History ~ Born to a priest's daughter and a demon in the 1840's, Theo has a sister and a brother, Genevieve and Jenka. Their mother had been engaged at birth to the son of a once-wealthy family, who would eventually grow up to operate an opium den. The mother would die soon after the childrens' birth, and without the family knowing their true father, they were given to the forced fiance. The kids would grow up without much of a home, eventually running away to make their own life. Theo's magic abilities would be revealed at age 12 when he accidentally revived a fallen baby bird that had snapped its neck. His warlock marks -blue hair and black wings he'd try desperately to cut off- would appear soon after. He would constantly stay by his siblings' sides as they grew up and taught themselves how to control the gifts they'd been given.
As an adult, Theo would return to the place he called his childhood home, only to find it as a ghost town. He would soon vow to make a city that others like him could call safe, though he would always deny having any part in the city's founding.

So begins...

Atticus ended up dumping Theo onto one of the hospital beds, knowing perfectly well that he could sleep anywhere and they'd probably need his help if they actually caught the mermaid. Atticus then made his way to a closet in the hall and began to pull out various nets.

"If you could help carry these, I would be grateful," he said, holding out a relatively large net out to her. He was a bit hard to understand, though his English was near perfect, a heavy accent masking half of his words.

He snatched up a large bucket and a waterproof flashlight before shutting the closet. "And now we go." He glanced back at Theo, feeling guilty for just leaving him there like that. Oh well, he'd had enough excitement for one day, might as well let him sleep.

Angel:

I was confused but still took the net, leaving Theo on one of the hospital beds.

"So it's like we're really fishing?" I asked. What if we hurt the mermaid? What are we even catching it for? Is it a threat? Well it did grab me by my feet so that's kinda creepy, mermaids are what I call a "fox" foxes are snakes, they lie and put on an act, that's what out family always told me.

"Isn't that a little...rough for an alive "things"?" I asked, walking behind him with big steps.

It was a little ridiculous how loud this surgery really was, or at least that was how it felt to the necromancer attempting to sleep in the corner. Theo groaned slightly and sat up on the cot, sending a glare in his niece's direction. She hardly spoke any other time, why was she being such a chatterbox with Atticus of all people?

He could only shake his head as he got up, peeking over his friend's shoulder to see how the mermaid was coming. She was doing fine so far, everything would be okay. So with that in mind, he trudged out of the medical room and up the stairs to the kitchen, ready for one last cup of tea and some cuddles with his cat, which he found sleeping in the hallway. The sooner he was in his own bed asleep, the happier he'd be in the morning.

Angelina:

I sat on the counter in the dark with a cup of hot tea in my hands, sipping slowly. I relaxed and sighed as the warm feeling slid down my throat and to my stomach, and staying there but I still could feel it warm my whole body up. I was in the middle of finishing when I heard the water flowing in the sink, not seeing anything in the complete dar, with eyes used to the darkness or not, I freaked out.

Being with Theo made me more confident in using my powers so with a panicked voice I whispered the word that got something flying into the air and landing on the kitchen floor with a thump.

"Ow" was all I heard.

All he wanted was a goddamn cup of tea before bed. Why did that suddenly turn into too much to ask for?

Theo snapped his fingers as his cat scurried away as fast as his bum kitty leg could carry him, the lights turning on immediately. "What the bloody hell?" He groaned, putting a hand to the back of his head to make sure he wasn't bleeding. He sat up slowly, glancing at the object that hit him.

"You assaulted me with a candlestick? Really?" He glanced at his hand, ignoring the slight smudge of red on his palm. The bleeding would stop in a moment, he wasn't worried. "And now my cat has disappeared once again right when I need kitten snuggles. Thanks."

Angel:

I chuckled coldly.

"I'm sorry." I took his hand in mine, closing my eyes, trying to focus on the dark velvet coloured blood on his palm, for some reason his blood seemed darker than normal, I shook my head, breathing through my nose. I open my eyes to check out if the magic worked. I smiled to myself when the small cut was healed.

"Good night." I said, even though the sun started to come peek out from the horizon. I went upstairs and into my room, throwing myself down on the bed with a feeling of exhaustion.

"Night," he said with a shake of his head, setting the candlestick back where it came from and forcing himself to stand. With a sharp whistle, the kitten came scampering back, plopping on Theo's foot as his owner made some tea. Theo just scooped up the cat with one hand and his drink with the other, turning off the light switch with his elbow before going up to his own room. Finally, he could get some sleep.

Theo nudged his bedroom door shut with his foot with a sigh and set Ricardo down on the bed. He took a sip of tea before changing into pajamas with little zombies and brains on them. He climbed into bed and pulled up the blankets, picking up an old picture frame and wiping off some dust with his finger. "Goodnight, Little Jewel," he whispered before pressing a small kiss to the picture of his late daughter and turning out the light. "Daddy still loves you."

The scream was barely enough to wake Theo up from one of the deepest sleeps he'd had in his life. He was close to screaming himself, not bothering to change out of his pajamas as he threw open his bedroom door and stormed down to the medical room. He'd barely paused to grab an old robe riddled with holes from age and was still tying it over his mildly ridiculous attire when he kicked open the door, only to find Atticus unconscious on the floor and the mermaid splashing away in a tub of water without a top on.

"What the hell?" He groaned, running a hand through his tangled hair and only managing to mess it up even more. He kicked the siren in the side and managed to get a soft moan from his friend. Looking to the mermaid, Theo gestured to the sleeping Atticus. "Did you do this?"

The mermaid shrugged and finger combed her hair, flopping her tail a few times. "Didn't like the way he was lookin' at me," she said. "Tried feeling me up, too."

Theo tried so hard not to smack a hand to his forehead. "He was checking those lovely stitches of yours, dumbass." He trudged out of the room while shaking his head, grumbling something about fish kids these days and how badly he needed to chug a pot of coffee.

Angel:

After I managed to get all of the shampoo out of my hair and put the new clothes back on, I went downstairs with a towel on my head.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" I yelled angrily walking into the kitchen, my right eye bright red from the shampoo. Everyone was sitting and stared at me like I was going crazy.

Theo opened his mouth, probably to ask about her eye.

"Don't even ask, and yes let me be dramatic because my eye still stings, what the hell do you have in your shampoo?" I said, walking into the kitchen and, leaning back against the counter.

"Our little fish friend from last night felt the need to be our personal alarm clock," Theo grumbled, a pot of coffee set in front of him. Popping off the lid, he downed a good portion of the pot, not bothering with a cup. He rubbed at his eyes with the back of his hand, shadows prominent underneath them. "As for my shampoo, it's just the normal kind in a bottle."

He'd somehow managed to get Atticus awake and off the floor, as he was now asleep on the table instead. The fact that his hair was still dripping wet gave a hint to how he'd been awoken.

Theo just glanced over at his snoring friend with a sigh, gulping the coffee that smelled suspiciously of vanilla and looked laden with a few cups of sugar. "And to think, this is the lug that practically set up me and my husband." He shook his head like it was still full of sleep. "Any objections to me getting ready for the day? No? Great." He stood up, grabbing his coffee. "If the world is ending, Adam's number is on the fridge. There's cereal and bowls in the cupboard, knock yourself out." He paused for a second. "Not literally, of course. I'd prefer not to have you unconscious this early in the morning." With that, he shuffled out.
