โŒˆH A I RโŒ‹
Her hair is a bit of a puzzle, some would compare it to a skunk, others to the sun and moon. Half of Yuuki's head is a startling snowy white, it is short and wavy with blunt bangs that fall over her eyes. The other half is raven black, cut in the same style. This odd appearance is a rare genetic trait uncommon in humans known as chimerism; it means that rather than one set of DNA, Yuuki posses two.

โŒˆE Y E SโŒ‹
Yuuki's eyes are just as unique as her hair. One eye is as a warm chocolaty brown that reflects the world around her, it always appears to be gentle and soft. The other eye is the opposite, a deep, hard purple that some claim to drown in. This eye seems to confuse her enemies, although Yui isn't exactly sure why.

โŒˆS K I NโŒ‹
Yuuki's skin is of the fair variety, she is not as pale as snow, but is not overly tan either.

โŒˆH E I G H TโŒ‹
An unassuming 5'3, Yui unfortunately did not inherit the great height of her father, but rather the soft, elegant, feminine frame of her mother.

โŒˆW E I G H TโŒ‹
Hardly 47 kgs, some believe that Yuuki is too skinny although she was blessed with a wealthy sized bust.

โŒˆB O D YXT Y P EโŒ‹
Yuuki has a feminine figure with curves that swoop in all the right places. Her brother's used to make fun of her and say that she looked like a child and this made Yuuki a bit self conscious despite the fact that her body is anything but. She is quite short though and this reflects in her makeup, although her fingers and toes ended up being rather long and skinny. Her parents used to refer to them as "monkey toes" because Yuuki would pick things up with her feet rather then bend over to grab what she dropped with her hands. She does have a few of the typical Dhampir traits such as slightly pointed fangs that are just sharp enough to shred through skin and nails that are naturally pointed, but they are not as prominent as a regular vampire.

โŒˆB O D YXM A R K I N G SโŒ‹
Yuuki has been branded on her right wrist. It is the symbol ๅฅด้šท for slave, but you cannot see it because Yuuki wears a bandage over it. Aside from the brand she has a healthy amount of childhood scars from misadventures with her older brothers and accidents in the kitchen, as well as a few from being whipped for what the Imube described as "instilling respect."

โŒˆU N I Q U EX F EA T U R E SโŒ‹
Her face is unique in itself; she is not your typical pretty; exotic would be the most accurate way to describe it. As far as her clothing style goes, Yuuki enjoys wearing simple, free flowing articles like hakama and kimono.

Potential Interest: TBA

โŒˆS K I L L SโŒ‹
โ€ก Archery || This is something Yuuki picked up from her older brothers. She was watching them shoot homemade targets in the garden and had taken a keen interest in the long bow the eldest was using. It took a lot of begging, but eventually he allowed Yuuki to use it and she loved it so much that she kept up with the weapon. This skill has proven to be especially useful since the war broke out.
โ€ก Ikebana || Also known as kado or the way of the flower. Ikebana is more then just arranging bouquets, it brings together discipline, nature, and humanity to create a blend of perfect aesthetic and structure. Unlike most flower arranging types, Ikebana focuses on the stems, petals, and overall shape of the bouquet.
โ€ก Martial Arts || Her second most useful ability, Yuuki's parents always thought it was imperative that she knew how to defend herself in case anyone ever attacked or the war became worse. Thankfully her parents were right to instill this skill into the girl as she has had to use it more than once.

โŒˆA B I L I T I E SโŒ‹
โ˜… Body Language || Yui learned how to read body language at a young age and can tell when you're lying to her.
โ˜… Hiding || She is unofficially world's best hide and seek player.
โ˜… Healing || This is the only ability that Yui knows she possesses. It isn't anything magnificent and the bigger the wound the longer it takes to heal. However, it is faster then regular human mending and is quite useful for minor injuries.

โŒˆS T R E N G T H SโŒ‹
แƒฆ Fearless || She isn't really fearless, in fact most of her worst fears have already come true, which is why she can face most challenges with a strategic and calm mind. Yuuki has the amazing ability that she can recognize reality from illusion even in the most dire of situations and separate the two.
แƒฆ Lie Detection || Yui picked up this skill at home when she was trying to tell if her brother stole her hair pin. It isn't a super power, but rather the art of reading body language.
แƒฆ Determination || Yuuki is fiercely determined to complete her goal.

โŒˆW E A K N E S S E SโŒ‹
ฮจ Stubborn || Once her mind is made up, she will not change it for anyone or anything. Her family used to joke that this was a trait she inherited from her Grandmother who was known to be quite bull headed.
ฮจ Scars || There is a certain scar on her back that if you touch causes her great pain. Yuuki obtained the scar on the same night her family was slaughtered. She believes the mark is her burden that will never be lifted and knows that the only way to cure this unimaginable pain is by avenging the death of her parents and three older brothers.
ฮจ Isolation || It is her greatest weakness. Yuuki hates to be alone, whether it is for a few minutes or a few hours. She isn't sure where this stems from, but Yuuki knows that her greatest fear is that she will one day end up by herself.

|| Bold โ€  Stubborn โ€  Strategic โ€  Kind Heart โ€  Careful ||

Yuuki Hana, flower that blossoms in the snow; her parents named her this because they believed that even in the dead of winter, something beautiful could bloom. Much like the determination of snow flowers, Yuuki strives to stay alive and to complete her goal which is to avenge the death of her family. She is as stubborn as a mule and is often compared to her late grandmother who would never change her mind once it was made up. Similarly, Yuuki also tends to be a bit daring and quite bold for a woman in feudal Japan. She does take the occasional risk and will always speak her mind, but Yuuki also tends to be very calculating.

Every move she makes she has been thought over as well as accounted for, whether it is the way she pours sake or bows to characters of higher status. Yui has always been careful, growing up with three older mischievous brothers has taught Yuuki to watch her back at every turn. Some would say it even borders on paranoia, but unfortunately in a world where humans are seen as food, this is the way she has to live. That doesn't mean Yui doesn't know how to have fun, in fact she can let loose and become quite care free at times. However in order to get Yui to let her guard down you need a bit of alcohol and a lot of coaxing. Her trust does not come easily and if you break it Yui will never place her faith in you again.

Yuuki's worst fear is to end up alone. After the death of her family she was isolated from any interaction for nearly two weeks and it drove Yui insane. From then on she decided that she never wanted to be alone again. Similarly she is also terrified of what lurks in the dark. The blackness itself does not bug her, in fact she finds comfort in the silence and blanket of shadows; although the creatures that reside at the edges of that very same dusk frighten her to no end.

โŒˆH I S T O R YโŒ‹
The Hana family, a proud breed of noble humans with an impressive the pedigree that ruled a town where vampires and humans lived in relative peace. This household consisted of an odd bunch, the father Ayumi was a human man with little patience, but held a large place in his heart for his family. The mother, Chikako a vampire of few words married Ayumi at a young age and gave birth to three rambunctious and utterly human sons Kotsuo, Masaru, and Ryuu. It wasn't until a few years after Ryuu was born that Chikako bore one more child, this one female. The girl, however, had been gifted with two sets of DNA, one vampire and one human giving her an odd look and a few distinct dhampir traits; because of this her parents feared she would be fragile and did not allow the girl to do much outside of their home. For a long time Yuuki's existence was kept secret from the people the Hana family ruled for the concern that citizens would revolt against the existence of such a creature.

Fortunately the paranoia did not last long and eventually the girl was allowed to venture into town with her older brother's. People were curious, but there was much respect for the Hana family and they held their tongues in front of the young one. Behind the Noble's backs, however, fear of the unknown began to take over. What if the girl gave into her vampiric tendencies? What if she and her mother suddenly turned on the whole town? The war was growing worse and the humans were beginning to fear their vampire neighbors. It was these same humans that revolted and overthrew the Hana family, they executed Ayumi as a traitor against humanity as well as the Masaru and Ryuu (Kotsou had been missing for quite sometime, he had left to visit a neighboring town and never returned home). Chikako was killed in her sleep and Yuuki was condemned to a life of servitude for the human family that took the Hana's place.

Nearly two years later Yuuki exacted revenge and poisoned the Imube clan. She retook her family home and is attempting to rebuild the trust between vampires and humans. Currently Yuuki allows strays to reside in her manor in exchange for menial labor like cooking dinner or helping to upkeep the grounds. Yuuki has hope that even a dhampir like her can help dissolve the rift between species. She would also like to learn what became of her eldest brother, but knows that there are more pressing matters at hand.

So begins...

Crimson, it was splattered across the stones in the garden of the Hana estate, an open mouth and wide eyes hanging in a silent plea for mercy. The kimono the head of the house had donned for the ceremony later today was now ruined, splattered with blood that did not belong to her. There was a scratch on her face from the fight, a minuscule infliction that had already begun to heal. The Dhampir stood tall in front of the corpse, her posture unshaken, her expression grim. She turned towards the few humans who remained that had attempted to invade her home in the false name of the people's interest and stated in a bold tone "Let this be a warning," she raised the katana in her hands and sliced it in an arc across the air before sheathing it and handing it to one of the guard's. "The Hana family will not tolerate hostility towards its people; whether vampire or human." Heads nodded slowly, fear written across the faces of the men who were now kneeling in the garden.

"Hana-Sama, how should we dispose of them?"

"Banishment is the only punishment I see fit for these tyrants." More cries came from the shaken mouths of the terrified humans. They had come prepared to kill, loot, and raid, but not to die. "Get them out of my sight," two vampire residents that had taken shelter on the Hana estate ran forward, they had been acting as maidservants since they had arrived although Yuuki had explained to them that they were guests. She had minimal staff and it was only to protect the refugees from those who sought destruction. Regardless one of these vampires led Yuuki back to her room, the other went to fetch hot water in order to clean off the blood. Once the wooden doors slid shut and the Dhampir was alone, she began to shake. Her eyes widened as her knees gave out and she collapsed onto the freshly made futon on the floor. Her whole body heaved, tears beginning to blur her brown and purple eyes, swirling down her cheeks and touching the blankets below her. Yuuki hated violence, she hated having to kill for the sake of keeping those she loved safe. Why did humans have to act in such a brutal manner?

She made note to stop by the family of the man she had killed on her way out of town today as surely the wife and child had been victim's of this human's twisted opinions. A soft knock came from the door and Yuuki sat up, straightening her twisted obi and pulling the flower clip out of her black and white hair. "Come in," the Dhampir said, clearing her throat as the vampires returned, carrying a large tub of hot water. Yuuki smiled gently and stood, opening up the door the rest of the way for them so that they might set the bucket down without spilling. "I could have simply gone to the bath you know?"

"No Hana-Sama!" The one with long black hair stated sternly"You saved us from them, let us take care of you." Yuuki sighed, clearly they were not going to allow her to refuse. The Dhampir undid the obi and pulled off her socks, allowing the kimono to slip from her shoulders. They washed her down quickly, but gently and then left to allow Yuuki to dress herself. The only other kimono fancy enough for the occasion of the signing of the peace treaty was the one that had belonged to her mother. It was an intricate and none traditional blue silk cloth with a red obi and flower headband.

The time to leave had arrived; Yuuki pulled out her long bow case and quiver and slung it over her shoulder, taking a deep breath in. She held her head high, brushed her hair out of her eyes and strode from the room, slipping her feet into her sandals as she stepped onto the walkway. "I leave Hoshii in charge," Yuuki stated as she went, the residents of her estate lining up and bowing as one would when addressing their master. "Yes Hana-Sama."

The human accompanying her on the journey went by the name of Sakura Asano. Yuuki could feel the displeasure rolling off of the woman in waves and wondered what she had ever done besides exist to earn this being's distaste. The sight of the Southern Gates of the Minamoto residence brought a bit of ease to her mind; they had arrived without any disturbances. According to her adviser, the man who stood before them now was Tatsuhiro Minamoto, husband to Rika.

"I am Hana Yuuki," she bowed respectfully. Yuuki had brought along her weapon, which at the time had seemed like a necessity; it was not a safe journey from her lands to here and she hoped that the presence of such tools would not offend him. "It is an honor to have been invited for such an occasion."

The air was damp outside. There was no sun to be traced and no lingering sunset would befall when near should near. No. Even the gods would not shine the glorious sun on this day. The clan leader, Sawako, laid sickly in bed as everyone in the village prayed for her well being. The gods have not been kind recently and have made no effort in improving the leaders health. Tamaki, the leaders youngest brother, doesn't believe that she will pull out of her ill fate though others, like Hideyoshi, believe she will get better because the leader could not die of such a small thing like sickness.

"How do you feel? Better I'm hoping." The shลji slid open and Hideyoshi entered the room with a traditional Japanese tea set balanced on his right forearm. Tamaki was one step behind him as he was making sure the stubborn boy, who wanted to do everything by himself despite his handicap, wouldn't fall or spill the tea. The young boy caught site of the silver-haired beauty, Sawako, who had moved out of bed and was now sitting by the window. She turned her head and smiled warmly but...weakly. "Yoshi, what are you doing, silly boy. You didn't have to bring the tea yourself, you could of had Tamaki-kun do it." The woman's smile formed into small laughter as she was so happy her beloved child would go out of his way to do something for her. It was a warming feeling that she could never get used to. It was the recognition of love from Hideyoshi that she yearned for. How it felt so warm to be recognized as a mother to him. The light brunette smiled back though his balance wavered at that moment but, luckily, Tamaki caught the boy's balance for him just in time. "Here. I got the tea, go sit by Sawako-sama." The older man took the tea set from the younger boy and urged him to walk on. "Your leaving soon, are you not?" Hideyoshi nodded his head as he sat beside the ill leader. Sawako pulled the boy in closer as she let his head rest on her chest and soothed his hair out with her hand. "Oh my good luck charm, I know you will make the right decision for our clan but don't let the villages past or your past guide your judgement." Hideyoshi closed his eyes as he lifted his hand to touch the pristine, gentle hand of Sawako. Before he could speak, his mind wandered as he was enchanted by the comfort and smell of his loving guardian. Her voice was as sweet as honey and her gaze was just enchanting, the way her eyes looked like two bloody crescent moons. "I will not allow any of that to cloud my judgement." A laugh escaped Sawako's lips as a smile painted itself across her face. "Easier said than done, my boy." A mere mutter drew from her soft lips.

What was he going to do? Hideyoshi had heard about the Minamoto's being a very generous and protective bunch who didn't attack the humans who lived under them but then again, he was very doubtful. A vampire who protected humans was just so alien and unheard of to him though he was in no position to deem the stories as lies. He was headed over to try and form a peace treaty among vampires and humans, after all.

Hideyoshi glanced over at the man who had accompanied him for the journey. All he was aware of was that the man's name was Ryogi Koyanagi. The ox-drawn carriage slowly came to a stop and soon the door was opened by one of the servants. Hideyoshi was helped out which he gladly returned with a smile to the lowly servant. The boy was wearing a dark blue hakama, with a blue kimono that held a lovely pattern on the inside, and a haori with a intricate flower-based design. His sash was tied tightly around his waist, so as to prevent his haori or kimono from drifting off his left shoulder. As anyone could see, there was nothing to keep it held up though the fabric on his left side was cut a bit so the weight would be lessened and the chance of it falling was lessened as well.

The one waiting to greet them was Tatsuhiro Minamoto, also known as Rika Minamoto's husband. Hideyoshi saw the other human representative had already arrived. It was Hana Yuuki, if he had remembered correctly from what Tamaki had told him. Hideyoshi stepped up to introduce himself. "I am Akahoshi Hideyoshi, nice to make your acquaintance." He bowed in a respectable manner though once he pulled his body up again, he could feel the cloth sliding down his left shoulder. Annoyed by the fabric, Hideyoshi pulled it up more over his shoulder. "Thank you for the invitation." He put on one of his best and approachable smiles though really he just wanted to get this done and over with. Frankly, he wasn't ecstatic by the fact he was standing so close to a vampire. He hadn't been near one in a long time but the presence still frightened him to an extent.

Asano-san and Tatsuhiro-sans rivalry was very apparent. It was almost amusing how they glared at each other and made passive aggressive remarks as if it were normal. Yuuki unfolded her fan to hide the smile that was creeping up onto her cherry red lips; their banter reminding her of bickering siblings.

"There is no need for formalities, Yuuki-san. And we are honored that you would accept our summons as you have. You have no need of fear from us, Hideyoshi-san, Yuuki-san. All who are under our banner will not harm you, and those who have agreed to this armistice have also sworn not to harm humans for as long as the meeting conduces the original purpose." A human, so that's what they believed she was? Yuuki would see no point in correcting Minamoto-san as she was half human and so he was almost correct. It did pique her interest as to why Asano-san seemed to harbor such hate towards the female if she believed she was human as well? Perhaps Asasno-san was simply dreading having to negotiate a peace treaty, or Yuuki had misinterpreted the emotions rolling off of her?

A smile tickled her lips once more as Tatsuhiro and the other human male, the one whose name escaped her mind, began the familiar chat of friends reuniting after a long journey. She and her brothers used to interact that way when they would go into town or travel to neighboring villages and return with little trinkets like carved dolls or wooden arrows and stories of unfamiliar lands. An unexpected pang of nostalgia resounded in her chest and slowly Yuuki's smile faded. "We are not here for personal affairs, Ryogi-san. If all is well, I will discuss them with you after the meeting has been adjourned, but now is not the time. If you'll pardon me, Yuuki-san, Hideyoshi-san, is there anything we can provide for you at the moment? Your journey was a long one, and we would see you rested before hand. If you'd like, Rika is attending to the others, and would have you all meet before the meeting. If there is nothing more you need, we are all expected in the quarter room,"

Yuuki shook her head slightly and looked up at the vampire before lowering her fan. "The only thing I could use right now is a cup of jasmine tea." She replied honestly, having rested in the carriage on the way here. "I very much look forward to meeting the other honored guests." Yuuki turned towards the other human male, suddenly aware that he only had one arm and making sure to keep her gaze on his face. She really knew nothing of the people who were going to attend this meeting as Yuuki had been very sheltered from the world when she was a child and upon her time working as a slave it was forbidden for her to be in the room when the Heads of the household were discussing politics. It was only thanks to her recent adviser that she knew a bit about the Minamoto's and the names of the other guests attending. Yuuki hoped this ignorance would not be apparent when they met in the quarter room.

"What about you Hideyoshi-san?"
