A formally dressed man stepped through the large doors, standing at attention. The low lighting of the room made almost every facial feature hard to discern from the darkness. A simple lamp was light above the doorway the man entered, the light barely reaching the oak desk. "Yes, boss?"
"I've felt the need to expand out of this place. Floragyas is simply too small now that we've gained so much power. All the senators from this country bow down to us, for god's sake." The man behind the desk began, leaning forward slightly. The listener remained stock-still. "You may speak freely. What is your opinion?"
"I believe that is the best course of action. However, we should do it discreetly." The man said gruffly. The seated figure nodded slowly.
"Very good. Nice and slow..." He said slowly. "Ivyson, please send our usual men to scout out neighboring countries. I'm particularly interested in Koagrad." A slight shiver of anticipation ran up the mans spine.
Ivyson bowed low. "Your word is my command, boss." He said, backing out of the room almost stiffly. As if he were afraid.
When the door clicked shut behind him, and the heavy footsteps faded, three men suddenly revealed themselves. One dropped down from the ceiling, his entire body cloaked in black. Another pulled himself out of a niche in the floor, covered by the carpet. The third stepped out from behind the large armchair the "boss" sat in.
"I'm afraid he might have noticed us." The first said disappointedly. "Must have gotten scared, he did."
The second chuckled. "It might have been me. Ate some broccoli for lunch that didn't go down all too well."
The third flinched, backing away from him. "I thought something smelled funny."
"Enough. You all have done well, but passing gas in my office is very rude." The seated man said almost coldly.
The second body guard grinned. "My bad, boss."
The boss sighed, and waved them away. The bodyguards disappeared once more, without another word said. "Once I have enough information, I'll formulate a plan. My goal... Hmmm... I'll aim high and claim all of Tertius. It's not like it's heavily populated anyways."
The man sat back, and grinned.

Suddenly, he took out his phone. It rang only once before being picked up immediately.
"Report to me."
"Like a good sandwich, boss."
"Our wandering friends?"
"Barely managed to get in, sir."
"Flora and Fauna?"
"Flora sir, only ever Flora."
