Esther, from Xoenia, a roleplay on RPG

Esther is a Mutt, intercrossed with Cat, Shadow, and Maize blood from the blunders of her previous ancestors which gives her a rather startling appearance. She towers at least 4 inches over xoenian men and has sharp angular features along with her pale, white skin that fools others into believing she's stoic and severe. She has long, silvery hair that drops to her waist and sidebangs that unintentionally covers half of her slanted gray eyes. In order to protect herself against the criticism of the purebloods, Esther almost never changes her hairstyle in order to conceal her orange colored feline ears, although it's blatantly obvious she's not of pure breeding. Folks usually walk to the other side of the street when approaching her, since Esther's daring appearance makes her appear meddelsome and a bit scandalous.

Esther's daily attire consists of a sleevless, close-fitting, black dress with one gold stripe running down the middle embroidery of twin dragons. The top covers her neck and the bottom area is slitted so the robe exposes her left hip down; Her shoes are simple, ragged black flats. She wears a flimsy, 2 rope belt around her waist that dangles with superstitious trinkets and charms, including a studded metallic cross entangled into her long, wispy hair. Esther's face is always painted with rouge and eyeliner to make her person bolder and more noticable. She can always be found holding a silk, lace fan which is approximately the a foot long when spread open. It is painted with an intricate design of a bright red phoenix. It is a Maize piece inherited from her late Grandmother, although Esther has no magical abilities whatsoever.

Personality

Esther has too much nerve and never hesitates to stare back coldly from behind her fan at the purebloods who dare to challenge her presence. Although practiced and very experienced in the trade of thievery, she holds such an impressive air of elegance that people would never have guessed she was involved in shady dealings. Esther is nuetral between the feelings of others, neither a comfort nor an annoyance. She can be freuqently described as emotionless or coldhearted by friends, although she has a strong sense of justice and promotes equality between Purebloods and Mutts. She usually acts artificially charming and sweet towards strangers, using her good looks ( especially men ) to catch them off gaurd and hopefully use them sometime in the future. She's skilled in lying and persuading others, although these are traits one is not usually proud of.

Equipment

Although Esther is mixed with Maize, Cat, and Shadow blood, she cannot wield magic with her lace fan or bend the abilities of shadow at will. The only ability she had inherited from her Cat father was the power to be able to transform into giant, sleek-coated cheetah with beautiful russet fur. Having the abilities of this particular animal, speed is her expertise, enabling her to outrun the enemy or confuse her opponents to deliver multiple blows in short times.

History

Esther has no family left, for all loved ones were murdered for rebelling against the new government and laws. With nowhere to go, she turned to pickpocketing, enshrouding her thoughts into the deepest depths of her soul and creating a distant facade to lure potential victims.

As the laws and prejudices against Mutts became more ridiculous, she was forced into the slums with all the others of her kind. She took pity on their poverty and kindly shared part of her loot. She could feel change happening, being nuetral to the callings of war. Whatever was to come, would come.. and she would be swept along fate's tide. Esther would patiently await the rebellion, helping the cause if she could afford to.
