Did I know an Angel?: I did not know any of the Generals personally, but I met them on a few occasions. I respected them as superiors and as great fighters. I was…caught by surprise at word of their deaths.

Personality:

Salem is cynical about the motives of the Fallen, but follows the Lord’s words to the letter. Being a loyal soldier, he knows how to put professional and personal apart. His years of being an assassin, so to speak, have made him cold towards others, though when he gets to know someone, he would willingly give his life to protect them. He likes to have his own laugh occasionally, even if it is sometimes at the expense of someone else. He is by no means perfectly “good”, especially after so many long years on Earth and having to watch the turmoil’s of humanity, be it war, economic depression, or simply the hatred so many produce towards one another. He is distrustful of people, and is easily made suspicious of their motives. In this regard, he finds it difficult to confide in others. He is usually a loner if not the "top dog", preferring to remain quiet. The few people he does get close to, he often doesn't talk about his past; mainly because his "life" is simply one of many crafted identities. However, he does occasionally confide in his sister about his troubles, though not many others know about him aside from the story he tells about the battlefield.

Even though his attitude is often that of a cold cynic, he also has his soft side. This soft side comes in the forms of animals, which to him, represent good. While he keeps this side well hidden, he has a dog at his established Earth home. Debora, a Husky, is his closest friend on Earth. Also, in Heaven, he has a younger sister whom he loves dearly. Though she knows his job is important, she often shows great dislike of it, for the fact that he must kill and remain so far away at almost all times. When he is on Earth, he does not mention her, for fear that an enemy may hear.

Bio:

Salem (as he’s known this time around) has crafted this as a past for himself. Born to James and Reba Wright, he was a single child. His parent were killed when he was young (a good sob story made most people run for cover) in a car accident and he jumped from foster home to foster home. Growing up with a disrespectful attitude and a limp from the same accident that killed his parents, he went through college (how else can he explain his seemingly vast knowledge? He’s 23!) and supports himself through various “odd jobs”. Of course, this is merely a guise. He’s using the same bank accounts that he’s used for years, stocked with enough money to support him for a lifetime if he uses it right. Though it was not required of him, he chose to live on Earth so that he could answer the call quickly and effectively. Salem’s love life is nonexistent. Further elaboration is usually not needed.

Sanual, on the other hand, is a well enough known Angel. He’s not famous or anything, but he is an honorable mention when it comes to the army. He has seen many battles and made his fair share of mistakes.

Fighting:
While he prefers to fight with his sword or his hands, his handicap prevents him from doing it easily. When the time calls for it, he has bound himself to Taronaria, the Wailing Wolf. He also makes use of the Light Magic. On Earth, since carrying a sword around is often considered abnormal, he has a cane that can, through a complex set of mechanisms (which are child proof), reveal a short sword with a steel blade. His summon object is the ring on his right hand.

Salem's Injury: During the war, Salem acted rashly, getting a group of younger soldiers killed and severely wounding his right leg. Though a medic would have been able to heal it, he refused treatment. The wound has mainly healed, but the limp he still has is a stern reminder of the consequences of his own actions when dealing with others, and the care he must take when gauging his enemies. Though the wound is healed, it can start to hurt when the air is relatively moist, such as after a hard and long rain, or when he puts too much strenuous activity on it.

How I reacted....:
Honestly, I was taken completely by surprise. I replaced one of the angels who had originally been selected to seek out and kill the Generals. At first it was hard, but it became less so as time began to pass. They died hero’s deaths, and to let them fall into the wrong hands would go against everything they had worked for when they were alive. When the new orders to grant them their titles, I was not expecting it. Of course, it made my job all that much harder. Now I have to look over some human teenager like a nanny. And what's worse is that I'm going to be up to my neck in the Forbidden. My leg hurts already…
