Krad groaned and played with the frequencies on the radio of the car he was sitting in. The car was a wreck, crashed into a building. But somehow the radio had survived in one piece, protected by both airbags and incredible good luck. Listening intently for any signs of life, Krad also kept an eye on the window and his hand on his gun. "I don't want anyone, no, anything sneaking up on me..." He muttered to himself, "I need to stop thinking of them as humans, it just makes it harder... "
The area was, fortunately, currently absent of anything dead. And apart from the occasional bird crying and the constant static of the radio there was no noise whatsoever. "...I suppose it's quite peaceful when there aren't any of the dead around, but then again it rarely ever isn't..."

"-ook, I-" Krad's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a crackled voice from the radio.

"Don't- -kn- -anyone can hear me-"

"So much for a well working radio" Krad hit the box and tried to focus the sound, but the voice was still almost too faint to hear.

"But- -you can- -I need a favour"

"Great, I only just found out someones alive and I'm already being asked to do a favour," Krad laughed despite the fact that either he or the person on the radio may be in mortal danger, "Tell me where you are, and I'll be there..."

Amora sharpened my spear by a shallow river as she waited for her water to purify. The rock against the metal made loud noises but were muted by the noise in the building. Geez. Amora thought. Who is making all that noise?
It was the the sound if things shifting and falling, the pattern sounded like a a human was doing it. Amora pondered whether she should tell them how loud they were being, they were scaring all the prey away. Making up her mind she slung her backpack and bow over her back with a throwing knife and spear in her hand. Quietly, in case it was an undead, she opened the door and stepped in, knife raised. In the corner Amora saw a girl rummaging threw the supplies. "Hello?" Amora called, rather distrustfully.

"I'm Amour, you're right, we should get out of here." Amora stuffs some stuff in her bag and freezes when she hears the devilish moans of undead, they were close. "Scratch that, we NEED to get out of here." she grabs the girls arm and pulls her out of the store. Amora quickly climbs to the roof and gestures for the girl to do the same. Then she scans the surroundings to see about ten zombies heading their way. As the girl gets up amora smears this green cream on her face, an apologetic look in her eyes.

Cole Stryph was standing beside his sister, who was currently crouching behind a building and peering around the corner. Her eyes were wide as she stared at whatever it was she happened to be seeing. Cole simply stood there, hoping she'd share it soon. Just as the thought crossed his mind, Abby turned and grinned at her sibling. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around his waist in a tight hug.

"There's people, Cole! Actual, real, alive, non-zombie people!" Abby whispered happily. She was having a hard time keeping her voice quiet, but she knew shouting was a dumb idea in a zombie infested town such as this. Cole glanced down at her and she looked up at him happily.

"Seriously! They're in the gas station. We have to go say hi!" Abby replied happily as if her brother had spoken. Cole gave her another look and Abby responded by releasing him and taking a step back. Her normally cheerful grin morphed into a frown.

"We are going to go over there, Cole! They're people, and we can't just leave them. Besides, safety in numbers, right?" Abby responded. She turned to peer around the corner again and let out a gasp.

"They're being attacked! We've gotta help, Cole. C'mon!" Abby cried. She took off, leaving Cole to chase after her wordlessly and in great annoyance. Why did she have to try and help everyone they met? So far she'd managed to get them betrayed more times then he could count by other survivors looking to do only that; survive. They didn't mind duping an innocent girl like Abby to do it, either. But Abby was his sister and she loved to help people, and he loved her. So Cole hefted his hammer and chased after the short girl running with the bat. It was going to be a long day...

Dranka just couldn’t believe what he was seeing, survivors coming out of the woodworks. After everything that’s happened in the past few months it just seemed too good to be true
Dranka had stationed himself on a low-lying building with a pair of binoculars, watching things play out. So far he’d seen six living people all converging around a gas station. Makes sense, food, shelter and fuel but by the simple fact that supplies are limited this situation could end in conflict. Hence why Dranka was up here rather then going in there himself.
He pulled out an packet of stale biscuits and prepared for the show

"HIYAH!" Abby yelled, swinging the bat. She had on a huge grin even as it made contact with a zombie head, splattering it. Blood splattered across the pavement as Abby turned to the next zombie, swinging wildly but with surprisingly accurate aim. After all, she'd had lots and lots of practice swatting zombies. She turned and swung the bat once more, letting out a giggle as another zombie went down.

"And another! We're gonna meet real people, Cole!" Abby sing singed as she continued fighting her way towards the gas station. Her brother was following her, smashing the zombies Abby missed. The two worked well as a team, almost fluidly. Each protected the other and bodies of zombies littered the ground around the duo. Abby pushed forward ambitiously, as Cole followed and tried to keep his sister safe.

"Heeyy! People!" Abby yelled, taking a moment to wave at those on the roof before returning to hitting the zombies surrounding her.

"Welcome tto our humble domain!" Amora waved down to the two people heading towards them and aimed her bow. She let go of the string and killed about five undead surrounding them, arrows right through their skulls. "Hurry up!" Kaylie yelled. "Yeah, and if you do come up here I hve to put this cream on your face!" Amora added.

"Nice to be here, thanks!" Abby called back. She let out a cheerful giggle just as she reached the gas station. She pressed her back against the wall and continued swinging. Not a moment later Cole was beside her. He spared a glance to Abby who grinned recklessly at him.

"Oh, don't be like that, Cole! This is fun!" Abby teased her brother. With Abby, Cole didn't actually have to speak. She understood him through glances, able to read the stoic boy like a book. Cole let out a soft sigh of exasperation at Abby's insistence on getting herself into extremely dangerous situations. It seemed to him like she almost enjoyed it when she was risking her life.

"Cream? Well, I have been needing a moisturizer like crazy! Be right there," Abby yelled back cheerfully. Cole moved to stand in front of Abby as she turned and reached for the roof of the gas station.

"Oh, right... Whoops," Abby lowered her voice to a much quieter one. She sent a guilty look at Cole who just shook his head. He was used to his sister's loud ways and how attracted zombies were to them. It was a wonder the pair was still alive with, but Abby was normally much quieter. She was only this loud when she was excited enough and she was only excited enough when they met new people. That wasn't something that happened too often and when it did... Well, there was a reason the two were still alone despite Abby's friendly ways.

Abby jumped, reaching desperately for the roof. However, she was a short thing and she fell back down. Abby let out a small hiss of pain but otherwise showed no sign of disappointment. Instead Abby simply jumped again and came back down to earth. With a sigh, Abby turned to Cole. Despite being twins, her brother was much taller.

"Uh, Cole, a tiny boost?" Abby asked with a little guilty grin. Cole back up to the wall and crouched as Abby swung bats at the oncoming zombies. She clambered onto his back, still swinging, and Cole stood. He took over fending off the zombies as she swing herself up onto the roof.

"Okey dokey, your turn! C'mon, we'll keep them off you, Cole," Abby called down to her younger brother. Cole glanced up for a moment before reaching up a hand to clutch the edge of the roof. He used his hammer to slam away the zombies around him, using one hand to pull himself up. A moment later he swung his leg over the roof and pulled himself up next to Abby. Immediately the shorter girl tackled her lanky brother in a tight hug.

"Hello!Cream!" Amora smeared thecream over the newcomers faces. "Yes, it smells horrible." She scanned the clearing for a way put and saw it. "Okay, can anyone jump really far or pole vault?"
In her mind the plan was to hop about three buildings aand then jump into the middle of the lake where they could, if they can, swim very far. Because it is deep and zombies sink/can't swim they would be safe. Unless undead use boats, that thought was scary.

Abby wriggled as cold cream was smeared across her face and her nose twitched. After a moment she opened her eyes, saw Cole covered in green goop, and burst out laughing. Cole simply rolled his eyes and turned away from his sister to head for where Kaylie was. He peered over the edge too, trying to judge whether or not Abby could survive a fall like that. His eyes flickered to Amora for a moment before returning to the gap.

"Oh! Cole could probably jump it. He's super tall, and he could carry one of us at a time if he has to!" Abby's voice piped up happily, volunteering her brother. Cole turned and gave her a look.

"Don't be like that, Cole. You could do it and you know it," Abby scolded Cole.

Cole simply sent the girl who'd dared question his speaking abilities a glare. One that was immediately interpreted by Abby and earned him a smack on the back of the head. Cole scowled, rubbing his head unhappily. It wasn't his fault if people were insufferably rude sometimes! Abby watched, with her mouth wide, as Kaylie first proceeded to leap off the edge of the building, then Amora vaulted after her. She giggled and crawled over to the edge to peer down at the two.

"That was awesome!" Abby whispered cheerily. Cole joined her in looking down at the two girls with a bored expression. Abby sat up and turned to look at her lanky twin. Cole met his shorter sister's gaze and let out a sigh before turning back towards the building.

"No, you go first, Cole! I'll be fine," Abby insisted. Cole sent her another look and Abby just grinned impishly back at him.

"Together then, yeah?" Abby compromised. She slipped her legs over the edge just as Cole did the same. Together the two released and fell to the ground, landing in a crouch position. Abby stood, stunned for a moment, before grinning and bouncing towards the two girls.

"That was fun! We should do it more often," Abby said. Cole moved to stand behind his sister, although it was more like he was standing over her. He kept his cold, expressionless gaze on Kaylie and Amora, analyzing them to see of they were going to pose a threat to his sister.

"Abby," Amora turned to the girl. "Yes?" Abby smiled. "Shut up, Kaylie doesn't want to hurt her leg more often." she tucked the pole back into her belt and turned to the guy. "You up for some luggage, avox?" She gestured to Kaylie. "Let's go, there's a boat over there that we can use."

he had followed their actions closely, watching their every move with much intent. really he knew they were experienced, or at least some of them were.
he decided he would introduce himself, they seem friendly enough. not now of course too much dead. he would have to follow them until safety is available for both the group and dranka himself

Abby simply smiled even as Amora told her to shut up. She didn't really care what she said to her, although Abby could feel Cole tense up behind her. Abby turned to smile cheerfully at her brother.

"It's okay, Cole, it was a stupid thing to ask," Abby admitted with a giggle. Cole still spared a scowl at Amora but relaxed a little. He wouldn't want to hurt one of Abby's 'friends' since they meant so much to her. Still, if any one of them hurt her he would have no hesitation and even Abby wouldn't be able to calm him down. As long as these two kept their hands off his sister, however, Cole found he had very little problem with them. They weren't idiots, which was saying something. Abby watched all this run through her brother's head and smiled. As long as he didn't mind them, she'd stay with the two. In her own way Abby protected Cole too, often leaving her companions if they got on Cole's nerves too often. It was usually why she did leave them, actually, or they left her and Cole.

"Oh, yeah, where are we going??" Abby asked excitedly, turning to the two girls.

"When the fuel runs out we'll use the sails and the people have fishing supplies." Amora picked up a fishing rod and cast it out into sea. She got some weird looks and she smiled. "I've been planning on running away."
Soon she got a bite and Amora yanked the line up, landing a plump, silver fish. "Seafood anyone?" she takes the fish into the bottom of the deck and comes back ten minutes later with cut up fish on a Dixie plate. "Okay, I think we should learn each other's names, I'm Armour." Amora popped a piece of fish into her mouth and handed the plate to Kaylie.

Odessa hefted the large crossbow into the air and rotated her body slamming the 6 inch spike into a near by car. The spike caved in the loader folded back in as Odessa set the cross back on its bottem letting the pistol grip go. The arms of the cross started to retract along with the pistol grip followed by the cord being drawn into the body of the cross. she reaches up pulling her necklace out of the “top” of the cross bow and strings it around her neck. Walking around the cross as it slowly returns to its original shape. She turns her gaze from the horde of zombie she just drew away from the survivors, looking to the small group. She let out a small sigh as if it was her last day, she lifted her large bag hanging it over the “neck” of the cross grabbing the leather strap pulling it back out. A thought crossed her mind as she prepared herself for the grave, “maybe this will be the group to live” she whispered to herself her sad eyes returning as memories washed over her. She spun around a new determined look on her lovely, yet dirty face. She hefted the cross up on her back leaning over more than needed and pulled the cross up father setting her head behind the left arm. She moved allowing her heavy bag to spin around and dangle in front of her as a counter weight. She took a deep breath breath putting her life in the power in charge and started to run as fast as her small mature body could go. her frail looking arms griping the cross arms keeping it from hitting her in the face.

“this is stupid,” she yelled out to herself “what am I doing? Trusting these strangers” she let out a rather adorable squeak when the cross made contact with the wall of the dead. The swatch that she had cut was her only way through, and it was closing quickly. She started to run harder heavy boots coming down on rotted flesh and brittle bones as she climbed over the line of corpses made by her shot. She ran as fast as she could eyes shut plowing through the undead, little did she know her spur of the moment choice was a smart one. Those watching her would see undead reach for her body but quickle knocked away by the crosses arms. Every now and then the cross would hit that sweet spot snapping the arms of the dead in half. She opened her eyes as soon as she broke through the back end of the horde and lost all hop for infront of her was the one thing keeping the group safe. A wooden fence between her and what she was thinking would be safty. She quickly took in the fence and saw a glimmer of hope, a small patch of fence that looked weak. She changed corse angling directly toward the group of survivors and ducked her head charging the fence. The cross made contact with the wall sending a shock wave of pain through her body. The fence gave into the crosses momentum shattering, hearing the wood snap Odessa saw the light of hope. She rand as fast as she could trying her best to hop the shattered wood catching the tip of her boot on a plank.

She fell to the ground with a loud yelp, her body her bag and her cross slid, rolled and tumbled into a heep just ten feet from the group, at the end of the dock. She was out cold she had struck her head and went out like a light. Her life, her proud life of helping those struggling to survive in this hell hole of a world was in the hands of complete strangers………..was this the right choice to make on her part. Live or die, was no longer in her hands…..turn the page.
