Margeaux is an opportunist at heart. She keeps her eyes and ears open gaining whatever knowledge and information she can in order to use it towards her own best interests. Margeaux is not above manipulation, subtle or other wise to get whatever it is she wants. Unaccustomed to hearing the word no, Margeaux can be quite formidable when denied and will never take no for an answer.
The petite sixteen year old may seem small and nonthreatening but Margeaux will not hesitate to use force when necessary although it is usually her last option. Stronger and quicker than she looks, Margeaux likes to lull people into a false sense of security only showing her true colors when it's least expected. Selfish, money-hungry and obsessed with status, Margeaux does whatever it takes to succeed up to and including breaking the law.
In her quest to remain seen as influential and affluent Margeaux had taken to running schemes showcasing her ingenuity and need to take risks. Though that's not to say that Margeaux has no redeeming characteristics, the blonde is always quick to laugh and make a joke, though is aware when seriousness is required. On top of being resourceful she can also be quite loyal to the people closest to her and is always quick to defend the ones she cares about no matter the consequences.

Margeaux is the first and only born of Francois and Delphine Mercier, heirs to a thriving merchant enterprise. If you needed something exotic or on the down low the Mercier’s were the ones who got it for you. Though their practices were questionable the family was always able to provide adequate documentation for the services they provided, where they obtained these from is anyone’s guess.
Due to their success before and after the disaster that nearly wiped out humanity the Mercier’s had always resided in the Sectorum where Margeaux was born and raised. Living among the elite definitely had an impact upon them with every subsequent generation striving to be bigger, better and more profitable than the last culminating in Francois and Delphine’s large risks to maintain their opulent lifestyle.
When Margeaux was nearly twelve her family ran afoul with the ruling mobsters. Soon their cash flow was nil and it took everything they had to hold on to their station in the Sectorum. This prompted Margeaux to take matters into her own hands and instead of being seen in last year’s old clothes and receiving pitying stares she took to shoplifting. She maintained the appearance of a well to do young lady of the Sectorum and soon developed schemes that resulted in actual money being in her pocket. All it took were sad eyes and lax return policies.
With her family in debt to the mafia Margeaux began to takes risk that would normally be unheard of. She was blatant in her theft and by her sixteenth birthday it was only a matter of time before she’d be caught and when she was it changed the fate of the Mercier family forever. When she was caught at a high end boutique for the umpteenth time trying to shoplift Margeaux was thoroughly investigated by the authorities as were her parents. Of course when her parent’s shady business dealings came to light and they had no capital to bail themselves out of their mess they were sentenced to death. A sentence that had been swiftly dealt with Margeaux being told that along with being a felonious orphan she would also be on her way to Earth.
