Personality: A kind and gentle person, he will help most people. Outside of battle, he is fun-loving and carefree. During battle, he becomes very serious and will protect those he views as friends.

Equipment: Metal shoulder pad, Metal gauntlets, Metal boots, and a pole arm axe.

Abilities: Knows basic medical skills, average cook and skilled with axes

Background: Grew up in a small town near a military outpost, He was forced to join upon becoming of age. He trained hard and mastered what he could in the camp and grew in strength during battles. He refused to follow his commanders orders blindly and was kicked out of the military. Since then, he simply traveled the land, exploring caves and ruins.

"Of course. God protects all of those who are willing to accept his help. Even that demon girl would have been welcome there if she had humbled herself."

Melody couldn't help but smile widely. She had never been inside a building before and Melody had a feeling that she was going to like this 'God' person. "Can I meet him? He seems really nice. Maybe he could help me find my pack!" She was hopping for a lot, she knew, but if he was anything like the knight - excuse me - like Alexis then he would be happy to help her.

Levint chuckled slightly at Melody's excitement. He was now walking besides the knight Alexis and could see Melody's smile and smiled as well. He really liked Melody. She was energetic, full of wonder and was willing to protect others. Melody had a good heart and he reached out and petted her lightly for a short while.

Alexis could not help but chuckle at Melody's comment. She was having a difficult time grasping the "God" concept.

"Well. that is hard to explain. God is not here in this World. He is far away. so far that we will never reach Him. He lives where you go after you die. That is when you will meet Him. But while you are here, He still looks after everyone, and rarely He will speak to someone. But if you choose to talk to him, He will always listen, even if you cannot see or hear Him. If you want His help, all you have to do is ask.

Melody leaned into Levint's touch appreciatively. It felt nice to be pet like that. Still, she kept her attention on Alexis.

"That kind of makes my head hurt. Do you mean my parents might be with him right now?"

"Don't worry. it makes my head hurt sometimes too. God is something that is beyond our understanding." Hearing her question, he hesitated before answering. True he had told her nothing of Heaven or Hell as of yet, but he would not give her false hope either. However she was very innocent, and there was no harm in letting her remain like that for now. "That is not for me to say. I am not the one who passes Judgment." Alexis answered carefully.

Finally, they came across the Church. It was not very impressive, it looked like the rest of the buildings along the road but for the small steeple on top. "Here we are. I hope that the priests are more hospitable than the locals."

Melody smiled at the thought that if her parents are dead, they might be with this God character. That's assuming that she ever had parents, anyways. She jumped down from Alexis' shoulder and stared at it.
"This is it? It seems like any other building." Still, it did interest her. "I wonder if the inside is any different from the food-storage."

Levint sighed in relief. Even if the church was simple, some food and rest would be nice. Even if they weren't given food, he had some rations he would be willing to share. He listened to Melody wonder how different it is on the inside and he walked up to the door and opened it for her and Alexis. "You wanna go inside Melody?"

Melody starred in thought. She believed she had wanted to but she's never gone through the front door of any place before. It kind of scared her. Eventually, she did walk inside, and she felt her jaw drop. It was incredible. So much larger than the food storage, and there were candles all around to light it up. It was amazing.

Levint watched her walk in and the shock of her seeing the inside of the church. I was a simple church compared to the larger city churches, but he smiled brightly. It reminded him of the church in his home town. He knelt down next to Melody and said "Would you believe me if i told you there were places even bigger than this? "

Listening to the two speak, he agreed with the man. "Far larger. I grew up in a monastery, and that building was a big as this whole town." Hanging his war hammers on his hips, Alexis took his helmet off for the first time that day "Wait here. I will only be a moment." Approaching one of the acolytes, he asked, "Excuse me, brother. I request sanctuary." As he spoke, he pulled a silver and black Iron Cross on a chain around his neck from beneath his armor, presenting it to the man.

Looking around, behind the knight, the man asked, "And what of your.... company?"

"They are under my protection. Any courtesy offered to me extends to them as well."

The man nodded curtly. "Let me go speak to the elders." the man said, turning away.

Melody couldn't do much else but stare it shock. They must have been crazy. Places bigger than this? A building as big as the town? It was all so new that all she could manage was "wow..."

That did sound nice. Levint had been in monasteries before but never one that big. The amount of work to maintain that large of a building must be tremendous. And if it's really as large as Alexis said, It must be very important. Looking down at Melody, he said "We will have to go see it. If it as big as he says, I bet it would be really fun to explore."

Hearing his companions say that they wanted to visit his "home" Alexis grew nervous. He still had nightmares of that place, and though he had no problem mentioning it in conversation, the thought of going back to the place that turned him into a tool for murder gave him chills. On top of that, even if he had a desire to return, he was definitely not welcome there anymore, and was fortunate that word of him had not yet reached these parts. Were that the case, he may have to worry about a blade opening a new hole to breath from while he slept. He may still serve the church's God, but he certainly did not serve the church.
After hesitating a moment, Alexis smiled and laughed, "My home? No, you don't want to see that old place. Nothing but a pile of stones. It may be large, but it is empty and holds no beauty."

Levint stopped walking and looked over at Alexis. For a holy man, a monastery would be more than what he described. But after what Alexis did for them, he didn't want to pry. Levint decided to change the subject. "Well," he began to say, "we can travel to my home town. It's not big but the people are friendly and it's remote. Most you have to deal with are some drunk guards at the tavern."

Melody's tail swayed behind her before she turned back to Levint. She was a little confused at his comment. "What's 'drunk' mean?" She supposed she heard that words once or twice, but she never understood what it meant.
