Columbia walks along the edge of the island to the store. She carries a basket for food. She pauses for a moment and looks out beyond the dock to the unending sea. It was hard to imagine that there was once land there.

She sighed and continued on her way to the market.

Tara was by the beach nearest the market, but surrounded by the little remaining trees . She watched as the waves softly caressest the golden sand. She breathed deeply filling her lungs with the fresh sea air. She yawn, running her fingers through her long hair and picked her sketch pad back up off the sand and began to sketch the surrounding sea.

"Oh, okay then" smiled Tara, now walking beside her sister. She yawned, she was tired, after all she had woken up at dawn to go swimming and then sketch, of course no one knew about her swimming. Her father would have a heart attack if he found out, so she had always been careful.
