He knows that his father want's him to become normal, but it's been tough for Rudi to quit his habits. He hasn't just gotten into drugs, but he became a player as well. He doesn't really date anyone. ImageEmily sat in the passenger seat of the car, quietly looking out the window as they passed by buildings. She was in the car with her uncle who is chatting up a storm. It was her first day at her new school, and she'd never felt this nervous before. She sighed quietly and slouched down a little in her seat, it felt like everything was happening too fast. She hadn't even had time to mourn the loss of her parents properly the way she would have liked to and now she was being taken from the only house she had ever known and the only school she'd ever know to move in with family that she'd never met and to attend a school that she really didn't want to attend. Emily felt a single tear roll down her cheek but she wiped it away quickly as they pulled up to the school.

"Well here you are. Your cousin will be giving you a ride home, you both have lunch together as well as a few classes." Her uncle told her as he handed Emily her class schedule. "Thank you." Emily muttered taking the schedule from him and slipping out of the car before he could say another word. She walked into the school, seeing the hallways full of students, boys and girls, which is completely new to her, going to school with boys. She forced her attention down to her class schedule in her hands, knowing her locker number should be on it somewhere. She frowned a little as she looked over her schedule, trying to figure it out.

Rudi took a hit from the joint. He passed it to the guy next to him. There was no connection between the two of them. Just the fact that they wanted to get high before school. The joint circled around a few more times before it was done for. Rudi slowly moved away from the wall he was leaning against and left the area. He was behind the school gym with some other druggies like him. Not junkies, but just druggies. He looked around before making his way into the school where he mixed in with the crowd. He definitely stood out. People all around were talking about who he got with the other day and even the other month. Rudi had a smirk wipe over his face. He loved it when people said his name and shared his stories.

Rudi went to his locker where he kept a bottle of pills that he sold to some kids. When he opened his locker he noticed someone next to him. He had never seen this girl before. Maybe that was good news. Maybe there would be no consequences for him sleeping with her. Rudi closed his locker and turned to her, "I'm gonna guess you're new here." He peeked over the girl's shoulder and looked at her schedule. "Looks like you are in almost all my classes. If you want me to show you around I wouldn't mind at all. Maybe we could even hang out after school."

Emily glanced up, hearing a guy's voice. It took her a moment to realize he was talking to her, and when she did, she froze slightly, not sure what to say in return, having no experience talking to guys her age. She glanced back down at her schedule planning to just ignore him, but quickly realized that would rude, something she was never raised to be. "Um, y-yeah, I just transferred here." She said, her eyes glued to her schedule. It took her a moment to muster up the courage to look up at him once more. "And it would be nice, you showing me around, if you don't mind. I'm kind of lost." She admitted with a small laugh, a slight blush coloring her cheeks.

"Oh, and my name is Emily, by the way," Emily said, holding her schedule out to him so he could see it better without having to be so close to her. "But people just call me Em." She finished her introduction, biting her bottom lip nervously. This was her first time talking to a guy, and she had to admit he was rather cute, though there was a smell coming from him she couldn't quite figure out.

Rudi had to admit that he was lucky to meet this girl. He felt something different about her. Different then other girls. She seemed a little shy at first. Rudi also liked that little nickname she had. He put on a polite smile and responded accordingly. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Rudi," he said with a slight accent on his name. His eyes examined her. He saw Emily biting her lip. He could tell she was pretty nervous. As Rudi was about to keep making more observations the bell rang. "We should get to class before someone yells at us or gives us detention."

Rudi felt different when he talked to Emily. It was as if he was putting on a show and he was the actor. He never had acted in such a polite manner in a while. This really got him thinking. Maybe he had a good chance at scoring with this girl after school. Rudi shook the current thought and walked Emily to their first class.

ImageThe mention of detention made Em's eyes widen slightly, nodding her head quickly. "Yeah, lets go." She said, quickly following Rudi to their first class, which just happened to be calculus. The teachers had all been told of Emily and her sircumstances, so the teacher wasn't surprised to see her, though, she was rather surprised to see her walk into class with Rudi. "Ms. Cooper, your uncle has told me so much about you. I look forward to having you in my class." The teacher, Mrs. Rushing, said, giving Emily a kind smile. "Why don't you go have a seat behind your cousin." She said, motioning to an empty seat, wanting to get her away from the 'bad influence', unbeknownst to Emily. Em followed the direction she motioned and paled slightly seeing her cousin was in fact in this class. She knew they had a lot of classes together, but still hadn't prepared for seeing him in school.

Thomas Cooper was the golden boy of the school, quarter back of the football team, good grades, all around nice guy. Or at least that's what he wanted everyone to believe, he even kept up the facade at home, in front of his father, but when it was just Em around, he dropped the act. He'd made it very clear he didn't want her around, feeling as if she was encroaching on his territory, his father, his school. Emily opened her mouth a couple times as if to object, but of course she'd never talked back or argued with an adult, let alone a teacher, so with a quiet sigh she walked over and sat down in the seat behind her cousin. Their kinship was pretty obvious, both having dirty blonde hair and brown eyes, they could pass for siblings. Thomas didn't say a word to Emily, not even giving her a glance as he focused on the teacher and taking notes. Emily kept her head down, hoping the class would be over soon, and praying Thomas wouldn't be in her next class, just being around him put her on edge.

Rudi was not surprised the teacher made Emily sit away from him. Anytime he brought a girl into any class the teacher would always try to protect them. It upset him. He didn't mean any, but at the same time he did completely understand. Rudi took a seat on the other side of the room and slumped back in his chair. The hands on the clock spun around as he tried to pay some attention to the teacher. There was no reason for Rudi to be in Calculus if he was just going to fail. His grades weren't amazing, but they were at least passing grades.

ImageEmily sighed quietly as she closed her locker, running a hand through her hair. The first day at her new school had been pretty overwhelming, the curriculum wasn't a problem for her, it was much easier here than at her old school, it was the students that overwhelmed her. It seemed like everyone had tried to talk to her at least once today, and she'd heard people talking about her as she walked down the hall. She wasn't really sure how it had gotten out, more than likely her cousin, but the whole school seemed to know about the accident, why she was here, the fact that she was now an orphan. All the sympathetic looks were just too much.

Emily walked out of the school, just in time to see her cousin's mustang pull out of the parking lot and onto the road. She frowned deeply, knowing good and well his father had told him to give her a ride home. "I suppose I should have expected that." She muttered quietly, shoulders slumping, knowing her uncle lived a good 15 miles from the school. Em glanced around the parking lot uncertainly, not sure what to do. It would take her hours to walk back to her uncle's, most likely growing dark before she was even half way there.

Rudi opened his locker. Two kids approached him. He nodded and handed the both of the them some pulls in trade for a wad of money from each of them. He quickly shoved the money in his pocket and slammed his locker shut. Without any hesitation Rudi left the building and went out to the parking lot where he parked his crappy car. As he approached his car he saw Emily standing around. He then noticed her cousin. Everyone had found out that Emily was an orphan and had to move in with her uncle. He also found out that she never went to public school before. He waved his hand and shouted "Hey Em, over here!"

Rudi opened the car door and stood waiting for her with his arms resting on top of the open door. Rudi's eyes widened as he noticed there were some joints just sitting in his car. He quickly reached in and threw the small plastic bag of joints into the glove box. After that task was finished he then once again stood with his arms on the open door and waited.

ImageEmily glanced over, hearing someone shout to her. She was a little surprised to see Rudi, but smiled as she walked over to him. "Hey," She said, hugging her text books to her chest. She didn't have any homework, but liked to work ahead, she never really had much else to do and for some strange reason, she found school work soothing. Em glanced between Rudi and the opened car door for a moment before slipping into the passenger seat, resting the books on her lap. "Thank you," She said, looking up at him with a smile as she nervously fidgeted with her books. She'd heard a few things about Rudi during the day, mainly girls from their first class, trying to warn her after having seen her walk into the room with him. They'd told her Rudi was a player, he'd been with most, if not all, the girls in school. Though, luckily, Emily wasn't the type to just judge somebody based on what others told her, if she did, she'd think her cousin was this amazing guy, that he most certainly wasn't.

"Is there maybe a city bus or something? I mean, if my uncle's place is out of the way, maybe you could just drop me off at a bus stop." Em said, glancing at Rudi once he got in the car. That strange smell she'd noticed on Rudi that morning was much stronger in his car, but she had no idea what it was, never having been around any type of drugs before.

Rudi waited for Emily to get in and once she did he dropped down into the driver's seat and closed the door. The sun glared through the windshield. His hand blocked the sun from scorching his eyes. "I can drive you all the way home if you want me to. I don't mind going that far." With that said Rudi put the key in the ignition and started the car. He slowly rolled out of the parking lot and onto the road where he got up to speed. As he drove in what he assumed to be the right direction, he would glance at Emily ever so often to get a nice look. He had to admit to himself that he did find her attractive, but at the same time he felt awful. He knew what his plans were. To just hook up and leave her, but he felt bad for her because of the circumstance she is in currently with her uncle and cousin. A thought popped into his head, "I heard from some people that you never went to a public school before or even a school with guys before. Does that mean you've never even kissed a guy before?" Rudi knew his question was weak, but he thought he had a chance to be her first for a lot of things.

Emily nodded her head at his words about driving her home, quietly giving him directions, not sure if he knew where her uncle's house was or not. His question caught her off guard though, her cheeks flaming red as she bit her bottom lip. She glanced at him quickly before casting her eyes down on the books in her lap. "W-Well," She hesitated, not really sure if she should answer the question. Everyone at school knew she'd gone to an all girls' school before, but they didn't know she'd never even talked to a guy her own age until she started this school, and she wasn't sure she wanted everyone to know that she'd never even been kissed before. "No, no I haven't." She finally admitted quietly, her blush deepening as she kept her eyes on her books, too embarrassed to even look at Rudi.

Rudi glanced over at her after he heard her answer. He knew she was embarrassed. He felt a little awful for bringing that up, but he knew she didn't have to say no much longer. Rudi just concentrated on driving. He finally reached her uncle's house. He put the car in park and unbuckled himself. Without any exchange of words, Rudi got out and went over to the passenger side of the car where he opened the door and helped Emily out of the car. His eyes made slight contact with hers. He took the chance and wrapped his arms around her. He leaned in and locked his lips with hers. He knew that may have been a mistake. He didn't want to scare her off, but Rudi was afraid he just screwed up. After a second he stopped the kiss and stepped back, rubbing his hand on the back of his head. "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Rudi knew how to act that. To feel all sorry for doing such a crime to her. It's not the first time he made a move too soon, but he always got the girl in the end. He knew this would either be an invitation to her room or a stone cold goodbye. But thoughts of just being a normal couple with a girl ran through his head at the same time. He shook the thoughts.

ImageWhen they reached her uncle's place, she was surprised when Rudi walked around the car and helped her out, even more surprised when he leaned in and kissed her. Her eyes widened, not sure what to do, whether she should kiss him back or push him away. Rudi pulled back before Emily's surprised brain had a chance to decide. When he pulled away, she took a small step back, bumping into the car behind her, her books hugged tightly to her chest as if they could be some kind of shield. "I-I," She stammered slightly not sure what to say. "I have to go." She said, quickly rushing past him and into the house without looking back. As soon as the door closed behind her, she leaned back against it, her fingers brushing against her lips, her mind reeling from the fact that she'd just gotten her first kiss, and from a guy she'd only just met.

"I see you found your way," Thomas said begrudgingly as he walked through the hallway into the kitchen. Emily was pulled from her thoughts at her cousin's words. "I know you don't like me too much, but what would Uncle Tom think if he found out you left me at school like that?" She said, following her cousin into the kitchen. "And how would he find out?" Thomas asked, glancing at Emily over his shoulder, his eyes narrowed, shooting daggers at her. Emily frowned deeply. "Look, I don't know what your problem is with me, but I haven't done anything to you. It's not like I asked to move in here, or go to your school. I don't want to be here" She said, biting the inside of her cheek. "Good, then go away." Thomas said, as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge before walking past her and out of the kitchen, up to his room.

Rudi watched as Emily left him. He rolled his eyes before going to the other side of the car and getting in. He ran his hand through his hair before letting out a sigh. He drove home in the silence of his own car, left with just his thoughts. He knew he moved too quickly with Emily. Once back at the apartment, Rudi parked in his spot and went up the stairs to the apartment that he lived in with his father. His dad wasn't home. He was working late at his new job. It paid a good salary, but money was still tight. Once inside, Rudi shed his clothing and went to bed. He couldn't believe that Emily had just basically left him without any satisfaction to his actions. Rudy looked at himself in the floor mirror in his room. He was skinny, but not just bones. He had some muscles from going to the gym every so often. His own eyes went down to his centerpiece. Rudi thought about going nude if he was invited into Emily's room, but now he started to regret even thinking that.

ImageThe next morning, Emily woke up early, Thomas and her uncle were still sleeping, the sun hadn't even made it's appearance yet. She slipped out of bed and pulled on a pair of shorts and a tank top, before quickly slipping out of her room and down the stairs. She hesitated a the door, glancing over her shoulder toward the stairs, even from down here she could hear snoring, though she wasn't sure which it was that snored so loudly. Shaking her head, she opened the door and walked out into the predawn morning. Once on the sidewalk, she started running, enjoying the feel of the wind on her skin and the racing of her heart.

Emily hadn't really gotten much sleep the night before, tossing and turning in bed, not only over being in a new place, but the kiss she'd shared with Rudi kept popping into her mind, even when she didn't want it to. She still wasn't sure how she felt about the kiss or Rudi, knowing his reputation, the sudden kiss made her a little uneasy, but it had also felt good, really good, even though it only lasted a couple seconds. When she did manage to drift off to sleep, she'd dreamed about the kiss and what may have happened if she'd kissed him back instead of running into the house. Shaking her head quickly, Emily tried to shake those thoughts away, focusing instead on counting the number of times her feet hit the pavement. '158, 159, 160,' as she continued to run aimlessly down the sidewalk.

The alarm blared. Rudi's hand shot of from under his covers and smashed the snooze button. Rudi sat up in bed and stretched his arms. He got up and walked into the bathroom. The light didn't work. Rudi plugged in a little night light into the outlet under the light switch. The little light lit up a small corner of the cold, dark bathroom. His hand reached for the knob in the shower and he turned it, waiting for the water to heat up just enough to be bearable to stand under. Rudi stepped in and let the dirt from yesterday be washed from his skin. His eyes were shut almost the whole time he was in there. The only thing he thought about was Emily. He wanted to see her. With that in his mind Rudi turned the water off and dried off with a towel. He threw on some jeans and a white t-shirt before running out of the apartment and down to his car. He needed to see her. It may seem quite odd and even creepy, but Rudi wanted to get something done. He remembered the way to her uncle's house and drove all the way there. Once there, Rudi parked outside the house and just sat in his car, not sure if this was the best idea.

It was a while before Emily finally made her way back to her Uncle's house, the sweat was rolling off her as she rounded the corner and run up the sidewalk toward her Uncle's. She stopped in her tracks seeing Rudi's car parked outside of the house. As she got closer, she saw Rudi sitting inside, just sitting there. 'What is he doing?' She wondered, glancing from his car to the house which still looked like everyone was sleeping. After a moments hesitation, she walked over to Rudi's car, leaning down and knocking on the passenger side window. "What are you doing here?" She asked, leaning against the car as she ran a hand through her sweat dampened hair, her shirt was soaked through with sweat.

Rudi rolled the window and took one glance at Emily before almost choking on his on saliva. "I don't have your phone number so I had no way of getting in touch. Maybe I could show you around town or we could just hang out." His eyes were glued to her body. Rudi felt sort of creepy by just showing up at her house, but at the same time he didn't feel like a player. He was sort of lost in the moment. He shook his head and just focused back on the conversation between the two. "If you want you can go take a shower first so you're more comfortable instead of being all sweaty."

Emily hesitated a moment before slowly nodding her head. "Alright, just wait here. I'm gonna go get cleaned up." She said, straightening up and heading into the house. She heard someone moving around in the kitchen, but didn't go in to investigate. Instead she headed straight upstairs to her room, slipping into the bathroom that was attached to her room. She took a quick shower, before getting out and drying off. She slipped into her room with the towel wrapped around her, rummaging through her closet and dresser looking for something to wear. Twenty minutes later, she was dressed and made her way back downstairs, her damp hair pulled up into a pony tail. She heard voices in the kitchen and knew both her uncle and cousin were up now, but didn't stop to say anything as she walked out the door. "Alright, lets go." She said, slipping into the passenger side of Rudi's car, quickly buckling up.

Rudi smiled as she agreed to go. He sat in his car and twiddled his thumbs and listened to the radio as he waited for Emily. Once Emily came out, Jason unlocked the door, and waited for her to buckle up. He turned the engine on and pulled away from the house. As he was driving out of the neighborhood, Rudi looked over at Emily, "I don't know if you wanna hear this, but sorry about the kiss yesterday. I guess I thought something different then what you thought. I promise it won't happen again." Rudi smiled politely. He knew that was almost a complete lie. There was no way the no kiss in return and Emily leaving him would put him down. Rudi drove out on the highway and down to the mall. Once they reached the mall he pulled in to the parking lot and parked. He looked over at Emily "We can hang at the mall for a while if you want. After that we can do anything you want... anything."
