"Xena took a few steps onto the sand behind a small crowd on onlookers. She widened her seafoam eyes at the sunset they were all watching and readied her stance. Her patience was well worth the wait when the drumbeat sounded, and she began to take a few steps to the beat.
As the attention of the crowd turned back in her direction, she began her dance toward the brazier flames, setting to light a set of small orbs which dangled from spun cord. Within a few mere motions, they swung about in careful momentum with her performance. They became extensions of each arm, twirling about and smearing the dusky sky with just enough fire to show her bare legs crossing each other under a pale sarong.
Ensorcled in controlled chaos, a story began to unfold with the music that filled the beach to replies of clapping hands. Xena took the liberty of nodding to the drummers and the tempo picked up.
Commanding the element, her fire spinning took flips and bounds and reached a maddening speed as the audience came alive with cheers. Xena stretched and bent and pulled her body every which way with the flames licking ever closer to her face and exposed flesh. Finally the pounding ryhtym climaxed and came to a sudden stop matching the moment she took her closing pose, one knee buried n the sand and her head bowed low. The festivities of the night were just beginning."

That's an introduction some one wrote when asked how he would introduce me in a book. Maybe not my own words but I think its a lovely piece and it deserves to be seared.
