Yoranda Garmold's Story

Rhyanid raised an eyebrow a bit at Victoria's words, shaking his head a bit. "I don't think that's what everyone does at all," he said with a chuckle, and Yoranda giggled a bit. "No, the Silversons are just weird," she said with a shrug. "They're friends, though, so I probably shouldn't talk too much shit about them," she added, and Zelipia laughed. "Well, yeah, considering your sister's about to have a baby with one of them," she said, and Yoranda nodded, blinking a bit. "You haven't met Barynn yet!" she said, and Zelipia shook her head. "Nope. I-" she started, but then the door opened and a woman walked in with a dog. Zelipia smiled. "There's my appointment. I'll see you around, Yora. Victoria," she said, giving her brother's girlfriend a nod before going to greet the woman. Yoranda smiled a bit, walking over to Isla. "She seems nice enough. What kind of issues were you having with her?" she asked softly, nodding a bit towards Victoria. She'd been planning on just dropping in to see Zel's shop and meet her brother, but now she was concerned for the other dwarf girl.

Spencer laughed a lot at Hazel's comment about how funny it would be if Kyle got stuck. "It would be funny!" he agreed. When she said she had to go soon, he nodded. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Looking for a tree sounds fun! I'm not really supposed to be out after dark, so I assume your dad would have the same rule. Be careful out there - maybe you should ask Kyle to walk you home? That way I'll know you got back there safe," he said.

Gamaya followed Amell to the drop off. She was worried about Hazel, and she knew he was too, but she was determined to be as supportive and reassuring as she could be. He was no use to Hazel if he was panicking or freaking out, after all. When he confirmed that Hazel was still on the islands, he nodded. "She's here somewhere. Someone has to have seen her," she said, walking with him while he asked around.

Isla looked up and frowned, "for one I don't like people who I just met gonna be her hand up my skirt and having a feel. Nor kissing my neck. Or threatening me being fired and my son." She said and shrugged.

Hazel blinked, "you... you think he will be okay with bringing me home? I don't want to impose." She said softly. "He looked like he just kind of wanted to relax at home."

Amell and Gammie looked everywhere and Amell was about to throw some people. "Maybe she went back home... please let her be home..." he said as they started back.

Yoranda blinked and glanced back at Victoria, then looking back at her. "She felt you up and kissed you? Even though she's dating Rhyan? Fucking creep," she muttered. "I don't think you have to worry about getting fired, though. Zel said that Rhyan says you're a really hard worker. I doubt Victoria has any power to get you fired - and even if she tried, Zel's got your back. She really likes you," she said with a smile.

Spencer smiled when Hazel questioned whether Kyle would be okay with walking her home. "Yeah, sure! Kyle really likes the lake island. I'm sure he'd love an excuse to head out there. He said to let him know if we needed anything. Besides, he wouldn't want anything to happen to you any more than I would," he told her. "Come on, let's go ask him," he said, leaving the clubhouse and heading for the house.

Gamaya could tell that Amell was getting increasingly worry. She nodded when he suggested checking back home. "She's a smart girl. She probably knows better than to be out past dark. If she's not home, we'll go alert someone that there's a child missing. I don't know how they handle that kind of thing here, but back home it's a big deal and always taken quite seriously. I would assume the same would go for where you're from, and hopefully here, too," she told him.

Isla nodded, "I am just playing nice till she moves on or he whatever. I'm just trying to work and put food on the table for my son and I." She sighed.

Hazel nodded, "well... if I can be his excuse." She laughed softly and walked with him back into the house.

Amell nodded, "wish she had been smart enough to let someone know where she was going." He growled and walked with her back to his house. "I swear to god if someone has harmed her..." he growled.

Yoranda nodded a bit. "Yeah, that makes sense. Just take care of yourself, okay? You seem sweet and if she's creeping on you, you do what you have to do. If anything happens, Zel will have your back. I should get going, now, but it was really nice meeting you!" she said before turning and heading out. Rhyanid gave the girl a little wave as she left. Zelipia took the dog from the customer, who then left, and then Zelipia turned towards Isla with a smile. "Did you wanna come give me a hand real quick?" she asked before glancing at Rhyanid. "I'm borrowing Isla for a minute, so don't go anywhere," she told him, figuring that if he was alone working the front and any customers turned up, he'd likely have to send Victoria on her way so he could do his work.

Spencer laughed a little at Hazel's words and nodded. "Yeah, pretty much," he said. He went upstairs and to Kyle's bedroom door, knocking. The taller brother answered a moment later, smiling down at them. "Hey, what's up?" he asked. Spencer smiled. "Hazel has to go home because it's getting kinda late. We were wondering if you could walk her back. She lives on the lake island and it's getting dark out," he said. Kyle smiled, nodding. "Yeah, sure," he said, emerging from his room and closing the door behind him.

Gamaya sighed softly and nodded. "You're right," she agreed with a nod. She had a feeling Hazel was going to be in big trouble if it turned out that she'd just been out and about, but that wasn't her concern. If anything, she hoped Amell would discipline his daughter. She knew he was trying his best to be a good dad and she didn't want him to let something like this slide just to make his daughter like him - part of parenting, after all, was actually the parenting part, and that included discipline. "I don't know why anybody would want to hurt a child, but if they have, then you track them down and kick their asses. My understanding is that you're good at that," she said.

Isla smiled and nodded, waving at her and then looking up at Zel. She nodded and walked with her to the back. "You ever wash a cat? Do they even need to be bathed?" She asked softly.

Hazel walked to his brother's room and watched it open. She got to peek inside his little world and smiled up at him. Kyle seemed like a sweet guy. Dreamy and sweet. What a combo. "Thank you...i really appreciate it." She said softly.

Amell shook his head at her joke and smiled a bit. "Dammit woman, drop trying to make me smiled during this stressful time." He said and opened the door to his house.

Amell looked at the dwarven man, "GAMMIE'S house it is." He glared a bit. Haera smirked, "Your brother might be punted. I might look forward to that." She said and sighed. "Amell... can you do my a solid... I will pay you like... thirty if you carry my to GAMMIE'S house." She said, not to thrilled to have to be carried, but she wanted to know what was up and she didn't want to do anything that could hurt the babies. Amell laughed a bit. "How does your pride feel?" He asked and Haera groaned. "I will sick Lor on you..." She sighed and Amell chuckled. "Okay... come on... it is going to take a bit to get to the house since someone has to waddle." He smirked and looked at Barynn. He stood and swooped Haera up. Hadasha walked close to Amell and they started off. "Come on, kids. In a straight line. If you act up I will make you hold hands." He smirked and Haera groaned as people watched. "I wanna die, Bi-Amell." She said. Amell raised an eyebrow. "I am not Birger." He sighed. "Yeah.... but you remind me of him so much..." She said and smacked his cheeks softly. "Giant teddy... did you fight in a war?" She asked and he shrugged. "A small one..." He said and Haera sighed. "Do you have PTSD?" She asked and he shook his head no. "Nope... why?" He asked and she shrugged. "I know someone who does... thinking about Birger... I gotta talk to one of them short twins." She sighed. "Man..." She sighed. Amell chuckled. Hadasha kept glancing back at Thul. They finally made it to the house and Amell set Haera down before knocking. "Gaammmiiieeeee... there is a mob here after Yora... something about being offended. Help!" He smirked.

Thuling raised an eyebrow when the large man insisted on calling Gamaya by that childish-sounding nickname, but figured it was better not to argue with the huge man. He offered Barynn his arm and she giggled a bit, holding on to his arm to walk along. "You're really pregnant. I hadn't realized how close you were to having this child," he told her while the large man joked around with Istrain's girlfriend. Barynn giggled a bit, nodding. "Very close. We're so excited," she said, and Thuling blinked. "Ah, yes, I recall that you were apparently with the father again," he said with a slight shake of his head.

When they reached Gamaya's house and Amell knocked, Gamaya answered the door in a matching set of yoga pants and a tank top, blinking when she saw Amell carrying Haera while Istrain, Hadasha, Barynn, and - "Thuling?!" Gamaya exclaimed when she saw him, her eyes widening. Barynn let go of him just in time for Gamaya to rush forward, throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him. "Gamaya, hey," he said, hugging her back. Gamaya blinked, abruptly pulling back. "Is everything okay? What are you doing here?" she asked, and Thuling smiled. "Everything's okay, don't worry. I just need to talk to you guys. Are the twins here?" he asked, and she nodded. "Yeah, they're upstairs. So...everyone's here except Cherono?" she asked, and Barynn nodded. "Yeah, Amell was gonna go get him, I think," she said.

Amell put Haera down and she walked over to hide behind Istrain and Hadasha. "Ahh yeah... I am going to go get him." He said and smiled before walking away. Everyone made their way inside and Hadasha looked over at Haera. "You think I should be here?" She whispered. Haera shrugged and smirked, "Ya here anyway and you aren't going back till I go." She said and Hadasha nodded. The girls sat in a corner of the room and talked among themselves. Amell jogged to the shop. "You Cherononono, your brother Thuling is here and need to talk to you." He said. "Now move your little legs because everyone has been waiting for like an hour." He smirked and when he chugged his way out after locking up they went back to the house and walked in. "I think I got the right guy. He kind of looks like you all... but is like WAY prettier." He smirked.

Gamaya nodded when Amell left to get Cherono. She shut the door behind everyone. "Come into the living room, guys. I'll go get the twins," she said, leading her siblings and Haera and Hadasha into the living room. Istrain pulled Haera gently over to a living chair with him, sitting down and pulling her to sit in his lap. Barynn and Thuling, meanwhile, sat down on a couch while Gamaya disappeared to fetch the twins. They came down a moment later, with Unarelle wearing a long and loose-fitting dress while Yoranda wore a shorter, flirtier dress. They both got excited at seeing Thuling, though Unarelle didn't really say anything since Haera and Hadasha were both there. They each gave him a hug and then sat down on a couch together, along with Gamaya.

Cherono was a bit surprised when Amell showed up and said to come with him since Thuling was there, and he quickly nodded. If Thuling had come all this way, it had to be important. He locked up and headed with the big man; he rather liked Amell, as he found him entertaining and quite friendly. He was handsome, too, but Cherono would obviously never say so. He laughed when they reached Gamaya's house and Amell said that he was prettier than the girls, smirking over at him. "Don't let Jasper hear you say that or he might have to kick your ass," he said before going to give Thuling a quick hug, sitting down. "Well, that's everyone," Barynn said, and Thuling nodded. "Well, yes, but the elf and the human are still here," he said.

Hadasha looked at Una and then whispered to Haera. "And I thought I was shy." Haera nodded, "It can be a bit annoying." She said and Hadasha smashed her cheeks in. "Aww you don't find me annoying. You are so sweet." She giggled and Haera sighed and glared at her. "Imma tell my momma." she smirked. Hadasha sighed and rubbed her belly. "I can't wait to meet these two. They are going to be so cute! I hope they are tiny like their daddy or... his sisters... or just tiny." She said and Haera shooed her hands. "Or maybe a miracle will happen and the elf gene is strong." She smiled.

When Cherono came and Thul said what he did Haera growled. "I am part freaking dwarf too, ya know? Have... have you NEVER... don't answer that." She said and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "I am not going anywhere if it pertains to Istrain. And why didn't you signal out freaking Hadasha? Boy..." She said ready to get up. Amell smirked, "I gotta be here. I am Barynn's bodyguard." He said.

Istrain raised an eyebrow at Haera's words, looking at her. "You seriously think that a baby who's three-quarters dwarf is going to be anything more than tiny?" he asked with a smirk. "Especially twins - we all know those babies are going to be teeny-tiny and there's no use fighting it," he teased. He blinked when Haera got mad at Thuling, about to speak up, but Barynn got there first. "Haera's family, Thul. Anything you have to say to us can be said in front of her," she said. Thuling blinked, but nodded. "Well, okay then," he said before looking at Haera. "I don't single out that one because she's a dwarf. Our kind are close to our kinsmen - she's basically family by virtue of blood," he said. He frowned a bit when Amell said he had to be here, but Gamaya cut in this time. "It's fine for Amell to be here. He's my best friend here. Just hurry up and tell us whatever it is," she said.

Haera sighed, "A woman can only hope." She smirked before glaring at Thul. Well she is MY family, by actual blood and our kinsmen aren't the damn greatest. So excuse me if I think your word is complete and utter crap." She said, toning it down on the cursing since she knew there was a kid somewhere in the house. Haera could have smacked the hell out of him. This is why she should have never mingled with a damn dwarf. Hadasha frowned a bit. She didn't like how he used her in a situation like that when she just got to heal her bindings with her cousin. She leaned in and whispered, "I may think he is handsome, but he is no way closer to me than you and I are. Please don't listen to him, Haera." She said softly. Haera patted her head, "He is a Garmold... I feel like he is the special child in the family... so it is okay." Haera said softly.

Thuling raised an eyebrow at the blonde woman's response, shaking his head a bit. He wasn't sure what Istrain saw in this woman but, then again, Istrain had mentioned time and time again how unlike other women she was. This was probably what he meant. Istrain blinked when he heard Haera call Thuling the special child in the family. "I'm gonna assume I don't want to know what you mean by that," he told her softly, and Gamaya sighed and looked at Thuling. "Just get on with it," she said, and Thuling nodded. "Right. Well. It's time for you all to come home," he said, and his siblings stared at him. "Uhh..." Barynn said slowly, frowning. "I'm not coming home," she continued, and Cherono shook his head. "Me neither," he said. Thuling frowned a bit. "Well, yes, you are. That's why I was sent here. I have to bring you all back home. You can bring your baby with you, or not bring it with you, your choice. Father even said he could arrange accommodation for your - uh - significant others... in the village, of course, since they couldn't come into the city, but that way they'd be close by if you really insisted on keeping them around," he said. Istrain immediately tightened his grip on Haera, knowing damn well she was probably about to get up and go smack Thuling, and wanting to avoid that happening.

Haera blinked and when Istrain's grip tightened she sighed. Amell blinked and looked around before shaking his had. Haera sat there and let him continue since it wasn't like she was going anywhere. She would be good and when he let her go she would strike. Hadasha frowned. "See why I don't like my kind all too well? Fucking pricks. Not even my elf side of the family was this much of a cunt." She said softly.

Barynn stared at Thuling when he said that their parents were willing to set up their significant others in the village. "Thul, Luther's not gonna just pick up and move to the village outside of Bhagh-Nernwahrum," she said, and Thuling nodded. "Well, if traveling to be with you and the baby isn't worth his time then he's not really necessary, is he? I'd go to the ends of the earth for my children," he said. Barynn stared at him, stunned that he would even say that, and then she stood up. "Forget it, Thul. I'm not coming home. End of story. This is my home now. I own a business, I have a partner who loves me, we're having a baby, and I even have friends here. It's not happening," she said before immediately storming out. Thuling blinked, gazing after her. "Pregnancy doesn't agree with her," he said with a shake of his head.

Haera looked over at Istrain, "Let me fucking go, Istrain. I am going to punch his fucking teeth out." She growled. Hadasha shook her head, "You should be more considerate." She told Thul softly. "What you are saying is very selfish. Take this from the girl who suffered from her grandfather's doing. Don't be this kind of dwarf." She said softly before walking out and finding Barynn. "It's okay. You have a lot of support here, Luther and especially Haera won't let you go. I am so sorry he has upset you like this." She said softly.

Istrain shook his head when Haera asked him to let her go. "Nope. No punching in Gamaya's house. There are like six babies in this room alone, plus one upstairs. You'll set a bad example," he said. Thuling frowned when the little redheaded dwarf said he was being selfish. From upstairs, Danonte started to cry, and Gamaya sighed, standing up. "Can I?" Thuling asked as he saw her getting up, and Gamaya blinked, nodding. "Sure," she said, giving a wave of her hand. Thuling smiled and nodded before heading out, starting upstairs to go get the baby. When he was gone, Gamaya looked over at the others. "This is...weird," she said, and Istrain nodded. "Very weird. He normally wouldn't give a shit, just as long as we're all happy, which we are," he said.

Barynn looked over at Hadasha when she caught up to her and she sighed softly, sitting down on one of the porch chairs. "Thanks, Haddie," she said softly, glancing at the door. "This is just really strange. I don't know why he seems to be so insistent that we need to come hoem, especially when he knows perfectly well we're not gonna want to," she said.

Haera sighed, "Not a bad example... a great one..." She said and shook her head before listening to the two. "If your family upholds those shitty ass society fucking thing then you all moving here could have put them in a bad light. Sorry... the cursing... Istrain there are kids here." She said and glared at him before smirking. "But seriously, my mom's side is from where you all are from and my grandfather had held onto that stupid belief for... many years. I honestly hate the stupid thing, but it could be that. I say just move up here. There is a village behind my family's property filled with dwarves from your hometown. It is basically the same thing besides those stupid society thing or whatever." She said, trying to be civilized.

Hadasha gently held her hand, "Does the way of living consist of reputation and status? If so then you all moving her could have put them in a bad spotlight. I... know that way of living can damage a lot of people. Haera was picked on a lot by grown men in my village and shunned for a while by her mother's side... my side. I am surprised she didn't just make Istrain let her go and take a swing at Thul... I guess she is growing as a person... anyway... because of those beliefs it has hurt A LOT of people... my own family and I rather not have this happen again." She said softly and blinked. "Oh! Why not try and get them to move up here? My village is nothing but dwarves from your home. It is just above the ground and basically, the same thing except not so... absurd status. If you are kind and sweet you will make friends easily and your rep will be amazing. Plus I know a teacher there and she is so sweet... that's me... I am the teacher." She giggled.

Gamaya and Istrain both nodded when Haera mentioned their family being put in a bad light. "Well, yeah. Leaving home to live on the surface is frowned upon, and to have six of your eight children leave the city would basically ruin a family," Gamaya said softly, frowning a bit. Yoranda suddenly blinked. "What if it has something to do with his kids? Maybe the council ruled that if Thuling could get us to come home, he can see the kids as much as he wants, or maybe even he'll get custody of them?" she asked, and Gamaya's eyes widened. "I hope that's not it," she breathed.

Barynn looked at Hadasha when she asked about the reputation and status in Bhagh-Nernwahrum, and she nodded. "Yeah, pretty much," she said. She blinked at Hadasha suggesting that she convince her family to come here, and she shook her head. "Thuling has children back home. He can't come here because he'd never get to see them again," she said softly.
