It’s been a while since Ayden and his sister left, in search of their best hope – electric car. Zara regained consciousness every few minutes, only to slip into the darkness. Each time she had barely enough time to look around, but enough to whisper a word or two.

Sadly she lacked strength to move, at least yet – whatever was coursing in her body had an interesting effect on her, it didn’t kill her…instead had weakened her for some unknown reason.

Most interesting part was that as much as she couldn’t move, nor see when seemingly falling asleep, she could hear what was happening and think. – What in turn made her think that this poison was made only to make target immobile, but why...was a question popping in her head.

Nonetheless all she could do now is wait, and use little time she has to think, and think again.

OOC - If any of you think that it's better for Zara to be at least able to walk I'll change it ^^

Kobe kept his head down most of the time. That's how you survived. He had his ax in his hand, the pole weapon one that he would not venture out without. He had slung over his back was his model 783. Good for medium range work. It has a suppressor on it that was cobbled from sand, glass and plastic. Great for clearing out one Zed. He had chosen to find a safe house down a maintenance shaft into a sewer. He had painstakingly gathered up materials to barricade both ways along it, leaving flow holes in case there was storm runoff. The maintenance hatch was water tight and it was on the other side of that he slept. The grate he had chosen was one that was only a few feet from one of the Distribution centers for a grocery store, that should last him long enough to wait out a good number of them he suspected. Better yet the grate opened up in the sheltered truck bay so it could not be seen from far off, but gave him a decent range of sight to be sure nothing was was gonna ambush him as he climbed out of it. In the days when he first had set things up he'd have loved to have found a place that was on the grid of one of the long term backup generators, but for him, well he had only batteries in the way of power to go on. Fire was too dangerous and so he spend his nights in the dark and his days in the barely visible light.

Slipping up that night he made his way into the warehouse. He cleared it painstakingly row by row to be sure it was still empty before making his way up to the roof. He checked once a week to see for sure nothing better was being erected, like a defensible area. Staying low on the roof he peeked over the top of the roof's edge on each side. Today, he only made it to the third. What he saw heading along the road. A vehicle. That meant organization, people. He knew he'd be safe from raiders alone, but others would allow a round the clock watch. He waited there, eyes tracking the movements of the vehicle Watching where it was going until he had a good idea of its general destination. If it was close enough he'd be able to scout out where it wound up, if the risk was too high, he'd go on about living like he had.

Malcom stood at the window of the hideout of his new team with his hands in his pockets. He was waiting for some people he realized he never learned the name of to return. He was alone with Zara, who he had spent most of the day unconscious. He walked over to where she was sleeping and saw she was somewhat conscious.
“How you feeling?” He asked. He knew she’d probably be too weak to answer, but he figured it would be worth the shot.

Seeing Malcolm, and hearing his voice – his question made her smile.

“Take…a…guess…”

She felt terrible – to be precise it was like someone hit you with a car, and then you’d have to be so unlucky to get bit by dangerous snake or scorpion. High temperature, cold sweat, headache, barely able to speak thanks to sore throat and feeling of numbness whenever wanting to move any limb.

Just great... - was the only thing that came to her mind.

Malcom nodded.
“Not great, I guess,” he said. He looked up at a broken clock in the room.
“Where’s those two that went off for the car?” He asked at last, mostly to himself. “They should be back.”

Kobe spotted the two making their way out of the one building in view of the store. He watched the direction they had gone, and then watched the building to be sure they were not followed. Finding the coast clear,. He began by heading down from the roof and once more taking the time to scan the area. The one was injured, and that could mean that there were problems in the building they had left. Still he decided that getting in touch with others might be worth the risk.

Taking his careful route down from the roof, he was as careful on the way down as he had been in the way up. Moving through the water drain pipes, he checked each corner carefully. Heading along he came up from a grate just down the street from the safe house Zara and Malcom. He didn't know them and didn't want to shoot them, but calling out to them could attract unwanted attention. Looking over the safehouse, he searched for a way he could make it clear he was trying to be spotted.
