Malcom stepped inside and looked around.
“What on earth?” He looked at the blood. There was nothing special about it. Just red, sticky, blood.
“Whatever was here is just... gone,” he breathed. He went over to one of the dressers and pulled open one of the drawers. Empty.
“It’s like something from the Shining,” he said, taking out his notebook. He wrote down everything he’d witnessed.
“This will make for a very interesting research topic.”

Zara stood behind, farther than him, something was giving her chills down the spine, something

She quickly grabbed him, and tried to pull him out of room. She didn’t like this blood, she didn’t like it at all
but most of all the smell was intoxicating.

“Is it just me or is that smell
heavy” She said, still trying to pull him out, but gently now.

Headache, headache came again, and she wanted to vomit. she ended up stumbling back outside and leaning against wall, forgetting about pulling him out, something she was in a middle of doing, just seconds ago.

"I feel...weird." she barely managed to say.

Does it affect him too, or is it just her?

No it seems not to, he was there longer...

OOC- I'm actually curious what will Malcom's assumption be...

Malcom put a hand on Zara’s shoulder.
“Deep breaths. Blood can be sickening to smell in large amounts. I also think it’s probably a somewhat bad idea to smell it more than we need to, seeing as it’s prinably got some of the virus in it. If it’s too strong, we can leave the room. This room is a mystery, but it might not be ours to solve,” he said. “Or you can sit out here for a moment, and join me again when you’re feeling better. Blood can be overwhelming when you really smell it the first time.”

Zara smiled, even though she was in pain
“You’re one of that few people, aren’t you? Well, I’ll wait there
” She slowly moved out of this bloodied place, waited in hall.

Funny that my back burns me now
wait my scars

It hit her immediately, all this time pain was connected to what happened before.
“Malcom
could you come to me for a second? I need to check something”

Malcom once again exited the room. He really had no idea what was going on in there. It was the strangest thing he’d ever seen. Malcom walked up to Zara.
“Yeah, what do you need?”

She turned around, so he would see her back.
I’ll lift cloth of my back, and you tell what you see, alright?” Zara wondered if it was somehow connected to her scars, but that would be nonsense
and yet she wanted to be sure.

Malcom had no idea where she was going with this.
“Ok...” he said, sounding as confused as he felt. He didn’t really know what she was about to show him, and he was almost a hundred percent sure he wouldn’t like it.

Zara lifted her cloth, what Malcom could see was
dreadful to say the least. Amount of scars on her back was unaccountable, scars long and seemingly made by whip was but a small detail of what he saw, one thing most noticeable
was a large scratch like wound on her back, quite fresh one may add. Little blood, but skin red all around, when did that happen?

“So, what do you see?” She asked

Malcom scratches his head.
“It looks like a lot of scars and scratches. One seems fairly fresh. When did you get these?”
Malcom wasn’t completely sure if the infection could be spread through scratch, but if that’s what this was, he needed to be on high alert. He didn’t want to die only minutes after being freed from that horrible room.

Zara knew there would be scars, but a fresh scratch is something new.
“Wait, a fresh scratch, really?” She turned around to look at him, but ended up looking behind him.
“You know
I think we forgot about looking up when entering
” Whatever was behind, had to be different from what they saw so far.

OOC - Should I put some new enemy here, or do you want to do that?

OOC- I think you should do it, you seem to have a better idea of what it should be.

Malcom’s eyes widened.
“You’re right...” he murmured as he slowly turned around.
“We may be in for something new.” He said as he held the knife in front of him once again.

Both looked at humanoid creature with tail split in two parts at the end, in place of normal fingers deadly claws. Monster raised on of hands and with long tongue that came out of mouth licked blood of them, who would’ve guessed something like that existed.

“Oh well, now I know what scratched me and scratched at door” Zara said.

Whatever it was, it simply watched them, not moving an inch back or forth.

Zara felt weak, and even if she had strength to swing, it wouldn’t be sufficient to scare it off, or help Malcom.
“Watch out for claws, may be poisoned
” Zara said, barely standing.

Malcom took a step backward.
“What the Hell...” he murmured. He slowly turned around to Zara. “I think now would be a good time to get moving. Shut the door.”
He muttered quietly to her, terrified to startle the creature. He didn’t know if that thing was a mutation of the disease, a whole new sickness, or something else. Whatever it was, his heart was pounding and he was horrified.

Monster seemed to smile, while Zara was troubled.
“But I can’t shut it, lock is done for
I broke door down, remember?” Seemed like they were in a bad situation.
Monster still stood, rather than attacking and simply killing them in most likely scenario, question is, what it is waiting for.
"Not to mention, trying to reach door may..." Zara suddenly fainted.

OOC - Why do you think it is waiting? Fun fact, I thought It would appear later...but whatever, possibly more fun for scientist this way :)

Malcom’s heart sank with the dull THUD of Zara’s body hitting the floor. The creature’s eyes followed Zara, then darted back to Malcom. Malcom stared back, not daring to make a move. He was reminded of a Western a girlfriend of his had loved back in college. It ended with three men in a graveyard fighting over a box of gold, and they were at a standoff since none of them wanted to draw their gun first. Malcom felt like one of those characters. He didn’t want to make a move for fear that the enemy would be faster. He didn’t even know how a thing like this could even exist. “It’s a miracle,” he suddenly thought and he couldn’t help but snort out a short laugh. At the noise, the creature turned and crawled out of the open window behind it like a spider. Malcom looked at the window, then at Zara, then back at the window. He didn’t know what to do. He had almost died, and now he’d have to look after an unconscious girl until she woke up. Unless... unless she was actually with a group like Malcom suspected! But how would he find them? Should he shout? That could risk attracting zombies... No it wouldn’t. If there were still zombies on this floor they would’ve come out by now. That decided it. He needed to get help. He took in a deep breath and shouted.
“Help! Someone! A girl Zara! She’s unconscious!” He shouted words along those lines until he was out of breath, then leaned against the wall. All he could do now was wait.

OOC - Hmm, I guess now we would have to wait for a while, let's say day, and then if no one else posts, we assume no one comes for some reason?

Ayden heard the yell, grabbed Adyson by the hand, and started sprinting. When it was obvious that Aydson couldn't keep up, he picked her up and piggy-backed her towards the sound. As they got closer, he noticed the blood becoming more and more concentrated, and it looked fresh. Worried that they were about to walk into a trap of some kind, he crouched down, and put Aydson on the ground. She scrambled behind some cover.

"Stay here for a second," Ayden whipsered to her. "Don't make any noises and you will be safe."

She did as he told and watched him walk further down towards the sound of the calling. Ayden approached but maintained a good good distance. He squeezed his crowbar tighter. "Who's there? Anyone? Zara?"

Malcom heard a man speaking, and called out to him.
“I’m over here! Your girl, Zara! She fainted! Please come over here!”
He hoped the man would come quickly, and that he would trust Malcom. Malcom wouldn’t trust himself if he’d found himself here, really. It all depended on who was coming for him and Zara.

Ayden slowly entered the room, and saw Zara collapsed over this man he had never seen before. he gripped his crow bar threateningly. "Who the hell are you and what happened here? Did you do this?"

Malcom put out his hands out in a “don’t shoot” way.
“I’m Malcom Torrance. I’m a scientist. I met your friend here and she fainted. I’ll explaine everything, but we need to get her somewhere safe. Don’t you have a base of some kind?”
Almost as soon as the words came out of his mouth, he realized how sketchy it sounded. Rather than say anything and make it worse, he stood and let the man decide whether to trust him.
