Name: Mariana Freyja Smith
Nickname: Sleeping Sun or Black Sun
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Witch
Appearance:
http://digital-art-gallery.com/picture/3079She has big silver, black eyes and black matted hair. Her skin is tan, mostly because she spends a lot of her time sleeping in the sun before riding or moving when it gets cooler. She's 5' 3" and 5' 5" when she wears her boots. She has skinny build, though she eats quite a bit. She wears a simple silver pentagram earring just on her left ear, the right is left empty.
Personality: She's a very passive person, showing little care in everything except the moon, sun, and riding. She comes across to others as arrogant, though really it's more she doesn't usually care. She hates rules though the exception is the Law of the Heart. She's an outlaw by heart and in no way does she represent a lady. She prefers getting her hands dirty and making a mess of things, which greatly amuses her, though she does know where the line lies between a good laugh and hurting someone, she may attempt to push that line, but she never crosses it. She's rude and when another person's feelings get hurt she'll tell them to suck it up and walk away. She isn't shy, but because of her personality, people tend to avoid her and so she's become distant and will often times talk with her horse, Jackie. Native Americans see her as a cousin and will let her some times stay with them for a short time, usually a couple of days because of how many times she's helped them out. The black people see her as more of an acquaintance because she is still rude, but she's helped them in the past. She respects the Native American's culture, though sometimes being rude them too, but the Natives just laugh at her and move on. She's a free spirit in the way that she's always moving, she has a hard time staying in one place too long, mainly because she believes that black magic follows her. She is also very paranoid of anyone that should follow her of their ulterior motives, she also gets very aggressive if anyone should try to touch her.
History: She has come from a long line of Norse witches. Her grandmother was the first to come over to America. She had kept her magic hidden well and no one suspected that what she was and what her religion was. When she met her grandfather, her secret was still kept safe, though one night he found out. Her grandmother was scared to death for a week, for afterwards her husband hadn't talked to her. But one day he started talking to her and as before too, she soon found he had told no one and was okay with it, the reason being his grandmother was the same and he was far too in love with her that he would never betray her. When her mother was grown to be 21, she too being a witch, she fell in love. She got pregnant out of wedlock and was shunned from her town, her love never followed. So Mariana and her mother lived by themselves, with the occasional visit of her grandmother. The reason being for Mariana's middle name is because her grandmother wanted her granddaughter to have a piece of her ancestors home-land, that and she had very bad luck as a child, always knocking things over so she was named after the Norse goddess Freyja, because her number and day are 13 and Friday, the day Mariana was born. At age 14, however, someone had discovered there secret of being witches, but instead of alerting the whole town, this man decided to deal with them himself. He tortured her mother in front of her before chaining her mother to a wall and burning the house down. He took Mariana to a cave, this is said where the extent of Mariana's paranoia had come from, but she never talks about it and is restraining the memories. After that night, Mariana became a wanderer, she moved from town to town, helping whomever along the way. When someone found out that she was helping the Native Americans and blacks, she became an outlaw, and so it came to be that if she stayed somewhere she stayed with Native tribes. But in some few cases when she stayed with the Native Americans for all of Winter and sometimes into the Spring, bad things followed her, no one knows if it's magic or a person with revenge on the brain, but either way, the "darkness" followed her, thus the the Natives started calling her the Black Sun. Other frontiers figured that Black, meant hibernating or sleeping, that and because she would often be found sleeping in the sun all day till the temperature cooled down, the white people called her the Sleeping Sun.
Weapons: one silver bullet revolver, a rifle, and an athame, which has been passed down in her family for centuries and that she keeps in one of her boots
Spells:
Guns:-Wax Bullet: stuns on impact
The bullet is placed in the center of a sacred circle and purified by sprinkling salt on it
-Moonlight Bullet: makes bullet invisible by warping the light around it
The bullet is done on the night of a full moon by a body of water (buckets of water counts, but spell will last longer if it's natural) and with the chanting of words, "Moonlight sorrow, let me borrow", is wrapped in a dewy grass and placed in the spell owner's blood
-Sun Speed Bullet: can make the bullet go as fast as light
Done during noon (works best on or close to Summer Solstice), the bullet is placed in warm bee honey and sprinkled with the ash of a fire
(starts to slow after 1/2-1 second)
-Star Dust Bullet: when on impact will explode into extremely sharp specs (usually can spread and hit others around the target if there is a strong enough wind) will kill
Done on a New Moon, you must rub the bullet thoroughly with ash, dirt, and salt then smashed in with broken glass until glass is but dust
Athame: -Karma/Curse: Inflicts bad luck on the target
Write words onto athame, "Aeterna Karma"
-Shadow Cut: works kind of like a poppet, in which if you visualize your target and lash out onto a poll, your target will sustain all injuries the poll does
You must wrap a piece of your target (hair, a finger, ect.) and the athame with black fabric and soak it in wine while chanting, "Shadows of portals in this land, help me do justice to this evil man"
(lasts only for an hour or two)
Gemini Transfer: will transfer any and all information from the victim to the attacker
With the athame draw the symbol of the Gemini, then using ink fill in the symbol and blow smoke onto the symbol, you want to collect this ink and before cutting or stabbing the victim, pour the ink onto the blade and force your will into the blade.
