Athias' Characters

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Athias on Wed Jul 02, 2008 4:12 pm

Name: Trist (Guess why I named him that and win a prize.)
True name: The Crying Man
Species: Dream (In the form of a Kami)
Age: Unknown (Almost 600 years.)
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Blue (Always)
Hair color: Black (Kami form only)
Human height: Varies, no more than 6’ 1”
Kami (true) height: 7’ 2”
Weight: 450lbs
Weapons: Two large katana, held in a sash that goes across his waist.
Clothing: A simple black kimono with white pants. (Note: He wears this in both forms, the only thing that changes is the size.)

On dreams: A dream is the physical manifestation of myth. Or rather, a dream is the collective belief of a large number of humans that takes physical form. Once the belief in the creature that a dream has taken the form of fades, one of three things may happen. The dream may fade out and die, take the form of another mythological beast or, on a rare occasion, the dream will be strong enough to keep that form, and keep it for an indefinite amount of time.

It’s also interesting to note that the dream is not aware of what it truly is, and believes itself to be what it has taken the form of. At this point it is unknown as to what would happen if a dream would realise what it truly is.

Personality: At a first glance, Trist appears aloof, bordering on apathetic, towards other people. He rarely offer help unless he's after something (such as food if he's hungry), and often even seems reluctant to save people's lives. Trist spends all of his time on the arts, both normal, such as painting, and foreign, such as drinking tea, he also considers battles art, and engages in them whenever possible. However, the truth is far from simple. Trist's apparent apathy and obsession with art are due to his incredibly long life (around 600 years), for several hundred years, Trist was once a very warm character, making as many friend and allys as possible. But as Trist lived on, they simply continued to die, from age, disease or war. Eventually, unable to stand it any more, Trist developed an apathy towards others in order to prevent more suffering on his behalf. His obssesion with art gradually increased as a way to take his thoughts off of others and how weak he truly is for simply giving up.

Appearance:
Humanoid: Trist’s humanoid appearance is used, for the most part, outside of battle. His humanoid appearance varies, as he is able to change is at will. Trist’s only defining characteristics are his blue eyes, and the shallow, tear-drop shaped scars resting under each of them. Trist can switch in and out of this appearance at will.

Kami: Trist’s kami form is unmistakable. Trist’s iridescent flesh is smooth and clammy, with a thin foamy external layer which makes it slippery to the touch. Trist’s legs are similar to those of a frog, the only differences being his retractable claws, which unlike those of some frogs, do not break the flesh when extended. Trist’s arms are disproportionately large for his body, but, save for his frog-like flesh, are similar to those of a human. While Trist’s neck is somewhat long, it’s barely noticeable, as most people’s attention would be drawn to his face. Trist’s ‘face’ is similar to a noh mask, with slim, crescent eyes (with large painted tears under them, hence his name) and large, long, red lips.

Abilities and attributes:
Physical:
Super-Tongue: Trist’s long tongue (Which is approximately as large as him) is strong and froglike, giving him the ability to whip it out of his mouth and use it as a weapon.

Increased speed/strength: Mostly due to his size and body-structure, Trist is slightly faster and stronger than most average humans.

Regeneration: While most of Trist's body heals at a normal pace, Trist's tongue and toes have the ability to fully regenerate at a rapid pace.

Magical:
Despite a lack of gills, Trist has the ability to breath underwater, including polluted/muddy water (which is just like polluted water to him), however, he has trouble seeing through polluted or muddy water, albeit slightly less trouble than most.

Skilled Aquamancy: Trist is an aquamancer, one of the least used of the 4 basic elements. (not counting the ability to conjure ice as aquamancy) However, Trist's raw magical power is more limited than most mages, so, to compensate, he spent more of his time developing skill with water rather than power. His abilities range from basic water whips to using water as a temporary platform to jump off of in midair (He has the ability to manipulater the density of water, but is unable to change it's phase). Trist also has the ability to draw water from plants and dead animals. (he is unable, or unwilling -perhaps both- to do so from living animals) His last special ability is to transfer water from one place to another. (Trist could suck the water from one area and then redistribute it to another.)

"Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe." - Neil Gaiman

Name: None
Nickname: The Glass Man
Species: Demon
Age: Unknown
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 130 pounds

Clothing: The Glass Man wears a standard black tuxedo and black pants.

Appearance: The Glass Man is true to his psuedonym, and his skin truly looks like glass. In fact, his skin is a combination between flesh and glass, which is stronger against physical attacks than glass, but weaker to them than flesh. His eyes are nothing but empty sockets, and his grin is long and cracked.

Personality: The Glass Man is a sadist in every sense of the world. He loves nothing more than to cause pain and suffering to everyone he lays eyes on, relishing the fear in their eyes right before their moment of death. The Glass Man also shows sides of masochism, laughing when a peice of his body is shattered or when he cuts himself for a ritual, however, this may be an act, determined to put even more fear into his victims hearts.

Abilities:

Glassmancy: The Glass man has the ability to summon, form and manipulate glass, using it as his main weapon. This is especially deadly due to his ability to do it quickly, catching victims off-gaurd and dispatching them with a volley of glass shards.

Magical Resistance: While The Glass Man's body is weak to physical attacks, it is strong against magical attacks. The Glass Man can survive in fire much longer than most humans, and is less affected by lightning or energy based magic blasts. The Glass Man is also immune to poison.\

Summoning: The Glass Man also has the ability to summon other demons, most notably 7 demons that, inone way or another, correspond to the seven deadly sins.
(Note that these are physical beings, and can not be dispelled by any sort of anti-magic or anything of the sort)
Envy: A humanoid demon with superfolous eyes covering it's entire body, it can pop one of these eyes to gain the powers and abilities of an opponent. It's body can even copy weapons.

Hatred: A large, bipedal demon with the face and appearance of a rat. It's long tail is covered with spikes at the end, and it's arms are long with large claws on it's spindly hands. It's immensly fast.

Fatigue: Fatigue is huge, easily over ten yards in height. It's legs are disproportionatly small, an it is incapable of standing. However, this is balanced by it's huge, dispropotionatly large arms, which it uses to pull it'self forwards and bash annoyances. It's lungs are also very large, and it's breath is capable of sending most humans flying away.

Hunger: From the Neck down, Gluttony appears to be a slightly large hippopotamus, with thick skin and strong legs, however, Gluttony's face is nothing more than a giant mouth, which dissolves everything that enters it. Gluttony has no eyes, and finds it's prey through it's ears and nostrils, which are both on the top of it's head.

Need: Need is a demon which hide in an almost impenetrable shell filled with crack-like holes. Out from these holes come's Need's 'arms' which are actually long, almost unending chains of arms. Need can manipulat all of it's hands, making them sticky, giving them claws, or even disconnecting the to form little insect-like beings which attack it's enemies.

Poverty:

Conceit:

(Will finish the last two later.)
