of derision in his voice when he mentioned superheroes was much to high to be coincidental or accidental. He must either be a villain or someone who doesn't much like heroes. However, today I'm just a normal boy, albeit mostly blind. For now, I'll leave that alone. ' After a brief moment, Ryan was pulled from his pondering by that same voice, the one from the boy who shook him, speaking loudly, and presumably at the girl he bumped into. "Missy Eiseth! Pretty girl! Spare a bit of time for an autograph?" Ryan chuckled slightly. 'Quickly now, I can get away without anyone being so close to me.' Just as Ryan was about to leave, after having turned around once more, he heard the girl speak up. "Excuse me, but why did you assault this young man?" She said referring obviously to Ryan. "Why would it matter who I am? I'm just a pretty girl trying to enjoy my time at the fair. And I'm sorry but I don't feel like giving you my autograph, I just want to have fun today." After a brief moment, she re-entered Ryan's sphere and took him by the hand, leading him away from everyone else. "Please leave us alone, and you, have a nice day." The two walked for a moment. Ryan was unsure of what to do. He'd never walked with, especially not while holding hands. Not since he was very little.

"Umm... excuse me." Ryan piped up, posing some questions to the girl who'd just randomly taken his hand and was know leading him around the fairground. "Why exactly are you holding my hand, and where do you plan on taking me? Pardon my confusion, I just don't know you is all, and I usually don't make a habit of walking around with random strangers. I don't know your face and I don't recognize your voice, do you know me?"

"Excuse me," said the Awesomely-Most-Gorgeous-Her-Royal-Highness Eiseth, "but why did you assault this young man?"

Judah blinked. Huh? Assault? Oh wait—she meant that shoulder shaking thing. Pfft, was that really considered assault these days? What, was White Haired Guy made out of porcelain? Laaame.

"Why would it matter who I am?" she continued. "I'm just a pretty girl trying to enjoy my time at the fair."

He wasn't really understanding what she was saying. It didn't matter who she was? Like hell! Why wouldn't it matter? She was Eiseth. Eiseth! A succubus! Born in hell! That was, like, the epitome of coolness. How could anything top that?

"And I'm sorry but I don't feel like giving you my autograph, I just want to have fun today. Please leave us alone, and you, have a nice day."

And then she strode away, hand in hand with White Haired Guy.

What a priss, he thought, but it was quickly drowned out amidst a flood of omigod she's SO PRETTY and wait did she just SMILE at me?!?!!

"You got it, Missy Eiseth," he said, a goofy smile spreading over his face. (Several people began backing away nervously at the sight of his exposed, sharklike teeth.)

Sure, the pretty rogue had been a bit more uptight that he'd been expecting. Who knew a succubus could be such a priss? But still, she was Eiseth, and she was drop-dead gorgeous, and beautiful, and amazing, and…and that kind of made up for everything. And she talked to him. Him! She bid him a nice day! Oh, he couldn't wait to tell Afterburn about this. He was going to be so jealous.

Absentmindedly, Judah began to munch on the cardboard and charcoal stick he was holding. He was utterly oblivious to the dispersing crowd around him.

"Did you see that?" he said dazedly to a random passerby (who, unbeknownst to him, was a certain Samuel Cassio). "She talked to me! She smiled at me…"

He suddenly turned to stare at said random passerby, as if looking at him for the first time. Judah frowned. Now that he was actually paying attention, the guy looked kind of familiar. Had he seen him before? Let's see...was this the guy whose car he ate last week…? Nah, that guy had red hair. This guy's head was covering in ugly brown. Hmm. What a mystery this was.

…Ah well. He'd figure it out eventually, if it was important. Or make Clyde figure it out for him, which was usually the case with puzzling mysteries. Anyway, Judah was currently as happy as a villainous clam, and as such he now felt like eating something.

(Well, he always felt like eating something, but that really wasn't the point.)

He eyed the man's feet. Nike. Yum.

"Hey," he said to the Man-Who-Was-Not-A-Redhead. "D'you mind handing over your shoes? I've got a craving for Nike right now."

Usually he'd just go ahead an take them (permission was so overrated) but right now he was in a remarkably civil mood. Perhaps it had something to do with meeting one of his most idolized Supers? An actual denizen from hell? Who actually talked to him? And actually smiled at him? And—

…Yeah, alright, he was still kind of geeking out about that.

Laurynn was smiling as she walked along with her the young man that she was using as her savior. After a short while he eventually spoke to her, "Umm... excuse me. Why exactly are you holding my hand, and where do you plan on taking me? Pardon my confusion, I just don't know you is all, and I usually don't make a habit of walking around with random strangers. I don't know your face and I don't recognize your voice, do you know me?" The boys voice sounded a just a bit concerned.

Laurynn turned to him flashing a huge smile that most of her male acquaintances (and quite a few of the ladies too) would have fallen head over heels for. "Well young man, simply put, no I do not know you. But before I go into anything else, let us start with an introduction, that way I am not a random stranger. I am Laurynn Peters, known to many as Eiseth, although today due to the occasion I am just plain old Laurynn, nothing super about me." As she said this last line she winked at him. "We are holding hands because I wanted to get away from all those men back there, they were obsessed with me ('as always' she added in thought to herself). Men like the one that assaulted you are often harassing me when I go out into public, I shall spare you the details. Simply put you seemed different so I thought I'd get to know you. You should feel lucky not everyone gets to go to the fair with a lady as pretty as I am" yet again she flashes him a wink and a smile. If I've caused you any discomfort I apologize, like I said you seemed different and that alone was reason enough for me to wish to get to know you." She had a happy tone to as she spoke to him, as if for some reasons all the false human interactions she has been dealing with didn't exist, but she didn't know why.

The girl turned to him flashing a huge smile, to which Ryan smiled back. He liked this lady, she was nice, or at least she appeared so. "Ohhh... Cool." Ryan said, nodding in recognition, he remembered now. Eiseth was a new up-and-coming super. They called her a succubus, though Ryan didn't know what that meant. For some reason, her fans were particularly rabid, showing a degree of stalkerism and raw love for her that Ryan didn't know people could possess. It was odd. She didn't appear to be disfigured or particularly odd-looking. Further, despite her horns she looked just like a regular person. Ryan didn't understand why people would be so obsessive over small details, but then again, different people had different tastes, maybe they just really liked that kind of thing, or maybe they just hated it. Regardless, they'd been walking for a while and Ryan hadn't said anything. She was obviously waiting to catch his name so Ryan, in turn, introduced himself.

"Since you introduced yourself I guess I should too. I'm Ryan Dahl. Sometimes I'm called Chóro, but like you, I too am just Ryan today." Ryan said plainly. They continued walking, passing booths that Ryan really wanted to visit, but he assumed that since she was still holding his hand, she obviously wanted to talk with him. Ryan's stomach growled hungrily. He'd eaten breakfast, but lunch time was quickly passing him by and Ryan wanted to eat. Further, there were games to be played and people to see. There was so much to do and so little time to do it. They were wasting precious time. "We are holding hands because I wanted to get away from all those men back there, they were obsessed with me. Men like the one that assaulted you are often harassing me when I go out into public, I shall spare you the details." Ryan nodded again. That would most certainly explain why that weird guy just randomly grabbed him and shook him so rudely. As Ryan finished pondering, she spoke again. "Simply put you seemed different so I thought I'd get to know you. You should feel lucky. Not everyone gets to go to the fair with a lady as pretty as I am." Yet again she flashes him a wink and a smile. Ryan too smiled, the corners of his eyes turning upwards as they closed. It was a simple smile, a child's smile.

"If I've caused you any discomfort I apologize, like I said you seemed different and that alone was reason enough for me to wish to get to know you." She had a happy tone to as she spoke to him. "Well, I certainly hope I don't disappoint, however I'm starting to feel a bit rude." Here his stomach gurgled quite loudly. He giggled slightly. "It seems I'm very hungry, do you mind coming with me to get some food? Or should I let you be?" At that, Ryan cocked his head upwards and sniffed hard, much like a wild animal. He turned towards the smell. It was sweet, overly so. His sweet tooth was setting off a stage five alarm. There was cinnamon and sugar and something else Ryan couldn't quite place, but all of it smelled perfectly amazing. "Mmm... that smells fantastic." Not waiting for an answer, Ryan charged over toward the booth, still holding her hand, a huge smile on his face. He walked up to the booth and handed the necessary money to the patron. "Two please!" Ryan said, a sweet smile on his face. Ryan giggled happily as the stall owner handed him two very large cinnamon buns and the change. "Yummy!" Ryan said, already drooling. "Here, have one." Ryan said, offering the massive sweet roll, his own already crammed halfway inside his mouth.

Ryan introduced himself in turn and smiled back when she winked at him, but it wasn't the smile most men gave her, it was, pure, childish even. When she told him she wanted to get to know him he responded a bit concerned ""Well, I certainly hope I don't disappoint, however I'm starting to feel a bit rude." just the she heard a deep rumbling, Guess he's as hungry as I am she thought as he continued to speak "It seems I'm very hungry, do you mind coming with me to get some food? Or should I let you be? "Mmm... that smells fantastic." He exclaimed before running off to a cinnamon bun stand. He comes bouncing back carrying two rather large cinnamon buns "Here, have one." He said cramming his in his mouth.

"Thanks hun, it smells delicious." She said before taking a small bite of her bun. Wow this really is good, still kind of bummed I didn't get my coffee though. She thought as she continued to eat her cinnamon bun, "Wow this is really good Ryan." As they continued to walk together they past other stalls but unfortunately she could didn't find another coffee stand like the one Ryan saved her from. She sighed "Hey Ryan, you thirsty? I could really go for a coffee right about now" She said, and followed it with, "So while we walke why don't you tell me a bit about yourself. Where are you from? What do you do?" She didn't realize just how much she was asking from the poor kid.

She saw Curiass looking across the way, giving her that glance and making sure she wasn't able to use her powers. Unlike some people, she actually had some respect for the armistice that had been struck some years back. It wasn't like she was going to use them on this particular day--not out of respect for the treaty, but because she knew she would easily be outnumbered by the sheer number of goody-goody heroes and potential civilian wannabe-heroes that would attempt to get in her way. Of course, she knew that they would not stand a chance as soon as she was able to get away from Curiass, but she sort of figured that as soon as she moved, he would attempt to stay on her tail for as long as possible--he could be so overzealous sometimes.

Another young man walked into the cafe, taking a seat in a booth before opening his laptop and staring at her from over the screen. Why did everyone seem to know who she was today, even not in her Darkspawn form? The kid with the laptop, though... he seemed familiar somehow... Had she seen him from somewhere before?

The waiter returned to the table, Camilla's sandwich and drink in hand. She nodded slightly and began to eat her meal, even feeling as uncomfortable with the situation at hand. If the food was still good, then at least there was something else--

Of course! That kid with the laptop--she had seen him in the news! Something about exploding ATMs with a thought! That'd be something interesting for the Anti-League for sure... Although it might prove to be too much attention for the press at this time, with a bit of training--by someone else, not her; she was not capable of even trying to comprehend how this could be done--he could really prove an asset to her cause...

It would have to wait, though; she had devoured her sandwich without even realizing how quickly she had gone through it. Not even a taste remained in her mouth, which actually saddened her somewhat. She did not often get the chance to just... walk around like that, although given the opportunity, she would rather avoid most of the rabble that she viewed to be beneath her anyway. It's something that any villain would do, and Camilla was no exception.

However, today was the one day where she was required to be somewhat lawful and civil, which she loathed. Reaching into her pocket, she placed her money on the table and left the restaurant, flashing a quick smirk at the boy with the laptop on her way out before turning toward Curiass and scowling disapprovingly at him--they both knew what he did, but she did not say a word as she exited the cafe, taking to the streets once again.

The crowds were beginning to die down slightly, but there were still throngs of people mulling about the various stands and exhibits in the streets. She needed to find Swallow somewhere among these people--knowing him, he'd have caused some sort of chaos among the people just by taking a bite from some portion of a stand and watching it all collapse before his eyes. While normally she would have encouraged such behavior on any other day, this particular day was off-limits, as much as she detested it, she at least tried to honor it... if only because the heroes were just wandering the streets and would pick up on any sort of crime in an instant.

However, when she turned a corner among the stalls, she ran into a familiar face talking with a not-so-familiar one; the succubus known as Eisith was talking to a human with snow-white hair and a rather pale complexion. The kid with the teeth had a crush on her--she couldn't get the kid to shut up about it, either--and she seemed intent on getting to know the object of her protegee's affection... Then again, if she was a succubus, it wouldn't matter all that much, considering most men would have fallen under her charm anyway just because of her nature. With a huge grin on her face, she took a few steps toward the unsuspecting demon.

"So you're the famous Eisith that my... 'friend' drools over?" she cut in to whatever conversation they might have been having, although they did not seem to be talking when she had interjected. "I must say, you're rather comely for a succubus, but that's not saying much now, is it?" She suddenly felt a lot more fluid now that Cuirass was not following her, although something about the demon's 'date' seemed... off... Was he a super? She had a hard time remembering the face; perhaps it would come to her eventually...

Before Ryan had a chance to reply to her question Laurynn saw an unfamiliar face walk up. She was a woman who stood about an inch shorter than Laurynn. She had black hair that hung just past her shoulders and wore a black top. She was relatively attractive and this interested Laurynn. "So you're the famous Eiseth that my... 'friend' drools over? I must say, you're rather comely for a succubus, but that's not saying much now, is it?"
Laurynn smiled at her brushing off the back handed compliment, she knew she was the most beautiful succubus on hell or earth and she didn't need to tell anyone, "Well hello there, please call me Laurynn only those low enough to be my targets call me Eiseth, and you are certainly above that." Her tone implies respect and friendliness as she speaks. " So you say you're friend drools over me? Well I suppose that's not uncommon. I mean my friend Ryan here just helped me to escape from a young man with odd teeth who was pestering me." She motions toward Ryan, in a simple introduction. "Although I might visit him later, if I desire an easy target. I prefer a challenge however, it's more fun that way." She smiled an almost devious smile with her last words.

She fueled her next words with a seduction much greater than was natural, it took some effort but it did not show on her face. She hoped it would have an affect on this woman. "Sometimes this beauty is as much a curse as anything. Although men drooling over you is probably something you understand as well, you are quite the attractive lady yourself." Women are so much harder to seduce than men, although my abilities have turned many a 'straight' woman into a writhing pile of pleasure on my bed. as she thought this she winked at this new comer flirtatiously and fluttered her two small pairs of wings in an extremely seductive manner that has worked numerous times in the past, hoping to entice the woman. "Ryan and I were on our way to get something to drink. Would you care to join us? I was thinking coffee, but whatever it is you two desire would be more than acceptable to me." As she mentioned Ryan she wrapped her arm around him as one would do with an old friend, implying she knew him much better than she did. She twirled her long platinum white hair in her fingers as she awaited a reply, a friendly and less overtly seductive technique that she often employs when her target did not fall for her over the top antics. She doesn't really have a target at the moment, but she was bored, and as interested as she was in finding out why Ryan did not seem to be as affected by her as most men, she did enjoy a challenge and this woman might be just the challenge she was looking for. Plus it had been a while since she absorbed some energy from someone, and she had no intention of draining either of her companions to death, just enough to maintain her body for another month or so, sure she could last another week but why wait when you have two people who could help right in front of you.

As Ryan was tearing his way through the sweet roll, a huge satisfied smile on his face, someone walked up to them. He could tell it was a woman from the sound of her footsteps, but her face and other features remained a mystery to him. Regardless, everything was fine. Today was the day that supers were on break. No reason to get all anxious. When she got close enough, she spoke, though Ryan still couldn't see her face, she wasn't quite that close. "So you're the famous Eiseth that my... 'friend' drools over? I must say, you're rather comely for a succubus, but that's not saying much now, is it?" Ryan just turned to look at her, his eyes smiling, though his mouth was preoccupied with delicious frosted goodness. The voice appeared to be addressing Laurynn, who in turn responded to it. His new friend must be very popular to be recognized by quite so many people. "Well hello there, please call me Laurynn only those low enough to be my targets call me Eiseth, and you are certainly above that." Her tone implied respect and friendliness as she spoke. It was the same voice she was using with Ryan. It was gentle, obviously spoken through a smile. However, there was something different about the way she said it. Ryan couldn't quite put his finger on it. Now that he thought about it, that something was in both voices, a sort of razor edge that implied competition. It was strange. As soon as Ryan thought he heard it, it was gone again.

"So you say your friend drools over me? Well I suppose that's not uncommon. I mean my friend Ryan here just helped me to escape from a young man with odd teeth who was pestering me." Ryan tore himself away from his bun to "look" at the person whom he was addressing, wiping his face with a napkin before smiling and waving. "Hello." Ryan said cordially. "Although I might visit him later, if I desire an easy target. I prefer a challenge however, it's more fun that way." Ryan tilted his head and "looked" at Laurynn. He didn't quite understand what that last bit meant. Was she a super? Further, why was she attempting to attack someone? Wouldn't that make her a villain? No, no, today was the temporary truce. There would be no fighting today.

Ryan was too puzzled by her last statement to fully catch Laurynn's next one. If he had, despite his massive naivete, even he would have felt something after hearing such loaded words. Quite literally, as, unbeknownst to Ryan, Laurynn's words were her best weapons. He did, however, catch the butt end of her statement. "...Ryan and I were on our way to get something to drink. Would you care to join us? I was thinking coffee, but whatever it is you two desire would be more than acceptable to me." As she mentioned Ryan she wrapped her arm around him as one would do with an old friend. Ryan, whose face was once more buried in his cinnamon bun, squirmed almost imperceptibly, just enough so that Laurynn would feel it. He didn't mind if his new friend stood so close to him, but this close was a little too much. "Umm... not to be ungrateful, though I do appreciate the company, would you mind accompanying me to a place that doesn't sell only coffee. It's just not my favorite is all." Ryan said, after finishing his bun and wiping his mouth once more; making sure he appeared presentable. "Also, I'm sorry Miss, I didn't catch your name. We've both introduced ourselves," Ryan said, motioning to himself and Laurynn, as well as stepping out of Laurynn's arm. "However, I don't think I caught your name. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" Ryan asked cordially, a large smile on his face and his hand extended politely.

"Well hello there, please call me Laurynn; only those low enough to be my targets call me Eiseth, and you are certainly above that." The succubus was rather well-mannered and respectful, Camilla would have to give her that. Funny, though, that Eiseth had no idea who she was--or if she did, she did a damn good job of not showing it. Regardless, Camilla knew what she was trying to do--the archives at the Anti-League had a somewhat extensive history on most of the rogues that might make for potential candidates for villainy, and Eiseth was one of the more noteworthy rogues that the order had been keeping tabs on. She knew what the succubus was capable of, and she was attempting to remain unaffected from her supernatural charm as possible.

"So you say your friend drools over me? Well, I suppose that's not uncommon. I mean, my friend Ryan here just helped me to escape from a young man with odd teeth who was pestering me." Odd teeth? Was that...? It had to be the kid--he would run into one of his idols in the street and pester her; he was a total fanboy for this sort of thing. "Although I might visit him later if I desire an easy target. I prefer a challenge, however; it's more fun that way." Camilla smirked--he figured he'd enjoy the attention, but that was not her problem.

"Don't we all prefer a challenge, Laurynn?" the newcomer oozed, a smirk across her face. "It's what makes life interesting, no?" She understood what she was trying to do--there would be none of that today, she was adamant about that.

"Sometimes this beauty is as much a curse as anything. Although men drooling over you is probably something you understand as well--you are quite the attractive lady yourself." There was something behind those words... a bit of power trying to burrow its way into her brain. Infatuation. Camilla would have none of that nonsense, even as Eiseth twirled her blonde hair around one finger and fluttered her wings coyly. Perhaps that would work wonders on men and teens, but not so much on an adult woman who transformed into an amorphous mass of inky darkness.

The black-haired woman chuckled. "You flatter me, but I'm not quite the romantic type... At least, not nearly as open about it as you are. Then again, it's what you do, no?" If only she knew...

The white-haired man looked somewhat surprised and caught off-guard as the succubus wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Ryan and I were on our way to get something to drink. Would you care to join us? I was thinking coffee, but whatever it is you two desire would be more than acceptable to me." Eiseth was pulling out all the stops to get her to come with, wasn't she? Of course, she really should be looking out for her protegee, but she figured it could wait a bit--the little hellion would be causing all sorts of trouble even if she was there to stop him.

"Eh, what the hell? I've got nothing better to do..." she shrugged. "Although I'd prefer not going to the cafe on Constellation Avenue... It was too crowded there, and I'm slightly claustrophobic..." It was a dumb lie and she knew it; however, there was a reason she did not want to go back to that cafe, but the others did not need to know about it. It would not have explained why she was outside on this particular day, but hey, it was what she could come up with on the spot.

"Also, I'm sorry Miss, I didn't catch your name. We've both introduced ourselves," the white-haired man cut in, motioning to himself and Laurynn, as well as stepping out of Laurynn's arm. "However, I don't think I caught your name. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" He extended a hand out, looking at the black-haired woman but simultaneously looking staring through her.

"Eh... you can just call me Cam, I guess..." she replied, extending her hand out to shake 'Ryan's' hand--at least, that's what the succubus had called him; for all she knew, Eiseth was lying to her about him, but she had no way of knowing for sure. "I'm sure my friend can wait until later..." she raised an eyebrow toward Eiseth, almost implicitly telling her that she knew what the woman was trying to do.

Laurynn smiled as the woman responded "Eh what the hell? I've got nothing better to do ... Althoug I'd prefer not going to the cafe on Constellation Avenue ... It was too crowded there, and I'm slightly claustrophobic ... " The woman had no expression on her face as she said this, giving no indication of anything but the truth.

"Don't worry honey, we all get that way sometimes, in fact I feel claustrophobic all the time, so many people crowding me I just have to get the hell out of there." She said as her smile turned to a more concerned and understanding look.

"Also, I'm sorry Miss, I didn't catch your name. We've both introduced ourselves" This time Ryan spoke up, something Laurynn wasn't quite expecting but she smiled at him reassuringly as he motioned to the two of them, "However, I don't think I I caught your name. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" He asked and Laurynn looked back at their new companion waiting for her response.

"Eh ... you can just call me Cam, I guess ... " She replied shaking Ryan's hand, at which point she turned to Laurynn with an eyebrow raised, " I'm sure my friend can wait until later ... " Laurynn instantly knew what Cam was thinking. "How dare she, no one talks to me that way. I would never actually stoop so low as to target someone like him, I'd rather walk into the dream of some man I didn't know that one who approached me, no fun in a willing target. " Laurynn thought her face forming a pout.

Laurynn's trademark smiled returned as she began to speak again. "Don't worry honey, I'm in no rush to visit him, in fact as I mentioned earlier, challenges are ever so much more fun" with the last part of the sentence Laurynn yet again winked and fluttered her wings coyly, hoping to entice the woman, I don't really want her, but I want to know I could have her ... she thought pouring a little extra seduction into her next words. "He's beneath me anyway, I prefer someone of an equal standing to myself" It would have been clear to Camilla that Laurynn was referring to her, however Ryan might not have caught the subtle intricacies of what Laurynn was saying.

"Anyway back to the topic at hand. Where to go get something to drink. ... OH! I know just the place!" Laurnn said excitedly. "It's not far from here, unfortunately it's not a part of the fair that we were enjoying together just moments ago." Laurynn looked to Ryan as she said this hoping he wouldn't be too upset. "But it is one of my favorite places, it's just the road, on Fifth Avenue. If we walk, I'll point it out to you guys." She said smiling. I'm not sure what Ryan will think of Johnson's Pub and Brewery, but he didn't want coffee so I'll bet he likes sweet things, and on top of a large selection of craft beer, they have in house brewed Root Beer, and the best root beer float I've ever tasted. I hope he likes it. Laurynn smiled as they walked.

As his new friend 'Cam' shook his hand, Ryan tilted his head to the side. "Oops, I just realized that I hadn't formally introduced myself. As my friend Laurynn said, my name is Ryan. It's very nice to meet you." Ryan said, a large, childish smile on his face. As she shook his hand, Ryan took a small moment to examin her features. Nothing out of the ordinary, and he didn't recognize her face from anywhere. She just must be a regular old people then. Great! Ryan loved making new friends, and super-less people made the best friends. They were the most trusting, the most accepting. As soon as he as finished, Ryan stepped back towards Laurynn so as to remove himself from Cam's personal bubble. Obviously Laurynn didn't mind being so close to him, which Ryan didn't mind either, so it was best to stay where he knew he wouldn't offend anyone. After that, he let Laurynn speak up once again, as he wasn't quite sure what to do in this situation. He didn't have a destination in mind, nor did he want to. Wandering was fun.

"Don't worry honey, I'm in no rush to visit him, in fact as I mentioned earlier, challenges are ever so much more fun." Laurynn said, shuddering her wings for a second. Was she cold? It was a beautiful sunny day. What the heck? Ryan just shrugged and "looked" around, attempting to play it off as if he were actually looking for something fun to do. "He's beneath me anyway, I prefer someone of an equal standing to myself." Ryan didn't get it, but he nodded vigorously anyway. "Yup yup. It's always best to be with people who are close to you." Ryan said. Not knowing the implications of such words.

"Anyway back to the topic at hand. Where to go get something to drink. ... OH! I know just the place!" Laurnn said excitedly. Ryan instantly started paying attention once more. Food was being discussed and he was both terribly thirsty and ravenously hungry. "It's not far from here, unfortunately it's not a part of the fair that we were enjoying together just moments ago." Laurynn looked to Ryan as she said this hoping he wouldn't be too upset. "But it is one of my favorite places, it's just the road, on Fifth Avenue. If we walk, I'll point it out to you guys." Ryan smiled. "Yay! I like the sound of that. I am very thirsty. Let's go!" Ryan grinned childishly once more and skipped off ahead. He only made it a few paces before he turned around, a silly look on his face. "Hehehe, I don't know where the place is. I have to let you lead." Ryan rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand as he said it, chuckling the whole time.

"Don't worry honey, I'm in no rush to visit him, in fact as I mentioned earlier, challenges are ever so much more fun. He's beneath me anyway, I prefer someone of an equal standing to myself." While she would have most definitely agreed that the new kid was below her level, the succubus was most definitely trying to assert herself as someone comparable to her! Camilla did her best to stifle a chuckle--this Eiseth character was amusing now... Dangerous, but amusing all the same. Perhaps she would have to come back with a bit of reinforcement later just to ensure that she would "listen" to her proposition about joining the Anti-League... The brief thought flickered for just a moment before the black-haired woman shook her head and drove it out of her mind. She was trying to concentrate on not blowing this entire situation out of hand--the damn armistice was not preventing her from changing form, but it most certainly would draw too much unneeded attention--something Camilla did not need to deal with at this point, especially with so many heroes within shouting distance...

"Anyway back to the topic at hand. Where to go get something to drink... OH! I know just the place!" Laurynn seemed rather excited as she rattled off the location of a pub that was a slight walk away, but it just happened to be secluded enough that any potential heroes might not want to interfere with a potential meet-up of villains. Granted, this was not the reason for Camilla's decision to accompany the succubus, but it was better than slinking off to her lair once again. She still had some money in her pocket anyway; if not, there was always the debit card...

The white-haired boy seemed rather excited about the prospect of getting a drink--the succubus was eager to show off her skills and her new "boyfriend", wasn't she? Regardless of what other ulterior motives she had for attempting to control the young man, Camilla could respect someone that manipulated the people for her own gains--personal, monetary, or even for sustenance. It was most becoming of someone that could be steered on the path of villany, that was for sure. If only there was some way to convince her of the benefits someone like her could receive from joining them...

After a few minutes of walking, they came to their destination: one Johnson's Pub. The air smelled of alcohol and fried foods--something that Camilla did not get to experience very often, but she concealed her surprise rather well, all things considered. The group found a small booth in the back of the restaurant, and Camilla made sure that she was sitting on one side alone--the last thing she wanted was either of them getting too close for comfort, especially the succubus. The black-haired woman knew exactly what she was trying to do, and she did not appreciate it at all. Maybe her other friend would be less of a challnge--or perhaps he was already enthralled, she could not tell--but Camilla was determined to maintain her resolve for as long as she was able... And if it came to it, well, she could always say she was acting in self-defense...

The group didn't talk much on their short walk, and no one said anything as they arrived at their destination, Laurynn simply pointed them to the door and they walked in, Camilla lead the way to a small booth in the back of the restaurant. They sat down, Laurynn next to Ryan, pinning him to the inside of the booth, and Camilla on her side alone. Before they began talking a fairly attractive young waitress walked up to their table with a menu and three glasses of water. "Hello everyone, I'm Nicole and I'll be your server today. Can I start ya'll off with a few drinks?" She said cheerfully, she was one of those people who was always happy, no matter what was going on. "ooh this will be fun, I bet I can get her to give us the meal on the house" Laurynn thought to herself smiling a little devilishly. "Well hello Nicole, how are you today, I'd like to start off with a whiskey coke if it's not to much trouble." She said he voice singing with seduction as her wings fluttered coyly yet again. "Well it would be not trouble at all hun, is there anything else I can get you?" The waitress said to the table waiting for the groups orders. "You guys everything's on me so please don't hold back. The food here really is amazing as well. In fact, Nicole would you mind adding in one of your Spicy Buffalo Burgers to my order? It really is my favorite thing here, but all of it is wonderful." She said praising the food but making it seem as if she were complimenting Nicole personally. "Thank you so much hun, we do whatever we can to make sure you have a wonderful experience when you visit us." Nicole responded, clearly falling under Laurynn's influence. Oh this is just too easy, I can get whatever I want out of this girl. And she is rather cute, we'll have to see how things go. Laurynn thought as that same sly smile appeared on her face again. Nicole waited patiently as the other two ordered their drinks, and food, she seemed to enjoy being at their table, and almost didn't want to leave and bring the order to the bartenders and cooks.

Blake smiled widely, making the wind pick up again.

I really should stop doing that, she admonished her self. But sometimes she just couldn't help getting excited. It almost made her wonder what would happen if someone made her mad. It had never really happened before, so who knew?

She was anxious to start drawing them, but the taller boy had a point. Blake herself hadn't had more for breakfast than a cup of tea. Her Nanan always did say that she ate like a bird.

She ignored the twinge of pain at the thought. Nanan had been gone for years, and she shouldn't still be mourning. Thoughts about what she would do or say would catch up to her occasionally and strike out of nowhere. Blake wasn't ever prepared for them and could wind up in a subdued funk that lasted for hours or even days if she let it.

No. Don't think about that. Stay in the present, girl.

Replacing her book into her black messenger bag, she replied to Mr. Super, "I know a good place, a few blocks away on Fifth avenue. The food is pretty great and I don't think it'll be overly crowded quite yet."

Though judging by the shiny piece of what looked like a soda can stuck in the teeth of Mr. Green, he may not exactly have been too picky about what he ingested.

"I would like to warn you though," she continued, "The wait staff is insanely perky. I mean, like if a cheerleader and a parakeet somehow managed to reproduce, these girls would be the super happy mutant babies." She finished with a sheepish grin and a rock back onto her heels.

Her eyes also darted quickly over to the taller guy to see if he had any reaction to her emphasis on the word. The suspicious look on his face had told her exactly how apprehensive he was feeling. She might as well confirm what he already suspected.

"By the way," she chirped, "I don't think I got your names?"

(OOC: I tagged you other guys because we're heading your way.)

The group didn't talk much on their short walk over, and there wasn't much need to. The thought of getting something to drink and a snack to munch was far too pressing for Ryan's mind to process much else. Laurynn lead the way across the street, into the bar and finally to a small booth in the back of the restaurant. They sat down, Laurynn next to Ryan, pinning him to the inside of the booth, and Camilla on her side alone. The air smelled of something that was deep fried and AMAZING! Ryan was always hungry, and when he saw a giant boot of root beer float pass by, he actually started salivating. This place was fantastic! Even though he couldn't see much, Ryan's eyes were darting all over the place, trying to absorb the delicious aroma in the air through every possible sensory input. However, before he could ask where they were and why they chose this place, someone spoke up. She was just barely on the edge of Ryan's border, so he couldn't quite make out her whole body, but she looked nice enough and brought them menus and some water. He didn't squint, or even remotely let on that he couldn't see. He just smiled kindly in her direction before burying his nose in the menu.

"Hello everyone, I'm Nicole and I'll be your server today. Can I start ya'll off with a few drinks?" She said cheerfully, she was one of those people who was always happy, no matter what was going on, wasn't she? One of those.... Morning people. Ryan made a small noise of disgust under his breath. 'Morning people are the scum of the Earth...' Ryan thought to himself. Though he would never wish harm on another, morning people were just asking you to punch them. "Well hello Nicole, how are you today, I'd like to start off with a whiskey-coke if it's not too much trouble." Ryan heard Laurynn say, as he found what he was looking for. The appetizer platter and a huge float to go with it. There was a little something of everything to try, and it all sounded so delicious, 'Hopefully I won't have to share...' Not, of course, that Ryan wouldn't mind sharing if couldn't eat it all. Ryan was just feeling really hungry, and his stomach was trying to tell him that sharing was a bad idea. Audibly. Ryan blushed a little and patted his stomach. "Hehehe, sorry," Ryan chuckled, patting his tummy. Noting his order mentally and preparing to recite for the waitress, Ryan looked up to catch the last bit of their waitress's conversation with Laurynn. "You guys everything's on me so please don't hold back. The food here really is amazing as well. In fact, Nicole would you mind adding in one of your Spicy Buffalo Burgers to my order? It really is my favorite thing here, but all of it is wonderful." Laurynn said. Ryan made a mental note to come back and try it. It sounded yummy. "Thank you so much hun, we do whatever we can to make sure you have a wonderful experience when you visit us." Nicole, the silly waitress responded. Ryan smiled. 'How nice of her.' Ryan thought to himself.

After Cam ordered, Ryan took his turn to speak up. "I'd like a float please, root beer. Make it the biggest size you've got!" Ryan said, getting a little over excited, like a child waiting in line to see his favorite cartoon character. "I'd also like to have the appetizer platter please, and I'd like some extra ranch to dip with please." Ryan asked exceedingly politely, and flashing a tender, childish smile that would melt a Nazi's cold dead heart. "Thank you so much!" Ryan said, smiling wide enough to make his eyes squint shut. After the waitress had left, Ryan pulled out the crayons from next to the napkin dispenser and began to draw on the back of his table mat. It was some cheap paper mat, but it served as a fantastic canvas for drawing things. Ryan drew whatever he could think of, and he did so with a degree of skill not often found in teenagers. He drew animals, buildings, faces of the people he'd met, even some he hadn't, even Laurynn and Cam. Finally, once he'd finished, Ryan looked up at Laurynn and smiled. "Thank you so much." Ryan said, flashing a huge grin. "It's awful nice of you to invite me to come with."

The waitress came and took the group's order after having been seated for a few minutes. Camilla cringed at the sheer enthusiasm that exuded from her pores--it was almost as if a cheerleader and motivational speaker had a child and put her on medication to keep her perpetually perky. It wasn't something that she enjoyed seeing from other people, especially during Armistice Day when they knew they were protected by any hot-shot hero that walked into the place, whether undercover or not. Still, nobody recognized her in her human form, so that was always something good... Either that or no one really cared all that much while they were eating their greasy food.

"And what would you like, ma'am?" the waitress asked the black-haired woman sitting across from the boy and the demon.

"Uh, nothing, please--I just ate and I'm feeling a bit sick right now, actually..." Camilla gave a slight frown as if to show emphasize her point. While she did not like doing so, she was capable of using manners and pleasantries when it suited her. This was one of those rare occasions, especially when mingling with people that she could not terrorize.

The waitress left and Ryan began to draw on the back of the tablemat with some crayons that he had found. While he and Eiseth were having a good time, Camilla was looking for any excuse to get out of this place. It was loud, obnoxious, and noisy, not to mention that the smell of the food was indeed beginning to mess with her stomach slightly.

"I'm going to look for the bathroom," Camilla announced quietly as she got up from the table and walked away. She made her way through the throngs of patrons, eventually getting lost in the din of the place. After a minute of walking, she eventually did find the bathroom and walked inside, moving to one of the stalls and locking the door behind her.

Now what? Camilla had made her way into the restroom with no problem, but how was she going to escape this place? There was always the toilet, but it was filled with water; she knew that despite it being the easiest to access, there was the danger that she would dissolve trying to escape. She sighed before spotting a small window looking out of the restaurant. Why anyone would think that it was a good idea to put a window there in the middle of a huge city was her guess, but it was better than trying to flush herself down a toilet that could potentially kill her.

Camilla inhaled deeply before feeling her skin melt away into a black tar-like substance. It felt overwhelmingly great to get out of her human form and into something more comfortable, at least according to her. With a quick 'glance' around--which was no more complicated than attempting to feel vibrations of people that would potentially walk into the restroom, to which there were none--Camilla deemed it safe to extend her new form up through this small window and to the outside.

The pile of goop landed in an alleyway; she was not surprised in the slightest, considering it was the big city. The question for her now was what to do with her freedom once again...
