"I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:43.
Such a question of outlandish proportions was not so farfetched as the granting of it was. Picturing the image of an ex-con who in all his time had never said grace, much less do anything to deserve such. A man of age who instead had spent his time turning his back on God, blind to his own duty, destiny, and value. A flatnosed ex-con asking God's son for eternal life to be granted and trying to imagine the appeal being honored? That is of such absurdity that steps beyond the realm of reality. However, absurd as this may have been, that is exactly what happened. The one who deserved Hell got Heaven. A man who was convinced that the human race is headed nowhere and that man has no destiny. There is no reason or rhyme to mankinds absurd existence. Creating of this spinning mausoleum known as Earth and the purposeless universe has no direction. So, if he has no destiny, then he should have no Duty. No obligations or responsibilities to fulfill. With no destiny then he was granted no guidelines or goals, no right or wrong. With this, that ex-con thought he and everyone else had no Value. With no future in store for mankind, then there's not much worth in man. With no reason of being here, then there's no value.
This is what the con came to think over the years of his fair share in the game of Life. That value is measured by two things, appearance and performance. So, where does this leave the mentally challenged, the ugly, the uneducated, the aged or handicapped? All this, everything, made no sense and seemed to, in one way or another contradict itself. Leaving him in a state of confusion that, in the end, lead him to a path of blindness. But this would soon be turned around, for this is the primeape's value system. Not God's.
Sacred Scriptures of Christians and Judaism were read aloud by an amiable voice. "Not by might, or power, but by my spirit, says the Lord."
God's plan is more nourishing. God takes a stand at the philosopher's blackboard and draws a line; one filled with hope and promise. At this time, where the con was caught, sentenced to execution, God showed Love. Why? Because God saw man heading somewhere with a brighter future and Jesus' love does not depend upon what we do for him. In the eyes of the King, you have value simply because you are; value inborn - valuable just for existing. God showed mankind by saving such a loser from destruction to show this.

Mindset now that of a ten year old, innocence was once more restored to the twenty one year old male. A second chance. A chance that had a brighter and more uplifting spirit. Where fate would take him to a Monestary known as Sancta Monestary. There the childish male with all his giggles and joys and unmatched spirit would find six other saints, all taken the same pledge of loyalty to Him. In the times to come, it would be realized that infact nobody else could touch the height of his spirit and became known as "Con Spirito", With Spirit.
Shining a light to a new path that would lead to a new revolution. The saved one left his old name of Matthew and got it changed to Matthias. Life now dedicated to the opposite of the previous; reborn asThe savior of man, Guardian of Justice, and the thankfull one.
Spirit is matter seen in a stronger light. And this light would be Matthias. "Not by might, or power, but by my spirit, says the Lord."
