On the way home from a won war in Iraq, a bunch of soldiers are crossing a bridge in about four trucks. But when they find out that the police have blocked off the ending to the bridge, they are concerned. Their commander gets out and asks a wounded officer what was going on, but the officer got up, and tried to eat him. Now the military has clearence to blow the bridge. The infection has reached. C-4 was planted at the foot of the bridge, and has now been triggered, and the bridge was going under. Two soldiers, a man and a woman, who have been friends when they met each other at the academy, have to help the other and civillians get out of the water and into safety. Because the water has damaged their weapons and dampened their supplies, they have nothing. The government has orders to shoot on sight, and they will. Survive the government, and survive the infection
