Name: Ken Warren
Nickname: Hot Shot
Age: 28
Role: US Military Sniper
Sexuality: Straight

Image
Appearance: Ken is a 5'11" in height and is quite muscular because of his military training which has given him a mindset of looking after his body. He has short messy brown hair that he tends not to take much care of, but it still surprisingly suits him. He wears mostly military clothing including camouflage and body armour, however when he is in a safe place (Or as safe as it gets) he wears a black or brown t-shirt and camouflage trousers, he also always wears his army boots that enable him to be effective in all terrains. He has multiple war wounds on his body including a large scar on his chest which came from when he was captured by bandits and tortured for their pleasure. There is also a tattoo of his military number on his shoulder and has a tattoo on his right arm that states "Death From Afar". He always takes his backpack with him wherever he goes which holds all his provisions he needs like food and extra ammunition (although that is coming hard to find nowadays.) He holds a large military serrated knife on his waist which he can easily reach in an emergency. He has two guns a U.S army issued M24 sniper rifle which he uses to keep away from the dead, he also has an M9 pistol for more close quarters affairs and when he runs out of ammo with his rifle. Despite having these weapons he tends to try not to use them as the sound of a gunshot attracts the dead and ammo is rarely found.[/I]

[b]Likes: Being alone in a high spot
Reading
The quiet
The feel of the warmth of a fire
Rifles
Cigars

Dislikes: Getting attached to people
Stragglers
Graveyards
Cockiness
Well lit places

Fears: Losing someone close too him
Being Surrounded
Never Waking Up

Personality:Ken is a quiet man who has spent much of his life with very few people. He tends just to stay with a select few people who he trusts. Trust is a big issue for Ken, if he doesn't trust them he tends to be distant, he even found some of his old unit hard to trust despite him considering them his brothers. He finds it hard to accept new people around them and prefers to be alone. Ken is honest and will tell people straight what he thinks and wont sugar coat anything even with children. There is a certain feeling of coldness around him that makes some people feel uncomfortable.

Ken can appear to be quite ruthless when he feels he is in danger and will keep fighting until he gets away, in this new world of death he sees no other option than to fight or you die. He also hates too look after people and sees it as a way of getting people killed, the more people that are around the more people there are that can die.

Image
History: Ken is from a quiet town in Texas in the middle of no where, Ken hated it, barely any people, no where to go, nothing to do. He spent most of his days sneaking out with his dads hunting rifle, shooting at birds and beer cans that he would steal from home. He lived with his mum, dad and his two younger sisters one of whom was just a year younger than him and the other who was 10 years younger. He loved his family but never really connected with them, they never went out as a family and never really spent time with each other, also the fact that his father was a drunk didn't help.

When he turned 18 he left home and enlisted himself in the army infantry. It was the first time he was really accepted and where he excelled. He made his first deployment in Iraq where he felt he became a man, he was doing something that he thought mattered. It was here that he made his first confirmed kill, an insurgent opened fire on him and his patrol, Ken killed him from a distance that most soldiers would have struggled from, which led him to being entered into scout sniper training when he returned as well as a promotion. In the next few years he continued to prove himself and eventually he became sergeant and controlled his own small unit.

Then the day came, the day where his world turned around. The army were called in to control what was described as a "disease control mission". It didn't sound to serious most of the men thought it would just involve guarding a few checkpoints, but what they saw when they hit the ground was worse than they could have imagined. Ken and his unit were sent to patrol a street block and take out any hostiles. They wasn't told much about these "hostiles" just that they couldn't get too close. When they hit the streets the realization of what was happening struck them, hordes of the dead were ripping people to shreds, the cries of women and children rang in their ears and the smell of death was around them. Ken ordered his troops to open fire and they did, bullets went ripping through the bodies of the dead. At one point communications went down and they had to keep fighting with no aid, eventually ammunition ran low and they were overrun. The hordes surrounded them and ripped most of the squad apart and the last survivors Ken and his best friend managed to escape. However they were not safe yet and Ken had to make the hardest decision he ever imagined. Ken arose from the rubble never looking back and just saw that he had to live on his own and survive. He walked for miles and miles until he eventually reached what looked like civilization in Illinois, maybe there was supplies he could find or maybe survivors.

Image
Family: Ken has two younger sisters ans a mother and father however he hasn't seen them in years and doesn't even know if they are still alive.
Who You Lost: Ken has lost almost everything, he wasn't much of a family man and left his family at a young age to join the army and hasn't spoken to them in years, so some of them may be alive. However what he sees as his true family, his brothers in arms, are all gone, he is the last survivor of his unit.
Who you killed: Ken has had to fight his way through many of the undead especially as he was one of the first soldiers sent in to prevent things spiraling out of control, but out of all of them there is one who stands out, his best friend Corporal Lance Horde who was bitten when they were fleeing from a large group of zombies. Ken took it upon himself to stop Lances pain and preventing him from turning, it was by far the hardest thing he ever had to do.

Tori listened as the two younger members chatted it up. She couldn't help but smile, despite all the terrible events of today, she was glad to have Jaimie back. She reached into her messenger bag and started handing out some of the food to the other members, starting with the youngest. She had a mix of things, some granola bars, some canned fruit, anything non perishable she could find she had taken. She handed Jaimie and Avalon both a granola bar and sat down a big can of fruit and handed them a can opener.

“Eat up, you look like you haven't eaten in a while,” Tori said jokingly ruffling Jaimie's hair.
“Let me know if you need help opening that.” Then she went off to take care of the other things that needed to be taken care of.

Zara poured herself a shot of scotch while she listened to William warn her. She rolled her eyes but held a small smile.

“Trust me Will, I would never do anything that would put the group in danger.” As if he didn't already know. She listened as Devan spoke about her parents. She could relate. She gave her a playful punch on the arm.

“Don't quit smiling Devan,” she said softly. “It does us all some good to see you so happy.” Then she walked off to help Tori set up.

The redhead was pushing some pews together to make some makeshift beds for the crew, Zara helped her do so. When she was sure there was enough, silently she made for the door where she and Zara barricaded it. It was a simple barricade to move if they needed to move in a hurry, but it would give them time if a hoard tried to get their way in in the middle of the night.

“Ill take first watch,” Tori said walking up to William. She put a hand on his shoulder giving him a small smile.

“You did really great out there today,” she said softly, so only the two of them could hear her. “I didn't think we were going to make it out of this in one piece today, but you really got us through this mess. I think we can trust this Ken for now, but we better keep an eye on him for now.” She gave his shoulder a small squeeze as she went to set up by the barricade.

“Oh, and I'll keep my eye out for Jace in case he tries to meet up with us tonight.”

"Thanks again for putting up with me." Moon said, Rain would have told her that it really hadn't been a problem for him and he was glad just to help her, but before he had the chance to Alicia had given him a brief kiss, said goodnight, then literally fell right to the floor.
Rain felt his face go red a bit, and even though Moon wasn't even paying attention, he was glad that the room was dark.
"Nighty-night." He repeated, a small smile on his face. He wondered how Moon could fall asleep on the floor, to him it looked painfully uncomfortable and he'd wake up with an aching back, but then Rain came to the conclusion that it was because she was drunk and probably anything seemed fine to her.

He left the children's room and went back to the rest of the group where he saw Tori handing out food to Jaimie and Avalon. For a second he debated with himself whether or not he should get something for himself to eat, then his stomach growled and Rain decided he should.
Once she handed out food to a few more people, Rain took a granola bar then sat down to eat.

By himself, quietly chewing on the granola bar that he was finding he didn't like, Rain wondered where his brother was.
Dead. Was the first thing that came to mind. He didn't want to believe it, of course, but Jonah was four, he wouldn't survive ten minutes.

Aware that everyone else had started eating William halfheartedly pawed through the food in his backpack, an unintentional yawn escaping his lips as he decided on eating a granola bar.

Licking his dry cracked lips he catiously looked up from his half eaten blan granola bar, watching Zara and Tori build a quick but sturdy barricade for the small church through his heavy tired eyelids. Will knew he should to be helping them with making sure the place was secure and that Ken was no longer a danger. But still even though aware of his responsibilities he couldn't get himself to stand up, his body felt heavy and exhausted, he could feel sleep creeping up on him. Another yawn escaped his lips as his brain began to shut down for the night, constantly ignoring Will's constant attempts to keep it active.

"I'll take the first watch." William's eyes widened to there normal size forgetting every aspect of sleep momentarily as he watched Tori stroll over to him.

" You did really great out there today," Tori said her voice and eyes soft. Reminding William how his mother use to speak to him when he use to wake up in the middle of the night from nightmares as a child. Though remembering this William wasent viewing Tori as his mother, no far from. He saw here as something way more.

“I didn't think we were going to make it out of this in one piece today, but you really got us through this mess. I think we can trust this Ken for now, but we better keep an eye on him for now.” Giving him a small reassuring squeeze on the shoulder she walked off towards the barrier.

Watching her leave William could feel his shoulder burn from where he had touched her. Shaking his head widely he shoved the rest of his dinner in his mouth refusing to think anything more about Tori touching him.

“Oh, and I'll keep my eye out for Jace in case he tries to meet up with us tonight.” She added no longer next to Will.

"Okay." He uttered, confused on why he had felt a little disappointed watching her walk away. Leaning back, so he was able to stare at the ceiling sleep started to overpower him again and before he knew it he was softly sleeping all thoughts of Tori and today's events gone for the moment.

"I'll tell you about the comics and you can play with the batman toy, but first let's eat! What's for dinner, Avy?" Jaimie asked obviously hungry. Avalon smiled before it was replaced by a thoughtful frown. She didnt really know what they were going to eat.

During the grocery store run she had been instructed to stay at the front of the store so she hadn't been able to grab anything. She let out a frustrated sigh looking up at Jaimie's waiting face. Unable to tell him she had no food she stuttered uselessly before noticing Tori holding two granola bars and a can of fruit.

"That's for dinner," Avalon said pointing relived to the food Tori possessed. Letting go of Jaimie's hand and taking both of the granola bars Avalon handed one to Jaimie, before focusing on her own food.

Finally realizing how hungry she was Avalon eagerly unwrapped her own granola bar taking a large bite out of it. Her tummy rumbled greedily despite the food in her mouth as Tori set down a huge can of fruit inbetween her and Jaimie.

“Eat up, you look like you haven't eaten in a while,” Avalon smiled weakly at Tori as she watched her playfully ruffle Jaime's hair causing her to wish Tori would hurry up and walk away so she could have all of Jaimie's attention again. Unaware why she felt that way she shrugged and took another bit of her granola bar, her thoughts moments ago being swallowed away with the granola bar in her mouth.

"let me know if you need help opening that." Avalon looked down at the can opener on top of the can of fruit.

"Wanna do the honors?" Avalon asked Jamie happily a smile resting on her face a downed granola bar wrapper resting in her hands.

Zara watched the exchange between Tori and Will with an edge of disgust. They were in the middle of the apocalypse, there wasn't time for them to get all cutesy. The entire group depended on them. She blew a strand of her loose hair out of her face and continued to make adjustments for the night.

'What if they would be stronger together,' Zara thought to herself. The thought confused them. The two of them got along well enough, maybe surviving wasn't all about pushing everyone away. Maybe finding someone who gave you the strength to go on when you wanted to collapse was the real trick to surviving. She quickly pushed the thoughts from her mind.

Tori couldn't help but look back at her leader with a sense of admiration as she walked away. She saw the look in his eyes but couldn't quite figure out what it was they held.

'He is exhausted.' she thought. She gave a small smile to herself and then found her perch in the entry way.

"Did that trigger happy soldier get escorted out by our dear leader?" Jace's voice sounded. Zara had seen him coming but made no effort to alert the others, but Tori was taken by surprise.

“I wish,” muttered Zara grumpily. “It's good to see you're still alive,” she added.

“No kidding,” Victoria said, frustration threatening to break through her calm demeanor. She didn't want to lecture Jace, she knew that not only would it not do any good, but it would probably just make him mad and cause him to leave them again. With a deep breath she looked the blood splattered teen in the eyes.

“Look Jace, I want you first to know that we would have had your back no matter what you decided back there,” She was trying to watch her words, trying to figure out how to word what was on her mind so not to offend her shotgun wielding warrior.

Because she wanted to tell him he was stupid, that he would have gotten somebody, if not all of them killed, that he had been selfish and he needed to start putting the needs of many before the needs of Jace. But she knew that she would only anger him. Instead she said....

“...please just be more careful next time, I was scared we were going to loose somebody today. Quite possibly you.” The angry texan had indeed had his gun pointed on Jace.

“It's good to have you back.” she finished and then took her seat in front of the newly barricaded door.

Zara watched the exchanged tensely. She agreed with Jace, they would have all been better off if they had just shot the man and gone on their way. She worried that her 'leaders' were a little too soft.

“I'm going to catch some shut eye, wake me when you need me for watch tonight.” Zara said yawning and going to find a high up place to sleep. She settled for the balcony areas a floor up from the rest. In all honesty she wasn't going to get much sleep. Her nerves were shot from the day and she didn't feel safe waiting for this “Ken” to kill them all in their sleep.

Instead she made herself comfortable and took out her charcoals, sketching the people bellow. Devan with her drunken stare and lustful eyes, the kids with their care-free smiles, Jace with his stern eyes and cool-guy attitude. She drew them all, she had drawn them a few different times, in the exact way she had seen them. Moon, Rain, Dusty, Will, Victoria, even Dodger. They all had pages in her sketch book.

She was still awake when Tori began to look for someone to take the next shift, her own eyes growing very tired.

Devan turned on her back on the wall. She crossed her arms looking over the scene. Her head was tilted slightly as she watched Tori passing out granola bars and canned fruit which was suppose to serve as the groups dinner for tonight. Devan decided she wouldn't get anything to eat as she was full on liquor. She smiled at what Zara said, thinking it was an oddly nice comment coming from her. Maybe she ain't as hard and cold as she seems. Devan thought as she watched the girl a moment.

Devan was pulled out of her thoughts of stuff that shall not be mentioned by the older-younger girl in the group, if that made any sense, Jasmine asking her a question. The first time, Devan simply did not hear the girl and let out a small "huh?" Before returning to her thoughts. At the second question, which was probably a repeation of the first, Devan looked down at her.

"Uh, now, if you want. Here, follow me." Devan said tiredly and drunkenly as she stirred the girl toward a pew. "You can sleep there." She added with a soft smile point toward the pew. She then walked over to the wall and leaned her back against it.

Devan was in a bit of a haze. She wasn't all too sure what was going on, as nothing was really happening around her. Her eyes just drifted slowly from person to person before landing on Will and Tori. She wrinkled her nose slightly at them. It was obvious they were attracted toward each other. Now, Devan was one to flirt a lot, and we all know this. But seeing two people that were obviously feeling it for each other and to see them strike it down so quick was just fucked up in her opinion.

As the two split ways, Devan saw Jace coming up to the door that was being barricaded. She honestly didn't understand the point of barricading the doors. They'd just be trapping themselves in a spooky church and not being able to make it out without bloodshed.

After a moment, Devan looked up to the rafters and balcony where she could barely see Zara sketching in her book. She stared at her as if she were going to do something interesting. In a way, she was. Devan honestly wanted to see the sketches the girl did, but she knew better. There's no way on this zombie ridden earth that I will ever see those damn sketches. Devan thought to herself honestly. After a long moment of staring, Devan decided she'd go sleep some where. She made it as far as the alter before she passed out on the ground in front of the alter, her bat on the ground beside her like someone knew she was going to pass out there.

When Devan woke up the next morning, her back was killing her. "Damn, I feel like I slept on a fucking floor." She said to herself before looking around and noticing she was, indeed, on the floor. "Oh, now I remember." She added, again to herself. She then stood up stretching and looked around. Everyone at least looked like they were asleep. Grabbing her bat from the floor, Devan thought she'd explore a little bit of the church in her hangover-ish stage she was in. She walked down a hallway and found a door that had the sign that read "Father John". Devan made a hissing sound as she read it.

Plan A: open door and hope for it to be empty of any living and or un-dead body. Plan B: bust throw the door swinging your bat and all and hope to kill that motherfucker with all you got! Or plan C: slowly open the door and hope for Santa Claus. Devan thought for a moment before deciding plan C was the best. She slowly reached for the doorknob and turned it every so slightly. The only sound she could hear was her pounding heart, her heavy breathing and the sound of the door clicking open as she turned the doorknob. Hope for Santa. Hope for Santa. Hope for Santa. Was what Devan repeated in her mind as she opened the door, clenching her bat in her other hand as she did so. She leaned forward toward the door to peak in through the crack she had made. She let out a big sigh of relief as she saw nothing.

Devan then threw the door open and walked up to the desk. She placed her bat on the desk as she leaned over it and looked at the blood stained desk. "There has got to be something in here that's useful." She said, talking aloud to herself. As she looked over the desk she her the slight moan and a shuffle. She sighed to her self and said quietly "Please be Santa. Please be Santa. Please be Santa." She then turned around slowly and made a disappointed face. "You are not Santa." She said in an equally disappointed voice as she came face to face with her worst fear. A zombie priest.

The thing charged at Devan, to which Devan threw a cup full of pens and pencils at it, one of which got lodged in his eye. This slowed the thing down just enough for Devan to slide over the desk and grab her bat as it stood and pulled the pencil out of it's eye socket, along with the things eyeball. "Eww, dude, you need to purchase an eye patch." Devan said, making the wrong choice to speak as it turned toward her and ran around the desk. As it ran around the desk toward Devan, Devan ran the opposite way. They both then stopped and looked at each other before it chased her around the desk a few more times. When Devan stopped, she didn't notice the thing was still coming after her. The jumped on her and she, unfortunately, dropped her bat.

When Devan fell, she fell onto a metal paperweight of a lion. When the zombie got on top of her, it pushed the paperweight into her lower back. She let out a cry as she tried to push the zombie off so she could move the paperweight that was digging into her skin, and was most likely breaking skin. Unable to do so, Devan's attention was refocused on the zombie priest as it tried biting her. "Awh, no-no, Mr. Pope. Devan don't like priests enough to let them bite her." She said, wincing at the pain in her back. She reached over and grabbed a pen that had fallen on the ground earlier. She stabbed it into the zombies eye, which made the thing back up enough and reach to pull it out. Devan took this chance to reach for her bat. Once she had her bat, she was instopable. She hammer down on the zombie priests head as she grunted various grunts and curses at the damn thing for pushing her onto that damn lion. Once the thing's head was pretty much pushed in and it laid emotionless on the ground, she picked the lion paperweight off the ground and dropped it onto the zombies head, zombie brains squirting out of it's head.

After a moment of looking her first kill of the day over, Devan remember the pain in her back. She reached back to feel wetness. Bringing her hand back forward to look at it, she saw fresh blood. Her blood. "Damnit." She winced slightly. She was about to leave the room and go see Dr. Dusty before when she heard static. She looked over to see a radio on the window ceil. She walked over and picked it up. It was battery operated and not too big, but it was heavy. She sat it down again and messed with the toning as she tried to tune into something. Anything. All she could get out was "FBI...Headquarters...St. Louis, Missouri...food....medical...safe...security..." then it repeated. Devan decided this was probably something the group would like to see. She carried the thing out as she hissed slightly the whole way back to the main room.

She hadn't noticed how bad she probably looked with blood all over her. And she suspected the wound in her lower back probably bleed through her shirt, most likely making a big blood stain. She walked over to Zara at the barricade and sat down beside her, wincing slightly at the pain in her back. "I meet a zombie priest. He's not as holy as you'd think." Devan said in a slightly upset and shaken voice. She had came to Zara because she was just attacked by one of her worst fears and she thought if anyone could protect her from another one it was Zara. It was almost like an instinct to go to your mother when you have had a bad dream, not that Devan sees Zara as a mother. That would be weird. But she does see Zara as the badass fighter she is.

Jasmine was waiting for Deven to answer. Then Deven answered "now. Here, follow me."Deven pointed to a pew and said "you can sleep there." Jasmine got in the pew and got ready to go to sleep. She putted her Pringles next to her as Zara and Tori were barricading the doors. Jace came in the church. Jasmine turned to the doors to see how or what it was she was happy to see that it was Jace and not some zombie. Jasmine stared to fall asleep.

Jasmine was dreaming about her finding every one she loved. As she dreamed about running in an empty field with a lot of zombies was chasing her. She turned her head to see how close the zombies were to her. From out of no where Devan, Jace, Zara, Tori , Moon and Will popped up behind Jasmine and stared to fight off the zombies. Rain's sleep was without dreams or nightmares. At first it had been nice to just close his eyes and suddenly wake up quite a few hours later, but as he began to stand Rain realized that he hadn't moved at all the entire night, and he had fallen asleep where he had had his wonderful feast of granola bar, which was now half eaten and on the floor beside him.
His back hurt a bit, but then he saw Devan rush by, her own back covered in blood, and Rain quickly changed his mind into thinking his own pain wasn't so bad.

Tori then called to Devan, and then at William, and Rain wondered what the hell was going on. Something was playing on the radio that seemed to be important to both girls and probably to William as well, but without even trying to listen to the news all Rain was thinking about was where the radio had magically come from. His best guess was that someone had found it in the church, because finds like that don't just appear out of nowhere.
Rain heard something about plans, St. Louis, and an adventure. What was Tori talking about, planning an adventure trip to St. Louis?
Picking up the rest of the granola bar, Rain thought that it'd be better if he didn't ask about it, if anything was important, he knew that everyone would find out what it was sooner or later.

After walking around for a minute or so, Rain noticed Jasmine sitting on one of the pews while munching on a pringle chip. She looked a tad bit frightened, which made Rain wonder if he should go over to her and see what was wrong.
He rarely ever talked with the younger kids in the group... or actually, he rarely ever talked with anyone in the group, but Jasmine, Avalon, and now Jaimie again were the ones who Rain didn't usually start conversations with.
Still, Jasmine looked scared of something, and because Rain saw himself as pretty much the useless one out of everyone, he decided that the least he could do was be a bit more social.

"Something bothering you?" Rain asked as he took a seat next to Jasmine. He wasn't exactly the best at boosting people's moods and half hoped that she'd say no so he'd be able to walk away, but he also hoped that she'd talk to him because he was a friend... or good acquaintance.

Devan looked over at Tori as she walked away with the radio. Devan had almost forgot about the damn thing. She didn't really care if Tori was the one to tell everyone about the radio. She didn't even care if they didn't acknowledge the message. She just thought they really didn't have much of a plan, so maybe this would help them figure out where they should go. And, honestly, Devan was all up for going to St. Louis. As long as they didn't stay in anymore damn churches. Devan didn't even feel like laughing at Zara joke. She got it all right, but she was not in the mood for joking. When Zara asked her if she was okay, Devan just cocked an eyebrow at her slightly with a blank face that said "What do you think?" She was in pain and didn't even seem the slightest shocked when Zara lifted the back of her shirt up. It was obvious she was just checking out the wound.

"Nah, I wasn't kidding about the damn priest." Devan said with a bit of an attitude before wincing at the pain. This was probably one of the worst things that she'd got herself into. She found herself thinking she was an idiot for not dragging someone along with her to go look around. Devan took in a breath just as Zara said and braced herself. It stung like hell, but she let out a few hisses at the stinging. Even Devan herself found it odd she wasn't making any weak puns or dumb jokes about the situation. Hell, she even found it strange she wasn't flirting her ass off to Zara as the girl bandaged up her wound.

When Zara said she was no Dusty, Devan smiled at this, despite all the pain. "You may not be Dusty, but you're way hotter." She said in her usual flirty tone before wincing at the pain once more before Zara finished. "Okay." Devan added quietly about going to see Dusty. She watched Zara come and look her in the eyes. "Thanks." Devan as quietly as she could, which wasn't that quiet. She sighed and looked down as Zara said she needed to be more careful, like she didn't already know that. "I know, I know, I know. I was being dumb. I should've been more careful. I should've looked around more." She said and looked back up at her. "Maybe I should've just dragged you along to protect me." Devan said a bit flirtatiously and dramatically put her hands on her chest at the end before letting out a soft laugh. She then took the protein bar Zara handed her and thought "Great, protein bars. How...protein-y."

Upon hearing Zara's question about the radio, Devan let out a breath. She didn't really want to explain about the damn thing, but if she had to. "I found it back in Father Zombie John's office. It was saying off some message about the FBI and St. Louis and something about medical and safety and stuff. I don't even know. It was kinda' breaking up." She said with the wave of her hand as she took a bite of the granola bar and leaned back, completely forgetting about the damn wound on her back. She let out a hiss at the pain in an annoyed way. "I hate motherfucking zombies."

The night for Moon on the floor of the children's room of a church was a good one. She woke up rather quickly for someone who had been drugged and then preceded to pass out on a floor. Then again, the girl had fallen asleep in a lot weirder places in her life. Her sleep was very quiet, something to be thankful when every other dream she had was full of visions of her sister's getting eaten. She pulled herself off of the cot, and then proceeded to put her hands behind her back that pop her back and then her arms.

Wondering what she had gotten herself into, she tried to remember the last thing that happened before passing out. 'Drinking the drink. Walking to the church. Holding onto Rain, and then....' She froze suddenly when she remembered that she had kissed Rain. She knew this was probably bad news, she was drugged and she tried to molest him, he must think I am a jackass now. She made a note to ask him about it later and then walked out, trying to find her party.

She found them in the main room, all in various states of resting or non. She then had a big smile on her face as she noticed some people were talking about something, so she announced quite loudly, "Good Morning everyone!" She said happily. She was always a morning person, and seeing everyone was alright made her feel great. She didn't see that Devan was hurt, so she made a move towards Rain and Jasmine. She sat on the pew in front of them, and then looked back at them. "Hiya Jasmine, any unicorns in your dreams?" She asked and then turned to Rain a small blush forming on her face, and she realized that Tori still had her gun, and had to ask for it back. "Hey Rain. How are you?" She asked simply.

Dusty, after all the events of the night, went to sleep on the alter floor, a cold and flat place that knocked him out after a couple of minutes. His sleep was boring; imagines of his school, and finally his dead boyfriend, which caused him, even in his sleep, to become sad.

When he woke up at the sounds of movement, he noticed that Devan was injured, obvious by the blood. HIs mind went into doctor mode very quickly as he scrambled to get to her. He kneeled down to her, and after head nod to Zara he said, "Geez. And here I though I would have an easy day." He then proceeded to look at her back, which had actually been treated quiet well. He then took out some painkillers and a large bandages and handed them to her.

"So, what's this about St. Louis? You might want to take those," He said pointing to the pills, and then noticing that Zara had looked after her, which made his mind wonder why she had done it. She seemed like the type to tell a person to walk off a broken ankle, so this was unusual. "How did you two sleep?"

Ken stayed silent on the steps watching the group settle down for the night and prepare the area around them. Ken could do nothing but think about how anyone of them could turn on him and cause him harm so he refused to go too sleep, it wasn't the first time he had too do it so he knew he could handle another night without sleep but it probably would hamper him slightly, looking down a sniper scope when tired wasn't the best idea. One of the group approached him asking about his condition, it must have been the groups doctor, or whatever they could find as a doctor. Ken knew how too take care of himself, he knew basic military first aid and had picked up some extra skills along the way and he didn't want some kid having too check his battle wounds. Ken sat silently and just shook his head at the guy. He would occasionally look over at the girl who appeared too be sick, Ken was curious about her, he couldn't take a risk that any of them were bitten, if one was, all hell could break loose, and Ken would be in the center of it.

Ken spent most of the night smoking his cigar just looking around and thinking. Most of the people in the church settled down too sleep and the others were making sure the church was secure. Then Ken spotted the guy he had a stand off with, guess he had cooled down a bit more, but Ken knew that they were going to end up confronting each other again. Soon enough the sun started rising and it was a new morning. Nothing had gone wrong during the night, until now. Ken heard a crackled sound of someone talking, he knew it was some sort of radio, he had used them enough in his career. Then that girl Devan rushed out holding the radio in her hand, Ken could hear "FBI...Headquarters...St. Louis, Missouri...food....medical...safe...security..." Ken thought about the situation, he had heard this stuff over and over again, radio broadcasts giving people hopes of salvation and security, it was always wrong, either they had been wiped out by the time anyone had got there, or even worse, a group of bandits were just waiting for unsuspecting victims for their brutality. Ken slowly walked down the steps as people crowded Devan.

A voice on the radio then said "I am on the roof of the HeadQuarters, If you are crossing the bridge... Let me know. I will be able to snipe some Zeds from my position. There are a lot of military soldier zombies and police zombies on the bridge...It will be a tough barricade/wall to get over but do not worry, I will be assisting... This city was the last Evacuation point in the MidWest until the virus spread like a wildfire.... defeating the whole evacuation point. Let me know on the radio when you are crossing the bridge." Ken was feeling more and more worried about the voice, he didnt trust it, why would someone just be holed up in a federal building that was surrounded by zombies, even if they got past the zombies, they might have too deal with a crazed gunman. Ken stood behind the group "you know this is most likely a trap right? I've heard this hundreds of times, St. Louis is in the next state, how do you expect too get there, and last I heard, it was a death trap." he said as he lit a new cigar letting the smoke flow from his mouth.

"Will!" a familiar voice shouted breaking through William's subconscious walls. Finally being litterly shaken out of his unconscious state Will was able to open his eyes, though a little groggy.

"What is it." He asked worried at being brutally awakened. His eyes met with Tori's and the feelings he had felt last night rushed back to him causing him to blush at her close presence.

"FBI...Headquarters...St. Louis, Missouri...food....medical...safe...security..." Will's attention focused onto the radio as he tried to despiser the message.

"I am on the roof of the HeadQuarters, If you are crossing the bridge... Let me know on the radio when you are crossing the bridge." Williams's face remained indifferent as he listened to the staticy's man voice.

“Did you hear that? I mean, we don't have a better plan, but St. Louis could be even worse than here. We have no idea what we are getting ourselves into...” William glanced over at Tori, unaware about how he felt about the broadcast.

“What do you think almighty leader? Wanna go on adventure?” William could feel Tori's gaze burning into the side of his face and sense a bit of flirting, but he decided he should ignore it at the moment. Well for right now at least.

"I d-."

"You know this is most likely a trap right? I've heard this hundreds of times, St. Louis is in the next state, how do you expect too get there, and last I heard, it was a death trap." William was cut off by a thick Texan accent turning he saw the owner of the voice, Ken standing behind them, cigar in mouth.

"Yea I know that." William said staring at his palms in deep thought. It probably wasent the best idea to go to this 'safe' house, but it also wasent the best idea to reason with a crazy Texan man and let him roam freely with a gun while they slept.

Looking over at Tori he gave her a slight smile. "It could be an adventure." Standing up he slung his backpack on.

"Trap or not we're gonna go. It's on the way out to the country, it wouldn't hurt to look." Looking over at the group Will noticed almost everyone was awake which was good, they could get an early start.

"Well I guess we'll be out of your hair now..." William said trailing off as looked back at Ken. He hated to just leave a survivor all by themselves, but Ken looked more than capable of taking care of himself. Shaking his head he gave Ken a serious smile. "We'll be heading out soon. Good luck...On your own I mean."

After Zara and Tori's advice, Jace had only responded with a huff and a slight nod. He then walked deeper into the church, patting his leg for Dodger to follow. The teenage boy and his dog had then proceeded to set up a little camp on one of the pews, Jace using his jacket as a pillow while Dodger simply jumped on the wooden bench and sat, keeping watch over his sleeping owner. He withdrew his knife and shotgun and placed both on the ground just in reach, just in case. Jace had no problem falling asleep, even in the creepy church with the seemingly unstable soldier. He slept through the night, only waking once or twice to check and make sure that the man, Ken, had not moved and the group was all some what safe.

Both Jace and Dodger were deep asleep when the group starting talking animatedly and loudly. He swore and rolled, burying his face in his jacket while the german shepard sat up on the bench and pointed his long noes at the group, ears pin-straight. Jace had stayed up way to late for this early of a start, even in a world like this he needed his sleep. He had always been a late sleeper and those habits had not changed in the apocalypse.

After a moment or too of annoyance he sat up and rubbed the sleep from his face, then turned to look at the gathered teens. He could hear the static noise of a radio, and by the sound of the groups voices he must be good news. Jace grabbed his jacket and threw it on, following that with his gun and knife before waltzing over. Dodger leapt from the pew and jogged next to him, his tail waging at the excitement.

Jace arrived at the group and peered down at the radio that Will was holding. He raised his brows at the message, surprised to even get information about the outside world...let alone from the government building.

"You know this is most likely a trap right? I've heard this hundreds of times, St. Louis is in the next state, how do you expect too get there, and last I heard, it was a death trap." Jace flicked his dark brown eyes at the billow of smoke that cascaded around him, his attention averting to the sniper that he didn't even realize was standing next to him. He glared, blowing the smoke from his face and crossing his arms. Why was this guy even here? Didn't Will realize how much of a liability he was? Jace shook his head, ignoring the sting in his lungs from the cigar smoke....he was going to need a smoke once they got on the road. He reared in his characteristic hotted headed anger and turned his attention back to Will and the radio, doing his best to ignore the Texan.

For once, Will seemed to be taking charge. Jace agreed with leaving Ken here, although stealing that sniper off him didn't seem like a bad plan either. Jace had no problem with heading to the city as long as no one did anything stupid. They could protect themselves, he was sure of that. But...Jace had to somewhat agree with the sniper. He had no plans of going blindly into a trap, hopefully they could come up with some sort of strategy once they got to the location. Roaming the countryside was easy, but they would needed strategic steps to follow once they enter the big city.

Zara was glad that Dusty was awake and able to look after Devan, she knew some basic first aid but she wanted to be sure Devan wasn't going to get an infection. Without a lot of doctors around it made even the slightest injury a possible death threat.

“I don't know, something on the radio.” Zara answered bluntly. She took her sketch pad and quickly hid it in her bag. There were too many people talking to her now, to much of a risk for people to see how she really saw them.

”How did you two sleep?" the boy asked. Zara finished packing while she talked.

“I would have slept a lot better if wasn't worried about Major Tough Guy over there putting a bullet in us in our sleep, but okay. It was nice to get a few hours.” The curly haired brunette sat with her bag in her lap. “I don't sleep well at all these days. That's probably what's kept me alive so far.” She wasn't kidding. Tori had found her first, she had saved the girl's life a few times before they met up with the rest of the group. All because she was able to stay awake and alert. It seemed loosing her insomnia meds wasn't the worst thing in the world after all.

Tori was still discussing what to do with her handsome leader. It seemed his enthusiasm had made him smile at the very least.

”"You know this is most likely a trap right? I've heard this hundreds of times, St. Louis is in the next state, how do you expect too get there, and last I heard, it was a death trap." Tori rolled her eyes at him.

“It very well may be,” she said grumpily. “We're not stupid, but we don't have any other places to go.”

"Trap or not we're gonna go. It's on the way out to the country, it wouldn't hurt to look." Tori nodded in agreement.

“We still need to try and be careful though,” she said. “There is no way to know what's out there.” It didn't really need to be said, her crew were smart enough not to go recklessly in. Well, on the other hand after yesterdays events maybe they weren’t.

“Those who are awake, wake those who aren't lets get packed up and ready!” She called to the rest of the crew.

“Well I guess we'll be out of your hair now...We'll be heading out soon. Good luck...On your own I mean." Will said to Ken. Tori pulled Will aside, her arm around his shoulder, talking in a low whisper.

“Have we thought about bringing him along? We don't exactly know him but any guy who knows his way around a gun could be of some use to us don't you think.” She became painfully aware of how close they were. Even with the layers of dirt he smelled nice, masculine. She took a deep breath and shook the thoughts from her head.

“I mean I guess it is something to think about.”

Devan looked over at Dusty with a slightly cocked eyebrow as she heard him speak. She smiled slightly at it and went to add "Well, there's no such thing as an easy day no that zombies rule the earth." She said it in a weird way, like it was a quote everyone used. As Dusty looked at Devan's back, she watched Zara for a moment trying to figure her out. It was like a side show circus with the bearded ladies, sword-swallowers, and midgets. Devan only understood things that were right there in front of her. But, Zara was different.

As if he knew Devan was thinking about something other than her back, Dusty hand her painkillers and large bandages. She narrowed her eyes at him for interrupting her thoughts. She sighed at his question, not wanting to explain it again, but was glad Zara sort of answered his question. She popped a few painkillers before explaining further. "There was a message repeating it's self on the radio saying something about a safe place and stuff like that in St. Louis." Devan explained then looked over where Tori and Will were with a few others. She could hear a new message, but, as everyone else seemed to be taking care of it, she just sat back.

Hearing Dusty's next question, she looked at him then back at Zara as she spoke while putting, most likely her sketch pad, into her bag. Devan slightly cocked her head at this then gave a smile and slight head shake at the next thing the girl said about not sleeping keeping her alive. "I'll never know what that feels like." She started with a smile and small laugh before continuing. "I've been sleeping like a fucking log lately, but that could be from passing out because of the alcohol..." Devan trailed off before turning to Dusty and tilting her head slightly. "What do you think, Doc?" A smile then cracked Devan's face and she turned back to Zara. "Hey, you want ta' help me with these bandages." She tried to say bandages as flirty as she could while bumping Zara a few times with her elbow, the who time a slightly cocked flirty eyebrow was raised along with the more flirtatious of her smiles.

"Kill it, Billy! It's killing Joe!" Brandon yelled. Billy and his friends; Brandon, Joe and Carl, had all ran away from their homes after word of the infection spread. They had planned since they were nine years old about the zombie apocalypse starting. So they had went out and made an underground bunker, with the help of Brandon's dad. They filled it with everything they needed. Sadly, the food was running out and it was time to go out into the world. But, as they stepped out of the bunker, they attacked by a few large zombies.

Carl was the first out and instantly attacked and ripped to shreds. Now Joe was next and getting eaten alive. The sounds of his blood gurgling screams filled the air as the zombie pushed in his throat and started biting his head. It was obvious he wasn't going to make it alive. Joe them went silent and he was thrown to the ground. The zombies bent down over him and ripped into his stomach ripping out his inners. Brandon and Billy watched horrified as their friend was eaten alive. After a moment the zombies looked up at the two and charged Billy. Brandon stepped up and played a little base ball with the zombies heads, actually knocking one of their heads off completely. Another zombie got passed and tackled Billy, biting his forearm.

He let out a loud yelled as he pulled his arm from the zombies mouth. Brandon let out a yell and kicked the zombie off Billy. He then stood over the zombie and pounded down on it's head with the end of his wooden baseball bat. After the zombie was re-killed, Brandon turned around and helped Billy up. "You okay man?" Brandon asked before he took a look at Billy's arm and saw the bite. He looked Billy in the eye before turning and walking away. "Wait, Brandon! You're just gonna leave me here?" Billy yelled to his best friend of many years. "Yeah, I am." Brandon started and turned around. "You're bit! I'm not dragging your ass around with me just to get myself killed! Just go kill yourself or something so you don't end up hurting anyone!" Brandon yelled back to him then walked off.

Billy was now alone. And he knew what was coming. He knew he'd end up turning completely into an undead monster. The only choice he could make was to go off and wait. Wait until the last minute to go. What will he do in this time? Who knows. For now, he's going to a church to at least get a good word in for himself to at least help his chances of getting to heaven. So off to a church he went. He wondered the streets, ducking behind cars and in ally ways as he did so. Today was his lucky day. He hadn't come in contact with any zombies as of yet, and hopefully he wouldn't come in contact with any at all. He'd be happy to see another human though. Doesn't matter if their a boy or a girl as long as they don't tell him what to do. As a church tower came into view, Billy became a bit excited, that was until he came closer and heard voices and the slightest sound of a radio. Maybe they found a cure! Sure, it wouldn't bring back Joe or Carl, but it would sure help him out a bunch. Instead of going in through the front door like he usually would when someone told him not to, he went up to the window and looked in.

He saw a group of people, most of them looked around his age, a few younger and one way older. He tilted his head as an idea planed in his mind. He decided he'll wait for them to come out of the church and he'll follow them. Hopefully that dog wouldn't catch his sent and he'll just be able to follow them to safety and food and maybe a cure.

As Jasmine was sitting on a pew scared that she was going to get killed by a zombie, Rain came over to and said "Is something bothering you." She answered " I just had a bad dream."
Then Moon came over to and said "Did you have any unicorns in you dreams?"Jasmine said "No just zombies." She looked over at Tori and will and heard that they might be going to St. Louis. She knew that St. Louis was going to have to many of zombies. Then she thought to herself "How would she find her sister and dog if they're still a live.." She knew that she wasn't going to find them and probably never see them again. She also knew that she had to stop being a baby and man up if she wanted to stay alive.

Jasmine stared to think about zombies, her mom, dad, sister, dog, friends and how she wished that they where still alive. She wished and wished that her mom and dad was still alive, but she knew that they where bloody zombies and that they were not nice anymore. Then she started to think about her dream and how she was afraid and that she should of kept dreaming. Then she said to herself "My dream wasn't even that scary."

Jasmine started to just look around. As she looked around, she saw something in the window. She was to far to see what it was, but she saw it duck down. Jasmine tugged on Rain's sleeve and, as she pointed to the window, said "Something's at the window." She the thought to herself " Is it a zombie? What is it, because if it was, would it make sound like it would eat us?" But she did not want to go see it if it was a zombie herself.

"I just had a bad dream." Jasmine said, her short answer made Rain wonder if she was going to say anything more or not, but before he could push the subject Moon walked over and sat on the pew in front of them and looked over at Jasmine, "Hiya Jasmine, any unicorns in your dreams?"
"No, just zombies." The girl said as she looked away. Rain wasn't the least bit surprised.

Moon then turned to him, "Hey Rain. How are you?"
Was that a hint of pink on her face? She wasn't blushing, was she? He doubted that. She had no reason to, since she probably didn't even remember what happened.
Moon had been poisoned by some dead guy last night and kissed Rain, he wasn't complaining, but thinking back on it he realized that Alicia most likely had little to no knowledge on what she had been doing.
I bet she would have done the same thing to Dodger if he had been there instead of me. As soon as the thought entered Rain's mind he immediately wished it hadn't. That was gross. Dodger was an animal, a dog. A gross, slobbery, evil little dog.

"I'm fine. ...Uh, what about you?" Rain asked, wondering if he should bring up what had happened or not.
He decided not to.
Moon didn't remember, she didn't mean anything by it, so it didn't matter...Right? Of course it didn't. Rain forced the thought away.
Besides, it was a zombie apocalypse, everyone had bigger things to think about.

Zara raised an eyebrow at Devan's comment. Was she flirting with her? The brunette was not sure how she felt about that.

“I think you are pretty bandaged up.” Zara answered her slowly, not sure how she should proceed. Devan was a strange girl, she didn't hide her emotions like Zara. Instead she wore them on her sleeve for the world to see. She both envied and worried for Devan. If she could be a little more like the loud mouthed girl, she might have more friends, more attachments. She may also be dead.

“I would just hold on to those for when you need to change them.” She went to stand up, then with a small smile she turned back.

“But you can come get me when you need them changed.” She thought about winking, but thought better of it, which resulted in Zara giving Devan a sort of awkward stare. She finally turned away but something else caught her eye.

“Hey who's that?” The archer asked, pulling her bow from her back and grabbing an arrow. He didn't look too dead... yet. She walked towards the window.

Tori was listening to Will and she nodded in agreement. He sent his offer to Ken and Tori waited with baited breath, she could feel the tension rising, and then who to come and make matters worse but their friendly neighborhood hot head.

Jace.

”Please tell me you're joking! You can't be serious about bringing him with! We get along fine on our own!" he argued.

Tori quickly grabbed the boy by the arm and pulled him to the side so the rest of the group couldn't hear her talk to him.

“You're right Jace, we have done fine so far.” Tori said calmly. “But there is no telling what we are getting into by going into St. Louis. It would be both dumb and selfish not to ask some extra firepower along.” She made sure she was looking right in her eyes when she said.

“I don't know if I completely trust him either, but now is not the time to get butt heads with Will. If he does anything that even looks like it is going to be a threat to this group, I can promise you I will be the first one in your corner. There are way more of us, we can take him down if we need to. But we need you on our side right now, and we could use the extra man.” She took a deep breath knowing that she was getting speechy and hoped that she didn't anger Jace further.

“Your argument can wait.” Zara called over the crowd. “We have company.” She gestured to the boy looking in the church window.

Devan watched Zara, her eyebrow raising ever so slightly and her mouth curled into a soft smile. It was obvious she was making an effort here. When Zara answered her question so slowly, Devan's smile dampened a little. Then a thought popped into her head. Eh, I tried. When Zara stood up, Devan bit her lip as her eyes narrowed slightly in curiosity. She wondered why Zara seemed so...withdrawn. But it dawned on her that it was the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Of course she'd be withdrawn.

Devan was pleasantly surprised when Zara turned back with a small smile though and gave the offer to go get her next time they need changing. This made Devan's lips curl up into a flirty and amused smile. "Oh, I will." Devan breathed out lustfully, not even sure if she could hear her. She hadn't even cared about the stare between the two.

Devan watched Zara as she walked away, biting her lip slightly and leaning back, not really paying attention to the slight pain of her back that could still be felt, despite the painkillers. She then rolled her eyes slightly as Zara noticed someone at a window and notified Tori. Devan was tired of new people after what happened last night. It might not have been noticeable before, but she was scared out of her mind that something could happen. Luckily, she was too drunk to show fear, the only feeling she can't show while drunk. She can show her flirty side, which is always there, her sort of depressed side, which is usually drowned out by her loud side that coexists with the flirtatiousness.

Meanwhile, Billy had ducked down after he saw a chick with a bow looking at him and saying something. He was now crunched down beneath the window cursing at himself for even thinking they wouldn't see him. He knew as much as any that people can feel when someone or something is staring at them, and now wouldn't be any different.

"Okay, I'll play dead! No, that's dumb. I'll be friendly and wave! Wait, they could take it as a threat." Billy said to himself quietly. Obviously, he had no idea what to do. He decided to look back into the church only to see a couple girls looking at him. He popped his head up a little more so they could see his whole face. He plastered a small, fake half-smile onto his face and gave a small wave with his hand.

It looked like the group were determined too go too St. Louis despite Ken's warning. Ken thought they were almost idiotic to even consider going there and despite Ken hatred for people staying in groups, they had a good thing going. It would have been foolish too chase after some false hope that was being promised over a radio. Ken thought the worst about this plan, only bad things could come from it. Ken let out a puff of smoke into the air. Will started asking if he would come along with them, at first Ken thought straight away no but there was something in the back of his mind was curious about these kids, how had they survived for so long. He was coming around too the idea of joining them but it would only be until they get to St. Louis.

Ken then saw Jace come up and contest the idea, this was what sealed it. Ken wasn't keen on this Jace guy, which made him want too annoy him even more, Ken enjoyed getting on peoples nerves and he could see that Jace didn't trust him. Ken still didn't trust them but they hadn't killed him in the night so they couldnt have been too bad. Whilst they were discussing with Jace and Tori, Ken said over them giving a slight smile "I'll come, but only until St. Louis." Ken knew that Jace wouldn't like it but he didn't care, he wasn't anything that he couldn't handle. "You guys have any idea how you're going to get there? It's a long walk and I don't think the children could handle it." Ken knew he could walk there over a couple of weeks, he was used to it but those kids would never survive getting there. Ken then heard something over his shoulder, he quickly grabbed his torch and pistol and aimed it at a small figure, it was another child Ken thought What is this? A daycare centre? Ken lowered his weapon and holstered it, letting out another puff of smoke towards the group, "You deal with him." He said looking at Will, he then gave a look at Tori and nodded, walking over to a pew sitting on his own just smoking his cigar.
