The Academy.
It was said that the school, bathed in the soft orange light of dusk, was the most beautiful thing in the world.
It has numerous spires and towers, each with a glass dome for the astronomy class. The libraries are as full of magical scripts and books as you could imagine. There are more than twenty gardens in total at the Academy. They grow blue roses, and peach and apple trees. Many of them contain a fountain and pond; each having exactly four spotted fish.
Why four? No particular reason at all.

Enchantresses. Dragon tamers. Spellcasters. Mages.

They're not uncommon anymore. What used to be fairytales is now reality, as though straight from the pages of a book.

And naturally, in a world where magic runs wild, there are the gifted children. From a young age they find themselves causing flowers to bloom, people to float, and whispering to the animals. They are called Casters.
The children appear rarely, very few born every generation. And so they are treated carefully and then, at the age of ten, are sent to the Academy.

The Casters are trained to become elite fighters as the city's protectors, the king's personal guard, assassins, and teachers. But there's one special group set aside. These kids are the best of the best, academically and skill-wise. There are never more than twenty and never less than three in the group. They undergo vigorous training for three years more than the other students.

These Casters become the Elite, and are given the respect worthy to that of the king. Because the kids are trained specifically to fight and destroy one target. Their mission varies from group to group, though it's become a known fact that once a team of Elites goes out on their mission, they never return.
But the person they have been ordered to kill is dead and the place they are sent to destroy is obliterated. So where do they go?

They'll find out soon enough.

The Plot: You are already an Elite. This is your last day of training. This is what you've worked for: years of hard-earned respect and power. This is what it all leads up to. And then, your graduation, which is the most grand ceremony of all.
Your mission begins immediately after. Are you ready?



The Elites:

Drakan Knight: Dragon Tamer. (played by KillingDrakan)

The Students:


Dragon Tamers:

There are very few of this kind of Caster. They usually discover their affinity to beasts by attempting to speak to cats or dogs as children. When they are sent to the Academy they stand before young dragons. The students to successfully soothe a particular beast become the dragon's rider.
They ride and fight upon a dragon's back and speak with the dragon.




Mages (Spellwrites):

These powerful Casters have a wide range of abilities. They may deal with the elements (specializing in fire, water and ice, earth or wind). Or they can use more magical elements such as arcane or healing. Some choose to break off of casting to compose magical texts or potions.



The Enchanters:

Also called Summoners. This is the most common kind of Caster. They are able to summon anything and everything for short amounts of time. To be able to summon many things at once, they must have extreme focus and concentration. Only Elites may be able to Summon living creatures.
If this magic is used properly, it can also be the most deadly.




Druids & Priests:

Both devoutly religious. Priests use a divine power that glows golden and mainly heals allies and themselves. They can also be used to deal damage, however, most priests turn to a less violent path.
Druids believe in the power of nature. They are similar to Spellwrites in that sense, but use earthquakes, and small storms, lightning in their attacks.






Shapeshifters:

This is the rarest kind of Caster, simply because their magic is so dangerous to themselves. Many shifters die at a young age from an accidental shift or a mishap. So in official records, there are only twenty in attendance of the Academy.
Shifters are able to turn into any and all animals at will. Each time they shift, however, energy is taken from them. So if they're exhausted and flying, if they do not land in time, they will shift out and die. The larger the animal they shift into, the more energy they spend. They may stay in the animal form for as long as they can
