Chloe Liana Damek's Story

Marriage. It's an eight letter word that means to "give up your life"in Kristina's case. She is just sitting in her cabin waiting to be shipped over to her future husband. Her sister and brother were here with her of course probably waiting for the same fate, but she wasn't taking this well. Looking out of her miniature window watching the sea. She willed for something to happen so that this will prevent the marriage, but alas her powers only worked on land. 'Curse!' She thought. She didn't know what to do about this. Her heart belonged to another, she didn't want to be with this her last time to be with him. She could die here if she truly wanted to.

As she watched the waves as the ship drew by she thought about who she was marring. "I don't want to marry the air prince and become ruler." She cried out. She hated being a princess and now she had to become queen. She would run this kingdom to the ground when she steps onto the throne. She didn't know anything that had to do with the kingdoms and she could honestly careless. She sprawled out across her bed thinking about every way to get out of this. She could always just jump off the ship and die, but the youngest fire prince would mourn. She could always refuse to marry the young air prince, but her mother cares too much about the families reputation to for that. She came up with a final solution that seemed okay. Running away. Taking her lovely fire prince and leaving the kingdoms all together. It sounded wonderful until she considered the consequences. They could get caught or end up dead.

She was too tired to continue thinking about this and she couldn't stay in the cabin for so long, so she left to go find her older brother. He always tried to make her feel better even when Kristina was annoying them. She honestly and truly did love her family, but she wasn't one to be calm.

Athens stood on the dock watching the Air Kingdom's navy ship rearing right behind the Water Kingdom's, preparing to stop at the island's docks. His face is so sober, a person would wonder if he even breathing at this point. Athens has been extra rude and cold the past few days. Ever since he found out that he is going to be marrying Princess Delta; he has been in a nasty mood. Even though all his moods are usually nasty in the first place. Athens could really give two fucks about getting married. The fey knew his parents was going to eventually arrange him to someone but, to Princess Delta? Unacceptable! Athens had nothing personal against Delta... yet. The man just honestly just wanted the second eldest princess of the Earth Kingdom- Chloe Denmark.

Even though he will never admit, he loved the girl the moment he heard her name. For the first time he actually care. Just not enough to go on a riot or protest against the king. Why give father the satisfaction? In all of Athens' life, his father have been trying to do anything he can to get his son to care. Care enough for Athens to actually do something other than be an ass.

A queen lives to serve her people, and her king. Selfish desires are to be forgotten. A kingdom is only as strong as the women behind its ruler. These are the words that had been drilled into the mind of Chloe for as long as she could remember, and as much as she use to hate their meaning…she now clung desperately to them.

Standing at the railing of the ship, she watched as her fate approached. Although she felt many things, she had to admit anger was not one. Her entire life she was raised knowing the day would come when she was to marry a man chosen by her father….she just never expected the word marriage to cut so deeply.

When she had first been called forward by her father to discuss her husband-to-be, curiosity had over powered her. Her hands began to sweat, and heart raced as he open his mouth to speak the prince’s name, “Nev Stream, Merman of the Water Kingdom.” And just like that all the air was sucked from Chloe’s lungs.

Although she wasn’t sure who it was she was expecting to spend all of eternity with…one thing she did know was it wasn’t a man of the sea. How could it be? She was a girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground .

Water was never a fondness of Chloe’s. It never listened properly to her. Although it is true werewolves controlled all earthy elements at will….the elements sometimes did what they wished. Air was more of her forte. The air seemed to listen. She took to the element unlike any other, and felt comfort from it.

Fate would see her married to a man who ruled something she could never properly control, but despite this, Chloe vowed to remain loyal to her upbringing, and find happiness with her future….yet as the docked approached these thoughts faltered.

Kristina wandered around the feeling sick with each step. She gave up the search for her siblings when the servent came to her.
"Lady Kristina. We are here. The carriage is outside." The servant said. She waved her off and the sevant tried to bow.

"Don't bow. Just go away." She exclaimed walking out of the boat to the carriage. She hatwd when people bowed to her, recognizing her as a princess. She never talked to anyone like she was princess. She never bowed or curtsied to any form of royalty. She especially didn't do it to Alphios.

Just thinking about him made her sad. He was going to married off to someone else. She got in the carriage and started to fidget her fingers. It's hard for her to sit still in her human form, but she is uncontrollable in her wolf form. Last time she was a wolf her mother threw a fit from crazy she was. She was happy her mother wasn't to force her to princess like things.

She shifted and waited for her siblings. As she waited she didn't think about the guy she was being forced to marry, she thought about being on the island with her one true love.

Rontu stood at the back of the boat, watching the waves form behind it. He thought of his love, and how he'd have to marry someone else. Of course he had been the last one called into his father's study to be told of the glorious news of his new betrothal. The shouting match that ensued had almost ended in a fight with his father, but Rontu left, going quickly to comfort his sisters. He always did. He silently wondered if the prince's meant for his sisters would treat them well, and knew they had no choice now, with the Earth Prince as a brother-in-law.

He paced the back of the boat, glad to be away from everyone else. He hadn't been found so far, and he quite liked it that way. Of course, all good things must come to and end, and a servant finally found him. The young man stepped forward, bowing as he greeted the prince. "Your Highness, we've arrived. Your sisters will meet you at the carriage." Rontu nodded, waving him away as he slowly made is way to the front of the ship. When they hit shore, he disembarked, standing outside of the carriage to wait for his sisters. He found Kristina already in the carriage though. "Kristina, is everything alright? Where's Chloe?"

Her thoughts were interrupted by her brother's words. "No. I am not alright. I am being forced to marry some air head prince." She kept her gaze out the window trying to calm herself. She exhaled slowly and looked at her brother. "I do not know where Chloe is. I thought she would have been with you." She pushed the annoying tone out of her voice so she didn't upset her brother. She studied her brother's face seeing how he was upset about this as well, but she didn't want to talk about the marriage thing any more.

"Rontu. You know I know nothing about the difficulty the kingdoms are going through. Please tell me why we have to marry those we do not know." She never understood why this marriage was without love. Not only did she not want to marry the air prince, she had to become a ruler. She couldn't even imagine the type of queen she would be. She always thought Rontu and Chloe would just do everything and she wouldn't have to run a kingdom. But everyone has to rule with their significant other which was what angered. She shifted in her seat hating sitting still.

Chloe spent the entire trip yearning for earth beneath her feet, yet as land approached her heart sank to her stomach with dread. As the smell of the salty sea air became over powered by grass and earth, she knew her time was quickly running out. The ship rocked gently towards the dock as the waves lapped at its side, and Chloe found herself pushing away from her place near the ramp of the ship to wander further back onto the deck.

Around her, men bustled about drawing the sails and dropping the anchor of the ship. Excitement was in the air as they prepared to dock, a new future was ahead...if only Chloe could share that emotion. She was a princess of earth, and yet the one thing she adored stared back at her with appending heartache. Chloe once said she was not fond of the ocean, yet at this moment, standing on the deck of the ship with the breeze surrounding her...there was no place she wanted to be more. There was no doubt that once she stepped foot on dry land the lie she had been feeding herself would dissipate. A vow to find happiness with her future was easy when it was a distant thought, but now it was becoming all too real.

Glancing to the sky, she weighed her choices up to this point. She always put other first, doing what was good for the kingdom, and now she was doing it again. Perhaps she would have done well following Kristina's footsteps and acting out more. Then, at least she would't be left with so many unanswered wonders...so many what ifs?

Turning her gaze to the front of the ship where she once stood, a familiar voice caught her attention speaking her name. There stood Rontu and Kristina near the carriage that would lead them to their fate . A smiled grazed Chloe's lips at their forms, and a wave of ease settled over her. She would not be alone in this journey. Her siblings were facing the same future as her, and they would be there beside her. "I'm here, Rontu."

Gliding to where the oldest and youngest Dameks resided, Chloe gently sighed as their conversation drifted to her. Her sister's words did not fall on deaf ears, and she wished more than anything Rontu could tell the girl what she longed to hear. Had this been a party to attend or a speech to be made one of the older two could take away the worry and carry her weight, but this was something each had to do for themselves. She could not marry her sisters chosen no more than Rontu could marry her own. The reason was for the good of their kingdom...something she knew wold not seem fair in the eyes of the young Kristina. How could it? Even Chloe saw it as unjust.
