Name: Ken Warren
Nickname: Hot Shot
Age: 28
Role: US Military Sniper
Sexuality: Straight

Image
Appearance: Ken is a 5'11" in height and is quite muscular because of his military training which has given him a mindset of looking after his body. He has short messy brown hair that he tends not to take much care of, but it still surprisingly suits him. He wears mostly military clothing including camouflage and body armour, however when he is in a safe place (Or as safe as it gets) he wears a black or brown t-shirt and camouflage trousers, he also always wears his army boots that enable him to be effective in all terrains. He has multiple war wounds on his body including a large scar on his chest which came from when he was captured by bandits and tortured for their pleasure. There is also a tattoo of his military number on his shoulder and has a tattoo on his right arm that states "Death From Afar". He always takes his backpack with him wherever he goes which holds all his provisions he needs like food and extra ammunition (although that is coming hard to find nowadays.) He holds a large military serrated knife on his waist which he can easily reach in an emergency. He has two guns a U.S army issued M24 sniper rifle which he uses to keep away from the dead, he also has an M9 pistol for more close quarters affairs and when he runs out of ammo with his rifle. Despite having these weapons he tends to try not to use them as the sound of a gunshot attracts the dead and ammo is rarely found.[/I]

[b]Likes: Being alone in a high spot
Reading
The quiet
The feel of the warmth of a fire
Rifles
Cigars

Dislikes: Getting attached to people
Stragglers
Graveyards
Cockiness
Well lit places

Fears: Losing someone close too him
Being Surrounded
Never Waking Up

Personality:Ken is a quiet man who has spent much of his life with very few people. He tends just to stay with a select few people who he trusts. Trust is a big issue for Ken, if he doesn't trust them he tends to be distant, he even found some of his old unit hard to trust despite him considering them his brothers. He finds it hard to accept new people around them and prefers to be alone. Ken is honest and will tell people straight what he thinks and wont sugar coat anything even with children. There is a certain feeling of coldness around him that makes some people feel uncomfortable.

Ken can appear to be quite ruthless when he feels he is in danger and will keep fighting until he gets away, in this new world of death he sees no other option than to fight or you die. He also hates too look after people and sees it as a way of getting people killed, the more people that are around the more people there are that can die.

Image
History: Ken is from a quiet town in Texas in the middle of no where, Ken hated it, barely any people, no where to go, nothing to do. He spent most of his days sneaking out with his dads hunting rifle, shooting at birds and beer cans that he would steal from home. He lived with his mum, dad and his two younger sisters one of whom was just a year younger than him and the other who was 10 years younger. He loved his family but never really connected with them, they never went out as a family and never really spent time with each other, also the fact that his father was a drunk didn't help.

When he turned 18 he left home and enlisted himself in the army infantry. It was the first time he was really accepted and where he excelled. He made his first deployment in Iraq where he felt he became a man, he was doing something that he thought mattered. It was here that he made his first confirmed kill, an insurgent opened fire on him and his patrol, Ken killed him from a distance that most soldiers would have struggled from, which led him to being entered into scout sniper training when he returned as well as a promotion. In the next few years he continued to prove himself and eventually he became sergeant and controlled his own small unit.

Then the day came, the day where his world turned around. The army were called in to control what was described as a "disease control mission". It didn't sound to serious most of the men thought it would just involve guarding a few checkpoints, but what they saw when they hit the ground was worse than they could have imagined. Ken and his unit were sent to patrol a street block and take out any hostiles. They wasn't told much about these "hostiles" just that they couldn't get too close. When they hit the streets the realization of what was happening struck them, hordes of the dead were ripping people to shreds, the cries of women and children rang in their ears and the smell of death was around them. Ken ordered his troops to open fire and they did, bullets went ripping through the bodies of the dead. At one point communications went down and they had to keep fighting with no aid, eventually ammunition ran low and they were overrun. The hordes surrounded them and ripped most of the squad apart and the last survivors Ken and his best friend managed to escape. However they were not safe yet and Ken had to make the hardest decision he ever imagined. Ken arose from the rubble never looking back and just saw that he had to live on his own and survive. He walked for miles and miles until he eventually reached what looked like civilization in Illinois, maybe there was supplies he could find or maybe survivors.

Image
Family: Ken has two younger sisters ans a mother and father however he hasn't seen them in years and doesn't even know if they are still alive.
Who You Lost: Ken has lost almost everything, he wasn't much of a family man and left his family at a young age to join the army and hasn't spoken to them in years, so some of them may be alive. However what he sees as his true family, his brothers in arms, are all gone, he is the last survivor of his unit.
Who you killed: Ken has had to fight his way through many of the undead especially as he was one of the first soldiers sent in to prevent things spiraling out of control, but out of all of them there is one who stands out, his best friend Corporal Lance Horde who was bitten when they were fleeing from a large group of zombies. Ken took it upon himself to stop Lances pain and preventing him from turning, it was by far the hardest thing he ever had to do.

Billy tried his best to stay as comfortable as he could. But it was hard considering this whole group seemed to be full of couples. It was just...weird. He didn't know how much more he could describe it. He just hoped they didn't start popping out babies. Once one of them even looks like their getting a little big in the middle, Billy's out. He doesn't care what happens, he'll be out. There's no way Billy will be around a bunch of babies when the zombies start coming.

When the van stopped, Billy was defiantly scared. He was scared they were going to pull over and kick him out. Say he can't stay because they don't know him and they can't trust him. He was relieved to her the red head chick just pass out a few orders so they can be on their way. Billy didn't know what to do. He didn't want to do anything that would get him fucked where he'll be kicked. He needs to stay with them to find a cure, he can't just leave.

Hearing Dusty saying something, Billy looked over at him, a fairly neutral look on his face added with a slight half smile. He felt weird for smiling so much, but he needed them all to think he was friendly. He was mildly confused at what Dusty said and watched him with a slight raised eyebrow as he shifted slightly closer. He almost laughed at what he said as it sounded really weird, but he put on a small smile and nodded slightly. "Sure." He said quietly with a small laugh.

He stepped out of the van and waited for Dusty to get out. Billy being, new and all decided he'd just let Dusty do the leading. I don't know how many times I'm going to say it, but Billy has no idea what he'd suppose to do. He just looked around at everyone as they went which and ever way to different cars and broke into them. It looked so fun. So criminal. So...Grand Theft Auto. He couldn't wait to get his hands on something.

Ken went into an almost battle mode when the zombie started streaming in to the church, he stood on top of a pew firing a few rounds from his rifle holding back a few of the zombies too buy them time for an escape. Ken knew this was a bad situation, being outnumbered is never a good situation, Ken wanted to just look after himself but for some reason deep inside him he felt like he wanted and needed too help these people so he waited until he was one of the last out of the church when Will found an escape. After most had left, Ken started to move backwards out of the church still firing rounds at the undead. He eventually reached the van that they were holding outside. Then in the corner of his eye he saw the redheaded girl in some trouble being attacked by a zombie, he wanted to go help but saw Will quickly rush over too her rescue, so Ken took it upon himself too keep the zombies away by taking as many down as he could. Eventually they were all in the van in safety. Ken didn't know how they managed it but they did, maybe being in a group wasn't so bad.

Ken looked around the van his rifle still slightly smoking, everyone seemed safe and alright, he then went back too the usual Ken, distant and into himself, he ignored most things around him but caught a glimpse of Will and Tori in an embrace. Ken just thought Really? At a time like this Then like the calm before the storm more drama happened, a man had rushed too the van with a child, he looked military like Ken himself. Will didnt want too let them on but at the same time his military background reminded him of the fact that they never leave a man behind, Will let the small child on but the man chose too stay behind. Ken knew how the man felt, sacrifice yourself too help others, he had done it in the war but he had lost that bit of nobility since the world ended. Ken just sat back down quietly as they sped away from the scene as Tori was driving. Ken looked around the group, they were all doing their own thing Devan was getting drunk out of her mind. Ken thought about having a drink himself but he had too keep his head straight. He got up and joined Tori at the front of the van too see where they were going.

The roads were strewn with bodies and abandoned cars, then they came across the normal sight on Americas roads, road blocks. Cars covering roads that had been long abandoned for the wilderness. They needed too get through as Tori said. It was a perfect opportunity for scavenging but they had too be careful, the dead were always close. Ken got too work to moving cars out of the way, he would smash the windows of some of the cars and release the handbrake then slowly rolling them too the side. After doing this a few times, he started too feel a bit weary, he hadn't slept in almost two days and had almost nothing too eat or drink. There was only so much someone could take even a man like him. Ken needed a break, so he just sat on the bonnet of a car for a minute with a cigar and pulled something out of his pocket, it was a picture of his sisters and him, it had been years since he last saw them, the two most beautiful girls in Texas, well that's what they were too him even though he never showed it to his family. He started to remember back when he was at school with the older of the two sisters, Rachel, she was popular with the boys but Ken always protected her without her even knowing, always stopping any guy making an advance on her. He wondered if they were still alive, probably not, but deep inside he hoped they were despite their distant relationship.

Then all of a sudden something grabbed his leg, it was one of the dead under a car. It must have been run over because its mangled body was crushed under the wheel of a pick-up truck. Ken quickly pulled out his knife and struck it in the skull, instantly killing it. "That was close." he said too himself. He didn't bother making a fuss, there was no need to worry anyone and make any drama, Ken hated that. This made him realize that they needed too keep moving so he chose not too take a rest and continued helping the group clear the way, despite his body starting to strain.

Michael pulled the pin and he blew up most of the hoard with the grenade, sacrificing himself.

Aaron sat there holding his teddy bear... looking around at people, fear in his eyes... it was see-able. They knew that he lost his parents recently.

He noticed they stopped and they were getting out to push cars. He thought to himself...wondering. Aaron got out slowly and looked at the sun and clouds. He ran to the car next to William, he was acting strong and helping push the car, thinking he is actually pushing it. He giggles and opens door, a rotting corpse falls out. His eyes widen and he starts smacking its head with the teddy bear. "DIE DIE DIEEEE!" He shoves its hand off his arm and pants. Silly ole' Aaron in his blue overalls over his white long sleeve shirt and his undies, wearing black tennis shoes with batman on them. He still tries to think life... is normal but people for some reason are crazy and now believe in cannibalism.

Aaron yanked on William's sleeve and pointed to rotting corpse holding a gun in other hand, which means he/she probably killed themselves, an easy way out or the person shot a few bullets through windshield since there is another rotten corpse on the engine hood, then the person shot him/herself. Aaron then ran to other side and opened door... he looked in backseat, found a crate of canned goods, he looks through them; seeing peaches, pears, carrots, peas, sliced potatoes, soup. He looked at Dusty and others, William specifically and he smiled, "I Found Food! Lots of it!", he said with excitement. He also noticed the dog, Dodger, A big German Shepard, he loved German Shepards. His last dog they had was a Shepard before it had to be put to sleep from old age. He looks behind seat and finds small doggy treats, from he guesses the survivors were eating those too; He thinks that is a bit odd.

Aaron grabs the treats and walks over to dog. "Hello, Doggy. Do you want a treat?" He holds the bag, not knowing who the master is or... if he can feed him.

William pulled a hand through his matted brown hair wincing as he pulled out a few strands, hopefully there was a shower at this 'safe house' they were going to, they all desperatley needed a little soap and water. Turning his attention away from his musty figure William locked eyes with Tori through the rear view mirror quickly averting his gaze from her worried blue eyes as a slight wave of embarrsament crossed over his cheeks. Turning away from her he looked down at the newest kid to their group, frustration flying through him as he realized he wasn't doing his job. He hadn't even made sure that the two new people weren't bitten or anything of the sort.

This was not the time to get love struck and let the group down he reminded himself, blaming his lack of leadership on his heart strong mind. They were in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and he was worried about whether a girl liked him or not, this ragtag group did not need a heartbroken leader, they needed someone they could depend on.

Scanning over the group he did a quick head count, something that was long over do.

It seemed they had just acquired two new members, who Will knew nothing about. Making a mental note to talk to the two new strangers Will glanced out the window as the van pulled to a stop.

“Someone stay and watch the kids. Might as well raid the cars while we are at it. Grab anything useful. Just be safe.” Will looked over at Tori as everyone began to exit the car and head off in separate directions.

Deciding to take a look around William stepped out of the van, his eyes quickly assessing his surrounding. Abandoned cars were ever where, along with a few dead bodies scattered here and there.

Deciding to check on the strangers,he made his way over to the older boy they had found spying on them outside the church.

"Hey." Will approached the kid slowly deciding on making the kid feel welcomed and not in danger. " My names William nice to meet you, I know with all the chaos and everything, I never quite caught your name." Giving the boy a friendly smile he waited for his answer before continuing. "Just a few quick question, umm how did you find us and are you bitte-" William stopped talking as he felt someone pulling on him. Looking down his eyes met with another one of their new members.

"What's the matter?" Will asked concerned his face serious and his mind temporarily forgetting about his conversation with the kid.

"I Found Food! Lots of it!" Quickly walking over to the abandoned car the kid had been in Will eyed the can food a small thankful breath escaping his lungs. Taking some in his hands he shouted out Tori's name, forgetting about their little misunderstanding.

"Look we have more food, if we add this with what we got from the grocery store, we should definitely be okay until we reach the 'safe house'." William explained smiling at her while he sorted out the calculations in his head. Setting some of the cans in his bag he turned to the gun picking it up.

It looked like some of the bullets had been used and only a few remained, but still it would be enough to take out a few zombies to escape. Standing up his eyes landed on Rain. He hadn't remembered the kid having a weapon and it always was a good idea to have something.

Though he could end up blowing his own brains out with the gun, Will decided to let him have the almost used up,weapon. Patting the little Kid's head William thanked the kid before walking over to Rain.

Handing the gun to the shy kid, he made sure to keep the barrel pointed towards himself as he placed the gun in his hands. "Be careful with this. You can ask Moon how to use it....if you dont know how. She can probably teach you." Will said motioning to the no longer intoxicated girl.

Zara forced herself to wake up at Tori's command. She wanted to tell Tori to do it herself, Devan wasn't allowed to get up, she made a comfy pillow and for the first time she had been able to get a few hours of solid sleep. In all honesty it just made her more groggy than before.

Slowly and painfully she sat up, rubbed her eyes and tried not to make a big deal of Devan's hand draped over her side. With much contempt she climbed out of the van and went to the nearest car blocking their path.

“Hey Jace! Give me a hand moving this?” Zara called out as she put the car into neutral.

Meanwhile Tori was trying her best to keep her eyes open. After the excitement of yesterday, keeping watch most of the night, almost being eaten alive, and finally some highway hypnosis, the false red head was ready to crumble. She slapped her cheeks a little and tried to stay alert as she rummaged around to find a hose.

It took a little time for her to find one, but she was able to cut a hose from a bicycle pump she found in the back of one of the cars. She was lucky enough to find a half filled gas can in the back too. She emptied the gas can into the van and then began her unpleasant work of siphoning the gas.

Tori took a deep breath and then sucked on the tube that was now deep in the gas tank of one of the other cars. She she was careful not to let any of the gasoline into her mouth and then put the tube in her container and let gravity drain the tank.

The last thing she needed was to taste like gasoline, she had fucked up things with Will enough, if she was ever lucky enough to have him kiss her again she didn't want to taste like the inside of an engine.
Somewhere between then and when the tank was empty she temporarily dozed off. She shook herself awake. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a little pink notebook inside the car she was draining. She opened the door and grabbed it, along with a pen she found on the ground.

She had to fix things and with the constant need of the group she would never get a chance to get alone with him. She quickly jotted down a note.

“Please don't hate me, it isn't what you think. I really want to talk to you, maybe after everyone goes to sleep?” Then she drew a small heart and signed her name.

She heard Will calling her name and she shoved her note into her pocket.

”"Look we have more food, if we add this with what we got from the grocery store, we should definitely be okay until we reach the 'safe house'."

He was so happy and she tried her best not to smile just because he was. It was nice, for a minute everything felt normal.

“That's great!” Tori did smile then. “Let me help you put it in the back of the van.” She grabbed some of the goods from his hands, carefully slipping the pink piece of paper into his hand and giving his hand a squeeze so he would know to look.

Then she sauntered off to put their loot in the van and siphon more gas so they could get a move on. As soon as the cars were moved they would be on their way.

Rain wasn't a big fan of car rides.
He hadn't liked them before the apocalypse happened, when his parents used to sing every single song they knew while his brother horribly tied to match their tune. Not only did they give Rain massive headaches, but also the reminder to bring earplugs no matter what.
Lang family road trips turned into bad musicals. Presenting, a mom, a dad, and their son as they sing their way to theaters near you! Or... try to.
It had been terrible.

But then again, no one in the van was singing 'Wheels on the Bus' or 'You Are My Sunshine', so really the whole riding in a van thing wasn't so bad.
And so Rain's new reason for not being a fan of car rides was because they hadn't come across a decent place to shower yet.
Truth be told, it was really starting to bother him.

Suddenly the van stopped and Rain wondered if it had ran out of gas or something. Would that suck?
"I need a few to help push cars, and a few to help find gas. Search the cars for something we can use for a hose and something to hold the gas in. Tori announced. Rain lowered an eyebrow, so they were running out of gas! Hopefully that wasn't the case for all the abandoned cars scattering the road.
"Someone stay and watch the kids. Might as well raid the cars while we are at it. Grab anything useful. Just be safe." Tori continued, her words immediately made Rain get up and out of the van.
Watching kids? No. Not that he wouldn't try to protect them any danger, he'd do so in a heartbeat if he had to. But the chances of him actually succeeding and keeping them safe. . . anyone else besides him would be better for the job.

Deciding he'd try find whatever he could, Rain came across a light blue BMW that looked as if the previous owner had one hell of a time taking out zombies.
Looking through the windows, Rain was satisfied to see two grocery bags with a few cans poking out of them. Rain smiled to himself, food was good.
He tried the door. Locked. The other door? Locked. The two other doors? Locked and... unlocked. Rain opened the drivers door, grabbed the first bag, tossed the bad stuff he found into the back seat, then looked through the second bag.
What he found was greater than the discovery of that who mouse lived secretly in the basement of his old house.
Lucky Charms. Rain didn't know if the other members of the group liked the cereal as much as he did, but either way he was glad that he found it.
Unfortunately, that was the only thing in the second bag that was still edible.

Stuffing the box in with the cans in the first bag, Rain closed the door and headed back to the van.
"Look we have more food, if we add this with what we got from the grocery store, we should definitely be okay until we reach the 'safe house'." He heard William say. Rain looked over and saw the group leader with canned goods in his arms.
And we also have breakfast cereal! Rain added silently, thrilled that he had found the Lucky Charms.

He was about to step back into the van, but William caught him before he could do so.
Without saying anything at first, the group leader placed a gun in Rain's hands. He looked at Will, a dumbfounded expression on his face. Surely he looked like an idiot at the moment.
"Uh, thanks?"
"Be careful with this. You can ask Moon how to use it... if you don't know how, she can probably teach you." William said, surprising Rain even more.
First off, he was giving him a gun? Rain was wondering if William had him confused with someone else. He had once shot himself in the eye with a harmless, innocent little Nerf gun. There was no telling what the hell he would accidently do with a real one.
Second, Moon.
Of all people, why Moon? Rain looked over to where the hippie girl stood. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to her, he did, he would just feel like an idiot if he asked her to teach him how to use a gun. Shouldn't he already know how to do something like that? It seemed like everyone else did.

"Terrific." Rain said, looking down at the gun in his hands.
Yup. He was definitely going to accidentally shoot himself in the foot or someone else with the little death machine. "Thanks. I'll, um, use this. Some time."
Without saying anything else, Rain brought the bag of cans and box of Lucky Charms into the van. When he sat down, Rain continued to stare at the gun in his hands.
He was definitely going to have to ask Moon to teach him how to use it.

Devan watched Tori for a moment before she felt Zara slowly sit up. Devan just let her arm drop off the girl as she sat up, not saying a word. In that moment, Devan blanked out as she watched her climb out of the van. She could feel that she was drunk and in a seriously sour mood. She was feeling nasty and drunk and was feeling a lot of self hatred at this point. After a moment, she shook herself out of her mind and back to the real world just to see that no one, really, was in the van anymore. With a whine, she put a hand on her forehead as she climbed out of the van clumsily, almost falling on her face in the process.

Now, over to the cars. Devan walked drunkenly to the cars, tripping and trying to balance herself almost the whole way. She knew for a fact she wouldn't be able to move any cars. Even if she had help, she wouldn't be able to do it. It's odd. She has a more physical weapon (her bat) that she uses most of the time, but she has no muscles whatsoever. It makes no since.

After passing up some cars, Devan headed over to one car in particular. A Lamborghini. Though she was surprised at it's perfectly good condition, she had a stone face of not-giving-a-fuck. She tried all the doors and discovered the reason why it was in such good condition. Who ever left this car made sure to lock the doors. And no one wants to hurt a precious Lamborghini. Well, Devan obvious isn't no on. She looked back to the group. They were pretty far back from her, so she hoped they wouldn't hear the horrible thing she's about to do.

Noticing she forgot her bat back at the van, she reached into her bag and grabbed out an extra shirt. She was about to do something crazy that could end badly. She wrapped the shirt over her hand then punched the side window to the lovely car. Car windows are strong, so this didn't hurt it at all. Devan winced at the pain that shot up through her arm, but she wasn't going to give up. She then went into crazy drunk mood and hammered away at the window with her fist. Each time her hand hit that window, she bit down on her lip. It took a good 18 rounds until it finally broke, making a shatter sound throughout the area. It wasn't too loud, considering the glass went in mostly, but it still made a noise. She'd done it. She broke the window of a beautiful car at the extent of a fucked up hand and wrist and a now bleeding lip from biting down so hard. She ignored this, however, as she opened the door to the car and got inside.

Being inside that car felt wonderful. It was nice and clean, but odd. It had a big box of crucifixes in the back seat. "This a fucking priest car or something? Fuck, this the Popes car?" Devan asked drunkenly as she picked up one of the crucifixes. She started messing around with it when the top popped off. Putting the thing upside down to see if there was anything in it, white powdery stuff flew out, fortunately not getting on Devan. She knew exactly what it was though. Coke. Of course. "So...your a drug dealing priest car, huh? Or does the Pope do Coke?" She asked the car as she patted the dashboard slightly. She then got out of the car, not finding anything else useful. Seeing as everyone was finding a lot of useful stuff and the cars were pretty much cleared, she just got back in the van. Her hand hurt and was bleeding slightly, but it would be fine, maybe, and her lip was bleeding in the inside, so that was all in her mouth. She washed that out with the last of her drink before putting the empty bottle into her bag.

Moon was enjoying her cigarette, it had been at least a week and half sense her last one. One of the small things one tends to miss in a zombie apocalypse, along with privacy and her stuff. She had honestly wished to find her van, it had all of her drugs, but from where she stood, she couldn't find it anywhere.

She looked around at everyone doing their thing, and she noticed William talking to new guy then Rain. He handed Rain a gun, which Moon thought would be the end of everything. She had gotten to know him during their adventures, and knew about the Nerf gun incident, even though she had to ask what a Nerf was. One thing being a hippie on the fringe doesn't teach you, popular culture. All of her music was either rock, The Beatles, or Elvis. She was truly dumbfounded by all the things she saw once she joined the group. She wanted to ask someone about it, but didn't want to come off as a yokel or something like that. Dropping her cancer stick, she walked over to where Rain was, as he looked like a kid holding a snake, not comfortable. She had to teach him or someone would be shot, and not on purpose.

"You know that they don't bite, right?" She asked jokingly. She got beside him, well standing outside the van, looking in on him. She then took the gun from his hands and then placed it back, the Hand Grip in his palm. She then proceeded to hold onto his hand before she realized it. She took her hand back before laughing uncomfortably. "If you want someone to teach you how to use that, I'm only $1,500 an hour." She laughed and then saw the Lucky Charms he had beside him. She then grabbed the box, and looked at him, "Or these. I love Lucky Charms." She truly did, when ever they went into a town to buy things, she would demand to buy this brand. She loved marshmallows, and was now thankful them.

Across the yellow brick road, or rather twenty feet away, Dusty was getting out of the van. He was actually excited, not necessarily because he had always wanted to break into cars, but because he got to walk with Billy. He was thankful he thought his comment about stealing gas together was funny, he didn't know how well that would go over. Getting off the bus, he saw him waiting for him.

"How gentleman of you to wait for me." He said, in his newly found fun slash flirtatious voice. He smiled at Billy and was about to make off for the nearest car when William came up. He introduced himself to Billy, and then began to ask questions, most likely for the safety of the group. He didn't really pay attention to the questions, but when he was called away by some one else, he turned to Billy. Then the questions came back to him, how he found them and if he was bitten, the latter not being fully spoken.

Dusty hadn't checked for bites, but Billy seemed to be in perfect health, well perfect health of a zombie world, which was still pretty good. Asking if he was bitten brought back memories of killing his boyfriend and his aunt, which caused him to shake his head, as if to block out the memories. Realizing he did that in front of everyone, he went back into red. "Sorry, just some things I don't want to remember." He said weakly again.

Wanting to lead his memories, he grabbed Billy's arm, the same one he did in the church, and walked towards a car no one had gotten to yet. It was a Grey Hummer in good condition, also new looking, save fro the random blood on the side. It looked big, although most cars did to Dusty. He tried to doors, but after finding that none of them worked, he got a little sad. He turned back to Billy, and an idea came to him. He picked up a rock that happened to be on the road. He got beside Billy, shoulder to shoulder and put the rock in front of Billy. "You want to do the honors, Billy?"

Zara and Jace moved the car fairly easily. She steered the car and with his strength behind it they made short work of the cars littering the highway. Zara wiped the sweat from her forehead and shot him a smile.

"To bad we can't take one of these for a spin," the brunette joked. "The van is a little cramped for my liking." She couldn't help but feel as if a car ride with Jace might be pleasant. Maybe even enjoyable, at the very least it would suck less than being stuck in the car with anyone else.

Zara and Jace we're on the same level. They thought the same, their brains worked the same way. Fight, kill, survive. She respected him, and even through the blood, rough outside and tough guy attitude she couldn't help but think he was pretty cute.

It seemed that the rest of their rapidly growing group was getting ready to leave. She wasn't looking forward to being stuck in the van again, that was for damn sure. Now she wasn't even tired enough to sleep the trip away and she couldn't draw without fear of Jace or Devan seeing. With a defeated sigh she climbed aboard.

Tori was feeling anxious as she watched Will read her note. She saw the smile play across his lips and knew that her note had done what she wanted to. She smiled too. He looked up and his eyes net with hers for a moment. She immediately looked at her feet, scared he had caught her watching him.

She stared back for the van, now with a full tank and a 5 gallon gas can for the road. She was grateful when he took the drivers seat, she could use a little rest. She grabbed a pillow she had found in one of the cars and climbed into the passenger seat. She couldn't help feeling like this is where she belonged. By his side.

She waited for everyone to get situated. When Will pulled off she took a deep breath and took the plunge. She softly laid her pillow on Wills lap and made herself as comfortable as possible lying over the arm rest and nestling in for a nap. She hoped he didn't mind. Why would he? He had just confessed his almost love for her.

"Wake me if everyone falls asleep." She whispered. "I'll help keep you up." What she really wanted to say was 'so we can talk' but she didn't want to risk any more jokes on their behalf. Then she let her eyes slowly close, more comfortable than she had been in a long time.

Billy smiled at Dusty's comment as he climbed out of the van. He might be getting a little ahead of himself, but he was growing on him. So, he doesn't really know anyone in the group yet. Hell, he doesn't even know anyone's name, but Dusty's of course. And, after seeing the new child hop in the van, he was starting to wonder how often the group received new people. Part of him hoped it wasn't too often they received people, or they'd end up receiving someone who's been bitten...

Anyways, he was happy to be with the group, even if he didn't know them at all. As long as he was around people, he'd be fine.
Before Billy even had a chance to get his hands on something to do, some guy walked up to him. Billy recalled him as being the
one that came out of the church and got him. He nodded once, and rather slowly as the guy introduced himself as William.
William? It's the end of the world, you could've said your name was something different, and yet this guy decides to stick with
William? Well, I guess whatever floats his boat.
Billy thought before answering. "Names Billy." He said, bluntly and slowly. Then William continued to ask a few questions, but was distracted by some kid, to Billy's hope. He knew he was about to ask if he was bitten, and Billy knew he'd just have to lie and say no. Billy watched the guy walk away with a breath of relief before turning back to Dusty just as he grabbed his arm. Luckily, the opposite of his bitten arm, and they went up to a hummer. Billy stood there, hands stuffed in his pockets, as he watched Dusty go around and check the doors. Damn, Billy wouldn't just check the doors, he'd find something to break the window, unlike Devan who had been stupid and just used her fist. Enough comparing them and let's go back to what's happening.

The doors didn't open, not one, and Dusty stood right next to Billy holding a large rock in front of him, asking if he wanted to do the honors. A genuine sadistic smile stretched across his face as he reached up for the rock. "Gladly." He said simpily and grabbed the rock. This is where years of throwing rocks at snakes, cats, and the occasional window, plus baseball pitching, come in handy. He shot his arm back, rock in hand, then threw it as hard as he could at the window. It shattered loudly and Billy smiled with a slight joyful laugh at the sight. It was just so much fun to him breaking stuff. He then carefully reached into the car and opened the door then climbed in. It smelt like something died in there. There was a paper bag in the passenger seat and Billy looked in it, expecting to see something nasty. Well, it was, just not as nasty as you'd think. It was meat gone bad. He started looking all through the car and just couldn't find anything useful. He then climbed back out of the car as he said, "Dusty, this car's a dud. Only gots bad meat."

Meanwhile, Devan was wallowing in her drunkenness. She had been sitting in the van, drinking on yet another bottle of alcohol, and only making her situation worst. She'd started thinking she should just stop, then she started thinking about how bad things were and started drinking again. It was just getting bad. The last thing the group needed was a drunk member. And the very last thing they needed was a drunk Devan. A drunk Devan was nothing to kid about. She could get herself so fucked up when drunk, she honestly wouldn't believe how stupid she could be. Like this fucked up hand of her, for instance. A normal Devan would had been smart enough to bring her bat, and even if she did honestly forget it, she would have been smart enough to find a rock or something to break that damn car window instead of her own hand!

Devan was pulled from her thoughts at the sound of Will getting in the van. She wanted to ask him why he had to be so damn loud about it, but she just didn't feel like it. She just stared at him blankly before he asked her if she was alright. Then, in all seriousness, she answered. "I'll be fine. But, I swear, man, that damn car was askin' for it! I swear, it was looking at me too damn funny! And it didn't even have shit in it, just a box of coke filled crucifixes! I wouldn't be surprised if it was the fucking Popes shit though, it was a Lamborghini...." Devan went on. She probably would have kept on with her belief that the Pope was after her, but was cut short of thought just in time for Will to say to show Dusty when she can. At that, she sighed and looked down at her precious bottle that was getting her into this mess. "Will, ol' buddy ol' pal, take this, please. I think I've had enough and can't trust myself with that bastard." She said, handing Will the bottle. Yeah, she had more, but it was in her bag which was on the floor, stuff under the seat where she wouldn't be able to reach it once the lot get's in the van.

After a short moment, they all did. And then they started driving again. Devan just tried her best not to pass out. If she did pass out, she'd either hit the side of the van and get herself hurt...again. Or she'd fall on Zara, and Devan had enough since left to know that wouldn't be a good thing...if she couldn't remember it. So, she just did her best to not pass out. This meant she was being restless and wouldn't stay still.

Aaron got back in the van after the others and sat down. After a while of them driving, he heard fast driving and looked out the back window... to see the three black SUVs retrofitted driving fast; they switch lanes and zoom by the van. He smiles cause he knew they were from the Refugee Camp, "Arrowhead".

"Look! Look! Its the good guys!" He laughed with excitement. He held his teddy bear tightly and said to it, "We're going to be just fine, Smokey!" He looked at the others and then up ahead at the SUVs in front. Aaron then looked down at some food and started digging through it... trying to find something he liked or wanted. He didn't know you can't be picky during this time... he still doesn't know the world has actually ended...

"Ooooo canned peaches!" He looks as if anyone can open it. "Uhhh anyone open this for me?" Aaron held hand out. He thought to himself and almost forgot, "Oh! I almost forgot, here. Take these." He handed the bag of treats to Jace for Dodger. "For your big doggy!"

The SUVs kept driving fast to get to the safe house and to find that damn CDC Doctor to kill. They don't know that he wasn't the start of this apocalypse... but the Government thinks he is, so their first solution is to kill the doctor. But the FBI are going to meet up with Agent Isaacs first, set up at the safe house and begin the hunt. They had crates of weapons, ammunition and supplies in the back of each SUV, and four agents per truck.

Aaron spoke too soon, "They are the last survivors including me... of a Refugee camp... We had to leave it because those crazy people were swarming the fence and broke through... they started killing everyone, including children. Other Caravans and Choppers went different directions... to find other camps." He lowered his head for hiding that truth from everyone, he felt bad and sad. He just sat back down and held teddy bear to his chest, sniffling cause of all the death he seen at the camp... and his parents deaths in the chopper and then the Pilot who sacrificed himself for them to escape.

Dusty had whooped for Billy when he threw the rock at the Hummer, it was exciting he found. It was just different from what Dusty was like before the end of the world. Before, Dusty would have been the first person to turn Billy in for damaging a car, even if it was abandoned. Dusty was a nerd, no denying that, and given his sarcasm, finding people he liked to talk to was difficult at times. He had his friends, but he was in high school, the gay guy who could perform a C-section was not exactly a prime person that one chose for friendship. However, all of those assholes were dead, and Dusty honestly tried to remember any of the his group from his high school. although nothing really seemed to click in his mind. It was a possibility he shared Homeroom with Zara or Chemistry with William, and just didn't remember. Although, if they had been in a class together, talking about that now would be rather sad and or pointless.

Speaking of pointless, Dusty gave out a loud, AWWW, when the Hummer proved to only be a meat locker. He didn't really know what to expect, not that he expected to find a collection of Amy Winehouse CD's or food, but rotten meat seemed rather like slap in the face. They smelt that all the time, with all the dead bodies, and it their was just a 'screw you' from the gods above.

Shrugging it off, he walked with Billy back to the van, and they got in, in the same position as before, and the van took off. When he saw Devan in her slump/normal behavior, he rolled his eyes. He then began to sing quietly, "They try to make me go to rehab, but I say no, no, no." And he then smirked at Billy, and laughed small, most likely adding to the whole nerd thing he had going on, but he didn't really mind. Where else would he be able to say that. He honestly wanted to try some of her alcohol, he had only had a sip of beer once, but he was curious about it. However, asking for the bottle after his little song would seem odd, so he said to Billy.

"Can you ask her for a bottle, I kinda want to try a drink." He then added his puppy dog eyes, "Pretty Please with whip cream on top?"

Billy had a neutral look on his face as they started off again. He started thinking of everything that could go wrong in a car full of teenagers and little kids. His eyes widened at the possibilities of stuff that cannot be mentioned. He was pulled from his thoughts at the sound of...singing? Singing? Really? He looked around with narrow eyes trying to figure out who was singing and realized it was Dusty. Why the fuck was Dusty singing? Honestly, he could care less. Oh, if only he could. But, of course, Billy was breaking rule number one. Don't get attached. He'll just end up hurting him in the long run, literally.

When Dusty gave him a smirk, a small smile appeared on his face. It was odd, his singing, and made no since whatsoever, but it lightened the mood a little, for Billy at least. He was fairly shocked though after hearing Dusty ask him to ask Devan for her bottle. Billy looked at the drunk girl with a confused look. He couldn't understand why Dusty, out of all people, wanted to try some alcohol. But, then again, Billy really didn't know the kid. So, he wasn't going to judge. But he was sure going to judge people who are just getting themselves fucked by drinking that shit. He gave a look at Dusty that said really? Are you serious? Then, as if to answer his question, he said the whole thing little kids say when they really want something. How could Billy say know to a face like that?

He let out a sigh and sat forward some before speaking. "Hey, uh, Devan?" He said, trying to make sure he got her name right. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow slightly before it settled and she replied, in a rather drunk fashion. "Yo!" Billy blinked twice, not sure what to think about her...drunkenness. "Uh, can I see that?" He said, pointing to her bottle. Devan looked mildly surprised at this and looked him in the eye, dead-serious expression on her face. "You know this is tequila, right? This the hard shit, man. It ain't light like beer." Billy was starting to get a little irritated at he drunkenness and just the way she was acting in general. "Yeah, and, did you know, I don't give a shit? Just, give me the damn bottle." Billy's irritated side was showing slightly, and he was starting to get angry. Devan's expression was dead cold as she shrugged and handed him the bottle in her slightly messed up hand. "Damn, dude, chill."

Grabbing the bottle, Billy had thought of taking a swig himself, but decided against it and handed it to Dusty. "There you go." He said as he did so, a small smile on his face. At this point, Billy decided he wasn't going to like any of these people. Except for Dusty, of course. He just kind of grew on him.

"You know that they don't bite, right?" Alicia's joking voice pulled Rain's focus away from the gun. Half smiling, Rain nodded, "Yeah, I know. I..." He what? Couldn't find the words? Yeah, that was it. He had looked at Moon and suddenly became aware of a knot in his stomach. Woah, that was new.
Taking the gun from Rain and then placing it back in his hands the right way, Moon laughed "If you want someone to teach you how to use that, I'm only $1,500 an hour." She then reached for something beside him and Rain realized that she was grabbing the box of Lucky Charms, "Or these, Moon added, "I love Lucky Charms."
Rain nodded, "I have about... five cents. They're all yours." He said, gesturing to the cereal. Rain then looked around, wondering if anyone was close enough to hear him, then said to Alicia, "I seriously have no idea how to use this thing. Help is appreciated." He admitted, thankful that she had offered and he hadn't had to ask her. The only weapons that he had ever used were a chair from a restaurant and a walking cane that he had taken from some poor old dead lady. Not even when the apocalypse happened did Rain think he'd need a gun... he was kind of prone unfortunate accidents when he was deemed responsible enough to carry an item that could cause one.

"You guys ready?!" William called as he took the drivers seat. Rain sighed, Back into the box of stink. he thought glumly, obviously not very excited to continue the road trip.
"Shooting practice later?" Rain asked, twirling the gun in his hand. He immediately stopped out of the fear that he would accidently pull the trigger, but unfortunately it had slipped from his grasp and Rain fumbled to catch it before it hit the ground. He caught it, forced a smile, then tried to hide the fact that he felt stupid for nearly dropping the dumb thing.
After that, the rest of the group piled into the van and off they went. To the 'safe house'.
Please don't be turn out to be a place infested with zombies. Rain prayed, Anything but a place infested with zombies.

Jace wiped his hands off on his bloodstained jeans as he watched the car slowly clunk into the the guard rail on the side of the road. Zara shot him a smile, an expression he wasn't all that used to be directed to him but he followed up with one of his own none the less. He waited for her to make it to him before he turned back to the van, eyeing it with apprehension. God did he not want to be stuck in that small cramp death machine for another few hours.

"To bad we can't take one of these for a spin, the van is a little cramped for my liking." Jace blinked as Zara basically spoke his mind, turning his attention back to her with raised brows. He chuckled, at her words and their likeness to his own thoughts, then nodded in agreement.

"Honestly, I may just shoot myself with my own gun if we get stuck in their too long without a break" He answered back in a joking fashion, sending a gruff and angry look at the green van, "As much of a god-send that pile of junk is, its hell to ride in. I'm glad you found it though, think you may have saved our lives"

Jace looked back at Zara, a small smile of amusement playing across his face. Out of the whole group, Zara seemed to be the one that actually understood why he acted the way he did. Yes, he did things out of turn and without 'permission', but he only did everything he did for the protection of himself (and the group at times). He did care about them...even if he did get hot-headed and angry. Strangely, this bow-bearing girl understood, which was a breath of fresh air in itself.

They both made their way to the van, which was already filling up with the group. Jace paused by the door and whistled for Dodger, who was busy sniffing the various trees lining the road side. The dog instantly lifted his head for his master and quickly jogged to him, then leapt into the van at Jace's command. The dark haired teenager climbed in after him, sliding in next to Zara and tucking Dodger's head in between in legs once again. Jace sighed, settling into the worn out seats and running his hand through Dodgers fur once more. He glanced to his side at Zara, then up towards Tori and William, then let a long sigh escape him.

It was going to be a long ass drive.

"Wake me if everyone falls asleep. I'll help keep you up." William looked down at his lap where Tori was resting comfortably, a content smile rested on the serious leaders face as he enjoyed the feeling of Tori's presence. Carefully taking one hand off the wheel he gently moved a strand of hair out of Tori's face and tucked it behind her ear.

Keep your eyes on the road. He reminded himself as he unwillingly tore his eye away from his redheaded love.

Looking through the rear view mirror he caught sight of Dusty with a bottle of alcohol, shaking his head he finally set his eyes on the road that definitely wasn't a sight he was expecting. Though its not like he was judging the brown haired boy, it wasn't his place and what was he going to say Dusty put the bottle down we need you sober just in case you need to stitch anyone up. Well I guess he could, it sounded legit-admit. Turning sharply Will let out a breath of air as he slimly avoided colliding with another car,he really needed to pay attention to the road.

After a while of driving he felt the engine sputter under him, looking down he noticed that the gas tank was almost on E. Turning the corner the small van looked to have entered a small abandoned town. A few stores lay here and there with a motel a few yards away. The whole area looked eerie, kind of like something out of a ghost movie. An old abandoned town haunted by the undead who couldn't past on.

Will shook his head an almost dry laugh escaping his lips as he realized they were in an old abandoned town which was haunted by the walking dead. It seemed like only a few of the undead suckers on the streets, nothing the group couldn't handle.

"Hey guys." Will called out to the group unaware of who was sleep and who was awake. "Lets stop here for the night, we'll refill the van in the morning, and we'll all be rested and ready to continue." Stoping the van in front of the small molding motel William carefully shook Tori awake.

"Hey we're going to rest here for the night." Giving her a smile William slowly climbed out of the van stretching his arms and legs, the cramped up space in the car was taking a toll on his body. Looking over his shoulder he noticed a single zombie limping towards him, taking out his crowbar he quickly took out the flesh eating creature that had came to greet him. It seemed like it was the only one that noticed them so far.

The small motel seemed bigger to him now as he stood looking up at it. He could only hope nothing was awaiting them on the inside, and the dark sky sure as hell wasn't giving him any reassurance.

"Now we all don't have to sleep in the same room, but lets at least try to stay close to each other." Doing a quick headcount before continuing Will gave his group a serious look.

"Also we're having a group meeting before anyone goes to bed, got it?" he asked meeting everyones eyes before turning and entering the old motel crowbar raised.

Tori was sleeping soundly when the car pulled to a stop. She was awake but didn't want to leave her warm nest of pillow and Will-lap. She waited till he gave her a gentle shove and sat up rubbing her eyes and yawning.

“Hey we're going to rest here for the night." he said giving her one of his glorious smiles. She smiled back and also climbed out of the van. It felt good to get a few hours of sleep, and also to get out to stretch her limbs. That had been the best sleep she had gotten in a long time.

Zara waited for Jace to exit the van and then climbed out behind him. She offered her hand to Devan, knowing good and well that she was going to have a hard time to get out of the van by herself.

“Come on,” She rolled her eyes jokingly as she helped the girl from the van. “What would you do without me?” She then pulled her bow from her back and restrung it. The street was basically empty, but she wouldn't be her if she wasn't cautious.

Tori went back into leader mode now that her brain wasn't fogged with sleep exhaustion.

“Stick in tight, stay close, we don't know what is in here yet. Just because the street is empty doesn't mean that everything else is.” She checked her pistol, making sure it was loaded and then grabbed her backpack from the floor board. She hoped to god that there was some running water in this place. She couldn't go flirting with Will smelling more like the dead than the zombies did.

She took her normal place by Will's side, entering the hotel. She did the first thing that felt natural and reached for the light switch. To her surprise, the place lit up when she flicked it.

“Amazing,” she breathed. “Either they have power still or maybe a backup generator.” Either way, she was grateful. Stumbling around in the dark didn't feel promising.

One zombie came at her from the hall at the sound of her voice, instead of using her gun and drawing more attention to them she took him down with her hunting knife. It seemed the place was pretty barren.

She found a door labeled conference room and swung open the door. It was empty as well, the lack of the undead was almost unsettling.

“Okay, split up into small groups, check out the building. Meet back here in ten for the group meeting.”

She started to assign groups.

“Jace, Zara, and Devan you guys take rooms one through ten.” because they would need both Jace and Zara to help keep drunk Devan in line.

“Rain, Moon, Dusty and Billy, you guys take the front section of this floor.” Because Tori didn't want to hear Dusty mope if she separated him from Billy, and Moon was a good enough fighter to make up for Rain's lack of the ability to kill things.

“Ken you can walk the perimeter,” Because face it, the guy worked well alone and she trusted him enough to let him be by himself at this point. Also his rifle was good for far off fighting if need be.

“Me and Will are going to take the back section of this floor, and check rooms ten through twenty five.” She was looking at a map as she said these things. It was a pretty small hotel and the group could check it out pretty easily, plus she might finally be able to have a chance to talk to their leader.

“Okay? Be careful.” She started off in her assigned direction. "Kids stay here. Keep the door shut and we will be back soon."

Zara shrugged her shoulders and started off toward the opposite end of the hotel.

“Ready to go bust some skulls?” she asked with a smirk, then headed to the first room.

Billy watched Dusty as he took a drink of the tequila and had something that Billy could only explain was a spaz attack. It must be real hot. He thought as he watched him with a mix of fear and concern on his face. Billy wasn't really one for drinking. The only alcoholic beverage he's ever drunk was different brands of beer and that's about it. Once Dusty's little spaz attack was over and he kind of explained how it tasted, Billy couldn't help but smile slightly and shake his head. "That's how you know you shouldn't be drinking it." He said quietly. And narrowed his eyes slightly as they pulled into a ghost town then into the parking lot of a creepy little motel. If there was one thing horror movies taught him, it was that you never go into a motel that's in a ghost town because there's only one thing that could happen...

Everyone's going to die... Billy thought with wide eyes as he looked through the window at the place. He jumped slightly when Will had said they were staying here for the night and he jumped again at a gun shot. And, yet again at Dusty speaking. "Y-yeah." Billy said absentmindedly as he stared up at the building as he climbed out of the car and, yet again, waited for Dusty.

Devan, on the other hand, could hardly figure out what was going on. She was dizzy and was just about ready to give up and pass out before they stopped, not that she could tell though. She honestly thought they were still moving when people started getting out of the car. She looked down and tried focusing her eyes before looking out of the van door up at the building and he eyes going wide. "Oh lordy..." She said. It was barely audible, but the expression on her face spoke for itself.

She couldn't understand how it even seemed like a good idea to stay in a place that looked like one of the places you'd see on TV where a guy would rape a little girl. Or a place where police would find a woman drowned in the bathtub. Hell, it looked like a place where a serial killer would take his victims and chop them up into little pieces! She hadn't even noticed Zara offering her a hand to get out of the damn fan until she spoke up.

Devan eyed her for a moment, trying to focus her eyes, then took her hand and got out of that damn van. Of course, Devan would have fell flat on her face or ass if she hadn't had help to get out of the van. And, as if rubbing it in, Zara had to ask what she would do without her once she was out. Devan just looked at the ground amount, trying to get her footing, before looking up at the girl and, completely serious, saying "I'd fall dead on my ass."

Then, off into the Murder Motel they went. Oh, what fun. Devan was tripping over herself the whole time, while Billy was able to just stroll calmly inside with Dusty by his side. But, nothing could compare Devan's expression as the lights flickered on. A large smile appearing on her face as she looked around. So, it wasn't the nicest motel, but it had electricity. And having electricity meant there was a good chance of running water. Holding her bat loosely in her hand, Devan leaned on the large desk that was on the inside of the motel as Tori decided to split them up into groups. After that was done and everyone started going the ways they were told, Devan sighed and started walking, or stumbling, after Zara. "Hey, ya' think they got running water? I'd do anything to just go sit in a cold shower." Devan rambled on drunkenly, using the wall to help her as she walked.

Rain had accidentally fallen asleep. Yes, accidently. Sleeping in a van full of people who needed to bathe wasn't on his big list of someday accomplishments. Secondly, Rain was pretty sure that he drooled in his sleep. Why did that matter? It didn't, really. Rain just felt odd about the other members in the group seeing him drool.
"Hey guys." William's voice from the front of the van jerked Rain awake, "Lets stop here for the night, we'll refill the van in the morning, and we'll all be rested and ready to continue." William continued.
Rain sleepily looked out the window and narrowed his eyes in confusion, "Why are we at a horror movie set?" He asked, stifling a yawn.
Everyone got out of the van and Rain realized that they hadn't stopped at some creepy movie set, they were just at some creepy abandoned motel. Honestly he would have preferred the set.
William said something about not staying in the same room but still staying close, then another thing about a group meeting. Nodding, Rain was surprised to find himself wishing that he could just go back to sleep.
At least they were out of the van.
"This is part of your lesson, pay attention." Moon said, surprising Rain even more. He hadn't noticed that she was beside him until she had spoken. Barely a second later a gunshot went off.
"Oh." Was the brilliant word Rain thought of to say.

The group entered the motel and Tori flicked on the lights. Rain was amazed at both the power still working and the idea of the backup generator still working as well. Decision was made, this motel was a good place to stay.
Victoria continued to speak, announcing that they'd be splitting up into groups. Rain made sure to listen closely to this, Zara, Jace and Devan would assigned rooms one through ten, and Moon, Dusty, Billy and himself were assigned the front section of the floor they were on.
Easy enough.

Rain began to look around, making sure he was still close to the others in the group Tori had assigned. Once or twice he got distracted and began flicking on and off the light switches, just for the fun he found in doing it.
He did remember to check and see if any infected were hanging around, but the only ones he saw were just the fully dead ones. He checked the pockets of one of them and found a packet of gum with a few pieces left in it. Rain, hesitant to be taking gum from a dead man, put the packet back where he found it and continued looking around.

If anyone asked, Jace did not nod off during the ride. He simply had just allowed his eyes to slip shut for a moment, then open at the exact moment that Will announced their destination for the night. His eyes opened wide, blinking blearily as he stared up ahead and adjusted himself to the moment. Outside, he could see a terrifying looking hotel that looked like the should just continue on down the road. He stared at it, frowned, and looked back at William with a 'what-the-fuck' expression. Of course, their leader was too busy being enraptured by Tori, so he would not notice Jace's off-put look.

With a sigh, Jace climbed out of the van, Dodger right on his heels. He stared up at the hotel, grimacing at its appearance before turning back to to the assembled group.

"Now we all don't have to sleep in the same room, but lets at least try to stay close to each other. Also we're having a group meeting before anyone goes to bed, got it?" Jace sighed at Williams words, not looking forward to the group meeting. Frankly, after his quick 'shut-eye' in the van, Jace was irritable and ready to sleep. He turned and followed the group inside, keeping his hand on his withdrawn hunting knife as they entered the building.

Jace breathed in a gasp of amazement at the flicker of electricity, the lighting of the building surprising him more then he had been in a while. He looked around, his eyes blinking at the artificial light. While he was busy being amazed, a damned zombie was able to slip into the room. Thankfully, Tori dispatched it quick enough, though he had no doubt anyone in the group could take care of one walking corpse. He stayed int he main room while she continued on to a bigger one, simply standing tiredly next to Dodger while he awaited the plans.

“Okay, split up into small groups, check out the building. Meet back here in ten for the group meeting. Jace, Zara, and Devan you guys take rooms one through ten.” because they would need both Jace and Zara to help keep drunk Devan in line" The tired dark haired teen glanced over at Zara and Devan, giving the later a disgruntled and irritated look. He sighed and nodded, swinging the shotgun round to his side just in case. Jace and Dodger followed after the two girls, heading off to the hallway labeled 1-10.

“Ready to go bust some skulls?” Zara said, causing a small grin to spread over Jace's face. He nodded, lifting his red stained knife with an excited glint in his eye.

"Hell yeah, hopefully we get a good herd of 'em to cirb-stomp their brains out" He chuckled, glancing at Devan as she stumbled along.

"Hey, ya' think they got running water? I'd do anything to just go sit in a cold shower." The drunk girl rambled out, forcing Jace to hold back an eye roll. Though she did have a point, his dark hair was beginning to feel like it was permanently caked to his head with the amount of blood and gunk that had dried in it since the last time he had been able to wash it. And he didn't even want to get started on his clothing...he probably smelled just as good as one of the zombies themselves.

"I don't think we're gonna get that lucky, but if we get electricity and water, I'm calling this place heaven" He answered her in a gruff but conversational tone. He didn't really talk much with the whole group, but when they were singled out like this he tended to open his mouth a lot more.
