Setting
I woke up to something poking my side, I hadn't opened my eyes yet when I saw two pairs of staring at me. I screamed loudly, kicking everywhere, my abdomen not hurting too much. After calming, I sat up carefully and looked down at the, dolphin? What the hell, I didn't own no toys, but it was kinda cute, I was about to reach down to get it when a hand beat her to it giving her the dolphin.

What the hell, I didn't own no toys, but it was kinda cute, I was about to reach down to get it when a hand beat her to it giving her the dolphin.
Theo walked back over to Angelina, plopping down in the same spot he'd been sitting earlier and taking the dolphin. "What? Don't like your new friend?" He teased, setting it gingerly in her grasp after making the stuffed creature shake its head at her.
"Not funny, I was scared" In stated pouting, I looked over to see a girl standing in the doorway, the vampire from earlier. As much as I hated to do this,
"Thank you" I mumbled looking down, Theo would probably tell her later, they seemed like good friends.
"Why did you get me a dolphin?" I asked confused as they burned out laughing.
"You're the one that asked for it," he said with a snort, wiping a tear from his eye. "Besides, it was kinda cute seeing you sleep-cuddle a plush dolphin, just saying." At least she'd been a relatively good patient for him so she deserved the toy. Although it might have been a bit more appropriate for someone younger, but hey, it was still funny.
I gasped as the mermaid fell with her eyes closed.
"She fell asleep?" I asked, shaken up. Atticus nodded and picked her up bridal style, carrying her towards the hospital. I rushed over to the bucket and filled it with water -again. I kind of felt guilty for loosing the bucket in the first place but also for the mermaid, the wound was as big as my arm from my shoulder to my pinky finger, very big one.
I held the bucket steadily with two hands, walking fast towards the medical center, it wasn't hard to find the room that Atticus carried her into, I just followed the drops of water on the floor. I entered the room to see Atticus putting on some white gloves on, probably to stitch her up. I placed the bucked beside the metallic, operating table.
He began to gather up some surgical tools as he spoke, trying his best to avoid waking up Theo for as long as possible. "When you're done with that, come back here. If I wake Theo up in the time you're gone, you're off the hook. If I can't soothe the savage beast, you're in charge of finding his cookie stash in lieu of a sacrificial lamb." He sighed and glanced over to where Theo still slept on. "Gods know I'll need the help."
Angel:
I tiptoed past the room Theo laid in and into the dark bathroom, I turned the water on and let the bucket fill hallways just like Atticus asked me to. I sighed, with this kind of "adventure" I still don't understand why Adam wants to move away so bad, like the food is better in the outside world, the truth hurts oops, but still. I grab the bucket with two hands and carry it back through the dark hallway, I could hardly see anything because one, the bucket covered my face, so I couldn't see where I was going and two, it is really dark here, since the hallway doesn't have any luminous objects on right now.
I walked into the room I thought Atticus would be in, that's how bad I saw, but realised I wasn't in the right room, just as I was about to exit the door slammed shut in front of my eyes.
"What the hell! Who's there?" my shaken voice speaks quietly, even though I'm scared, I respect Theo's sleep, he really needs some.
"Aww man, you should've seen the look on your face," she cackled, holding her sides like they hurt. "I'd say sorry but we both know I wouldn't mean it." She wiped away a tear from her eye with a grin. "Okay but seriously, you looked like you were struggling with that thing and I wanted to have fun at the same time." She took the absurdly large bucket from Angelina like it weighed nothing more than a small book.
I scolded Dawn quietly and stomped after her. All I wanted to do is help, not her do everything for me like the hero she is. Why am I being like this anyways? Acting like this won't help me in any way. I walked into the room to see Dawn touching at the mermaids tail with an amused face.
"Cool right?" I said coming closer. "Never seen one before."
Atticus took the bucket and poured it over her, I watched the mermaid twitched a few times, but laid still, letting Atticus do his little surgery on her.
"Do you need anything else?" I asked Atticus who shook his head. I decided to take a little "break" and walked to Theo's house and into the kitchen to make some tea, but never turning the lights on, you could say I love the dark.
He could only shake his head as he got up, peeking over his friend's shoulder to see how the mermaid was coming. She was doing fine so far, everything would be okay. So with that in mind, he trudged out of the medical room and up the stairs to the kitchen, ready for one last cup of tea and some cuddles with his cat, which he found sleeping in the hallway. The sooner he was in his own bed asleep, the happier he'd be in the morning.
I sat on the counter in the dark with a cup of hot tea in my hands, sipping slowly. I relaxed and sighed as the warm feeling slid down my throat and to my stomach, and staying there but I still could feel it warm my whole body up. I was in the middle of finishing when I heard the water flowing in the sink, not seeing anything in the complete dar, with eyes used to the darkness or not, I freaked out.
Being with Theo made me more confident in using my powers so with a panicked voice I whispered the word that got something flying into the air and landing on the kitchen floor with a thump.
"Ow" was all I heard.
Theo snapped his fingers as his cat scurried away as fast as his bum kitty leg could carry him, the lights turning on immediately. "What the bloody hell?" He groaned, putting a hand to the back of his head to make sure he wasn't bleeding. He sat up slowly, glancing at the object that hit him.
"You assaulted me with a candlestick? Really?" He glanced at his hand, ignoring the slight smudge of red on his palm. The bleeding would stop in a moment, he wasn't worried. "And now my cat has disappeared once again right when I need kitten snuggles. Thanks."
I chuckled coldly.
"I'm sorry." I took his hand in mine, closing my eyes, trying to focus on the dark velvet coloured blood on his palm, for some reason his blood seemed darker than normal, I shook my head, breathing through my nose. I open my eyes to check out if the magic worked. I smiled to myself when the small cut was healed.
"Good night." I said, even though the sun started to come peek out from the horizon. I went upstairs and into my room, throwing myself down on the bed with a feeling of exhaustion.
Theo nudged his bedroom door shut with his foot with a sigh and set Ricardo down on the bed. He took a sip of tea before changing into pajamas with little zombies and brains on them. He climbed into bed and pulled up the blankets, picking up an old picture frame and wiping off some dust with his finger. "Goodnight, Little Jewel," he whispered before pressing a small kiss to the picture of his late daughter and turning out the light. "Daddy still loves you."
