Agatha Amaranth

"Are you alright? What's troubling you?"

0 · 1,894 views · located in London, England

a character in “Young Master/Mistress and Butler/Maid.”, as played by ZacharyTC

Description

Name: Agatha Amaranth
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Blood Type: B+
Why you're here: Her parents in Greece died when she was 15, leaving noone to look after her except her Yia Yia (Grandmother), who happens to live in London. After a year of coping with the loss, she enrolled into the Academy to keep her mind off the event.
Level: 2
Master/Mistress assigned: Anna-Beth Anderson

Appearance
Hair: Her hair is dark-brown, kept short so she can manage brushing it.
Eyes: The big eyes sparkle like emeralds, having a shade of green which often lands in complements from boys. (Though she is too shy to say anything back)
Dressing Style: She typically wears a knee-length skirt and blouse, wearing a T-shirt underneath so to look decent.
General Appearance
Weight: 107 lbs
Height: 5'2"
Appearence: She is a rather trim girl, having an earthly tone to her skin for having been outside in her parents' garden in Athens. She is often told she is cute, though, again, she is too shy to say anything back.

Character Traits
Likes: Gardens, Swimming, Cooking, Flowers, Politeness, Music, Helping others
Dislikes: Rudeness, Violence, Seeing people's pain
Habits: Tending to flowers
Personality: She is a kind soul, always wishing to help ease people's suffering without thinking of the consequences. Agatha is still shy in social gatherings, preferring to listen to other people's conversations than to be involved in them. This leaves her very quiet unless someone talks to her directly.

History
Bio: Her father's side of the family has always been heavily involved in the Greek Orthodox Church, going on missionary trips and giving to the needy. Her mother's side, being Italian, is made up mostly of Catholics. Because of the confusion in learning both traditions, she trained herself to take a more non-denominational approach to her faith in Jesus. The politcal feud between Greece and Turkey, though, gave her a disillusioned view of the world, realizing that some people are unwilling to get past petty differences in order to cooperate towards peace.
Birthplace: Athens, Greece
Ethnicity: Half-Greek, Half-Italian

Other
Extra info: She will normally be seen in the gardens after school, if not with her mistress. They sort of remind her of Greece, in addition to her mother.
Subjects:

During School- Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, English 2, German 4 AP, Physical Education, World History
After School- Art, Music, Dance, Cooking

((lol Oh, yes, she is! Kawaii! (I love to squeal like a fanboy whenever I say that Japanese word about an anime character, especially female ones. I wonder if I can find a picture close to her appearence so she would be one?) X3 ))

Agatha held Andrew's free hand and said, "Tea would be fantastic!" Her eyes glistened as she spoke. You could tell she looked forward to the date.

After awhile, Katherine turned her head away from the window. Her head was still resting on her arms, but she looked up to the front of the classroom, and up at the clock. Only ten more minutes left. She wanted to go to lunch really badly, feeling a tab bit hungrier than before. Having her head down on her desk made her undergo tiredness, something she didn't want. Lifting her head up, she moved the few strains of wavy hair away from in front of her face.

The girl was so very bored, these were the longest ten minutes of her life! She mindlessly watched the clock tick away, having a very dull expression. Who would of thought that this happy-go-lucky girl would possess such an expression. Maybe she should continue her drawing after all? Or read a book....or something. She very much so wanted to place her head back on the desk and fall asleep.

Eliab looked at the clock and muttered, "Vel, kan like godt gjøre noe å passere tid..." Well, might as well do something to pass time... He took out a notebook wih all his sketches of landscapes he saw in Knoxville, in addition to sketcheas of different places in the Great Smokey Mountains, including the Ocoee River, where he once went whitewater rafting. This time, his inspiration to draw came from what happened in the school year, so far, especially involving Katherine. He began by lightly sketching out the clear sky and hills in the background, planning on erasing part of it to make way for more content whne he thinks of something to put there. As to what, he no idea, since he did not know what kind of gardens the girl liked best.

"Hey, Katherine? From what occurred yesterday, I would assume you love roses, or flowers in general?" Eliab kept the notebook close enough so she would not see what he was drawing.

Katherine Prescott

Hearing her name, Katherine blinked the bored expression away, glancing behind her. No, it wasn't Daileass who spoke her name. She then looked to Eliab, who was indeed, the one who said her name. Listening to his question, she thought for a moment. "Uh, yeah I love roses and all other flowers. There used to be a rose garden back at home, but I was never allowed to play around it, just encase so I wouldn't hurt." She let out a small giggle, but it was quiet enough so the teacher wouldn't get made at her. "Why do you ask?" She questioned, but voice low. Having her head tilted to the side slightly, as she was curious to know why the boy had asked her such a thing.

Sasha was finishing up her worksheet. It was quite simple. Identify all the marine animals they could on the two sides of the paper. She knew most of the ones there, which made her feel very good about it. She loved marine life, it was something that fascinated her a lot. Over the summer, before she came to Masuta Academy, she had spent a week at a marine life camp. She got to go swimming with the fish and everything!

Well, I guess I can tell half the truth. I wouldn't be lying, in this case, but I can't look like I'm flirting. Eliab flipped through some pages in his notebook as he replied to Katherine's question. "I draw landscapes whenever there is not much else to do. This notebook contains mostly sketches of the Great Smokeys when I was still living in Knoxville, but I figure switching to sketching out gardens would not hurt, for a change." He showed her an example one such sketch he made of the Great Smokeys, which, while without color, seemed realistic. "This is one such sketch of what you can see in those mountains."

((For the purpose of showing what the sketch displayed would, to an extent, look like (minus the color and more pencil-like, mind you), here is a link to a photo I looked up on bing: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Gre ... BA&first=1 On a side note, Eliab's in quite a pickle, isn't he? He's trying to hide his feelings for Katherine without having to lie, and he almost blew it! Poor guy! XD ))

"Great," Andrew grinned, "that would be...just great. We can jet off for a quick bit before basketball, or I can ditch practice all-together and we could stay out as long as we'd like?" Anna-Beth glanced at her brother, eyebrow cocked slightly. "Or, rather, until the reasonable hour upon when we return home." His sister smiled contentedly, then turned back to her own little daydream-y world.

She scrawled out a quick note, her handwriting every bit as feminine as she herself looked, the edges of letters curling slightly, i's dotted with small o's instead of simple dots, and smiley faces scribbled along the edges. I hope it won't be a problem, she wrote, but I'll be dashing off for a small bit during break. I hope it isn't an inconvenience, but I'll be back as soon as I can! I didn't remember if I had mentioned it before, so I just wanted to let you know. :) Love Always, Anna-Beth Anderson. She folded it and sealed it with a kiss, a soft imprint of her rose-y lipstick leaving a mark on the front of the paper, then passed it around to Charles' desk. Smiling gently, her eyes lit up, she watched him, waiting until he unfolded the paper, to turn away.

Katherine Prescott

Katherine looked at the clock, only a few more minutes until lunch. Then, returning her attention back to Eliab, she lowered her gaze at the sketchbook he was holding. "That's so good! This place looks so beautiful, I wish I could go see it!" She smiled, as she tried to maintain a hushed voice. She stared at the realistic Great Smokey's waterfall-like sketch, before glancing up at the boy. "Do you mind if I-" The loud ringing of the bell had interrupted her, instead of continuing her sentence, she turned back in her seat and began packing her things up. No homework, thank god.

"Please leave your essays on the desk. Don't worry about passing them up, I'll just go around and pick them up myself." Miss Shaffer had said, after the bell finished ringing. Once everything was in check, the petite mistress stood up from the desk, and stretched her arms up. "Ah! Finally lunchtime! I'm so hungry~" She let out a little giggle, before looking to her butler. "You ready to go? We better hurry so we don't worry Asami." Picking up her bag, she looked to Charles and Eliab. "So, we'll see you guys in the garden, I guess." She smiled, though she did not hear the conversation earlier, she had a feeling it was something to do with everyone getting together in the garden for lunch.

Sasha Pavlichenko

Just as the bell rang, Sasha had already packed her things up, since she finished her work faster then everyone else. She got up from the desk and walked over to the teacher, Mr. Muller, so she could hand in her assignment. While walking towards the door, her stomach let out a faint growl. The poor girl was starving! She made her way out of the classroom. She was only on the second floor, not that far from the cafeteria. Heading down the stairs, the pinked-haired girl began quietly humming to herself.

Charles received Anna-Beth's message and opened it. Once he read it, a grin came across his face. I wonder what she has to do? Does Anna have some sort of surprise?

---

Agatha heard both the twins then said to Andrew. "I agree with Anna. I don't want you in trouble with your coach." She maintained her smile, thinking about what the date may be like.

---

That was close. Glad she liked the sketch, though. Eliab packed up his stuff, as well, when the bell rang.

"So, we'll see you guys in the garden, I guess."

The yankie nodded, a grin visible. "I look forward to it." He walked with Charles to the cafeteria upon request. Eliab's thoughts were consumed by imagination of what the time at the gardens would be like.

---

Rebecca heard the bell ring. "Whoo hoo! Lunch time!" She held the door open for Ackley.

As soon as the bell rang, Anna-Beth popped from her seat with a squeak, her face drawn up in a childish grin. She snatched her bag, kissed her brother's cheek, then hastily dashed out the room, halfway between sprinting and skipping as she tried to daintily make her way towards the front of the school, where a car was idling in wait to whisk her to her surprise.

Andrew smiled, though he rubbed his cheek where his sister's kiss lingered, trying to smudge off the color that she slicked on like a nervous habit whenever she stood still. Offering Agatha his arm, he rolled his eyes and stared at her, delighted by the fact that they might get a bit of alone time. Mel crossed his mind again, and he almost faltered, wondering where she was, worry nagging the back of his mind. He hoped she was OK, he should probably get her number so he could check up on her each morning...

Once the bell had rung the blonde male seemed more enthusiastic, feeling relived that lunch had finally came, and that their class was over, though not overly detesting it, the butler just found the while thing a tad boring, if nothing else. Clearing up his things Dail vaguely heard Katherine, and turned to the girl moments after to give a simple nod in response. “Yeah, alright. Best getting going.” He added, before ensuring his essay was neatly present upon his desk as the teacher had asked, and that his area was reasonably tidy despite doing very little at his desk anyway.

Heading out the classroom the butler waited for his mistress, watching quietly as the others ventured out and into the hall, and remembering that everyone was meeting up at the gardens. “Suppose we’ll have fun.” Dail mumbled quietly, with slight nerves as he stood idly outside the classroom. Turning a little, and peering inside he gave a small wave towards Katherine, motioning for her to follow, or really, just to hurry up a little, knowing him.

Packing up his things as the bell rang, the short master quickly gathered his belongings before following on out with his maid, and heading without doubt to the cafeteria. Of course, with his eagerness, it hadn’t took that long to arrive at the cafeteria with hunger taking it’s effect.

“I’m staaaaaarving,” Ackley sighed, a little exaggeratedly. “Do you know what your getting?” Turning to the girl, he eyed up Rebecca curiously while pondering over his own options of food.

"I have no clue!"

Rebecca then noticed, right next to where she was standing, a pink-haired girl with a massive tray of vegetarian food. "Sheesh! What sport do you play that works up your appetite? That's a lot to handle in one sitting!" A smirk entered her face. "Bet I can handle more than you can! How 'bout a little food war, for the heck of it?"

---

Agatha wrapped her arm around Andrew's letting him lead the way. Oh, gosh! This is just too good to be true! Am I dreaming? No, it's real! I can't believe it!

Andrew strode from the room, leading Agatha through the halls delicately, reveling in her warmth so close to his side. "Hungry?" he asked her, "Or do you just want to stroll about?"

Rebecca stood up. "Well, Eliab just stopped me from doing that." She looked downwards, blushing in embarrassment. "Sorry for the hold up, Ackley. Let's go."

Eliab noticed Daileass and smiled. "Oh! Hi, Dail! I was just stopping my sister from entering a food war!" He stood up. "Charles is already at the gardens, waiting for us. I'll get my tray." Once his tray from a nearby table, he added, "Rebecca's impulses are extremely predictable." He noticed Katherine after explaining what happened, and he kept his reaction inside, so not to reveal his feelings for her; that was a mistake the first time. Gosh...

Rebecca gave her brother a glare. "Må jeg virkelig trenger mer forlegenhet?" Do I really need more embarrassment? The angry expression vanished as she picked up her tray. "Come on, Ackley. Let's go to the gardens." As she walked out of the cafeteria, the maid realized there was a feeling inside of her which she could not identify. Why is it there?

---

Agatha shrugged, maintaining her closed-mouth smile. "I'm not that hungry. A stroll would be great." The Grecian blushed, unsure what else to say to Andrew.

Andrew liked walking with Agatha, she seemed to fit beside him well. He swallowed tightly, brow furrowed a bit, trying to figure out what was going on with him. His palms were a bit clammy, his knees trembled, his face wouldn't quit heating up into a ferocious blush...nervousness did not sit well with the blonde boy. Rarely, if ever, had he been this nervous before. Why SHOULD I be nervous? he thought tensely, it's just a girl. I've spent time with plenty of girls, I shouldn't be nervous over this one. Daring a glance down at her form, his heart thumped faster, and he quickly stared forward, biting the inside of his cheek in annoyance. What on the bloody earth was happening with him?

Anna-Beth skipped back onto the school campus, the hood from her sweater pulled up over her head, concealing all but her lips--which were turned up in a sly grin--in shadow. With quick, but still delicate steps, she hurried towards the gardens, notebooks clutched tightly to her chest, book-bag bumping against her rump as she scuttled along. Adrenaline still filled her veins--she had done something her parents wouldn't like very much, something they would scoff at. Perhaps her mother might even faint...Her brother would certainly be surprised, she had no doubt, and Charles...Her grin faltered a bit. She hoped Charles would still like her once he saw. Finally, she arrived in the gardens, and began to search for her friends, excited yet nervous.

As Eliab followed Dail, he could not help but wonder what he would say to Katherine, and how. Should I be smooth? No, she'd see right through that, plus I may come off as cocky! How about... Nah, too cowardly-looking! The whole time he was thinking, the yankie kept a calm look about him. Just be yourself, Eliab. That's what she would want you to do.

---

Rebecca looked up and smiled at Ackley. "You're fine." She laughed a little. "Wouldn't be Eliab if he did not do what he does, that's for sure!" An idea came to mind, out of the blue. "Ackley, with that sweet tooth of yours, have you ever had any peach cobbler, or pecan pie? Those desserts are as Southern as any can get. Well, Southern American, that is. I know the recipes for both if you ever want to try any sometime." Wait! Did I just ask him out, or was it just a friendly gesture?

---

Charles behaved a little anxiously as he waited for everyone, especially Anna. He chewed on a pack of mint Mentos he bought from one of the vending machines to freshen his breath a little. Once he swallowed, he checked the time. Hopefully, we'll have enough time by the time she gets here. I just hope... His train of thought was interupted when he saw a hooded figure. A sly grin entered his face as he knew who it could be.

Walking up towards her, her playfully asked, "Well, I wonder where Anna could be? I just have no idea!" Pretending to look around as he inched closer, his gaze turned to Anna. "Ah! I see her smile," The Scotsman placed a hand on her shoulder as he looked behind her. "but where O where are her sparkling auburn-honey eyes?" Looking behind, Charles let out a high-pitched "Hmph!", much like Curly from "The Three Stooges" would, then went back to his normal voice. "I just have no idea!" He looked back at Anna, a playful grin on his face. "Do you know, by any chance?"

---

Agatha looked up and saw how flustered and red Andrew's face was. "Are you okay?" Is he behaving that way because he...? Hey! That could be it! But, how do I know for sure?

"I'm fine," Andrew murmured, "just wondering where my sister could be...she hasn't called yet." It was a lame excuse, he knew, but she might take it, he did worry about his sister usually. "Are you alright? Is it too warm for you? Are you cold? Is everything alright?"

Anna-Beth grinned broadly, giggling as Charles playfully searched for her. He was so cute, so fun, she absolutely adored him! "No, no," Anna retorted, keeping her voice slightly higher-pitched than normal, "I don't believe I do! I saw a girl wandering about earlier, small and blonde, with those 'auburn-honey eyes' you were talking about. Could that have been her maybe?" She smiled and inched closer, "She looked like she was searching for someone, probably someone Scottish, emerald green eyes, fiery red hair, very sweet, funny, rather charming. Do you know anyone like that? She would probably be searching for a man like that."

Nervously, Anna-Beth tugged the hood a little farther back, revealing her nose and a bit of her eyes, still hiding the rest of her head beneath the cloth. Her hands were shaking slightly, and she gulped from nerves, though tried to appear steady still.

Charles playfully scoffed when Anna replied to the negative, but then acted like he was thinking on her query about a "girl" she saw. "You know what? That actually may be her!"

"She looked like she was searching for someone, probably someone Scottish, emerald green eyes, fiery red hair, very sweet, funny, rather charming. Do you know anyone like that? She would probably be searching for a man like that."

A mischevious grin entered Charles' face. "I might. Let me think for a moment..." He was about to say something when he noticed Anna's hands trembling. Concern replaced his mischevious and playful attitude he had up 'till that point. "You're shaking. What's wrong?"

---

"I see." Maybe that all it is. Still, there could be more, but I won't bother him about that if he doesn't want to talk about it. Agatha's blush disappeared as she smiled. "I'm fine!" She had an urge to kiss Andrew on the cheek, but decided against it. What do I do? I don't want to look rash!

Anna's smile wilted a bit, and she pulled her left hand up to her face, covering her lips nervously. Nothing was wrong, per se, she was just...well... "I've done something," she said, "and I'm afraid you won't like it...perhaps I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, but...I'm rather nervous that you won't like, that Mother and Daddy won't like it, that Andrew...Andrew won't like it..." Her voice faltered, and she took a quick huff of breath. "I'm rather silly, aren't I?"

"I'm glad," Andrew said, his voice warming as he saw her smile from the corner of his eye, "I'd never forgive myself if I were boring you or some such."

"So?" Charles hugged Anna. "It's a good kind of silly, to me! Come on! It can't be that bad!"

---

"What are you talking about, Andrew?" Agatha could not believe he just said what he said. "I feel safe when I'm with you! You're the only one who has ever made me feel this way since I came to London, and I love you!" She gasped and covered her mouth. She had just admitted her feelings for him unintentionally. Oh, no! What will he think of me, now?

((Well, this is quite a pickle for Agatha, isn't it? Ironically enough, she may probably be in the same situation that Eliab is in with Katherine, right now. Their situations may be similar if a certain prediction of two I have is correct.))

With a gulp, Anna-Beth reached up with trembling hands and pulled back the hood, revealing her secret: her hair. Her long sheet of golden locks had been cut until they just brushed the tops of her shoulders, the bangs falling stylishly over one glimmering eye, both of which had filled with terrified tears. Light-headed--quite literally--she felt odd without her curtain of hair, but she liked it, loved it, actually. It made her look even closer to her brother, if anything, the length more closely resembling his. A small, royal blue bow was tied around her head like a headband, bringing a childish, yet still somehow regal, look to the girl.

"Is ti bad?" she squeaked, running quivering fingers through the chopped ends, "Do you hate it? I look awful, don't I? Oh, I do!"

-------

Andrew froze, his face locking into a state of shock, jaw locked, mouth slightly agape. "and I love you!" Her words echoed through his mind, and he struggled to think of something to say.

"I--" The only girl to say she loved him was Anna-Beth, his twin, the only one he thought he'd ever need. "I--" Love? She loved him? How did love even work?! "I--"
