Swords- One of the most common Ryder weapons for its durability and ease in accessibility and usage.
Morphology-Scabbard: Sheath in which sword is placed when not in use.
-Blade: part of sword used for combat
-Hilt- allows for handling of the blade, consists of consecutive parts
-Grip: The "handle" in which the wielder holds. Is made out of wood or metal and covered in shagreen, which can be either untanned leather, shark skin, or ray skin in the case of the japanese katana.
-Pommel: weighted end of the handle, gives counterweight and balance to blade and allows for fluid fighting style.
-Guard or Cross Guard: Prevents slippage of the hand when thrusting
-Ricasso: A blunt area of the blade below the guard, seen mainly on two handed blades as it gave a third hand position used for leverage.
-Sword knot/strap: a tassel, usually decorative that prevented the sword from being lost if dropped.
TypologySingle edged swords- (single handed)
Backsword: Easy and cheap to make, a favorite side arm among Ryders who have lost their main weapon in the fray.
Cutlass: Common among Ryders who defend the coastal towns of Cree
Dao: Developed long ago from a knife
Dussack: Very rarely seen out in battle. Used mainly for training.
Falchions: Only seen among poorer Ryders since it is cheap to make unlike longer better quality swords. Comes in two versions

Hunting Sword: Only every really seen and used among the more rugged and lone wolf type of Ryders. As its name suggests it is not often used in combat but for hunting and skinning food in the wilderness.
Karabela: Used mainly among footed and unicorn mounted Ryders.
Shashka: Found to be favored by those from Aquilones, unique for its lack of a guard.

Dadao- deadly and fast, based of knives like the Dao
Butterfly sword(Hudieshuangdoo):Often used in pairs by Ryders with Fairy companions.
Hook swords: Some of the most difficult to master but the most badass to use. Can be linked by a chain and swung to increase range.
Katana: Unique to Nippon village, exceptionally strong due to the way its made
Double edged sword-(single handed)
Arming sword- Favored for its durability as both an effective weapon and shield.
Rapier- Though good for fair duels and prestige this sword is not commonly used out in heavy battles for its poor cutting ability and difficulty of technique to use it. For those who can master it however are unusually quick witted and quick footed.
Kaskara- Used frequently by those who traverse the desert portions of Cree
Shotel- Unique for its curved blade, it is often called the "Savage".

Long sword: As its name suggests, the Long Sword has a long blade, comes in two forms
-Estoc: A blade with very little cutting ability, made for piercing or shattering mail and armor.
-Claymore: These swords have broad heavy blades make these blades unpopular among the physically weak
Flamberge: If not used properly, parrying with this sword can send unpleasant vibrations down the wielder's arm's
Hammers- While not as common as swords these tools turned weapons are useful and great for doing damage.
Morphology-Handle: Where the hammer is heald.
-Head:Blunt part used for dealing damage.
TypologyMaul: Surprisingly these have been used as secondary weapons for archers.
Bec De Corbin(Crow's Beak): Favored by mounted Ryders for its length.
Horseman's Pick: Seen mainly among those with Unicorn Companions
Lucerne: A combination of the Bec de Corbin and the Horseman's pick
Axes: Originating from the more densely wooded areas of Cree, the axe contends with the sword as one of the most commonly used weapons for its simpleness in make and availability.
Morphology-Head: Blade of the axe, which contains several parts.
-Bit: Cutting edge of the Head.
-Poll: Opposite end of the Head from the Bit
-Toe: Top edge of Bit
-Heel: Bottom edge of the Bit
-Cheeks: The sides of the Head
-Eye: hole where the Haft is mounted
-Beard: when the Bit extends below the head
-Haft: The handle of the axe, usually made of hardwoods like hickory or ash
-Shoulder: where the Haft mounts into the Head.
-Belly: longest part of the Haft
-Throat: where the Haft curves sharply
-Grip: shortest section of the Haft
-Knob: end of Haft

Halberd: A versatile and cheap to make weapon that has been refined from it's primitive origins, making it a favorite among axe users.
Tomahawk: Refined from the original tool for closer combat and the ability to be thrown. Such an ability has also been turned into a sport for the average citizen to watch.

Pole Weapons and Staffs[b]- least used out of all weapons for Ryders but still found useful by some.
Typology Magic Staff- Wooden staffs are most often used by Mage's for their ability to conduct magic efficiently and versatility as a physical weapon. Can come it many forms depending on the Mage's choosing.
Sometimes Mage's will place crystals that they enchant on one end as a place for the magic to charge into a concentrated blast.
Pole Weapons-
Guan Doa-Coming from a form of martial arts designed to deflect as disarm an opponent, the blade is heavy enough that when combined with enough momentum it can cut almost any type of armor.
Can also have two blades, one on each end.
Nagamaki: Another weapon unique to Nippon Village, its elongated handle is held with two hands and the blade is very similar to that of a Katana.
Sovnya- Originally from Aniquilous and favoured by mounted Ryders.
