Appearance: Stands at 180 cm, but has very little muscle, and in fact looks rather frail. Hair goes down to his ankles, because he never chose to cut it. His attire consists of dark blue and white formal clothes. Has blue eyes and silver hair.
Personality: Christopher might seem to ignore other people after a moment's glance, but in reality, due to not having set foot outside his home very frequently, courtesy of his illness, he has become rather socially awkward, so it's more that he simply doesn't know what to say to them. Speaking to people through written messages, however, he has no problem with.
Underneath his awkwardness, though, there is a calculating mind which quickly sizes up the opponent's weaknesses and comes up with ways to counter them. So when a battle begins, Christopher knows exactly what he's doing, and keeps his cool...so long as his illness doesn't flare up again.
He likes fiddling with technology, and is quite the nerd. Also, he's a serious perfectionist.
Skills: Though Christopher is indeed an Esper, his illness and circumstances have kept him from practicing much, and his skills are extremely underdeveloped. The first ability allows him to fire bursts of golden light at opponents. He doesn't need to do any specific gesture or anything of that sort--originating from 10 cm in front of him, the lasers just fly at his mere thoughts. While they can tear through stone, however, they don't cause much burning damage, and they are exhausting to generate.
The second ability creates a barrier of golden light around anyone he chooses, including himself, in a 4-meter radius. The barrier can block most physical or magical attacks without any physical harm coming to the person being protected, but it shatters after only one hit, and Christopher's energy is depleted proportionate to the force of the attack. Furthermore, one barrier can only be used every 5 minutes.
Bio: The oldest of three brothers from a wealthy family, Christopher—or rather, Chris, as his brothers called him—was an excellent student. Taking a number of advanced science courses, he had many hopes for where he would end up in life. Unfortunately, Christopher came down with tuberculosis at age 15, and was confined in the home, for fear that he might be too weakened to go outside.
At one point, Christopher and his brothers realized that they did have powers--however, his two younger brothers had greater control over theirs, as Christopher's sickness hampered his capabilities terribly. Unfortunately, the esper war broke out shortly afterwards. While trying to escape from his home as the chaos raged in his city, the eldest Aefenleoht brother was separated from his family. He never found out what became of them afterwards.
During the chaos, due to his frailness and inexperience, Christopher was quickly overwhelmed by other espers and left to die. Some humans rescued him and helped him recover from his injuries, but Christopher knew he'd never match up to other espers. For the time being, he remained with the humans, his opinions on the empowered only worsening as time went on...
