GENERAL INFO
Full Name: "Nikolas Valentine Matsuhita. Yeah, I know, It's a fuckin' mouthful."
Preferred Name: "Niko. Just Niko. Nikolas is too damn formal."
Ethnicity: "Fuck if I know. Japanese according to my last name."
Birth Date: "March 3rd. Just another day."
Age: "Sixteen. Sorry baby, not legal yet."

ImageAPPEARANCE
Height: "5'9. Fucking call me short one more time."
Distinguishing Marks: He's covered in scars (from childhood accidents or fighting incidents), his ears are pierced, as is his tongue. He has two tattoos: Love on the side of his neck, Just Live above his heart.

Niko claims not to be anything to really look at. His black hair is cut down short, always in a messy disarray that he tends to hide under beanies or backwards caps. He has thick eyebrows, strong cheekbones, and a soft jawline. His eyes are chocolate brown, framed by a slant that hints at his ethnicity.

Not particularly tall, Niko is thin and lanky due to malnourishment and substance abuse. He hides his frames in thick sweaters and baggy pants often held up by belts or simply hanging too low on his hips.

Despite not being very muscular, Niko knows how to fight. What he lacks in strength he makes up for in speed.

ImagePERSONALITY
"Back the fuck off. You don't know me, stop trying to."
Niko, to put it simply, is a dick. At school he can be found in the back of a classroom, feet thrown up over his desk, muttering sarcastic comments under his breath. He spends half his time getting in fights or in detention because he has a tendency to run his mouth off to the wrong people. Granted, half the time, Niko doesn't even bother to show up to school. He skips more often than not, though his grades don't really show it.

For the most part, Niko's personality is incredibly contradictory. He spent the majority of his life fighting to stay in school, but rarely gives it even half of his attention. The words that come out of his mouth are usually meant to hurt, but it's a well known fact that under his shell, Niko is incredibly fragile and easy to break. He argues wholeheartedly that he's going to make something out of his life, but his reckless attitude will get him killed before he reaches twenty at the very least.

Niko has a crude sense of humor and is well known for his snide comments and misplaced sass. However, if someone takes the time to break down Niko's walls, there's almost a completely different boy on the other side. More soft spoken, quick to laugh and even quicker to fall in love, the real Niko is a dreamer who's worried about where his next meal will come from and how the hell he's going to make it after high school.

the one that got away

More than anything, Niko is stubborn to the core. He hates the idea that anyone can tell him where he's going to end up in life and expect to be right about it. He demands to be in control of his own fate, even if that lands him in an early grave. Maybe it's determination, maybe it's fear, but that stubbornness...it's not always in control.

He pulled away from the worst of his vices awhile ago...cut ties and walked off like it didn't hurt him. He tried to focus on his school, on his work, on making something of himself. But just when he thinks he's got away...just when he thinks he's going to be okay...this familiar itch starts up under his skin. And it's not always for the drugs.

HISTORY
Relationship Status: "I'm not fucking talking about him."
Family and Friends: "Fuck."
Niko was a Safe Haven baby, dropped on the steps of Catholic Church just outside of the city, it's not something that he talks about a lot but is undoubtedly the source of his (selective) faith. He bounced through quite a few homes as a child -- church orphanages, a few boarding schools -- but has been in the same foster home now since he was thirteen.

Having made it to sixteen without being adopted, Niko is looking at just one more year of belonging to the system and living in a house with eight other kids. For the most part, he fades into the background, not a big priority to his foster parents and mostly a lost cause. He goes through bouts of doing his best to help out and disappearing for weeks at a time.

As each year ticked by, the more Niko's life seemed to go downhill as the statistics of being adopted dropped. Money disappeared, living situations dwindled, opportunities flew out the window. By the time he was in middle school starving to death became a very real possibility, and Niko began to really spiral for the first time.

Averagely smart, Niko knew from a young age that his grades would never get him anywhere. He was too distracted to ever focus on schoolwork, and studying was a theory never put to the test in his busy household. But Niko had one thing going for him: art. Naturally talented, he has poured his heart, soul, and every last coin into drawing and painting. It's his passion, his life, and at that time was his ticket to something bigger and better.

After his favorite art teacher pushed him to submit a piece for an art show, Niko not only won but was awarded with a scholarship to a prestigious school in the upper east end. For an hour a day he was surrounded by all the finer things in life and taught by the best art professors New York had to offer. And, for the first time, Peace Nathans.

Maybe it was the idea of a good-little-boy-in-trouble that caught Niko's attention the first time Peace walked into his art room with cleaning supplies and a frown on his face, or maybe it was the perfect good looks and growing sarcasm. Regardless, Niko was hooked from day one. It was only three days later that he made a move that tied them together forever. A night when the room had mostly cleared out, Niko couldn't remember the last time he had eaten, and Pearce's wallet was right there.

Looking back, it definitely wasn't his most brilliant of plans, and it ended up with him being caught anyway. Of course, Pearce had just ended up pulling out some money and giving it to him. Which ended with Niko shouting profanities about how Pearce should be sending his ass to jail, but Niko ended up in McDonalds that night, with a tray full of dollar menu food and the start of a new friendship.

Niko lost his scholarship a year later due to a suspension (that he claims wasn't his fault) and, eventually, lost Peace too as the older male transferred from middle school to highschool. Niko didn't even hear the other boys name again until he was a Sophomore in high school, smoking in dark alleyways and trying to get his hands onto something stronger. Word flying across the street was that Flynn Nathans was dealing the best shit, and that was a name Niko was pretty sure he knew. Three hours, a crumpled phone number hidden under his bed, and a prayer later Niko was reconnecting with his once best friend.

This time, though, Pearce was all grown up. His little-boy-in-trouble changed to good-boy-gone-bad, his pre-teen cuteness turned into rugged good looks, his sarcasm polished out to dripping wit, and he began taking care of Niko in a completely different way than when they'd been boys. One too many trips down roads better left untraveled, and Niko was in far too deep.

Their relationship could really only be described as a tornado. They hit the ground running with each other, and it only spiraled from there. Niko became wrapped up in everything that was Pearce, and soon began craving not only the drugs...but the man himself. They had it good, for awhile, and then Pearce got possessive.

Niko pretended to hate it...pretended he didn't like the idea of being something someone could own...but the truth was, he loved every minute of it. The first time Niko left, it was because he was scared. Scared of the things he was feeling, scared of the future he was craving. And he went in a trial of destruction and harsh words.

He came back two weeks later.

The second time it was because he refused to enter an art show. Although he knows he's good, Niko became incredibly self conscious about his work with age, and only shares it with people who are close to him. The same art teacher who entered him years ago did it again, though this time behind his back. For the second time in his life Niko won, but this time he threw a fit. And was met with the words: "You could really do something with yourself if you'd stop pumping poison into your body."

Since then, Niko tried to cut ties with Pearce Nathans and the services he supplies. But the itch in his skin isn't just from missing the drugs...and the truth is, he might not be able to stay away.

Besides, he did all his best paintings high.

Moments like these make Pearce believe that they could really give being a real couple a shot. The only thing they lack is the title, they already have everything else. In most senses, they're a better couple than most teenagers are nowadays. Clearly they trust each other, otherwise he doesn't want to think Niko would submit the way he does to him. And Pearce would do anything in the world for Niko, so that means he cares about him. Yet for some reason neither of them find the prospect of boyfriend-status to be appealing. He doesn't understand it himself, and he imagines Niko has similar feelings on the subject. It's too easy to forget about it too, to just let themselves get wrapped up in each other, both literally and figuratively. Pearce isn't about to complain about it, because he's not sure he wants their relationship to change. Though he supposes if faced with the decision of either never getting any of this again or making it a relationship... Well he'd do anything to keep Niko at his side.

After kissing for a bit he wraps his arms around Niko again, gently rolling them until the smaller boy was on top and Pearce was on his back again. He carefully removes the oversized sweatshirt, hands then going straight to his back where there's now more exposed skin for him to touch. They're still kissing but he can feel his eyes growing heavier, if they weren't already closed he'd be fighting to keep them open right now. "Niko," he mumbles against his lips, reaching between them to unbuckle jeans. "You wanna pull those off and get some sleep?" He presses a quick kick to Niko's nose, then smiles teasingly.

The times between them that sent Niko running for the door were times like these. When everything was easy (not that it's slipped his mind that twenty minutes ago they were yelling at each other). It wasn't the drugs that turned him away (even when his addiction got out of hand0, it wasn't the very real possibility that Flynn Nathans could just get more and more of a name for himself, it wasn't the fighting, it certainly wasn't that the sex ever declined.

It was moments standing in front of the apartment with Pearce's hand on his cheek, tracing a bruise some other man left. It was after fucking for hours, laying twisted up in each other. It was late at night, sharing lazy kisses and feeling everything that was loved, even if the words were never said out loud.

And that...that was terrifying.

Niko said it. Niko meant it. And there were more ways to get the message across than verbalizing it. But love wasn't what they had. They had sex and drugs and passion, if not always put into the right medium. They didn't have something Niko could allow himself to put roots into. To claim as his own. He didn't have this place to call home. He didn't have someone to call a boyfriend.

Niko would always belong to Pearce. But would Pearce ever belong to him?

The thoughts leave a bad taste in his mouth, but then they're chased away when Pearce rolls them over, puts Niko on top. The boy shuffles around slightly, gets more comfortable. Pearce's hands gently pull his sweater free and Niko lets it go, so close he's not even cold.

He only gets a few more kisses before there are hands between him, Pearce working through the buckle on his jeans, asking about sleep. He shakes his head lazily, but even as he does he shifts his weight, lifts his hip and pulls his pants down mostly with his feet. "No," he answers as he moves in for another kiss, but even he knows he can't keep it up for long. "Don't wanna miss even a second with you."

The idea of spending forever with Niko both fascinated and terrified him. There was, of course, no way that he would say no to that, because right now everything seemed perfect. But if you had asked him that five minutes ago when they were screaming at each other, he probably would have told the kid to get out and that he never wanted to see him again. That was why they couldn't advance whatever it was that they had. Because everything was always either too good or too bad. There was no happy medium. And it wasn't fair for him to ask something of this kid when they were having one of their good moments.

Especially when he knew he had such a life ahead of him if he just put a little bit of effort into things. Like his drawings and paintings, which by the way were drool-worthy. Instead Niko seemed to be going down a similar path as Pearce had, but unfortunately he didn't have family money to fall back on. Though it wasn't like Pearce wouldn't willingly take care of Niko for the rest of forever, but he wasn't quite sure Niko wanted to be a professional sugar baby for the rest of his life (though Pearce wouldn't be complaining, not in the slightest).

He smiles, a bit too happy with Niko's comment. "I'd miss you more, aimer." And he presses one more kiss to those much too tempting lips, "But you have school tomorrow." So, reluctantly, he rolls Niko back onto his side. He sits up enough to grab the blankets from the bottom of the bed so he can pull them overtop of them, then he settles back down next to the boy. One arm opens as an invitation to come closer, to cuddle with him. "Goodnight, amoureux."

Niko pouted at the mention of school, had half the mind to say he'd just skip. But he was already in trouble there anyway - would be more for skipping out earlier - no reason to drag out the inevitable. So he let's himself be moved, waits for Pearce to come back with blankets, and then attaches himself to the mans side once it's offered, cuddling up close.

"Goodnight," he mumbles sleepily, through a yawn. "Love you."

Niko hated school.

It wasn't the simple dislike most kids had, the need to be at home on their couch not doing shit, Niko honestly couldn't fucking stand it. Here were the list of reasons why: To start with, he only had two types of teachers – those who had completely given up on him and thus either hated him by default, or pretended he didn't exist; and those who were determined to pester him about everything. “Niko, you're smarter than this”, “Does this work really reflect your inner thoughts?”, “Why don't you paint the way you used to?”.

And, Jacob Eves was there.

But, to be fair, for the first time Niko had been able to smirk at him and feel an odd sense of pride because, hey, at least he was getting laid. And Jacob swung a totally different way than him, but Niko was welling to bet that dick hadn't seen any action lately. If ever.

The morning had started out just as nice as the night had ended: swapping lazy kisses on the futon, limbs all tangled up in each other, before Niko's alarm went off for the third time and Pearce smacked him across the ass, telling him to get up and go to school.

Niko showered first, got rid of the smell of sweat and sex, before stealing a pair of Pearce's boxer briefs (which were a little too big on him, but not like half his clothes were too big anyway), and digging one of his many left shirts out of Pearce's closet.

He'd rolled up to school on the back of that motorcycle teenage boys were coming in their pants over, and even gotten a kiss goodbye before he'd turned on his heals and saw Jacob Eves staring at him from the shadows.

Niko had simply smirked, lifted his chin up and pulled at the collar of his shirt, showing off the array of bruises and bites and Pearce. And Jacob Eves could go fuck himself. Niko licked his lips, blew a kiss, and the stupid jock threw him the finger before stalking off to his friends.

“I have this theory,” Amy Hamm spoke up beside him, drawing on a puff of her cigarette. “That if vampires existed, you would have let them kill you already. You know, like that mouse we learned about in science? The one that pushed the pleasure button until it died instead of going for the food? You would totally be that mouse.”

Niko's pencil paused from where it was moving against his sketchbook and he arched and eyebrow, looking down at the girl sitting on the step below him. She was weird as hell, but probably the only person Niko could really call a friend. “Amy, how many fuckin' pills have you popped today?”

Amy tilted her head back, grinned at him as smoke swam around her. Her eyes always had this glassy sheen to them, like she was constantly high. Or had just taken so many drugs in her short life that she stayed that way. She leaned forward a little, pushing a sharp nail into one of the many hickies marring his neck.

Niko jerked away, shot her a glare, and picked up the joint sitting on his knee. He'd swiped it from Pearce's place that morning (he'd pay for it, he really would), and while he usually tried not to get high at school...well, he had to finish this art project somehow. "You're fucked," he muttered.

"Not as good as you."

Yes, Pearce knew Niko had snuck a joint while he had his back turned. No, he wasn't mad.

Pearce had really wanted to join Niko in the shower. But unfortunately the kid had to get to school at some point, they had already pushed it by staying in bed for as long as they had, and there would have been no way that he could have not fucked him senseless in the shower. He refused to let him walk to or grab the bus to school, insisting that he was going out anyways so he might as well drive him to school. That wasn't entirely true, since he didn't have anywhere to be going, but there was a chance that fucking Jacob Eves would be standing outside with his circle-jerk friends and Pearce wanted to glare at him and silently promise he'd fucking decapitate him is he put a single finger on Niko again.

After kissing him goodbye and slapping his ass as he was walking away, then meeting up with a few people as Flynn Nathans, it was approaching ten o'clock and Pearce headed towards the bar. I know what you're thinking, drinking before noon? So not classy. Though he didn't actually plan on drinking, thank you, he just knew a girl that worked there and was in the mood for some greasy as fuck fries and chicken strips. Today he's ditched the black jacket for a grey hoodie and the black jeans for red ones. When he takes a seat at the bar the girl he usually talks to isn't there yet, but the girl that comes over is friendly enough too once he drops a few compliments and calls her gorgeous. Within ten minutes he has his 'breakfast' sitting in front of him and he's popping a french fry in his mouth, pretty fucking pleased with life for the moment.

By the time Asher opens his eyes again, the early morning rays were drifting through the useless blinds on his window, and Lynnie was no longer in his arms. He shivered slightly, bringing his arms around himself instead. The bed seeming much bigger and emptier without the blue eyed girl.

For a moment he wonders if she left, ditching him to ponder over their night together and why she had disappeared after their official agreeing of becoming a couple.

Asher sits up in bed, running a hand through his hair as the idea becomes more of a reality, but with a quick survey of his now messy room he still finds some of her clothes still lying on his floor. Scattered here and there with his, an immature smile makes it's way across his face as he replays the nights events.

With the immature smile now turning into a cocky grin, Ash throws his legs over the side of the bed. He quickly slips on a pair of sweat pants to go searching for the girl. The tall boys finds Lynnie on the couch curled in a fetal position and an empty beer bottle near her.

Deciding to let her sleep a little longer Asher begins his morning routine of showering, brushing his teeth and combing his hair. After about an hour he was back to standing next to Lynnie, fully dressed and hair damp. He gently shook her planting a few kisses on her neck to get her to awaken.

"Come on sleeping beauty, it's time to wake up." He whispered into her ear, he let his eyes travel over her mostly exposed form. Liking the way his shirt looked on her. "Go get ready, some of your clothes should be in my bedroom." He told her. After watching her eyes open, Asher stands and heads towards the door, grabbed his signature leather jacket and the car keys. He twirls the keys around his finger and gives Lynnie a smile. "I'll be waiting." With that he headed to the car. Only driving to school after she was in. Pulling into the parking lot, Asher leans over to give Lynnie a kiss, lightly pulling her lip as he draws away . "See you later." He mumbles sliding out of the car and getting ready to start his boring school day.

Asher strides down the hall, no destination in particular just anywhere that is not the boring class he was suppose to be attending.

"Did you see what was on that fag's neck?" Ash turns his head spotting a group of boys, footballers he thinks. He doesn't really reconize any of them, except one Jacob Eves. He doesn't know why he recognizes the annoying under classmen and he doesn't listen in long enough to find out who they're talking about. Rolling his eyes at their very original use of vocabulary he turns a corner spotting the teen from yesterday a girl sitting hear him.

Smirking Asher approaches them, barely nodding any form of a greeting to the girl before his eyes are on Niko.

"I found out your name." Ash says nonchalantly, remembering the event of sneaking into the principal's office and looking up the kid based on what Flynn had called him yesterday. "Nikolas Valentine Matsuhita. You go by Niko though. I'm not a stalker, I just do my research." He pulls out his pack of cigarettes taking one for himself, he decides not to offer one to Niko noticing the joint in his hands.

"My name's Asher, I usually go by Ash though." Asher lights the cigarette and sucks in the nicotine, letting the cancer stick rest on his lips as he watches Niko. Reaching forward slowly, he lightly runs his fingers over some of the marks that cover the younger boys neck.

"Flynn? " He ask his eyes flickering up to meet Niko's before he draws back, knowing the answer. A light nagging voice that chants the word boyfriend sighs in the back of Asher's head as he plops himself down next to Niko. "So Nikolas what are you drawing? I'm going to be disappointed if it's not me." Ash lazily traces his bottom lip with his tongue, keeping his eyes trained on the boys next to him as he stares at him.

"Come on sleeping beauty, it's time to wake up."

Lynnie feels a smile stretch across her face, and she flutters her eyes open, feeling Asher's lips along her neck. "Mmm.. alright, alright." She moaned, and got up, going to the bedroom to fix herself up. She primped her hair, making it kinda curly, and she just pulled on her skinny jeans, and a jacket, leaving on Asher's shirt. She grinned at her reflection in the mirror, as she did her makeup. She had quite a few things left over here.. didn't she?

"See you later."

"Later, Playboy." She breathes against his lips, him tugging at her bottom lip.

Lynnie sighed. Did she honestly feel like school today? No. No, she did not. She sat outside, by a tree near the school, but kinda away from the classrooms. After she heard the bell, she decided to at least go down the halls, to get her fitness for the day in. That's when she heard that oddly familiar playboy voice.

"So Nikolas what are you drawing? I'm going to be disappointed if it's not me."

Lynnie frowned, and peeked her head around the corner. Who the fuck was Nikolas? She saw Ash, then some kid sitting there. Wait.. wasn't that the kid in the SUV yesterday? Lynnie felt her blood boil again. She wanted to go over there, just to scare him, but, she decided against it, bringing herself back against the lockers.

Biting her lip, she knew she wasn't going to school, for sure now. So, maybe.. the bar? The bar might have some guy she can forget about Asher with. She walked over to the bar, just down the street, taking about 30 minutes or so. She walked in, and popped out her fake I.D. she'd made a while back. "Can I have a beer?" She asked politely, then banged her head on the counter.

At least she didn't have her backpack with her.

Lynnie hadn't bothered to look around the bar when she first came in, but picked her head up, beer in hand, and... wasn't that the other guy from yesterday? She squinted her eyes at him, then smiled.

"Hey.. you're... Flynn.. right?" Lynnie smirked, looking at the guy with an almost empty plate.

"I found out your name."

Niko was, decidedly, unpopular. His personality wasn't one most people found they could stand being around for very long, and he wasn't cool enough to fit in with the popular kids (which, given the state of their school, wasn't much of a cool crowd to begin with. Self appointed bigots who didn't think they were going to end up pregnant or cleaning bathrooms for the rest of their lives.) He didn't fit in with the art kids because he was an asshole. Sometimes he hit it off with a few of the other stoners, but not often. Which was why Niko didn't look up until he actually heard his full name.

Asher. Niko recognized him, though it always seemed a little different seeing people go from buying drugs to somewhere as mundane as a highschool hallway. He was more attractive in the light, all sharp features and bright blue eyes. This close, Niko could make out some of the tattoos across his body. They were captivating. Artistic. He very literally had to shut down the wanting to see more.

From a strictly artistic outlook, of course.

Niko lets him talk, introduce himself, and he brings his joint up to take another hit as he listens, watches as pale green smoke mixes with white before it all disappears. There are fingers on him in the next second, tracing along his neck where Niko knows he's marked, and he wonders for a moment when everyone got so fucking interested in who he was wearing around? Still, when Asher says Pearce's name, Niko's eyebrows raise up like what the fuck do you think?.

His gaze follows the older male as Asher takes up a spot next to him, a little too close for Niko's own liking, and maybe he shifts his sketchbook a little as if he could hide it from Asher's view. The line is a good one, and maybe if his whole name hadn't been used Niko would have played along for a moment. Instead, he takes one more hit before balancing the joint on his knee again and going back to drawing.

"It's my dick, actually."

Below him, Amy snorts so hard she chokes, but Niko mostly ignores her. It's a lie anyway. The sketch is a complete fucking mess: the majority of the background something that's turning into a cemetery - but he keeps getting distracted, drawing something else. The beginning of some kind of portrait, what look like male back muscles, two or three different eyes. All with the same excruciating detail he always draws in, but with no rhyme or reason.

A chuckles escapes from Ash's lips and he quirks an eyebrow at the chocolate eyed boy. He rolls his eyes, catching whiff of the boy's personality for the first time, and he likes it. Taking a drag of his cigarette, he finally lets his eyes wander from Niko. The thought of buying another pack comes to mind as his eyes land on the girl who's a step below them. She reminds him of Lynnie with her feminine presence and cigarette smoke that falls out of her mouth. Yeah he would definitely need to go the store, he and Lynnie had almost finished the whole container.

"Hmmmm...your dick. Of course you understand I have no idea if you're telling the truth or not. You might just have to drop your pants right now." Asher glances at Niko from the side of his eyes giving him a smirk, one that only lifts a corner of his lips. He runs a hand through his dark hair, studying the scenery around him.

"So why aren't you in class? Playin' hookie. I'm not one to hang out with the "bad crowd", skipping class, wearing tattoos, getting detention and such. But for you I'll make an exception, just don't give me your bad habits." Asher teased winking at Niko as he turned to him again, his long lanky arm ghosting it's way across his shoulders hovering over him, but not quite touching him.

Niko tilted his head a little bit, focusing on the feel of his pencil sliding across paper. Maybe that was why he liked getting high while he was drawing, he put so much focus into the little things -- granite sliding off onto course white, shades creating different looks to something once so plain, bringing something to life slowly at his fingertips. Asher's voice dances around him, and though it doesn't seem like it, Niko is actually paying attention.

He huffs out a bit of a laugh as Asher builds on his earlier comment, shifts in his spot a little to let his knees fall open a bit more than they already are, repositioning his sketchbook. "People keep talking about how fucked up my neck looks," he mumbles, focus still mostly on his drawing. "It's pretty tame compared to the rest of me."

There's a beat of silence for a moment as Niko draws, trying his damnedest not to go back up and finish working on a half started jawline. "Flynn gets a little possessive sometimes," he mutters. "Guess I should be thanking you for one of the most mindblowing blowjobs of my life last night."

Class was brought up, and Niko honestly considered not replying for a moment, but he can practically feel Asher's arm move over his shoulders, and he tenses out of habit more than anything else. Finally, Niko gave Asher his full fledged attention, starting by using his pencil to push the boys arm back just enough it was obvious he was not okay with the touching. "I'm not skipping. I have a free period. She's skipping," he nods towards Amy a bit. "But I don't think she's actually been in class since Freshman year."

Niko poked him with a pencil, moving Ash's arm away from him and Asher drew it the rest of the way from around him, returning his arms to his own space. He let his cigarette drop from his hand after inhaling one more time and squished it under his foot. He watched the black ash smear under his foot and into the step, it wrecked the steps making it look ugly and he couldn't help but relate his nickname to that black substance that fell from the cigarette.

"Yeah I can tell." Asher snorted in reply to Niko's earlier comment. He knew Flynn was possessive if the night before was anything to go by. The said drug dealer had looked ready to murder Ash as he made it perfectly clear that Niko was not open. "And you're welcome. It's not every day you get thanked for a blow job, I'll cherish this moment."

Ash leaned back wiggling his pack out of his pocket as he checked to see how many nicotine sticks were left. Only one. Good. He would save this one for Lynnie. Closing his eyes he sighed. "Skipping class is only for the reckless anyway, the ones that are smart enough to know they'll never make it and dumb enough to give up."

Ash let the wind wash over him, Lynnie coming to mind as the wild part of the wind whipped his hair around. He wondered what the brunette would be doing right now, and if when he got his shirt back, would it smell like her.

"Does Jacob Eves bully you?" Asher suddenly asked peaking his eye open to look at Niko. Suddenly putting the conversation he heard earlier and Niko's marks together. "If he is, I can always be your knight in shinning armor." Ash added the last part to lighten the situation giving Niko an easy smile, yet still adding a hint of seriousness.

If there was one thing he hated more than fake people were bullies. Idiots who picked on the weaker.

"And you're welcome. It's not every day you get thanked for a blow job, I'll cherish this moment."

Niko grinned despite himself, unable to hold back the little laugh that quickly followed. Alright, the guy was earning points. He shook his head a little as he went back to his drawing, fixing some of the finer lines. "I skip a lot," he admits finally. "Mostly because I'm too fucking stupid to know what's going on half the time. But I'm trying to be good and not get suspended."

Actually, that was only half the truth. Niko wasn't smart, by any means, but he got by. He did better in English than he did in Math or Science, but even then he was still managing to pass. It's more of a people issue, and usually the teachers more than the students. He lifts his joint again, takes the few last puffs it has to offer before passing it off to Amy.

Jacob's name caught Niko off guard, and he arches an eyebrow before regarding Asher out of the corner of his eye more than anything. There's a bit of humor behind the statement, but Niko doesn't laugh, just scratches at the back of his neck before going back to his drawing. "Jacob and I have a very intimate relationship involving our fits," he smirks, probably at his own horrible innuendo. "But it's nothing I can't handle."

Asher cracks a smile at Niko's choice of words, before it is replace by an actual smile. Not a teasing one, or a smirk but an actual genuine smile. He catches Niko's gaze when the younger boy looks at from the corner of his eye.

"That's good," Asher nodded, he was glad that. Niko just wasn't some kid that let others push him around. "I bet if he was a real problem anyway, Flynn would take care of him. " Asher finished softly.

Looking over at Niko he bit his lip softly leaning forwards again to rest his elbows on his knees. Ash's eyebrows furrowed as he thought about Flynn and Niko. The relationship he was trying to meddle in.

Ash never did understand why he liked the idea of a chase to try and get someone he wanted. He especially liked the part of jumping through hoops which was always the person's significant other. Maybe it was the award winning feeling he felt when they were in his arms, not the slightest bit concerned about the person they had left behind.

Asher turned to study Niko's face watching the way his hands moved as he continued to draw. Ash wasn't quite sure what Flynn and Niko had, but he was sure it was something. It was clear to him that they had feelings for each other, even if they didn't realize it and it was enough that the brown eyed boy beside him wasn't biting at anything. The younger boy had ignored all his advances, and it almost felt like Ash himself.

Rummaging through the backpack that sat next to him, he quickly emerged with a torn piece of paper and a pen. Quickly scribbling on the blank piece he folded it before handing it to Niko.

"My signature." Asher grinned at him standing so he was now towering over Niko. His eyes fell to the spot where he had been sitting, before they returned to Niko, his expression fell onto a serious one. It was an extreme rarity for Ash to ever become serious, but yet here he was hovering over Flynn's boy with his eyebrows pulled tight and determination in his eyes.

"I can see that you're taken, but if you ever want to talk or anything, call me. I'll pick up." Ash thought about letting his finger trace over the boys hickeys, but thought better of touching Niko again as his hand hung in midair. He brought it back shoving it into his pocket.

"I'll be waiting." Asher winked at Niko, the serious expression gone, almost like it had never been there. With a quick acknowledgment to the girl, he disappeared around the corner leaving the taken boy with his phone number and his name at the bottom written in neat letters. On the back a messy picture of the loved male genital sat in regards to Niko's earlier comment about drawing his dick.

Niko hummed thoughtfully at Asher's reply. While he could very truly take care of himself, if Jacob ever became a real problem, he had no doubt in his mind Pearce would literally kill him. In fact, if the stupid asshole ever happened to be in Pearce's line of sight, he'd probably at least walk away with a dislocated jaw.

Niko all but gave up on his drawing. It was certainly not going to turn into anything he could hand in, and the realization made him drag his pencil across the page too harshly. It was probably a good thing he was high, otherwise he would have been much more pissed.

Asher's quiet presence beside him didn't go unnoticed, especially with the way Amy kept shooting looks his way. That didn't mean Niko was going to do anything about it.

The flirting was obvious, though why Niko wasn't sure. People didn't even usually want to talk to him, much less anything else. He wasn't extraordinarily attractive or witty or funny or anything desirable. The only thing Niko had going for him was he must be good between the sheets, otherwise Pearce wouldn't put up with him.

Asher moved, catching Niko's attention again, and the boy watched him closely as the older male dug out a piece of paper and wrote something down before handing it over.

Niko's eyebrows shot up, but he slowly reached out and took it. True to Asher's word, his name was scrawled across it, followed by a set of numbers.

Their little game became serious before Niko saw it coming. Perhaps Asher was even more attractive serious, eyebrows drawn in, bright blue eyes captivating. Niko knew if he stood, he'd be shorter than him, but maybe not slimmer. He could see it, for a moment. That if maybe Pearce hadn't demanded to be in his life (because hell knew how much 13yr old Niko had told him to go the fuck away) this was an option he would've taken. A tattoo'd bad boy with a cigarette between his teeth and jokes on the tip of his tongue. Asher smiled, winked, then walked away.

Niko flipped the piece of paper around in his fingers for a moment, and that was when he caught sight of the drawing scribbled onto the back. He snorted out a laugh, shaking his head a little.

Amy was staring up at him, glassy eyes blown wide and eyebrows creased in consideration. "You wouldn't," she accused.

"Nah," he answered. Because Niko was more than just taken. He was completely gone. Sold his soul to the devil with no intentions of getting it back. Even if Pearce pushed him away for good, Niko would never be whole enough to try making it with someone else. He was ruined for good.

"You know, legally, I'm not sure you can keep me here this long," Niko grumbled as took another piece of English homework from Miss Miyers, eying it like maybe it would eat him alive before sitting down, pushing his fingers through his hair and holding onto the short strands at the base of his neck as he stared at yet another shitty Freshman's idea of literature.

He probably shouldn't be complaining. If he got to choose who to spend detention with, it was her. He'd liked her even back when he was fourteen, with a chip on his shoulder and determined to fail every class. She was one of the good teachers, who demanded he actually do his homework while making it feel like it was his decision. Reverse psychology that felt like it was rebellion. Even Niko could admit it had been a brilliant tactic.

Still, two hours worth of helping her grade papers was wearing on his nerves.

"Legally you can't miss as much school as you have, either," the woman hummed thoughtfully as she typed away on her computer. Probably working on a new book or something. Niko was one of the few students who knew she published on the downlow. Romance fiction or something. Fuckin' teachers. "Don't think Mr. Sikes hasn't noticed. He just don't want to deal with dragging in any authorities."

Niko snorted, picking up his pen and making a few red marks across the paper. "Probably because this school would get shut down in a heart beat if anyone with a badge walked in here."

"Probably," Miss Miyers replied with a shrug, and Niko rolled his eyes but went back to grading. After his run-in with Asher, the day had gone just like most days did. Boring, unimaginative, with him skipping gym to smoke a cigarette under the bleachers and trying to avoid Jacob Eves. The last thing his poor body needed was another bruise, and he was too damn tired to run.

He'd almost made it out, even, before Mr. Reynolds grabbed him by the back of his shirt and all but dragged him to Mr. Sikes office, reminding the principal that Niko had very literally skipped out yesterday. So he landed his ass with two detentions. Luckily only Miss Miyers was willing to stay at the school that late.

Still, by the time Niko realized he'd read the same paragraph more than three times, he was done. He couldn't focus on the words, his mind kept drifting back to Pearce. Seriously, how had he made it a month without him? Not well, obviously. Niko couldn't even really remember all that time apart...seemed like he had just been...functioning. Not alive. Not feeling. By the time he finishes the paper, it's dark outside.

"Seriously, Miss Miyers, can I go now?"

She glanced at the clock for a moment, obviously debating, but eventually saved her work on the computer and nodded. "Go on, get out of here. Be good!"

Niko was gone before she even finished talking, swiping his backpack off the ground and running for the front door. He had half the mind to call Pearce, demand to be picked up, but there was no telling where the older male was and he didn't want to disturb him during work.

So he dug down in the bottom of his backpack, came out with a few bills, and hopped on a bus.

{OOC: Apologises in advance for self-loathing drunk!Pearce.}

Pearce tried not to lean on Lucy too much, he really did. But the fact that his legs and his brain seemed to be on a completely different path was not helping him, and quite a few times he did stumble. But at least he stayed standing, because he really didn't think Lucy was going to be able to lift him off the floor and he definitely wouldn't have been able to get back up in the state he was in. Heh. That was a pretty good description of how his life felt right now. He was always down and it was like Niko had put on a pair of steel toe boots and started kicking him. He supposes he deserves it, he knew that everything with Niko wouldn't last for forever. Eventually he would grow up and realise that hanging out with some good-for-nothing old man that never did anything with his life wasn't cool.

Niko said he loved him but what was love to a kid that only knew sex and drugs?

Sure, right now Pearce may be the best thing Niko's ever had (still arrogant, even when he hates himself). But really, what does he even have to compare him to? Dollar menu meals at McDonalds? Shitty foster homes that don't really give a fuck about you? He couldn't find it in himself to be mad at Niko though, instead he was pissed at himself. And fucking Asher.

It's a miracle that he can stay balanced on the back of his bike the whole ride home. A miracle that includes him holding on for dear life to Lucy and, embarrassingly, leaning his head against her shoulder and closing his eyes tight so he didn't throw up. When they finally did get to his house, he had to get off the bike first and very nearly tumbled back down the driveway, but he managed to stay standing long enough for Lucy to get off the bike and help him. "You're the best Lucy... Don't know what I'd do without you." Pearce slurs. That's when he notices Niko. "Oh, hey, you." He smiles.

The bus ride to Pearce's place is a long one, and Niko spends most of it fighting with his shitty mp3 player so that maybe his music will stop staticing out. The older woman three seats down keeps shooting him looks like he's trying to talk to aliens or something, and when Niko can't stand it anymore he throws a peace sign up and makes a good show of dragging his tongue between his fingers (even if the thought makes him shudder. Because, gross). It gets his point across, at least.

The rest of the ride he spends going through his backpack, digging shit out and reorganizing it. He doesn't own much, mostly a couple of textbooks and folders full of misplaced homework. The only thing in there worth anything is his art kits, which are beginning to get dinged up because he throws the bag around too much. Literally. Usually at Pearce.

He's going through his pockets looking for some loose change when he finds a piece of paper, with a dick picture and a phone number on it. He debates with himself, considers throwing it out the window, but eventually he finds a pen and tears a piece of tape off of one of his Geography papers and sticks the scrap to the back of seat, cock face up, with the words call for a good time and an arrow written below it.

If he were a better person, Niko thinks as he jumps off the bus ten minutes later, he would probably feel bad. But he wasn't a better person, so he doesn't. Besides, Asher should have known better -- hitting on the kid taken by your drug dealer? Not the smartest move. It still takes five minutes to walk to Pearce's, but Niko does so easily. He's only half surprised when he tries the door and it's locked, but he figured Pearce was out.

So he drops his backpack, pulls out a cigarette, and sits down in front of the door.

Twenty minutes later Pearce arrives, and the feeling that stirs in Niko's gut isn't one he's felt before. It's an awful kind of feeling, leaves a bad taste in his mouth, kind of hurts, actually. He can't decide if he wants to vomit or cry. Maybe both.

Fortunately for him, his mind settles on rage when he can't handle his feelings.

So when the motorcycle appears in front of him, his fucking man on the back of it, head settled on someone else's back, Niko's already on his feet. And he takes a moment to tell himself to calm down, that he could be overlooking something. It wasn't like he had walked in on Pearce banging her or something. Even kissing. No, it was just holding...late at night...

"You're the best Lucy... Don't know what I'd do without you."

It's the smile that sends Niko reeling. "Really?!" he demands, taking a few steps forward after kicking his backpack out of the way harshly. And it's not until then that he gets a good look at the girl on the bike, and she's fucking gorgeous. Bright eyes surrounded by thick liner, long hair three different colors, curvy and subtle, and Niko's even kind of attracted to her when he knows for 115% that he doesn't swing that way.

But does Pearce? They'd never had the conversation...Niko was strictly dickly, but people could be bisexual. Pansexual. Omnisexual. His head was reeling. He did not have the self confidence to keep Pearce to just himself when he could be up against the whole damn world. And since when does he have the right anyway? They weren't a couple. Still, that doesn't stop him from screaming:

"A fucking girl!?"

"You're the best Lucy... Don't know what I'd do without you." Pearce slurs out, a strange, drunken smile on his face. His eyes were glazed over in the seething alcohol that coursed though his veins, but Lucy still managed to give him a half smile.

"Well, for one you'd be dead in a motorcycle crash." she chuckled at her comment, mainly because she knew she was right. There was obvious arrogance in the tone she used, and of course she knew it to. She knew she was full of herself sometimes, and frankly didn't give a rats ass about it.

As she was about to haul Pearce inside, she heard a seething, angry sounding voice come from the entrance of the apartment yell "A fucking girl!?"

She glanced over, noticing a boy, taller than her but short for the average man, standing by the entrance to Pearce's apartment, looking down right pissed. It didn't tale a rocket scientist to figure out who it was. Lanky and thin he was, and frankly Lucy expected something different than what she was seeing. For one she always pictured him older, not this 16 year old kid, probably either a Softmore, or heck maybe a Freshman in high school. Though, Lucy reminded herself this was Pearce we were talking about, and if there was one thing Lucy knew about him, it was that he was full of surprises.

"You must be Niko." Lucy noticed, a hint of sarcasm in her voice as if was pretty damn obvious they both knew that. "And thanks for noticing my obvious gender. Now if you don't mind, help me get your drunken boyfriend up to his apartment. He weighs a fucking ton!" She gave a harsh tug on Pearce for emphasis, which actually put a bit of a strain on her muscles.
