Matthew Fair's Story

If you've ever heard of the term "deep sleeper" you would find Matthew Fair's picture right next to it in the dictionary. Almost nothing could wake him up when he was tiered and he was tiered today. Last night Matthew had spent the night drinking with a couple of his close friends until "God knows when" in the morning. When he had finally arrived home he had crashed right in his room, not even reaching his bed he had fallen asleep on the floor. He didn't mind at all, he had slept in worst places, what he dreaded was the when he would wake up, the "Rude Awakening".

Pain surges through his head as Matthew realizes that someone is knocking at his door. He knew it must be Caleb, his best friend and room mate. Tiered as anything and with a hangover that would soon not cease Matthew opened the door, almost falling down when he does so. Matthew had missed some of what Caleb had said only catching "...party later right?", but that was enough. Even with his hangover he could think straight enough to put the dots together, party, later, right. He guessed that there was a party later tonight, something of which he didn't know about. Matthew wasn't really much into crowds but if his friends were going to be there he wouldn't mind.

"Hell yeah I'm going bro... Who do you think you're talking to huh?" after answering Caleb he jokingly punched Caleb in the shoulder. "You know I would never miss a chance to see a gaggle of hot girls now would you man?" Laughing to himself Matthew walked over to the apartment kitchen, grabbing an energy drink and some pain killers, downing some pills and then the drink. He then turned around to Caleb, tossing the can into a nearby garbage bin. "So... what time is it that were going to start to raise some hell?"

After Caleb had told Matthew "Remember, any action that comes after 'look what I can do' will not impress them", memories of past attempts had flooded his mind. Laughing at a lot of the stupid things he has done in the past, hardly believing that he himself had done all those things. He however did think that his actions did impress some girls, if only slightly. Tilting his head back Matthew noticed a clock on a nearby wall. Looking at the time he couldn't believe how late it already was, thinking that he should lay off the drinking tonight.

Caleb seemed to have continued talking but Matthew didn't hear much of what he said, honestly he wasn't paying much attention because of his headache. He however did catch on that Matthew would be playing the part of designated driver tonight, which suited him all the same since he didn't really feel up to drinking anyway. He didn't think it would be a good idea to pack on more heat on his already hungover brain, he wasn't that much of an alcoholic that he needed a drink anyway. In retort to what Caleb last said Matthew said, "I think it will take you much more than a few drinks to become the punk I am... but sure you can try."

Going to his room he changed into some new clothes, going out with the same clothes on didn't really fit Matthew's style. A simple white beater, black cargo pants, green chucks, black and green checkered scarf, and a white fedora later and Matthew was ready for another night on the town. A much more sober night on the town.

Walking past the awaiting Caleb, Matthew took a few more pills and a few more swigs of water. A few seconds latter Matthew was out the door with a black jacket swung across his shoulder, calling back to Caleb, "Don't take forever now sunshine... we need to pick up "she who comes before winter"." Opening the door to his Silver EvoVIII he slid into the car, revving it a few times to get Caleb out of the house.

Matthew cringed a little bit when Autumn had tussled his hair around, his hangover still giving him some trouble. Despite seeming that he wasn't happy with the two love birds talking he actually found it quite refreshing, he can actually be relaxed around these two. After Caleb had so kindly placed Matthew's fedora back on, even if he messed up his hair, he was thankful, giving Caleb a shoulder jab for it.

After a while Matthew was driving their group towards the destination, a party where he couldn't drink, he didn't really think that was a party. Caleb wasn't really a fan of the whole drinking scene or those associated with it, which Matthew found odd but was something which he respected. When they had arrived at the place Caleb had noted a not so "savory" guest who was already sloshed out of his mind. "You see kids... this is why we don't mix our drinks... You end up looking like a complete idiot with a group of guys hovering around taking pictures... and then they will probably end up drawing on him..." The group of guys suddenly started drawing various things on the drunkards body. "...Like that."

Sighing a little Matthew hopped out of the car, placing his arms around both Caleb and Autumn. "Well if someones going to get hammered it is not going to be me... But don't try to drink like me though you two... remember the last time you tried?" Laughing Matthew pushed the two towards the party. "Go have some fun guys... I think I saw a few mates heading towards the back... Don't get lost now you two." Walking down towards the backyard Matthew called back to them. "Whenever you wanna head out just call me."

He then continued to the back where he met two of his friends who were busy trying to hit up some girls. Knocking his friends on the head resulting in a cringe from them both, they had a hangover just like Matthew. Grinning Matthew placed his arms around one of them, whispering into his ear, "Now... when are we going to do something stupid, huh boys?"

Matthew and his friends began to walk towards the main house, walking past those playing various drinking games. Matthew would school all of them but he had to keep his promise to both Caleb and himself. He wasn't going to be drinking anytime soon and anyway he had some plans of himself to make the night a little more interesting. Passing a few girls as he entered the dance floor he noticed that he was getting a lot of looks from the girls. Matthew was quite popular amongst such crowds because of his alcohol tolerance and overall good looks. Giving passing winks every here and there and blowing a few kisses to the lucky ones Matthew knew that he was in his element.

Jumping on a makeshift stage Matthew hugged the current D.J, relieving them of their post. He then grabbed the mic and stopped the music. "To all you party animals right now I would like you to give some good ol applause to our D.J..." After a little applause Matthew continued speaking into the microphone. "...I will be taking over for the time being to give our D.J some rest. So don't worry, we'll be partying hard til dawn break... And the some!" Matthew than began to play another track for the crowd. Matthew was quite skilled with the turntables and his taste of music was great so everyone was having a good time.

Matthew then saw Autumn and a few of her friends dancing. Placing the headphones around his head he smiled at her. He couldn't see Caleb anywhere at the time, which was odd since Caleb rarely strayed away from Autumn for too long. "Oh well... guess I might ask her latter", he said under his breath.
