"I... Yeah!" Dan said as he tried to dry his shirt. "Just a bit of coffee no worries. You okay yourself?" He asked Serena who's mind seems to be floating somewhere else.
"I'm Dan Humphrey, you are Serena right?" It's now or never.
He took advantage of the situation to finally introduce his self to who Manhattan considers it's goddess.
Another cold wind swept after another that sent him shivering and wanting to be somewhere warm then he remembered that Serena was there in front of him. Of course she'd feel cold. She's just wearing shirt and jeans.
"I'm gonna grab some coffee, I know I'm a stranger but do you want to join me?" He gulped and waited for her to say something about his invitation.

"Nothing, Blair, it's nothing."
"And you expect me to believe that?" Her voice was starting to rise.
"Not here. Let's go to your room. Let's talk there." He suggested and held her elbow to guide her away from the crowd.
She pulled herself away and gave him a deadly stare. "I'm not dumb Nate, I'm not." From there she turned around and walked away.
"Blair!" He ran after her. He was able to catch her but she ignored him the rest of the party.

Jenny bit an end of the cloth as she sew the other end over the constructed dress. She was trying to copy a dress she found in a back issue of Vogue Winter collection.
She stared at the almost finish product and it made her smile.

She looked at him, a small smile upon her lips and nodded. "Yeah, I'm Serena and sure." Yes, she ws cold, but the guy in front of her was nice, so his warmth made her forget about it.

(LOL I'm not. I just go with the flow. Type anything, we don't have to stick by the book or the tv series we can create a new story but the same characters and their personality. "Cool." Dan tried to act nonchalant about it but deep inside he was beaming. "Starbucks or Coffee Bean? Your pick."
He was trying to make a conversation so bad that he stutters, good thing it looks like he was just shivering from the cold wind.
They walked over to where Serena choice. It was so quiet between them that it makes him sweat coldly. So Dan tried to break the ice.
"I go to St. Jude's," Sounding normal and not stalkerish and trying to hide the fact that he actually knows almost everything about her.
"Know that place?"

"B!" Two almost identical voices called Blair. As usual, Kati and Isabel.
"Oh hey Nate. So what's the 411?" Isabel asked as the two girls hands swayed.
"Someone's back and no one told me, that's what."
"Serena was here already?" Kati asked, Isabel was about to stop her and nudged her in the hip but she was too late, Blair heard it already.
"You knew?! Augghhh!!" That was the last straw, she stormed out of their apartment and hailed a cab. Leaving everyone behind.
"Four Seasons. On the double." She gave him a big amount of money to make sure she'd get there faster.

Serena followed him smiling. It seemed like other than her brother, he was the only one in all of Manhattan that was actually being nice to her. She liked it. Alot

"So which place should we enter? Your pick," Dan waited for Serena to choose which she preferred.

"Starbucks." she smiled. She liked the smells when she walked in, even though they used to drive her mother crazy

"Cool! My treat," They continued to take the route to Starbucks when Dan remembered his wallet.

"I... uhhh... Why don't you sit here while I get us something to drink okay?" He walked away from the table as fast as he can without bothering to ask Serena what she wanted. He pulled his wallet and counted the remaining money inside. Hopefully its enough for two drinks.
Dan forgot he's short and he was just gonna get hired next week so as of the moment he is broke.
He saw a few dollar bills and scampered his pocket for more change.

"And what will you be having today?" The cashier asked when it was his turn to order.
"Ummm... Can I have one hot mocha latte, errr Venti." He is not even sure if that drink exists.
"And?" The lady was waiting for his second order knowing she's with no one else but Serena Van Der Woodsen.
"That'll be it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah!"
"You are with Serena right?"
"Can you just get me my order?"
"Very well."
And in a few Dan was able to get the drink for Serena and he approached the seat that they are going to occupy.
"Here. Hope that'll make you feel warm," Dan smiled and handed the drink to her.

"Thanks. But what about you? I'm the one who spilt coffee on you so I really should make it up to you." She smiled warmly.

"Nahhh! I'm good. Had too much anyway," He smiled, which isn't true. Dan Humphrey lives on coffee and cigarettes alone.

"Well, too bad cause I'm not taking no for an answer." She smiled.

"No really I'm fine. So... Err... Is there anything you want to-" Dan was about to finish his sentence when someone called his attention.
"Dan!" A girl in an all black ensemble called his name which made him turn his head from the source.
"Vanessa! What are you doing here?" Dan was surprised, not a good time to bother his moment.
"Duh! Buying coffee, oh wait sorry! You're with someone! Sorry to disturb your little date," Vanessa saw Serena and answered sarcastically.
"I better get going then," She said when no one bothered to tell her "Oh-no-you're-not, why-don't-you-join-us" kind of answer.
"Err... yeah see you around," Dan said awkwardly.
"Around? Psshhh! Whatever Humphrey..." She mumbled and went on to order her drink.
Vanessa Abrams didn't know what was eating Dan, oh wait Duh! It's Serena Van Der Woodsen, every guys dream and Jenny Humphrey's.
She gave a side glance back to Dan and Serena's table to see what they were doing, but she can only see their lips moving while Serena acted like they were old friends. Vanessa hated the feeling it brought her. She's Dan's oldest friend... ever...

"so you said you go to St. Judes?" Serena said curiously. She fidgeted with a bracelet that dangled on her wrist.
