::Elf::

Slightly shorter than the average human, elves are also noticeably more slender and graceful, handsome and beautiful averaging between 4½ to 5½ feet and 95 to 135 pounds. Males are slightly more muscular on average, there is little difference in height between the sexes, and neither sex grows facial, nor body hair. Their features in general may be described as more angular and defined; including long, pointed ears and wide, almond-shaped eyes. Most elves have fair skin and dark hair, though this is no more true of all elves than it is of humans. They have a reputation for careful grooming, more so than perhaps any other race. This frequently extends to their clothing, which is luxurious and well-kept, though not to the point of impracticality.

Elves do not sleep as most other creatures do, instead falling into a four-hour restful trance. Consequently, elves are unaffected by sleep-inducing spells and effects, and are able to remain active far longer than other races.

Elves also do not age as other creatures; their physical appearances remain constant from achieving physical maturity to death. Elves do grow physically weaker and mentally stronger as they grow older, and accumulate a "glow" from the strength of their souls as they age.

::Sub-Race::
::Wood Elf::
The most reclusive of all the elves, the wild elves pride themselves on their isolation and skill at keeping hidden. Their skin tends to be bronze colored skin; gold, black, or green eyes; and gold, blond, black, or (rarely) red hair, lightens with age.

Has small ruby sphere at the middle of the collar and a larger oval shaped gemstone of the same color in the middle of the chest as a chest piece. Covering the biceps and thighs are parallel horizontal strips of overlapping metal. The forearms and fists are blanketed in a solid sheet of metal, gauntlet. The front of the knee down the shins, are elaborate single pieces of armor, greaves. Sabtons covering the feet are in horizontal strips of over lapping metal.

:: Foster Dragon:: For a fostered dragon wyrmling, Ivelios has a Golden dragon. Gold dragons are, dedicated foes of evil and foul play. They often embark upon self-appointed crusades to promote good. Woe to the evil-doer who earns a gold dragon's wrath. The dragon will not rest until the malefactor has been defeated and either slain or brought to justice. Gold dragons do not settle for anything less than complete victory over evil.

A gold dragon usually assumes human or animal guise even within it's own lair. Gold dragons can live anywhere, but they prefer secluded lairs. Favorites of these highly intelligent beasts include the bttoms of lakes, high plateaus, islands and deep gorges. A gold dragon's lair is always made of stone, with numerous chambers, all beautifully decorated. The lair usually has loyal guards: animals relevant to the terrain Giants or good aligned elementals.

A gold dragon in its true form is easily recognized by its large, twin horns that are smooth and metallic, twin neck frills and the whiskers around its mouth that look like the barbels of catfish. Gold wyrmlings lack these whiskers, but they quickly develop them as they mature. Younger dragons have eight whiskers, four on the the upper jaw and four below. The older the dragon, the more they have.

A gold dragon has a short face with spines above the nostrils. The eyes are slanted an very narrow. Along with the whiskers, the eyes give the dragon a sagacious look. As the dragon ages, its pupils fade until the eyes are molten pools of gold. The dragon has a long, pointed tongue, back swept tendrils on the lower jaws that develop into frills with age and cheek horns that jut out sideways.

On hatching, a gold dragon's scales are dark yellow with metallic flecks. The flecks get larger as the dragon matures until, at the adult stage, the scales grow completely golden. A golden dragon smells of saffron and incense. It has an extremely long tail and broad mantalike wings that run all the way to the tip of the tail. When at rest, the dragon closes its wings over its back like a massive golden moth. It folds its wings back as it walks or runs.

A gold dragon flies with a distinctive rippling motion, almost as if it were swimming through the air. Most of the time, a gold dragon will spend its time in an assumed form, usually that of a nondescript human r harmless animal common to the area in which the dragon resides. For gold dragons, they tend to assume various domestic animals or creatures that are fairly nonthreatening, but generally are swift moving like cats, dogs, horses or eagles. This is because it allows the larger-than-life beast to interact without bring too much unwanted or undue attention to itself. However when traveling in particularly hostile environments, they chose particularly nonthreatening forms. This is to set at ease fellow travelers but also to bait itself for any evildoers that would attack.

::Summon Dragon:: As a Dracolyte, Ivelios Is capable of summoning a fully matured dragon only in dire situations. This is a responsibility, not a given choice. Both dragon and Dracolyte must uphold their end of the bargain; if ever in dire need a dragon will come to his aid.

History

Ivelios was born into a tribe of woodland elves that worshiped the metallic dragons. This tribe was given a great responsibility: to devote one of their own the rigors of training him to be a Dracolyte so that one day, he or she may rise from the lair of their deity and preserve all that they know and love. Their very way of life hung on the shoulders of these incredibly gifted individuals. This time honored procession continued through the ages through the great and wise insight of an ancient Golden Dragon named Azyunken-vanzan. Miraculously, his interpretation of the very stars led him to believe that a great change was to occur--two hundred years later.

This fostered his belief that, rather than wait for a Dracoyte disciple to be born--he would take an already born wood elf of the tribe under his direct tutelage. Thus, Ivelios was chosen to be such a hero. Not because he was particularly brave or strong--but rather, had the qualities of a hero inherent in him; honesty, courtesy, honor, and pride in making things better than what they were without making them more complicated. Though he knew his disciple would be apart of something drastic and dire, he and the rest of the dragons agreed that this was their champion. He would become a Dracolyte. Not one born, but one fashioned in a timely manner (for a dragon anyways).

Ivelios has yet to partake in the hatchling coronation, where a dragon must chose its Dracolyte and accompany him on his travels and through his perils. However, one adult Silver Dragon was given to him to summon to his aid should he truly need it. Lothirlondonis. She was an exceptionally beautiful dragon, and she had a curiosity about Iveilos since watching him from birth until he became a mature adult elf and because of that relationship--has become good friends over the past two hundred years with him. Now as he prepares to set out for whatever may guide him towards his destiny, she walks right behind.

So begins...
