Personality: Basil is ... passionate. He doesn't see himself as the bad guy. He likes to mock people and can be sarcastic at times. Basil is also very bitter. He liked his old life, though that was ages ago. They threw him out because he slept with humans. Not necessarily loved them, which made it even worse. And he killed. Humans. Some did not see reason there, maybe he really didn't have one. That's another characteristic of him: He would do anything to fight boredom. Because for someone who's ages old, there's nothing worse than boredom. So he keeps himself entertained with whatever is nearby.
When he fell, his wings were torn from his body. He never really recovered from the pain, physically and mentally. Ever since, he's been trying (and succeeding in some cases) to rip off angels' wings. He hates them for what they did and though he's rather glad about it, doesn't understand why they let him live. Maybe because they're not strong enough to kill a Fallen. And that's where his fear of the June kid's starts: What if they were strong enough to finally put an end to his existence? And as most do, he hates what he fears. With a burning passion he hunts Nameless and Dark Angels.
Basil makes his plans as he goes. You'll never find him really prepared for anything. He also talks a lot. And he tends to talk himself into trouble.
On the other hand, Basil listens very closely (most of the times at least) and flirts a lot; more with boys than with girls. Also, you can buy him. Give that guy enough money and he'll do (almost) everything. Though every now and then he pulls a scam an runs off with your money in his pocket.
Likes: Basil is a fan of Rock'n'Roll (mainly Bill Haley) and foggy days. He loves pizza and chucks and fedoras and dance-parties/proms. Oh, and money. He'd do (almost) everything for money.
Dislikes: Basil dislikes dogs. Strongly. And the Dark Angels as well as teh Nameless, simply because he remembers the pain they caused. He also dislikes those, who always smile and are way too serious. Another thing he doen's like are apples and people who claim to have a plan. Who the heck needs a plan anyway?

History: Basil is a Fallen Angel. His earlier name was "Rahab", he was the Angel of Pride and his name was roughly translated to 'violence'. He's never been a loyal servant of anyone, give him something he desires and he'll do you any favor in return. However, when he started to bed mortals and well ... show them their mortality, he became a Fallen. they ripped out his wings, causing deep emotional and physical scars - lighting a fire of hate that will never cease. Ever since he fell, he went by many different names, but since the year 1891, when the book "The picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde was published, he uses the name Basil ever so often, simply because he likes it.
Right after his fall he had a lot to learn and spend almost a whole century trying to act human. He still meditates to calm his mind, though - sadly way too often - he doesn't always want to see the point of it. On the other hand, he's been causing great damage when he freaked out.
In the early 19th century he wasted a lot of time in America, enjoying Jazz, Rock'n'Roll and Swing - up to now it has been his favourite era.
When the June kid's came to life in the late 20th, early 21st century, he didn't know of their existence - at first. But as it always does, word of powerful kids spread. Kids with power beyong imagination - and probably the ability to end a fallen's existence. Someting that needs to be avoided at all costs. But the Fallens are not the only ones who heard about the kids. Because so did the Nameless and so did the Dark Angels and they are fighting the Fallens. So basically Basil is on the run from them - and runs towards the kids at the same time.
Basil has been alive four a rough 2.500 years, most of them not spend on earth. However, he still counts about 700 years on earth, but shows himself only with the face of a mid-twenty.

Appearance: Basil is about 5.9ft (1.80m) tall. His hair is dark, brown, maybe even black, depends on the light he's in. His eyes are a mix of brown and blue, serious looking and always full of passion for whatever he's doing at the moment. He is actually quite pale, a fact, that bothers him greatly. He absolutely hates the two big, silver scars on his back, that show where his wings have once been. Whenever he moves, it makes the impression that he wants to move in every direction, everywhere at once. He seems very nervous due to that movement that never stops. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other, running his fingertips over things in the room, ruffling his hair - neither his hands nor his feet ever stand completely still. He has a well trained body, though no one ever called him slim or extraordinarily muscular. Basil also takes carre of his body in a very neat way: Regularly cuts his fingernails, shaves neatly and has a hair cut that resembles that of Matt Smith. He persists on regular showers and time for chosing proper clothes. When desperate, he runs his right hand through his hair over and over again.
Basil prefers to wear dark colors, like deep blue, bloodred and black. He dresses overcorrectly (Is that even a word? Sorry if it's not, but I'm sure you get what I mean), always wears a dress-shirt in one dark color and bootcut-jeans in dark blue. He's also grown quite fond of a human shoe-kind called 'Chucks'. He wears them with everything - from everyday clothing to tuxedo. He prefers dark colors with his shoes as well. Basil also still has a necklace which resembles his former token and he never ever - ever - puts it down. He actually doesn't carry much of weaponry with him during everyday activities, though he always has a dagger with him and a vial of poison. One never knows what might come. Other than that he's not really equipped with anything. Maybe I'll add some things later?
The wings he once had were pitch black, which has always been seen as a bad foreshadowing. Turned out to be true.
